Tabernakel sebagai Ruang Teologi Kehadiran Allah: Analisis Intertekstual antara Keluaran 25–40 dan Yohanes 1:14
This article examines the theological meaning of the Tabernacle in Exodus 25–40 through an intertextual analysis with John 1:14 in order to reconstruct the concept of God’s presence within a biblical-theological framework. The study aims to identify both continuity and transformation in the understanding of divine presence, moving from spatial representation to incarnational actualization in Christ. Employing a qualitative-descriptive method and intertextual hermeneutics, this research analyzes biblical texts and relevant theological literature. The findings demonstrate that the Tabernacle functions as a pedagogical medium shaping Israel’s awareness of God’s immanence and holiness, while the incarnation represents the ontological fulfillment of the “tabernacling” motif through a personal and relational presence. This study argues that God’s presence is dynamic, relational, and progressive within the redemptive narrative. The main contribution lies in integrating Old Testament spatial theology and Johannine Christology into a coherent synthesis of divine presence relevant for contemporary theological discourse.AbstrakArtikel ini menganalisis makna teologis Tabernakel dalam Keluaran 25–40 melalui pendekatan intertekstual dengan Yohanes 1:14 untuk merekonstruksi konsep kehadiran Allah dalam perspektif teologi biblika. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kontinuitas dan transformasi makna kehadiran Allah dari representasi spasial menuju aktualisasi inkarnasional dalam diri Kristus. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan hermeneutik intertekstual terhadap teks Alkitab dan literatur teologis relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tabernakel berfungsi sebagai medium pedagogis yang membentuk kesadaran umat akan imanensi dan kekudusan Allah, sementara inkarnasi merepresentasikan pemenuhan ontologis dari motif “bertabernakel” dalam relasi personal antara Allah dan manusia. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kehadiran Allah bersifat dinamis, relasional, dan progresif dalam narasi keselamatan. Kontribusi penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi teologi ruang Perjanjian Lama dan kristologi Injil Yohanes dalam satu kerangka sintesis teologi kehadiran Allah yang relevan bagi diskursus teologi kontemporer
Peran Kearifan Lokal Tentang Kesucian dalam Tradisi Kultural bagi Perjumpaan Antarpribadi di Tengah Tantangan Masyarakat: sebuah Refleksi Filosofis Menurut Seyyed Hossein Nasr
The phenomenon of religious drunkenness is a major problem in Indonesia. This destruction has an effect on the issue of community order. Seyyed Hossein Nasr's approach provides a framework for thinking about the approach of tradition and the search for holiness to examine the phenomenon of religious drunkenness. This research aims to understand this line of thought by matching it with local wisdom in Indonesia. It shows that the approach of tradition and the search for sanctity helps religious adherents to understand the spiritual values of their religion. Adherents are able to get sacred values from their religion. Faced with a plural society in Indonesia, sacred values are dialogued together. Pancasila as the ideology of the Indonesian state becomes a role model to understand each of these encounters. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study of Nasr's relevant works to identify key concepts in his thought.AbstrakFenomena mabuk agama menjadi satu persoalan yang besar Indonesia. Perusakan ini berefek pada persoalan tatanan masyarakat. Pendekataan Seyyed Hossein Nasr memberikan sebuah karangka berpikir tentang pendekatan tradisi dan pencarian kesucian untuk menelaah fenomena mabuk agama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami alur pemikiran tersebut dengan memadankan dengan kearifan lokal di Indonesia. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pendekatan tradisi dan pencarian kesucian membantu pemeluk agama untuk memahami nilai-nilai spiritualitas agamanya. Pemeluk mampu mendapat nilai-nilai kesucian dari agamanya. Berhadapan dengan masyarakat plural di Indonesia, nilia-nilai kesucian didialogkan secara bersama. Pancasila sebagai ideologi negara Indonesia menjadi satu panutan untuk memahammi setiap perjumpaan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekataan kualitatif dengan studi literatur terhadap karya-karya Nasr yang relevan untuk mengidentifikasi konsep-konsep kunci dalam pemikirannya
Peran Media Sosial dalam Pembentukan Identitas Sosial Siswa SMP Di Era Digital
This research aims to analyze the role of social media in shaping the social identity of junior high school students in the digital era. Social media has become an integral part of adolescents' lives, where they use platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp to interact and construct self-images. The interaction processes on social media influence how students perceive themselves and how they are perceived by others. This study employs a qualitative approach, using interviews and observations to identify factors influencing the formation of students' social identity. The findings reveal that social media plays a significant role in both reinforcing and altering students' social identity through various forms of social interaction, including the creation and acceptance of group norms. The positive and negative impacts of social media usage on students' social and emotional development are also discussed in this research.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran media sosial dalam pembentukan identitas sosial siswa SMP di era digital. Media sosial telah menjadi bagian penting dari kehidupan remaja, di mana mereka menggunakan platform seperti Instagram, TikTok, dan WhatsApp untuk berinteraksi dan membangun citra diri. Proses interaksi di media sosial mempengaruhi bagaimana siswa memandang diri mereka sendiri serta bagaimana mereka dipandang oleh orang lain. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara dan observasi untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pembentukan identitas sosial siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial berperan signifikan dalam memperkuat maupun mengubah identitas sosial siswa melalui berbagai bentuk interaksi sosial, termasuk penciptaan dan penerimaan norma-norma kelompok. Dampak positif dan negatif dari penggunaan media sosial terhadap perkembangan sosial dan emosional siswa juga dibahas dalam penelitian ini
