Islam Berkemajuan Perspektif Najib Burhani
This research aims to discuss Progressive Islam from Najib Burhani's perspective. The approach in this research is to use a literature study approach with a qualitative method. The results of his research, namely, Najib Burhani includes concepts and thoughts about how Islam can adapt and develop along with changing times. In this perspective, Najib Burhani outlined several main principles that teach Islamic teachings with social, economic and technological progress. He invited Muslims not only to view Islam as a rigid doctrine but also as a dynamic system that is able to provide solutions to various current problems. In this work, Najib Burhani emphasizes the importance of education, intelligence and innovation in creating a progressive Muslim society. He also reviewed the role of religious institutions in ensuring proper understanding of Islamic teachings in a modern context. Thus, it is hoped that "Progressing Islam" can become a guide for Muslims to integrate Islamic values with worldly progress without sacrificing their original teachings and principles
EPISTEMOLOGI ISLAM (BAYANI, BURHANI, IRFANI)
Epistemologi merupakan bentukan dari dua kata dalam bahasa Yunani, yaitu Episteme yang berarti pengetahuan dan Logos yang juga berarti pengetahuan atau informasiPada prinsipnya, Islam telah memiliki epistemologi yang komprehensif sebagai kunci untuk mendapatkan ilmu pengetahuan. Hanya saja dari tiga kecenderungan epistemologis yang ada (bayani, irfani dan burhani), dalam perkembangannya lebih didominasi oleh corak berpikir bayani yang sangat tekstual dan corak berpikir irfani (kasyf) yang sangat sufistik. Internalisasi Konsep Burhani dalam Pembelajaran: Strategi peningkatan Nalar Kritis Siswa
Current education shows that students' critical thinking skills are often underdeveloped due to learning approaches that focus more on knowledge transfer than exploration and problem solving. Burhani epistemology, which emphasises rational and analytical thinking, offers an alternative approach that can improve students'ccritical thinking skills. This study aims to examine how the internalisation of burhani epistemology in learning can improve students' critical thinking skills. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the method of documentation study and literature analysis. The research was conducted by analysing literature review and document analysis of teaching materials. Qualitative data was analysed using thematic analysis techniques. The results showed that the internalisation of burhani epistemology in learning improves students' critical thinking skills. Through the implementation of the burhani concept will have a positive impact on the development of students' reasoning power, learning that involves rational and examination of a problem, the function of reason will automatically be wide open. Through the concept of burhani reasoning, thinking and study are carried out comprehensively on the verses of the Qur'an, of course it can minimise the occurrence of blind taklid to religious teachings, for that learning through the burhani concept will give students more freedom in making discoveries and giving birth to new theories in learning activities. The results of the study confirm that the internalisation of burhani epistemology in learning can have a positive impact on the development of students' critical thinking skills. Recommendations for wider application of this concept as well as training for teachers in the burhani method are suggested to improve the quality of education and maximise students' intellectual potential
PENDEKATAN BURHANI DALAM STUDI AL-QUR’AN
Artikel ini fokus pada pendekatan burhani dalam penafsiran al-Qur’an yang ada dalam tradisi Islam. Kajian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka. Berdasarkan tradisi Islam, sebagian sarjana Muslim menggunakan epistemologi yang bervariasi dalam penafsiran al-Qur’an, seperti bayani, ‘irfani, dan burhani yang turut memengaruhi hasil kajian intelektual mereka. Sebagian filosof Muslim menggunakan burhani dalam penafsiran al-Qur’an, sebagian teolog Muslim menggunakan kombinasi burhani dan bayani dalam penafsiran al-Qur’an, dan sebagian sufi menggunakan kombinasi burhani and ‘irfani dalam penafsiran al-Qur’an, sehingga penafsiran mereka tidak sama. Latar belakang intelektual dan ideologi mereka seakan memaksa mereka menggunakan pendekatan yang bervariasi dalam penafsiran al-Qur’an. Oleh karena itu, variasi-variasi pendekatan dalam penafsiran al-Qur’an ini membuat umat jauh dari ajaran al-Qur’an yang sebenarnya, dan penafsiran al-Qur’an nampak sangat relatif
BAYANI, BURHANI, AND IRFANI REASONING IN ISLAMIC STUDIES
This paper aims to understand the reasoning of Bayani, Burhani, and Irfani through a descriptive qualitative approach, namely by collecting various kinds of literature related to Bayani, Burhani, and Irfani. Bayani is a methodology of thinking based on texts, this method existed before Islam came, Irfani is a method of thinking based on approaches and direct experience related to religious spiritual reality.
