STRATEGI GERAKAN PENERAPAN SYARIAT ISLAM FRONT PEMBELA ISLAM DI MOJOKERTO
This study aims to analyze the movement for the application of Islamic law by the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) in Mojokerto. Mojokerto is a city with strong NU tradition roots as NU Mojokerto is one of the largest Islamic organizations in this city. So far, NU Mojokerto has never carried out acts of violence in the name of religion. However, the strong tradition of NU does not guarantee the development of radical issues in Mojokerto. This study tries to analyze the strategy of mass networking as well as its efforts in implementing Islamic law in Mojokerto. This research is a field study that uses political opportunity theory to analyze the movement. Based on the research, the author found that there were two strategies undertaken by FPI to implement Islamic law in Mojokerto. First, FPI uses democracy to support candidate leaders who are on the same mission as them. In addition, FPI also encourages society to choose a leader who supports the implementation of Islamic law. Secondly, FPI takes an action in doing the raid in particular places around the city. The political opportunities that have opened since the reformation era have made it easier for FPI to mobilize the masses, FPI has the freedom to express its opinion in various actions
The Strategy of the Nahdlatul Ulama in Maintaining Position and Legitimacy at the Indonesian Islamic Arena
This article aims to analyze NU strategy in maintaining the arena of moderate Islam in Indonesia. this strategy was used by NU to anticipate the radical movement intending to seize the Indonesian Islamic arena. This is because NU has legitimacy as a moderate organization in Indonesia. This study uses observational studies by looking at the historicity of NU as a religious organization and its role in the Indonesian Islamic arena. This study uses the theory of genetic structuralism which includes habitus, arena, capital, trajectory, and strategy. The results of this study indicate that NU basically has the capital to maintain the arena of moderate Islam in Indonesia. The accumulation of capital is then at stake with two strategies, that efforts to maintain and widen the arena of power in Islam in Indonesia has a great opportunity
Harmoni atau Disharmoni Agama dan Filsafat Perspektif Ibnu Rusyd
Abstrak
Artikel ini berupaya untuk menganalisis upaya filsuf Ibnu Rusyd dalam mendamaikan agama dan filsafat. Akal sebagai representasi dari filsafat di satu sisi dan di sisi lain wahyu representasi dari agama. Pada awalnya kedua entitas tersebut menimbulkan berbagai macam persoalan dan konflik di internal umat Islam. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan didasarkan pada studi library, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan pemikiran Ibnu Rusyd dalam upayanya mendamaikan antara agama dan filsafat. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Ibn Rusyd memperkenalkan konsep demonstratif sebagai penghubung (harmonisasi) antara agama dan filsafat. Ibn Rusyd menegaskan bahwa agama dan filsafat tidak bertentangan karena keduanya memiliki tujuan yang sama, yaitu mengenal Tuhan. Ia berargumen bahwa filsafat bertugas menyelidiki realitas (maujud) sebagai bukti keberadaan Sang Pencipta, sementara agama memberikan panduan moral dan spiritual. Hubungan antara keduanya ia jelaskan melalui argumentasi tentang pengetahuan, keesaan, dan eksistensi Tuhan, yang diselaraskan dengan prinsip-prinsip syariat. Melalui kritik terhadap para teolog sebelumnya, Ibn Rusyd menawarkan pendekatan yang lebih rasional tanpa mengesampingkan otoritas agama. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya menunjukkan harmoni antara akal dan wahyu, tetapi juga memberikan landasan intelektual yang kuat bagi umat Islam dalam memahami hubungan agama dan filsafat. Pemikiran Ibn Rusyd menjadi upaya penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan antara rasionalitas dan keyakinan dalam tradisi Islam.

