    Why (and how) to regulate Power Exchanges in the EU market integration context?

    Power Exchanges (PXs) are key market institutions in open and market-based electricity industries. This paper aims at contributing to the ongoing debate on why and how to regulate Power Exchanges in the EU market integration context. . The paper starts by stating that two different types of PXs have to be distinguished, i.e. "Merchant" PXs and the "Cost of Service Regulated" PXs. The paper continues by comparing the typical incentives of these two types of PXs to perform the basic PX tasks in an isolated national market and in a market integration context. The paper concludes by deriving from this analytical frame the most relevant regulatory actions..Regulation, Exchanges, Grid access, Power Markets.

    IMPLEMENTATION OF THE JEAN MEEUS ALGORITHM IN CALCULATING NEW MOON AND FULL MOON DATA

    This research aims to determine the application of Jean Meeus' algorithm in calculating new moon and full moon data. This is a qualitative study using a library approach. The primary source is the book "Astronomical Algorithm" by Jean Meeus, while secondary sources include books, journals, websites, and other information. The research results show that calculating new moon and full moon data using Jean Meeus' algorithm involves several calculation stages: lunation value (k), time in the Julian epoch 2000 (T), M (mean solar anomaly), M' (mean lunar anomaly), F (lunar latitude), and Ω (longitude of the ascending node) in degrees (0⁰ - 360⁰). Then, 14 arguments (components) affecting the planets are calculated in degrees. Next, the average time for moon phases is calculated, considering the influence of lunar and solar ablation and the moon’s light travel time to the observer’s position. Additional correction to the JDE (Julian Day Ephemeris) is required to determine the true phases. Jean Meeus' algorithm is used in the taḥqīqī essential calculation method due to its highly accurate astronomical data corrections for the movements of the Moon and Sun and is part of the heliocentric flow

    The identity statuses: Strengths of a person-centered approach

    This chapter discusses how a better understanding of identity formation can be achieved by integrating person- and variable-centered approaches, particularly how the person-centered approach might be more suitable for capturing identity development. To support this thesis, exemplars are drawn from the identity literature rooted in Erikson’s psychosocial theory, in Marcia’s identity status paradigm, and in its recent extensions . In the person-centered approach, the starting point is groups of people, defined by the fact that individuals share similar characteristics with members of their group and differ from members of other groups. Thus, the first step for adopting a person-centered approach is the classification of respondents into groups, each of which corresponds to one identity status. The chapter discusses shortcomings and strengths of various methods used to classify individuals into identity statuses and also highlights future lines of research

    Mobilizing Cities towards a Low Carbon Future: Tambourines, Carrots and Sticks

    In the transition towards a decarbonized energy system, we need city authorities to lead by example as public actors, to govern the actions of the private urban actors as local policy makers, and to conceive and manage the implementation of an integrated approach as coordinators, which we introduce in this paper as three levels of city smartness. Local governments however have institutional disincentives to act, and if they do act, they are confronted with urban actors that are reluctant to follow. This paper analyzes how city pioneers in Europe have been able to overcome these disincentives thanks to a combination of local circumstances and interventions by higher levels of government. We categorize the state of the art instruments that have been used by higher levels of government into “tambourines”, “carrots”, and “sticks”, and reflect on how the state of the art could be improved.cities; climate change; governance

