HEBREWS ARTICULATING HYPOSTATIC UNION WITH CHRIST

Hypostatic is derived from the original language of Scripture (Heb. 1:3) which brought the essential person of Jesus in his human and divine natures. Hebrews describes Jesus as superior to all other beings and all other claims. The doctrine of the hypostatic union teaches that our Lord’s divine nature and His human nature were united forever. He is different from the rest of humanity in that He is God and sinless and his unique theanthropic person of the universe. Despite the various opposing objections that attempt to criticize or disprove Jesus Christ’s two natures (divine and human) his obedience to God’s will even to the point of death shows Jesus’ divinity and humanity working together in perfect harmony. The basic idea that Christ is hypostatically communicating with both divine and human energies is also experienced by believers when their humanity is energized by the Holy Spirit and able to speak to God. In conclusion, the explanation of the anthropic unity of the person of Jesus Christ is quite clear that Jesus has both a divine will and a human will. The union of Christ’s divine and human natures are related to His acts as an incarnate person through His experience as a result of his person of Christ

Church Adaptation Strategies to Secularisation in Nigeria: A Comparative Study of Abuja and Lagos

This study aims to examine the strategies employed by churches in Nigeria—particularly in Abuja and Lagos—in responding to the challenges of secularisation, a process that reduces the societal significance of religion. As secular ideologies and materialist values reshape public consciousness, churches must adapt to remain socially relevant, especially among youth increasingly disengaged from traditional worship. Using a qualitative research design, this study integrates focus group discussions, participant observations, and secondary literature to explore how churches adopt innovative worship practices, digital technologies, and community engagement programs. Data were analysed using thematic analysis and interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA), allowing for in-depth interpretation of institutional and individual responses. Findings reveal that churches in both cities are implementing a multifaceted strategy: digital tools to attract younger audiences, community service programs to enhance public trust, and theological revisions to address ethical issues like inclusivity, social justice, and ecological responsibility. These adaptations have led to increased engagement, a stronger sense of belonging among congregants, and expanded the churches’ social roles. The study contributes to existing literature by offering a holistic understanding of church responses in a non-Western context. It highlights how the synergy between worship innovation, community service, and theological flexibility enables churches to survive and thrive in a secular environment. This research offers practical implications for church leaders, policymakers, and scholars interested in the evolving role of religion in society. The originality of this study lies in its integrated approach to secularisation and adaptation within African urban religious institutions, providing insights often overlooked in Western-centric research

The Old Testament Biblical Context of Jesus as Ebed Yahweh

Judaism's ideas of Ebed Yahweh and the Messiah are tasked with mending the false connection between Yahweh and his people and guiding them toward the disposition God has given them via his appointment. It's not implausible to think that the Ebed figure Deutero-Isaiah refers to lived up to his ideals and eventually went back to Jerusalem to continue his prophetic work. The qualities of Yahweh, the issue of evil, and theodicy are just a few of the topics covered in the writings of the Old Testament philosopher viewpoints on the entire ancient Israelite religion. To determine if Jesus serves as the Servant of God referred to in Deutero-Isaiah, the paper contextualizes Isaiah chapters 53 and 61. The evolution of Heilsgeschichte alludes to Ebed Yahweh’s figure. The researcher concluded that even in Palestine and mainstream crucial element thought could show that such a concept existed, it was, at best, improbable and flimsy. However, this does not change the reality that the Suffering Servant of God and the Suffering Prophet are linked. The Synoptic did apply ideas, death and Ebed's restoration covenant between God and his people to himself. &nbsp

The questionnaire was designed to elicit information from the senior secondary school teachers on the impact of gender differences on teachers' digital literacy skills in teaching STEAM. Data collected was analyzed using descriptive statistics tools which include pie charts and bar chat. The findings of the study showed that the number of male secondary school teachers was higher than their female counterparts involved in the teaching of STEAM in senior secondary schools. A significant difference exists in the number of male teachers that possess laptop devices compared to their female counterpart. A higher percentage of male teachers possess more digital skills than their female counterpart, lack of school support, limited time and lack of internet access are the major factors affecting the use of digital skills in teaching STEAM. This study recommends that schools should provide the needed facilities required in teaching STEAM based on global best practices

Kant's Legacy: Exploring Borders, Races, and Gender in His Philosophy

Immanuel Kant's philosophy, celebrated for its universalist ethics, harbors a shocking paradox: his groundbreaking ideas on autonomy and cosmopolitanism coexist with deeply Eurocentric, racist, and patriarchal views. This tension raises urgent questions about the applicability of Kantian principles in contemporary debates on borders, race, and gender. This study critically examines Kant's legacy, interrogating how his moral and political frameworks, while foundational, reinforce hierarchies that marginalize non-Europeans, women, and migrants. The research objectives are threefold: (1) to analyze Kant's contradictions between universalism and exclusionary practices, (2) to assess the implications of his racial and gendered hierarchies for modern social justice movements, and (3) to explore pathways for reclaiming Kantian ethics inclusively. Using a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed works (1990–2024), the study synthesizes critiques from critical race theory, feminist philosophy, and postcolonial studies. Key findings reveal that Kant's racial theories justified colonial oppression, his gender binaries perpetuated patriarchal norms, and his cosmopolitanism neglected border violence. However, his emphasis on human dignity offers a redeemable framework for rethinking global justice. The study contributes by bridging Kantian scholarship with intersectional critiques, proposing a revised ethics that confronts historical biases while retaining universalist aspirations. By exposing these contradictions, the paper urges philosophers to reckon with Kant's legacy—not to discard it, but to transform it into a tool for equity

Reframing Inclusive Education through Collaboration: Meeting the Needs of Diverse Learners

    No full text
Inclusive education is increasingly recognized as a global imperative, yet in many low- and middle-income countries such as Nigeria, progress has been constrained by persistent systemic barriers. The purpose of this study is to reframe inclusive education in Nigeria through collaboration, positioning it as the central mechanism for bridging the gap between policy aspirations and classroom realities. Specifically, the research aims to identify systemic barriers, develop a theoretical framework for collaboration, and propose a conceptual framework for multi-level implementation. A qualitative, conceptual research design was employed, drawing on a systematic review of peer-reviewed literature, policy documents, and credible gray sources. The analysis was guided by Constructivist Learning Theory, the Social Model of Disability, and Universal Design for Learning, and findings were synthesised through thematicic analysis. Findings indicate that exclusion emerges from the interplay of fragmented governance, infrastructure neglect, limited pedagogical capacity, and entrenched cultural stigma. The study argues that collaboration across ministries, schoolss, families, and communities is not optional but essential, and it proposes five domains of collaborative strategies supported by a multi-level implementation pathway. The conclusion drawn is that collaboration across ministries, schools, families, and civil society is not peripheral but essential. The study's main contribution lies in proposing an integrated framework of five collaborative strategies and a multi-level pathway that can guide both policy and practice. By advancing collaboration as the organizing principle of inclusion, the research offers a roadmap for systemic, sustainable reform
