Structural, Morphological, Topographical Characterization of Titanium Dioxide Nanotubes Metal Substrates for Solar Cell Application
No full textHigh demand on energy conversion in DSSC, requires development of well-organized TiO2 nanotube structures because of their large surface area-to-volume ratio, superior lifetime and provision of optimal pathways for electron percolation. In this work multi-layered Titanium dioxide nanotubes (MTNTs) have been fabricated by an electrochemical anodization technique. MTNTs were annealed at 350‚°C, 450‚°C, 550‚°C and 650‚°C. The structural and morphological properties of the MTNTs have been evaluated by XRD, Confocal Raman Microscopy (CRM) through Large Area Scan (LAS), Depth Profiling (DP) and SEM analysis. SEM-EDX has been employed for element elucidation of TNTs. SEM analysis has revealed the change in surface with increase in annealing temperature. Moreover SEM analysis has revealed the presence of porous and MTNTs for the samples annealed at 350‚°C and 650‚°C with modal pore size of 35.56 nm and 31.05 nm respectively. EDX analysis has revealed that the fabricated MTNTs consist of Ti and O atoms. CRM has confirmed the presence of Anatase phase TiO2 with Raman vibration modes at 142.37 cm-1, 199.04 cm-1, 394.67 cm-1, 516.16 cm-1 and 639.29 cm-1with the Rutile phase TiO2 with Raman vibration modes at 445.26 cm-1 and 612.07 cm-1. The XRD analysis has revealed that the MTNTs consist of multiphase Anatase and Rutile phase depending on the annealing temperature. AFM has confirmed the existence of porous nano-tubular structure for all samples.</jats:p

Curso de Biblioteconomia.Estudo descritivo quantitativo com objetivo de mapear a produção técnico-científica do corpo docente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Odontologia na Área de Concentração em Dentística da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) por meio das publicações periódicas no período de 2006 a 2010. Os objetivos específicos foram: levantar os artigos publicados nos periódicos científicos pelo corpo docente que atua ou atuou nesse departamento no período estudado; caracterizar as publicações com base nas seguintes variáveis: caracterização do lócus da pesquisa; caracterização do corpus da pesquisa, quanto à formação acadêmica e às Instituições de titulação dos docentes; tipos de autoria, individual/colaboração; frequência das publicações dos docentes por ano; periódicos utilizados para a publicação; idioma do artigo da publicação; produtividade dos autores; classificação do Qualis dos periódicos; análise das citações dos docentes nas bases de dados SciELO, SCOPUS e Web of Science e o fator de impacto de cada autor. Os resultados obtidos possibilitaram identificar que os docentes do Programa de Pós-Graduação são todos graduados em Odontologia e doutores em diversas áreas, apresentando como instituição de origem de graduação com maior incidência a UFSC, 9 graduações, seguida da Universidade de São Paulo com 5. O tipo de autoria em colaboração predominou em comparação com o de autoria individual, com predominância dos artigos em idioma português. No período estudado o número de artigos publicados equivale a uma média de 16,6 por docente e a média anual do Programa de Pós Graduação equivale a 36,6. Os periódicos de publicação dos docentes, na maioria, obtiveram Qualis ―B‖, apenas 6 títulos obtiveram Qualis ―A‖. Essa constatação pode ser um dos indicadores que comprometeram a avaliação do Programa da Pós-Graduação, que obteve classificação 3 na última avaliação da CAPES. A produtividade dos autores mostrou um declínio no período analisado, tornando-se um contraponto se comparado com o avanço das publicações científicas produzidas hoje.Quantitative and descriptive study which aims to map the technical-scientific production of the Graduate Program in Dentistry in the Area of Concentration in Dentistry of Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) through the analysis of journals from 2006 to 2010. The specific objectives were: to identify the articles published in scientific journals by professors who work or have worked in the department during the studied period; to characterize the publications based on the following variables: locus characterization of the study; characterization of the corpus of the research based on training academic institutions and the titration of professors; types of authorship, individual / collaboration; frequency of publication of professors per year; journals used for publication; language of publication of the articles; authors' productivity; Qualis classification of the periodic; citation analysis of the articles in the databases SciELO, Scopus and Web of Science; and impact factor of each author. The results identified that the professors of the Graduate Program are all graduates in dentistry and doctors in many areas, with the highest incidence of graduation in UFSC, with 9 degrees, followed by the University of Sao Paulo with 5. Collaborative authorship predominated compared to single authorship, with the predominance of articles in Portuguese. During the studied period the number of articles published equates to an average of 16.6 per faculty and the annual average of the Graduate Program was 36.6. The periodic publication of the teachers mostly obtained Qualis "B", only 6 titles obtained Qualis "A". This finding may be an indicator that compromised the evaluation of the Graduate Program, that had grade 3 in the last CAPES classification. The productivity of the authors showed a decline in the period analyzed, making it a contrast compared to the current advance of scientific publications

