Wacana Ulos Ragi Hidup: Bentuk, Makna Simbolis dan Nilai-Nilai Luhur dalam Budaya Batak Toba
Ulos adalah kain khas tradisional yang sangat berharga bagi suku batak yang berasal dari Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. Ulos Ragi Hidup merupakan salah satu jenis kain Ulos khas Batak Toba yang memiliki nilai budaya dan makna simbolis yang mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bentuk, makna simbolis dan nilai-nilai luhur Ulos Ragi Hidup dalam budaya Batak Toba menggunakan pendekatan wacana. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengimplementasikan observasi, wawancara, dan penelusuran literatur sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Informasi yang terhimpun kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan kerangka kerja yang diperkenalkan oleh Van Dijk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ulos ragi hidup dalam tradisi Batak Toba memiliki makna simbolis yang beragam, yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan, kesuburan, keharmonisan, dan nilai-nilai luhur budaya Batak Toba. Dari analisis tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami bentuk, makna simbolis dan nilai-nilai luhur ulos ragi hidup dalam budaya Batak Toba
The Use of Web-Based Portfolio as Alternatife Assesment in Biology Learning
The current state of the Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on various ongoing activities, including learning activities. Currently, the government provides a policy to organize learning from home, known as Learning From Home (BDR). Learning From Home in its implementation requires the support of mobile devices. It is a challenge for both teachers and students to master technology in learning in these conditions. In addition, teachers must also be able to carry out the teaching and learning process or provide assessments/evaluations to students face-to-face (done online). The research objective is to determine the use of alternative assessment-based portfolios in biology learning. The authors want to introduce web-based portfolios as alternative assessments in biology learning in this study. Alternative assessments can support students to understand biology lessons with the task of making lab reports, making herbariums, drawing, writing widespread scientific reports, etc. These are collected in the form of website links. The research method used is a literature study that the author has carried out. The results obtained are using a web-based portfolio as an alternative assessment in biology learning, which is still not widely applied even though this assessment is very efficient to apply in biology learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research concludes that every lesson that has been carried out certainly needs to be assessed on student learning outcomes in following each lesson that has been followed. In this case, an alternative web-based portfolio assessment is one of the solutions to evaluate the performance and work of students so that all activities carried out can be rewarded with value.                Keywords: Biology Alternative Assessment, Web Based Portofolio Â

The Phenomenon of Vaping in Female Students
In its development, vaping is not only in demand by men, but women have also become its users. Some societies still stigmatize women who smoke or vape. Women who vape or smoke are often referred to as unrighteous or naughty women and get ridiculed or cursed. In fact, vaping behavior in women is inseparable from the motives that are their reasons for vaping. The purpose of this study is to find out what the motives of women for vaping are, what effects are obtained after using vaping, and what stigma is obtained. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with primary and secondary data collection techniques. Primary data collection was conducted through an in-depth interview method (a departmental interview) by finding three key informants. The informant requirement is a woman who is a vape perpetrator. secondary data in this study using a review of online literature. The database used is in the form of Google Scholar, where the author combines words relevant to themes such as "Vape and Women," "Motif," and "Stigma." The results of the study concluded that one of the reasons women vape is to think that vaping is something cool. Faster fatigue and shortness of breath are two of the effects they receive after vaping. Women who vape also often receive negative ratings from the surrounding community; they are often said to be bad women
Analisis Efisiensi Usaha Peternakan Sapi Potong Rakyat di Tengah Pandemi Covid 19 di Kabupaten Langkat Sumatera Utara
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui teknis pemeliharaan, pendapatan dan efisiensi usaha peternakan sapi potong di Kabupaten Langkat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Multistage Random Sampling. Responden adalah peternak sapi potong rakyat diambil secara acak sebanyak 80 responden. Metode pengambilan data yaitu metode observasi dan wawancara langsung kepada peternak. Analisis data dilakukan dilakukan secara kuantitatif yaitu analisis pendapatan dan efisiensi dan analisis deskriftif yaitu teknis pemeliharaan sapi potong. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tata laksana pemeliharaan sapi yang dipelihara diberi pakan rumput. Peternak memelihara ternak secara intensif. Peternak melakukan sanitasi dan menjaga kebersihan lingkungan kandang. Sistem perkawinan yang dilakukan secara inseminasi buatan. Jumlah pendapatan peternak sebesar Rp. 7.066.621,8. Usaha peternakan sapi potong sudah efisien dengan tingkat efisiensi usaha rata-rata sebesar 1,7 yang berarti bahwa setiap pengeluaran Rp. 1,00 akan menghasilkan penerimaan sebesar Rp. 1,7
Search for associated production of a Z boson with a single top quark and for tZ flavour-changing interactions in pp collisions at
A search for the production of a single top quark in association with a Z boson is presented, both to identify the expected standard model (SM) process and to search for flavour changing neutral current (FCNC) interactions. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC in proton-proton collisions at . Final states with three leptons, electrons or muons, and at least one jet are investigated. A moderate excess of events compatible with SM tZq production is observed, and the corresponding cross section is measured to be with a significance of . No presence of FCNC production of tZ(q) is observed and exclusion limits at confidence level on the branching ratios of a top quark decaying to a Z boson and an up or a charm quark are found to be and , respectively. \textit{This document has been revised with respect to the version dated August 4, 2016.}$