The method used in this research is literature study, which tries to reveal by analyzing textually and contextually. Textual analysis is carried out using several interpretations and relevant journals, while contextual analysis is the author\u27s understanding so as to form a complete understanding.
The results of the discussion can be described as follows: Bayani is a thinking methodology based on the texts, this method existed before Islam came. It is the sacred text that has full authority in giving the direction and meaning of the truth, while the ratio only functions as a guard for the security of the text’s authority. Irfani is a method of thinking that is based on a direct approach and experience related to religious spiritual reality. And Burhani is a thinking methodology that is not based on texts or experience but on the basis of logical truths that when the existence of sacred texts and spiritual experiences can only be accepted if they are in accordance with logical rule
Nalar Burhani Dalam Tafsir Al-Tanwir
This study is a descriptive qualitative literature research. This study was motivated by religious understanding according to Muhammadiyah contained in the Matan beliefs and ideals of life Muhammadiyah third paragraph that understand religion by using common sense in accordance with the soul of the teachings of Islam which can be known as reason burhani Muhammadiyah. Muhammadiyah Tarjih Council at the National Assembly in 2000 in Malang using the approach of bayani, burhani and irfani. The three approaches were later affirmed as an Islamic way of thinking in the Islamic Life guidelines of Muhammadiyah citizens set at the 44th Congress in Jakarta. Muhammadiyah in its development gave birth to the book of tafsir entitled Tafsir al-Tanwir, which of course in its interpretation using the approach of bayani, burhani and irfani. So, how the application of reason burhani in Tafsir al-Tanwir. Burhani's own reasoning in Muhammadiyah uses ratios, arguments, scientific research, science and empirical experience to understand religion and relate it to new issues that have not been explained in the Qur'an and Sunnah. So as to produce the conclusion of the application of reason burhani Muhammadiyah in Tafsir al-Tanwir volumes one and two there are five ways of approach in interpreting the Qur'an, namely, rational or logical reason, argument or ra'yu, science, scientific research and empirical experience. On Q.S. Al-Baqarah verse 30 which has the theme of Anthropology uses four approaches from the five approaches, namely rational reason, science, scientific research and argument without empirical experience in its interpretation. Then Q.S. Al-Baqarah verse 220, 262, 263, 271, 280 which is themed sociology uses three ways of approach from the five ways of approach, namely rational reason, argument, and empirical experience without scientific research and science in its interpretation
Epistimologi Burhani Al-Ghazali dan Ibnu Rusyd: Studi komparasi
This research focuses on analyzing the thoughts of Al-Ghazali, who comes from the East and Ibn Rushd, who comes from the West, regarding logic (Burhani), which has differences between the two figures regarding their Burhani
epistemology. According to Al-Ghazali's view, this revelation has definite credibility. compared to reason, because revelation comes from God, here Ibn Rushd is of the view that revelation and reason complement each other, because without rational reason revelation cannot be understood. The aim of this research is to provide scientific answers about the thoughts of these two figures in terms of Islamic philosophy, as well as providing reflective reading for the general public. The method used in this research is (Library Research). The results of this research produce four paradigm models, 1) regarding the elaboration of Burhani epistemology regarding sources (reason ratio), methods (abstraction, bahtsyyah,
tahliliyah, and naqdiyyah) and verification (exploration, verification, and explanation), 2) Burhani thinking according to Al-Ghazali's views are good regarding sources (reality of reason), methods (five senses and ratios), verification (analogy of ratios) and the position of revelation, 3) burhani thoughts according to Ibn Rushd are good regarding sources (rational reason), methods (syllogisms), verification (the superiority of the premise and suitability to the final goal) and the position of revelation, 4) and will be presented regarding the epistemology of the two figures, both similarities and differences relating to the realm of spiritual