    Data primer yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi “A Manual Of Spherical And Practical Astronomy” karya William Chauvenet, “Rumusan Syari dan Astronomi” karya Abu Sabda, “Astronomical Algoritms” karya Jean Meeus serta software pemrograman Microsoft Excel . Teknik pengumpulan menggunakan metode dokumentasi, dengan data yang dikumpulkan berupa algoritma-algoritma perhitungan gerhana bulan dengan algoritma Jean Meeus dan komponen yang diperlukan untuk melakukan pemrograman. Metode Analisa data dibagi menjadi tiga tahap yakni; 1) tahapan pengumpulan data yakni berupa konsep perhitungan gerhana bulan dengan algoritma Jean Meeus dan konsep pemrograman Microsoft Excel, 2) Tahap pemrograman gerhana bulan, 3) tahap uji evaluasi dan verifikasi program katalog gerhana bulan metode bessel algoritma Jean Meeus.Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini, bahwa pemrograman katalog gerhana bulan metode bessel algoritma Jean Meeus dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan sebagai berikut : 1) Pengumpulan data, 2) Analisis kebutuhan program, 3) Perancangan tampilan program, 4) Penulisan bahasa program (coding ), 5) Uji coba program. Setelah dilakukan uji evaluasi penulis mendapatkan hasil, program katalog gerhana bulan menggunakan macro VBA pada Excel, maka untuk menjalankan program diperlukan Microsoft Excel yang sudah mengaktifkan fitur macro VBA. Hasil Uji verifikasi program katalog gerhana bulan memberikan kesimpulan bahwa hasil perhitungan program sama dengan hasil perhitungan manual, serta hasil perhitungan program katalog gerhana bulan metode bessel algoritma Jean Meeus memiliki rata-rata selisih yang bervariasi dengan hasil perhitungan NASA antara rentang tahun 610 M sampai 3000 M.Perkembangan zaman yang cukup modern ini yang serba terkomputerisasi. Agar eksistensi ilmu falak tetap eksis di kalangan masyarakat modern. Maka diharapkan program ini dapat bermanfaat dan di perbarui dalam bentuk versi selanjutnya.     Hisab gerhana bulan dilakukan untuk mengetahui kapan terjadinya gerhana bulan dengan maksud melaksanakan ibadah sunnah bagi umat islam yaitu salat gerhana. Hisab gerhana bulan dalam kajian ilmu falak diklasifikasikan dalam beberapa metode, banyak algoritma yang digunakan dalam menghitung hisab gerhana bulan, diantaranya kitab Al-Durr Al-Anīq dan Astronomical Algorithm Jean Meeus. Kitab Al-Durr Al-Anīq yang menggunakan pengantar bahasa arab yang biasanya digunakan di pesantren sedangkan Astronomical Algorithm Jean Meeus yang sudah banyak pakar astronomi mengutip dan menggunakannya, keduanya sama-sama memiliki tingkat keakurasian yang tinggi. Hal ini membuat rasa keingintahuan untuk menganalisis hasil komparasi hisab gerhana bulan antara kitab Al-Durr Al-Anīq dengan Astronomical Algorithm Jean Meeus. Dari latar belakang yang telah dijelaskan, skripsi ini mengambil dua rumusan masalah. Pertama, bagaimana hisab gerhana bulan yang diterapkan kitab Al-Durr Al-Anīq dan Astronomical Algorithm Jean Meeus. Kedua, bagaimana komparasi hisab gerhana bulan dalam kitab Al-Durr Al-Anīq dan Astronomical Algorithm Jean Meeus. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, yang menggunakan kajian penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan mengumpulkan data-data, selanjutnya data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan analisis komparatif melalui teknik diskriptif. Dalam menganalisis hasil penulis menggunakan Eclipse Predictions oleh NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) sebagai parameter. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan bahwa dalam algoritma hisab gerhana bulan di kitab Al-Durr Al-Anīq dan Astronomical Algorithm Jean meeus ada perbedaan yaitu dalam pengambilan data yang digunakan dan proses perhitungannya. Kemudian kitab Al-Durr Al-Anīq dan Astronomical Algorithm Jean Meeus sama-sama menghasilkan hasil akurasi yang baik, hal ini dibuktikan dengan parameter hasil perhitungan NASA hasilnya mendekati dengan hasil NASA. Hasil komparasi dari hisab gerhana bulan antara kitab Al-Durr Al-Anīq dan Astronomical Algorithm Jean Meeus hanya berkisar pada menit sampai detik

    Abstract In the lunar calendar there are three white days, namely on days where the moon looks bright at night on the 13th, 14th and 15th (full moon), however, to distinguish the 14th and 15th by means of a rukyat in a month is very difficult because in the month full moon reflected moonlight is just as bright so contemporary reckoning is needed. The type of research used is library research with an astronomical and syar'i research approach. equipped with primary data and secondary data. Processing and analysis of data through the process of editing data, transforming data and presenting data. The research results obtained by calculating the full moon with the Jean Meeus algorithm for the month of Ramadan 1444 H, first converting the UT time to JD which is then converted to JDE. Find T to find M, M', F, and Ω. The difference in the calculation results from the Meeus and ephemeris algorithms is very large, around 19h 11m 19d. Meeus uses the long formula while ephemeris uses the RI Ministry of Religion's moon-solar data. Keywords: Algorithm, Ephemeris, Lunar Calendar  Abstrak Dalam penanggalan kamariah terdapat tiga hari-hari putih yaitu pada hari-hari yang malamnya bulan terlihat terang tertanggal 13, 14, dan 15 (bulan purnama), namun, untuk membedakan tanggal 14 dan 15 dengan cara rukyat pada suatu bulan sangat sulit karena pada bulan purnama cahaya bulan yang terpantul sama terangnya sehingga dibutuhkan perhitungan hisab kontemporer. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan library research dengan pendekatan penelitian secara astronomi dan syar’i. dilengkapi data primer dan data sekunder. Pengolahan dan analisis data melalui proses pengeditan data, transformasi data dan penyajian data. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh perhitungan full moon dengan algoritma Jean Meeus untuk bulan Ramadhan 1444 H, mengkonversi terlebih dahulu waktu UT  menjadi JD yang selanjutnya diubah menjadi JDE. Mencari T untuk mengetahui M, M’, F, dan Ω. Perbedaan hasil perhitungan dari algoritma Meeus dan ephemeris sangat besar berkisar 19j 11m 19d. Meeus menggunakan rumus panjang sedangkan ephemeris menggunakan data bulan-matahari Kemenag RI. Kata Kunci: Algoritma, Ephemeris, Penanggalan Kamaria