Nesse livro, publicado em 1938, Dewey conclui suas reflexões sobre a teoria lógica apresentadas principalmente em Como pensamos, obra que mostra a relevância desse tema para a educação. A primeira parte do artigo é composta por um breve histórico da lógica, desde Aristóteles até o início do século XX; as duas partes seguintes apresentam o argumento do autor acerca da lógica aristotélica; a quarta parte expõe a teoria proposta por Dewey e as duas últimas seções analisam como Dewey vê Aristóteles, considerando a via interpretativa oriunda da escolástica e o movimento contemporâneo de revisão das ideias aristotélicas. No intuito de oferecer contribuições para futuros estudos, o trabalho também discute a apropriação de Aristóteles por Dewey e sugere algumas hipóteses sobre esse tema.Palavras-chave: John Dewey. Teoria da Investigação.Abstract: This article analyses the relationship between John Dewey\u27s and Aristotle\u27s philosophies, adopting as reference the book Logic: the theory of inquiry. In this book, published in 1938, Dewey concludes his reflexions about logic theory, specially presented in How we think, a work that shows the relevance of this theme for education. The first part of the article is composed by a brief history of logic, since Aristotle until the early 1950s; the two subsequent parts explain the author\u27s arguments about Aristotelian logic; the fourth presents the theory proposed by Dewey and the last two analyses how Dewey sees Aristotle, considering the interpretative way originated from scholastic and also the contemporary movement that review the Aristotelian ideas. In order to offer contributions to future studies, the article also discusses the appropriation of Aristotle by Dewey and suggests some hypothesis about this theme.Keywords: John Dewey. Aristotle. Inclusive and differential cross-section measurements of tt¯Z production in pp collisions at √s = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector, including EFT and spin-correlation interpretations
No full textMeasurements of both the inclusive and differential production cross sections of a top-quark-top-antiquark pair in association with a Z boson (tt¯Z) are presented. Final states with two, three or four isolated leptons (electrons or muons) are targeted. The measurements use the data recorded by the ATLAS detector in pp collisions at √s = 13 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider during the years 2015–2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb−1. The inclusive cross section is measured to be σtt¯Z = 0.86 ± 0.04 (stat.) ± 0.04 (syst.) pb and found to be in agreement with the most advanced Standard Model predictions. The differential measurements are presented as a function of a number of observables that probe the kinematics of the tt¯Z system. Both the absolute and normalised differential cross-section measurements are performed at particle level and parton level for specific fiducial volumes, and are compared with NLO+NNLL theoretical predictions. The results are interpreted in the framework of Standard Model effective field theory and used to set limits on a large number of dimension-6 operators involving the top quark. The first measurement of spin correlations in tt¯Z events is presented: the results are in agreement with the Standard Model expectations, and the null hypothesis of no spin correlations is disfavoured with a significance of 1.8 standard deviations
The Christian ministry : case studies of preachers of the Churches of Christ in Bicol, Philippines
No full textThis thesis examines the challenges faced by the ministers of religion in Churches of Christ (Restoration Movement) in Bicol, Philippines. The goal is to do theology from below, not from above, as pastoral ministry must come from the experience of those who practice it, not from textbooks. The pastoral perspectives of the dilemmas that the ministers raise are heard, observed, documented, and then reflected upon. To do this, case studies of four preachers are used and the mga problema that they present are explored with them.
As a result, first, I introduce some of those challenges which are perplexing on the ground level and which appear to be under-researched in serious theological circles, especially in an Asian context. Second, I hope that these case studies can be used to stimulate reflection in ministerial and spiritual formation. Third, I document some of the theology and methodology of the Churches of Christ, particularly as practiced in the Philippines.
Chapter 1 explores the dichotomy between the perceived satisfaction in the pastoral ministry with the crisis of role and identity. In particular, issues such as forced exits and stress are presented while baptism and preaching are scrutinized. Chapter 2 centres on the conundrums experienced in planting a new church and being the lone planter. Chapter 3 examines three challenges–the task of ministering in a home congregation, the issue of accreditation in ministerial training, and how the minister can be a success and grow the church. Never far from the thoughts and actions of any of the Bicolano ministers is the problema of poverty, so Chapter 4 considers some of the Filipino, personal, and spiritual complexities of poverty, delineates a number of factors that need to be taken into consideration in any effort to overcome this malady and concludes with a particular reference to ministry
Search for supersymmetry at root 8=8 TeV in final states with jets and two same-sign leptons or three leptons with the ATLAS detector
No full textA search for strongly produced supersymmetric particles is conducted using signatures involving multiple energetic jets and either two isolated leptons (e or μ) with the same electric charge, or at least three isolated leptons. The search also utilises jets originating from b-quarks, missing transverse momentum and other observables to extend its sensitivity. The analysis uses a data sample corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb-1 of √s = 8 TeV proton-proton collisions recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider in 2012. No deviation from the Standard Model expectation is observed. New or significantly improved exclusion limits are set on a wide variety of supersymmetric models in which the lightest squark can be of the first, second or third generations, and in which R-parity can be conserved or violated. The data are found to be in agreement with the Standard Model prediction, and limits are reported in the framework of the Randall-Sundrum model. This theory leads to the prediction of graviton states, the lightest of which could be observed at the Large Hadron Collider. A lower limit of () TeV at 95% confidence level is set on the mass of the lightest graviton for couplings of ()