epistemology, as well as the position of reason in the perspective of the two figures. The weakness of this research is that it has not explained in a coherent manner the burhani epistemology of the two figures, and whether the examples and methodological heritage between the two figures are still relevant for use today
Application of Burhani Reasoning by Abid Al-Jabiri in Developing MI Curriculum
This research examines the implementation of the concept of Burhani reasoning by Abid al-Jabiri in the curriculum development of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) School. Through a qualitative approach and case study method, this research explores how Burhani reasoning has been successfully applied by teachers, principals, and students in MI. Data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and curriculum documentation study. The research results show that Burhani reasoning has been successfully applied in the MI curriculum and the integration of teaching methods based on Burhani reasoning with traditional methods has been successful. This has an impact on increasing students\u27 critical and logical thinking abilities. This study suggests the importance of continuous training for teachers in applying Burhani reasoning in teaching and suggests further research to see the long-term impact of the implementation of Burhani reasoning on student learning outcomes. Epistemology of Islamic Education Al-Jabiri Perspective of the Conservative-Modernist-Neo Modernist Flow and Burhani-Bayani-Irfani
This research is a qualitative study using a library approach, the object is the epistemology of Islamic education, conservative-modernist-neo-modernist and burhani-bayani-irfani. The data collection method in this research uses literature study. In this stage, the researcher tries to select data (books) in the epistemology of Islamic education, conservative-modernist-neo-modernist and burhani-bayani-irfani. In this writing, the analysis used with hermeneutics, namely the author explains that behind the text there is context meaning or behind the explicit meaning there is an explicit meaning if interpreted literally can be interpreted as an interpretation or interpretation of the epistemology of Islamic education, conservative-modernist-neo-modernist and burhani-bayani- irfani. The author also uses content analysis, namely research conducted on information documented in recordings, both images, sounds, writing and others. With this method, data analysis and scientific processing will be carried out on the epistemological content of Islamic education, the conservative-modernist-neo-modernist and burhani-bayani-irfani schools. The results showed that science continues to develop throughout the history of thought such as rational flow of viewing educational activities as actualizing the potentials of individuals so that according to this flow the essence of education is the transformation of various potential potentials into actual abilities. The success of the transformation of the various potentials that exist in this rational flow, is largely determined by how much the optimization of the functions of sense powers and ratios. Baby epistemology is an epistemology that emphasizes the authority of the text as an indicator of truth. Reason in this epistemology is only as a support text and does not have a good space or in other words lower when compared to the text. In object Bayani tradition can be seen in fiqh. Second, Burhani epistemology is knowledge gained from demonstrative analogies which in this case gives the role of reason and senses in human beings. TAFSIR BURHANI AYAT EKONOMI: Rekontruksi Penafsiran terhadap Sumber Ekonomi Islam
The reconstruction of thought in Islamic economics will provide significant space to absorb all existing entities, both from Islam and conventional economics. The reconstruction method that can be offered is a burhani interpretation of Muhammad Abid al-Jabiri’s concept of thought. So far, the interpretation of al-Qur’an is still dominated by the concept of bayani which still places texts as something sacred, thus losing a harmonious relationship with the context. The emphasis of research on the burhani method is a reconstruction of the bayani method which only emphasizes on istibanthiyah. The convergence between the two methods, between bayani and burhani will give to a living interpretation of al-Qur’an. So, the Qur'an is not only a reading that adorns Islam but is also a way of life or known as hudan according to the function of the descent of the Qur'an, including in economic context.[Rekontruksi pemikiran dalam ekonomi islam akan memberikan ruang yang signifikan untuk menyerap semua entitas yang ada, baik dari Islam maupun ekonomi konvensional..