METACOGNITIVE–DISCURSIVE ACTIVITIES IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL MATHEMATICS LEARNING: A COMPARATIVE STUDY IN SOUTHWEST SUMBA, INDONESIA
This study compares metacognitive–discursive activities in Grade-7 mathematics learning in two private Catholic junior high schools in Southwest Sumba, Indonesia: SMPK St. Paulus Karuni (n=14) and SMPK St. Aloysius Weetebula (n=13). A convergent parallel mixed-methods design was used, combining pre–post test results with classroom discourse analysis. Students completed an initial test consisting of 12 mathematics items and 6 logic items, and the same test was administered again after one semester. Classroom lessons were video-recorded and transcribed; focal segments were analyzed using a metacognitive–discursive activity category system (Karuni: 08:20–15:35; Weetebula: 44:10–51:23). Baseline results indicated similar initial achievement (combined averages 21% at Karuni and 19% at Weetebula), with both cohorts struggling on fraction items, particularly those involving unlike denominators. Discourse coding showed that Karuni displayed a more sustained metacognitive–discursive teaching culture, including more frequent student participation in explaining, justifying, and checking solutions, alongside active peer discussion and limited impact of negative discursive events. In Weetebula, metacognitive moves appeared more teacher-mediated and negative discursive events (e.g., low audibility, fragmented explanations, interruptions) occurred more frequently, reducing clarity of meaning-making. Post-test results aligned with these patterns. Karuni improved to 27% (mathematics) and 66% (logic), yielding a combined average of 34%, whereas Weetebula reached 16% (mathematics) and 36% (logic), with a combined average of 20%. Overall, the findings suggest that sustained student engagement in metacognitive–discursive interaction is associated with stronger learning development over one semester
CONTROLLING EXAMOPHOBIA AMONG COLLEGES OF EDUCATION STUDENTS USING ASSERTIVENESS TRAINING AND COGNITIVE RESTRUCTURING
This study examined the effectiveness of assertiveness training and cognitive restructuring on examophobia among Colleges of Education students in Kwara state. The study adopted quasi experimental research design with pretest, posttest, non-randomized and non-equivalent control group of 3x2x2 factorial design. The experimental groups were exposed to assertiveness training and cognitive restructuring treatments while the control group was taught using the lecture method. The instruments used for data collection were Examination Phobia Scale and Adapted Study Habits Inventory while descriptive statistics, and ANCOVA were used to analyze data. The study revealed that cognitive restructuring and assertiveness training were effective techniques for treating examophobia. However, students’ gender and study habits were not determinants in the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring and assertiveness training techniques in treating examophobia. Also, the study found that there was no significant interaction effect of gender, study habits and treatments on examophobia among students. Therefore, the study recommended the establishment of modern student counselling and human development centres in the Colleges of Education
No Price for Grace: Canonical Reflections on Mass Offerings and the Poor
In the evolving context of how the Church administers the sacraments, a profound question arises again regarding the practice of Mass offerings, especially in light of the decree issued by the Dicastery for the Clergy in April 2025. This paper will focus on cc. 848 and 945 §2, which emphasize justice and generosity in accepting Mass intentions, especially from the poor. How are we to respond pastorally to those who truly cannot make an offering? This question touches the core of the priestly vocation today: to embody a Church that stands with the marginalized, while reaffirming the identity of the priest as a servant of mercy, not merely a manager of rites. In the modern pastoral context, where poverty may change in form but never truly disappears, this issue presents both an urgent challenge and an invitation to remain faithful in serving Christ present in the poor
Sweron as a Model for Integral Ecological Education in Papua: a Contextual Theological Study
This study examines Sweron as a model of integral ecological education in Papua: a contextual theological study. Sweron is a tradition of local wisdom passed down from generation to generation by the Papuan people, especially the Maybrat tribe, which functions as an ecological, social and spiritual mechanism in maintaining a harmonious relationship between humans, nature and God. This study aims to analyse the theological meaning of Sweron and its relevance as a model of integral ecological education amid the global ecological crisis. This study uses Gadamer's hermeneutic phenomenology method. Gadamer emphasises that hermeneutics is not merely a method for interpreting texts, but rather a philosophy of understanding rooted in dialogue between the interpreter and the interpreted reality. Understanding occurs through a process of fusion of horizons, namely the horizon of the researcher and the horizon of the text/subject. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, document study, documentation, and focused discussions with the community, traditional leaders, and those with a sufficient understanding of Sweron.Data analysis was carried out by combining three main frameworks: first, contextual theology, which views Sweron as a locus theologicus; second, Laudato Si' integral ecology, which emphasises the interconnectedness of the ecological, social, and spiritual dimensions; third, religion-nature-culture, which interprets Sweron as a form of ecological spirituality. The results of the study show that Sweron not only functions as a tradition-based environmental management system, but also contains theological values that affirm humanity's moral responsibility towards nature as God's creation. Sweron represents a model of integral ecology education that is holistic, contextual, and transformative, as a form of respect for nature that needs to be studied ecotheologically. This research contributes to the development of Sweron-based eco-theology by offering a new perspective for the Indonesian eco-theological discourse and enriching the dialogue between ecology, theology and culture in a sustainable manner
Munus Regendi dan Rasionalitas Moral dalam Pendirian Lembaga Katolik
This study examines the juridical and philosophical foundations of ecclesiastical authority in the establishment of public juridic persons (erectio canonica) within the Catholic Church. Using a normative–conceptual approach grounded in natural law theory and canon law, it argues that ecclesiastical authority derives its legitimacy not merely from institutional power but from moral rationality rooted in munus regendi, the pastoral office of governing in Christ’s name. The study finds that erectio canonica functions as both a legal and theological act, ensuring that Catholic institutions act in nomine Ecclesiae and maintain fidelity to the Church’s salvific mission. In Indonesia, harmonizing canon law and civil law remains essential to secure both legal validity and ecclesial legitimacy. The research concludes that genuine ecclesiastical authority integrates legality, morality, and pastoral mission toward the bonum commune ecclesiae.AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji dasar yuridis dan filosofis otoritas Gerejawi dalam pendirian badan hukum publik (erectio canonica) di dalam Gereja Katolik. Dengan pendekatan normatif–konseptual yang berlandaskan teori hukum alam dan hukum kanonik, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa otoritas Gerejawi memperoleh legitimasi bukan dari kekuasaan kelembagaan, melainkan dari rasionalitas moral yang bersumber pada munus regendi—tugas pastoral untuk memimpin atas nama Kristus. Erectio canonica berfungsi sebagai tindakan hukum sekaligus teologis yang menjamin lembaga Katolik bertindak in nomine Ecclesiae dan tetap setia pada misi keselamatan Gereja. Dalam konteks Indonesia, sinergi antara hukum kanonik dan hukum sipil menjadi kunci bagi keabsahan hukum dan legitimasi eklesial. Life of Indonesian society still colored by conflict, such as corruption, nepotism, discrimination, SARA politics, and money politics . The purpose of writing is to provide an understanding to every Catholic believer, especially the Indonesian people, to use their reason and conscience in realizing common welfare ( bonum commune ), through politics. The writing method used is a literature review with various references found in books, journals, and documents. Humans are a social society in the image of God and have the dignity of life as a special gift from God. The Catholic Church is present to teach moral principles that must be upheld by the state in carrying out its duties. The state is expected to prioritize justice, truth and common welfare ( bonum commune ) in its policies . Politics is not just a matter of power and policy, but a calling to serve others in creating a better world. Thus, politics becomes a positive means of building a just, peaceful and prosperous society in accordance with the moral and ethical teachings of religion
Pentingnya Pendidikan Iman Berdasarkan Ensiklik Lumen Fidei
Faith education, as outlined in this encyclical, emphasizes the instillation of integral spiritual, moral, and ethical values, which are not only cognitive but also affective and conative. Faith education, in this document, is seen as a shared responsibility, both within the family, school, and church community. This study uses a literature study method. There are several points that will be discussed in this study; Challenges of faith faced by young people today? What is the role of the Family, Church and Community in developing the faith of young people? and this study identifies the main principles of Lumen Fidei that can be applied in faith education, including the importance of dialogue between faith and reason in faith formation. The results of this study will discuss the relevance of faith education based on Lumen Fidei in the context of moral and character formation, the importance of integration between faith and reason, and the responsibility of the community in educating a generation of believers to develop the faith of young people to be a blessing to others.AbstrakPendidikan iman, sebagaimana diuraikan dalam ensiklik ini, menekankan pada penanaman nilai-nilai spiritual, moral, dan etika yang integral, yang bukan hanya bersifat kognitif tetapi juga afektif dan konatif. Pendidikan iman, dalam dokumen ini, dilihat sebagai tanggung jawab bersama, baik dalam lingkup keluarga, sekolah, maupun komunitas gereja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka. Terdapat beberapa poin yang akan dibahas dalam penelitian ini, antara lain; Tantangan iman yang dihadapi saat ini oleh orang muda? Apa peran Keluarga, Gereja dan Komunitas dalam pengembangan iman orang muda? dan penelitian ini mengidentifikasi prinsip-prinsip utama dari Lumen Fidei yang dapat diterapkan dalam pendidikan iman, termasuk pentingnya dialog antara iman dan akal dalam pembinaan iman. Hasil dari penelitian ini akan membahas relevansi pendidikan iman berdasarkan Lumen Fidei dalam konteks pembentukan moral dan karakter, pentingnya integrasi antara iman dan akal, serta tanggung jawab komunitas dalam mendidik generasi beriman una mengembangkan iman orang muda menjadi berkat bagi sesama
