Challenges In Implementing Islamic Financial Institution Pension Funds In Indonesia
Islamic Financial Institution Pension Funds (DPLK Syariah) represent a long-term financial instrument aimed at ensuring retirees’ economic security while adhering to Islamic principles. Despite the rapid growth of the Islamic finance industry in Indonesia, the development of Islamic pension funds remains relatively limited compared to conventional pension schemes. This article seeks to systematically examine the key challenges faced in the implementation of DPLK Syariah in Indonesia and to formulate strategic efforts to strengthen its development. Employing a qualitative approach, this study adopts a literature review method by analyzing scholarly articles, regulatory frameworks, policy reports, and relevant academic publications published between 2022 and 2025. The findings reveal that the implementation of DPLK Syariah is constrained by multidimensional challenges, including regulatory disharmony, limited availability of sharia-compliant investment instruments, low public literacy and participation, as well as institutional and human resource capacity weaknesses. Furthermore, the dominance of conventional pension funds continues to restrict market penetration for Islamic pension schemes. To address these challenges, this study proposes several strategic measures, such as enhancing Islamic financial literacy, promoting product and technological innovation, expanding sharia-based investment instruments, strengthening governance and human capital, and improving regulatory harmonization. This study is expected to contribute both conceptually and practically to policymakers, industry practitioners, and academics in fostering a more inclusive, competitive, and sustainable Islamic pension fund ecosystem in Indonesia
Analisis Praktik Tarah Pada Jual Beli Buah Jeruk Pada Petani Kecamatan Bangorejo Kabupaten Banyuwangi Perspektif Mazdhab Syafi’i
This study aims to analyze the practice of tarah in the sale and purchase of citrus fruit by farmers in Bangorejo District, Banyuwangi Regency, from the perspective of the Shafi'i School of Law. The approach used in this study is qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the analysis say that tarah or pieces of weight taken by the buyer, is a form of gift from the seller whose law is sunnah, because the tarah taken by the buyer is written in the note and there is willingness from the seller, in addition, giving tarah from the seller is a form of practice to make it easier to carry out buying and selling transactions, where Allah SWT promises to give mercy to sellers who make it easier for buyers
QS. Al-W?qi‘ah: 75–80 dalam Perspektif Teori Tarjamah Modern: Integrasi Konseptual Antara Equivalence dan Skopos dalam Pemaknaan Teks Sakral: Pendahuluan, Landasan Teori, Metode, Hasil dan Pembahasan, Kesimpulan dan Penutup
This study analyzes the Indonesian translation of verses 75–80 from Surah Al-W?qi‘ah through the perspective of interpretative translation. The research aims to examine how symbolic and rhetorical meanings in the Qur’anic text are conveyed into the target language while maintaining the essence of the original message. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the researchers examined the Indonesian translation issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in comparison with the Arabic source text. The findings reveal that the translation goes beyond literal rendering, employing an interpretative approach to communicate deep concepts such as divine oath, sacredness, and revelation. The study concludes that applying interpretative translation in this context enhances the audience’s comprehension and connects the message to the local cultural framework.Penelitian ini menganalisis terjemahan Bahasa Indonesia ayat 75–80 dari Surat Al-W?qi'ah melalui perspektif penerjemahan interpretatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana makna simbolik dan retoris dalam teks Al-Qur'an disampaikan ke dalam bahasa sasaran dengan tetap menjaga esensi pesan aslinya. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitis, para peneliti mengkaji terjemahan Bahasa Indonesia yang dikeluarkan oleh Kementerian Agama dengan membandingkannya dengan teks sumber Bahasa Arab. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjemahan tersebut melampaui terjemahan secara harfiah, menggunakan pendekatan interpretatif untuk mengomunikasikan konsep-konsep yang mendalam seperti sumpah ilahi, kesakralan, dan wahyu. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan penerjemahan interpretatif dalam konteks ini meningkatkan pemahaman audiens dan menghubungkan pesan dengan kerangka budaya lokal
Penerapan PSAK No. 405 Akad Mudharabah pada Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil Mandiri Ukhuwah Persada (BMT MUDA) Surabaya
