Dataset on 'Cascading effects of critical infrastructure service failure: case of Medellin city, Colombia'
No full textThe urban poor, especially those living in peri-urban areas and informal settlements, are particularly exposed to the risk of cascading effects from potential hazards. This study uses a systems thinking approach to validate the hypothesis if CI services are more susceptible to failure and likely to generate severe cascading effects in informal settlements than in formal settlements. Qualitative data on cascading effects of CI failure were collected via interviews and focus group discussions in two hillside settlements, one formal and one informal, in Medellin, Colombia
Dataset of study: Looking through different lenses at meeting places in disadvantaged Dutch neighbourhoods
No full textThis study explored how neighbourhood meeting places in four disadvantaged Dutch areas can better meet the needs of two underrepresented groups: women with a non-Western migration background and teenage girls (12–18 years old). Using a participatory action research approach, data were collected through a literature review, neighbourhood scans, focus groups, PhotoVoice, interviews, and validation sessions. In total, 97 participants contributed: 29 neighbourhood professionals, 44 women, and 24 girls. Guided by the Movement Friendly Environment model, the analysis showed that both physical and social conditions influence the accessibility and appeal of meeting places. Key conditions included proximity, safety, cleanliness, seating, greenery, and gender-sensitive design. Preferred activities involved cooking, language learning, informal gatherings, and sports, ideally in familiar, culturally sensitive, and child-friendly settings. Barriers included unclear communication, language difficulties, lack of childcare, and feelings of exclusion. Trust, ownership, and emotional safety were essential for engagement. The findings highlight the value of integrated, participatory approaches in designing inclusive public spaces

De Startmonitor is in 2008 door ResearchNed ontwikkeld met als doel om structureel zicht te krijgen op het voorlichtinggebruik en studiekeuzeproces van nieuwe studenten in het hoger onderwijs en om in kaart te brengen hoe studenten ‘landen’ in hun opleiding en of hun eerste jaar naar tevredenheid verloopt. De Startmonitor beoogt om in dat proces van studiekeuze, start en integratie van studenten de determinanten op te sporen van studiesucces en studieuitval in het eerste studiejaar. De Startmonitor wordt jaarlijks uitgevoerd sinds studiejaar 2008-2009. Met ingang van studiejaar 2018-2019 is de Startmonitor een onderzoek van het ministerie van OCW en omvat het onderzoek jaarlijks twee enquêtes, namelijk in september en in juni. De 2e meting uit Startmonitor 2024-2025 wordt later toegevoegd
Drugs Monologen groepsinterview De cannabisgeschiedenis van Amsterdam
No full textDrugs Monologen was een digital storytelling en oral history project van de Open Universiteit (Faculteit Cultuurwetenschappen) en het Poppi Drugs Museum dat liep van oktober 2023 tot oktober 2025. Het project draaide om het bestuderen van de Nederlandse drugsgeschiedenis vanuit het perspectief van mensen die zelf drugs gebruikten in de periode ca. 1960-2000. In dit kader vonden 28 oral history interviews en 5 thematische groepsinterviews plaats. Daarnaast werd een speciale app ontwikkeld waarmee deelnemers op de Drugs Monologen website hun eigen historische ‘monoloog’ konden vertellen en bijdragen aan het onderzoek. Deze laatste methode leverde 51 monologen op. De oral history interviews, groepsinterviews en monologen waarvoor van de verteller toestemming werd verkregen voor gebruik voor toekomstig onderzoek zijn hier bewaard. Bij alle Nederlandstalige items is een transcriptie toegevoegd. Dit item maakt deel uit van deze datacollectie. Vanwege de privacygevoelige aard van de data kunnen deze alleen worden geraadpleegd na via de daartoe bestemde knop toestemming te hebben aangevraagd en verkregen voor toegang tot deze dataset

GUIDE child study 2023 Finland
No full textGUIDE (Growing Up In Digital Europe: EuroCohort) will be Europe’s first comparative birth cohort survey. This Research Infrastructure that will be an important source of high quality longitudinal statistical evidence to support the development of social policies which will enhance the wellbeing of children, young people and their families across Europe for many years to come. GUIDE will be an accelerated cohort survey including a sample of new born infants as well as a sample of school age children. Both cohorts will be surveyed at regular intervals using a common questionnaire and data collection methodology until the age of 24 years.
The survey consists of two questionnaires. One for the child itself and one for the parent of the child. This dataset contains the answers of the children in the country Finland

Interprofessional collaboration regarding prenatal home-visits
No full textNot all infants have an optimal start in live, for example because their parents live under challenging circumstances. A prenatal home-visit could signal these problems and provide opportunities to improve these circumstances or diminish their impact. With the intention to improve the circumstances in which an infant is born.
For this prenatal home-visit, multiple professionals and organizations have to collaborate with each other and the family. This action-research investigated the benefits and barriers, as well as the needs of professionals and families regarding this home-visit. We collected data based on literature, interviews with families and professionals, questionnaires, and observations. Furthermore, a team was put together with individuals from the medical (birth-related) field, the social domain and families. This team met several times during the study to brainstorm about possible improvements, to experiment with these suggestions and to evaluate their effect. In this manner, the collaboration between multiple professionals and families regarding the prenatal home-visit was improved in an ongoing process

No full textDe dataset bestaat uit data uit een proces- en effectevaluatie die we hebben uitgevoerd in het kader van een 4-jarig project uitgevoerd door ZINZIZ met financiering van ZonMw in het kader van het programma ‘Verbeteren kwaliteit Poortwachtersproces’. In dat project hebben ZINZIZ, SBCM en Muzus, samen met 4 sociaal werkbedrijven (Amfors, AM match, Tiem en UW), een nieuwe aanpak voor verzuimbegeleiding ontwikkeld gebaseerd op het integratief gedragsmodel. Aanvullend op het ontwikkelen van deze methode, is deze binnen de sociaal werkbedrijven geïmplementeerd en gemonitord met een proces- en effectevaluatie. Hiermee is inzicht verkregen in de uitkomsten van de methode, de werkzame elementen en de praktische toepasbaarheid
