K. Andermanis ne tikai ir sniedzis ieguldījumu Latvijas etnogrāfijas pētniecībā, bet arī LU simbolu izgatavošanā, kas mūsdienās saglabā savu unikalitāti un vērtību. Meta autora piederība pie LU saimes sakņojusies jau viņa ģimenē, jo viņa tēvs ir absolvējis Rīgas Politehnisko institūtu, LU priekšteci starpkaru periodā, un strādājis LU Saimniecības padomē par inspektoru.The article is a continuation of the September 2024 Museum Object on the Academic Badge of the University of Latvia (UL), which focuses on the author of the UL Academic Badge design, the student of the Faculty of Architecture and local historian, the Baltic German Ksavers Andermanis. K. Andermanis has not only contributed to the research of Latvian ethnography, but also to the production of symbols of the UL, which today retain their uniqueness and value. The author's belonging to the UL family is rooted in his family, as his father graduated from the Riga Polytechnic Institute, the predecessor of UL during the interwar period, and worked as an inspector at the UL Economical council

    Abstract Using e + e − annihilation data sets corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.5 fb −1, collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.699 GeV, we report the first measurements of the absolute branching fractions B Λ c + → p K L 0 B(Λc+pKL0) \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_L^0\right) = (1.67 ± 0.06 ± 0.04)%, B Λ c + → p K L 0 π + π − B(Λc+pKL0π+π) \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_L^0{\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\right) = (1.69 ± 0.10 ± 0.05)%, and B Λ c + → p K L 0 π 0 B(Λc+pKL0π0) \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_L^0{\pi}^0\right) = (2.02 ± 0.13 ± 0.05)%, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. Combining with the known branching fractions of Λ c + → p K S 0 Λc+pKS0 {\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_S^0 , Λ c + → p K S 0 π + π − Λc+pKS0π+π {\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_S^0{\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-} , and Λ c + → p K S 0 π 0 Λc+pKS0π0 {\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_S^0{\pi}^0 , we present the first measurements of the K S 0 KS0 {K}_S^0 - K L 0 KL0 {K}_L^0 asymmetries R Λ c + K S , L 0 X = B Λ c + → K S 0 X − B Λ c + → K L 0 X B Λ c + → K S 0 X + B Λ c + → K L 0 X R(Λc+,KS,L0X)=B(Λc+KS0X)B(Λc+KL0X)B(Λc+KS0X)+B(Λc+KL0X) R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},{K}_{S,L}^0X\right)=\frac{\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_S^0X\right)-\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_L^0X\right)}{\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_S^0X\right)+\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_L^0X\right)} in charmed baryon decays: R Λ c + p K S , L 0 = − 0.025 ± 0.031 R(Λc+,pKS,L0)=0.025±0.031 R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},p{K}_{S,L}^0\right)=-0.025\pm 0.031 , R Λ c + p K S , L 0 π + π − = − 0.027 ± 0.048 R(Λc+,pKS,L0π+π)=0.027±0.048 R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},p{K}_{S,L}^0{\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\right)=-0.027\pm 0.048 and R Λ c + p K S , L 0 π 0 = − 0.015 ± 0.046 R(Λc+,pKS,L0π0)=0.015±0.046 R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},p{K}_{S,L}^0{\pi}^0\right)=-0.015\pm 0.046 . No significant asymmetries with statistical significance are observed

    Branching fraction and CP asymmetry of the decays B+→K0Sπ+ and B+→K0SK+

    An analysis of B+ → K0 Sπ+ and B+ → K0 S K+ decays is performed with the LHCb experiment. The pp collision data used correspond to integrated luminosities of 1 fb−1 and 2 fb−1 collected at centre-ofmass energies of √ s = 7 TeV and √ s = 8 TeV, respectively. The ratio of branching fractions and the direct CP asymmetries are measured to be B(B+ → K0 S K+ )/B(B+ → K0 Sπ+ ) = 0.064 ± 0.009 (stat.) ± 0.004 (syst.), ACP(B+ → K0 Sπ+ ) = −0.022 ± 0.025 (stat.) ± 0.010 (syst.) and ACP(B+ → K0 S K+ ) = −0.21 ± 0.14 (stat.) ± 0.01 (syst.). The data sample taken at √ s = 7 TeV is used to search for B+ c → K0 S K+ decays and results in the upper limit ( fc · B(B+ c → K0 S K+ ))/( fu · B(B+ → K0 Sπ+ )) < 5.8 × 10−2 at 90% confidence level, where fc and fu denote the hadronisation fractions of a ¯b quark into a B+ c or a B+ meson, respectively

    Measurement of the ratio of branching fractions B(B0→K∗0γ )/B(B0s→φγ ) and the directCP asymmetry inB 0→K∗0γ