Study of vector boson scattering and search for new physics in events with two same-sign leptons and two jets

The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.4fb-1 collected with the CMS detector. Candidate events are selected with exactly two leptons of the same charge, two jets with large rapidity separation and high dijet mass, and moderate missing transverse energy. The signal region is expected to be dominated by electroweak same-sign W-boson pair production. The observation agrees with the standard model prediction. The observed significance is 2.0 standard deviations, where a significance of 3.1 standard deviations is expected based on the standard model. Cross section measurements for W±W± and WZ processes in the fiducial region are reported. Bounds on the structure of quartic vector-boson interactions are given in the framework of dimension-eight effective field theory operators, as well as limits on the production of doubly charged Higgs bosons
Search for jet extinction in the inclusive jet-pT spectrum from proton-proton collisions at s=8 TeV

Further distribution of this work must maintain attribution to the author(s) and the published articles title, journal citation, and DOI.The first search at the LHC for the extinction of QCD jet production is presented, using data collected with the CMS detector corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 10.7 fb−1 of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV. The extinction model studied in this analysis is motivated by the search for signatures of strong gravity at the TeV scale (terascale gravity) and assumes the existence of string couplings in the strong-coupling limit. In this limit, the string model predicts the suppression of all high-transverse-momentum standard model processes, including jet production, beyond a certain energy scale. To test this prediction, the measured transverse-momentum spectrum is compared to the theoretical prediction of the standard model. No significant deficit of events is found at high transverse momentum. A 95% confidence level lower limit of 3.3 TeV is set on the extinction mass scale
Search for anomalous production of events with three or more leptons in pp collisions at √s = 8TeV

The data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.5fb-1 of proton-proton collisions with center-of-mass energy s=8TeV, was collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC during 2012. The data are divided into exclusive categories based on the number of leptons and their flavor, the presence or absence of an opposite-sign, same-flavor lepton pair (OSSF), the invariant mass of the OSSF pair, the presence or absence of a tagged bottom-quark jet, the number of identified hadronically decaying τ leptons, and the magnitude of the missing transverse energy and of the scalar sum of jet transverse momenta. The numbers of observed events are found to be consistent with the expected numbers from standard model processes, and limits are placed on new-physics scenarios that yield multilepton final states. In particular, scenarios that predict Higgs boson production in the context of supersymmetric decay chains are examined. We also place a 95% confidence level upper limit of 1.3% on the branching fraction for the decay of a top quark to a charm quark and a Higgs boson (t→cH), which translates to a bound on the left- and right-handed top-charm flavor-violating Higgs Yukawa couplings, λtcH and λctH, respectively, of |λtcH|2+|λctH|2<0.21