Internet sebagai Ruang Baru Kontestasi Diskursus Agama dan Politik: Kajian atas Diskursus Islam, Demokrasi dan Pancasila pada Website Keislaman Populer di Indonesia
The internet as a new medium has now become a contested space for political discourse. Focusing its analysis on eight popular Islamic websites in Indonesia, this paper examines how popular Islamic websites promote the concept of Islam and politic as seen in the issues of Pancasila, democracy, and Islamic state. The required data were collected through the method of web scraping. By using Lutfi Assyaukani's theory of three models of democracy in Indonesia, the results of this study indicate that the selected eight websites were classified into three variants of the political ideology model: First, websites that support religious democracy that are represented by the websites Nu.or.id, Islami.co, Ibtimes.id, and Bincangsyariah.com; second, websites that support Islamic democracy that are represented by Hidayatullah.com and Eramuslim.co.; and third, websites that support the Islamic caliphate that are represented by Voa-Islam.com and Nahimunkar.org, which rejected the form of a democratic state, both Islamic democracy and religious democracy, but accepted the Pancasila version of the Jakarta Charter
Post-Sekulerisme Islam Populis di Indonesia
This article explores the phenomenology of post-secularism in Indonesia. Populist Islamic movement strike for islamization public sphere as a sign of post-secularism in Indonesia. The islamization proceeded both in government dan the public sphere. These phenomena show that the community of urban Muslims can’t leave religious aspects in the public sphere. This research uses the qualitative-description method and library research models. The first result of this research shows that Islamic populism is coming from the urban Muslim middle class who have access to the modern world. Second, the populist Islamic movement who did islamization of the public sphere shows the strengthening of religion's role in the public sphere.

This paper studied the movement of Aksi Bela Islam (ABI) which was propagated by the GNPF MUI group to bring down Basuki Tjahaja Purnama from the governor position. This demonstration not only in Jakarta but also the various cities in Indonesia. The involvement of Muslims are influenced by social media. Social media has succeeded in becoming a public sphere for society. Today, society can take a truth from social media. Therefore, social construction is not only formed from individuals or society but also social media. This research uses literature study with analytical descriptive writing method. This paper uses framing analysis approach and Islam populist. The results of this paper show that social media has an important role in the construction of public awareness. Variety of Political Expressions: Study of Khilafatism Discourse on Islamic Salafi Websites in Indonesia
This study aims to analyze the ideology of khilafat discourse on Salafi websites in Indonesia. The presence of the Salafi group is not singular. Salafi groups develop according to the situation. In Indonesia, there are three Salafi groups: Salafi purists, Salafi haraki, and Salafi jihadi. All three also have websites devoted to the da'wah wing and produce discourses according to their respective ideologies. This research is qualitative, and data collection is done using observation and netnography. The objects of this research include three websites, namely muslim.or.id, majelismujahidin.com, and ansyarusyariah.com. The results of this study indicate that the website muslim.or.id represents the salafy purist group because it is a-political. The proof is that the article on this website emphasizes obedience to the legitimate leader even though it does not apply Islamic law as a whole. Meanwhile, the website Majelismujahidin.com represents haraki (political) groups who want to establish an Islamic state in Indonesia. Finally, the website ansyarusyariah.com represents the salafy jihadi group that wants to select an Islamic state and make jihad the primary way to fight for an Islamic state
Islam-Lokal dan Lokal-Islam: Menonton Ujang Bustomi dan Om Hao di Youtube pada Masa Pandemi
This article aims to describe religious expression on YouTube during the Covid 19 pandemic. Religious activities were relatively limited to social restriction policies with all their dynamics. Pandemic encouraged some people, they are Ujang Busthomi and Om Hao, to express their religiosity in real and on YouTube. The type of this research is qualitative with the data search method using YouTube observations on Kang Ujang Busthomi, account of Ujang Busthomi, and Kisah Tanah Jawa, account of Om Hao. This article finds that the pandemic situation encourages religious actors to express their religious expression awareness through YouTube. The variety of religious expression on YouTube, base on Ujang Busthomi and Om Hao account, revolves around two model. First, the expression of Islam-local style. Second, expression of local-Islam style.
[Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ekspresi keagamaan di YouTube pada masa pandemi. Selama pandemi, pembatasan sosial dengan segala dinamikanya mendorong sebagian orang mengekspresikan religiusitasnya tidak terbatas di ruang-ruang sosial nyata, namun juga di media sosial seperti YouTube. Keterbukaan ini mendorong munculnya ekspresi keagamaan dari tokoh penekun dunia supranatural, Ujang Busthomi dan Om Hao, yang sebelumnya lebih sering diungkapkan tidak secara terbuka. Data artikel ini didapatkan dengan menggunakan observasi akun YouTube Kang Ujang Busthomi dan Kisah Tanah Jawa. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa situasi pandemi mendorong umat beragama mengekspresikan dimensi keagamaan dari kehidupan mereka secara lebih terbuka dan virtual. Adapun ekspresi keagamaan dua tokoh yang dikaji dapat dibaca menjadi dua model. Pertama, ekspresi keagamaan Islam-lokal. Kedua, ekspresi keagamaan lokal-Islam.