    The ratio of branching fractions of the radiative B decays B0→K⁎0γ and B0s→ϕγ has been measured using an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb−1 of pp collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of s√=7TeV. The value obtained is B(B0→K⁎0γ)B(B0s→ϕγ)=1.23±0.06(stat.)±0.04(syst.)±0.10(fs/fd), where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty and the third is associated with the ratio of fragmentation fractions fs/fd. Using the world average value for B(B0→K⁎0γ), the branching fraction B(B0s→ϕγ) is measured to be (3.5±0.4)×10−5. The direct CP asymmetry in B0→K⁎0γ decays has also been measured with the same data and found to be ACP(B0→K⁎0γ)=(0.8±1.7(stat.)±0.9(syst.))%. Both measurements are the most precise to date and are in agreement with the previous experimental results and theoretical expectations

    Connections between high-K and low-K states in the s-process nucleus Lu-176

    Gamma-ray branches that connect high-K states to low-K states in the s-process nucleus Lu-176 were observed, thus providing a link between the 58 Gyr, 7(-) ground state and the 5.3 h, 1(-) isomeric state. High sensitivity and unambiguous placement were achieved through the study of the decay of the 58 mu s K-pi = 14(+) isomer using gamma-gamma-coincidence measurements. The large number of decay paths from the isomer provides a means of populating a broad selection of states from above, resulting, paradoxically, in higher sensitivity than in cases where low-spin input reactions are used. Bu amaçla, in vivo kümülatif doz-etki ili kisini kulland k ve bu verileri istatistiksel parametreler ile ili kilendirdik. Sitolojik analizler, ? radyasyonuna maruz kalan hastalar n beyaz kan hücrelerinde (WBC) gerçekle tirildi. MN testi, radyasyon hasar n n bir belirteci olarak kullan ld . Ayr ca, sigara al kanl ve ya gibi farkl faktörlerin etkileride MN testi kullan larak ara t r ld . MN say m , tek nükleuslu lenfositlerde gerçekle tirildi. WBC'nin say s ve morfolojik özelliklerini belirlemek amac yla periferal kan yayma preparatlar haz rland . Sonuçlar, ? radyasyonuna maruz kalan kanser hastalar n n WBC'deki MN s kl ve morfolojik hasarlar n, kontrol grubundakilerden oldukça yüksek oldu unu gösterdi ve fark istatistiksel olarak önemliydi (P0.01). WBC'de voküolizasyon, membran kusurlar ve sitoplazmik granülasyonda art gibi morfolojik de i meler belirlendi. Ayr ca, radyasyon dozuna ba l olarak MN s kl nda bir art ve WBC'nin say s nda ise bir azalma gözlendi. Sonuç olarak, morfolojik hasarlar ve MN s kl n n, RT 'nin etkilerini ara t rmak için çok hassas ve kullan l biyolojik belirteçler oldu u gösterildi.In this study, we tried to define the frequency of micronuclei (MN) and morphological damages in peripheral blood samples of cancer patients exposed to radiotherapy (RT) for lung tumors. For this purpose, we used in vivo cumulative dose-effect relationship, and correlated these data with statistical parameters. Cytological analyses were performed on white blood cells (WBC) of patients exposed to ? radiation. MN assay was used as a biomarker of radiation damage. Besides, the effect of different factors like smoking status and age was investigated by MN assay. Scoring of MN was performed on mononucleated lymphocytes. Peripheral blood smears were prepared for morphological characterization and the number of WBC. The results indicated that, morphological damages and MN frequency in WBC were significantly higher in cancer patients exposed to ? radiation than in the controls, and difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). The morphological changes such as vacuolization, membrane defects and increase in cytoplasmic granulation were detected in WBC. Moreover, an increase in the frequency of MN and a decrease in the numbers of WBC were observed depending on radiation dose. In conclusion, it was showed that morphological damages and MN frequency are very sensitive and useful biomarkers for the investigation of the effects of RT

    LU Factorizations for &#8469; &times; &#8469;-Matrices and Solutions of the k[S]-Hierarchy and Its Strict Version

    Let S be the N&times;N-matrix of the shift operator and let k denote the field of real or complex numbers. We consider two different deformations of the commutative algebra k[S], together with the evolution equations of the deformations of the powers {Si,i&#10878;1}. They are called the k[S]-hierarchy and the strict k[S]-hierarchy. For suitable Banach spaces B, we explain how LU factorizations in GL(B) can be used to produce dressing matrices of both hierarchies. These dressing matrices correspond to bounded operators on B, a class far more general than the one used at a prior construction. This wider class of solutions of both hierarchies makes it possible to treat reductions of both systems. The matrix coefficients of these matrices are shown to be quotients of analytic functions. Moreover, we present a subgroup Gcpt(B) of GL(B) such that the procedure with LU factorizations works for each g&isin;Gcpt(B)