Indonesia, as one of the countries with the largest Muslim populations in the world, has implemented Sharia Accounting Standards (PSAK) to ensure that the recording and presentation of financial transactions in Islamic financial institutions comply with Sharia principles. One of these standards is PSAK 405, which regulates mudharabah accounting and has been effective since January 1, 2024, as part of the renumbering of Sharia Accounting Standards from the 1xx series to the 4xx series. This study aims to examine the implementation of PSAK 405 in mudharabah contracts at BMT Mandiri Ukhuwah Persada (BMT MUDA) Surabaya. This research employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation during the period from January 2025 to June 2025. The results indicate that BMT MUDA has fully implemented PSAK 405, covering the aspects of recognition, measurement, presentation, and disclosure. Mudharabah investments are recognized at the time of fund disbursement, measured at the amount of funds provided, and presented in the financial statements at their carrying value. Losses are recognized provided that they are not caused by the negligence of the fund manager. Disclosures include business performance reports, profit-sharing ratios, loss provisions, and mudharabah business activities. However, standard operating procedures in business performance reporting still need to be improved to minimize the potential for fraud
Penerapan Metode Eklektik (Metode Drill dan Metode Reward and Punishment) untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Mufradat Siswa Kelas VII A MTs. Al-Islam
The drill method that is commonly used by teachers in Class VII A of Al-Islam Joresan Junior High School in fact becomes less effective during the day, because on average students have experienced boredom and boredom in learning when the weather conditions are hot and the physical condition is tired. This condition makes the motivation and learning outcomes of the students very low. Only 10 students out of a total of 28 students in the class had their mufradat memorization scores reaching the Minimum Completeness Criteria. Therefore, the researcher tried to collaborate the drill method that is commonly used in the school with the Reward and Punishment method in the classroom to increase the motivation and learning outcomes of the students. The application of the combined method between the two, which is better known as the eclectic method, is expected to increase the students' enthusiasm for learning so that their learning outcomes also increase. This research is included in the class action research. The researcher carried out two cycles to improve student motivation and learning outcomes. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection is carried out through observation and test techniques. The analysis technique uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of this study show that the motivation to learn mufradat of Class VII A of Al-Islam Joresan Junior High School students increased. There were no students who were sleepy when the learning took place, the majority of them scrambled to answer questions about mufradat from the teacher. Their learning outcomes have increased in cycles I and II. Pengembangan Ekonomi Dan Lembaga Keuangan Melalui Pendekatan Filsafat Ekonomi Islam
Contemporary Islamic economics literature (2022–2025) tends to be dominated by analyses of technical compliance in Islamic fintech products and sukuk. However, studies highlighting the gap between compliance formality and the substantive achievement of maqasid al-shari’ah—especially regarding distributive justice—remain very limited. This research offers novelty by reconstructing the philosophical foundations of Islamic Financial Institutions (IFIs) to shift the focus from formal legality toward real social impact. Using an integrative-critical literature review method, this study synthesizes more than 25 accredited sources through thematic analysis to evaluate the regulations and practices of IFIs in Indonesia. The results show that without the integration of the amanah philosophy and the ta’lil al-ahkam approach, financial products are often trapped in "window dressing" practices without significant contribution to MSME inclusivity. Substantially, Sharia compliance must be redefined not merely as the validity of contracts, but also based on wealth distribution performance. In conclusion, regulators and Sharia supervisory boards need to adopt maqasid-based performance indicators to transform IFIs into substantive agents of falah, rather than mere replicas of conventional institutions
Peran Pembiayaan Mikro Syariah Bank BSI KCP Genteng Dalam Mendorong Pertumbuhan Ekonomi UMKM
This research examines how effective micro-financing is at BSI KCP Genteng in promoting the growth of MSMEs in suburban regions. What makes this study unique is its focus on the important role that Islamic banking plays after mergers in reducing local capital obstacles. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through comprehensive interviews with branch management, marketing personnel, and MSME clients. Findings show that micro-financing plays a crucial role in enhancing working capital, increasing production capabilities, and broadening market opportunities. The discussion emphasizes that the role of this financial support goes beyond just providing funds; it acts as a strategic tool for fostering equitable economic well-being. This study suggests that Islamic financial institutions should adopt digital services and ongoing mentorship to reinforce MSMEs as the cornerstone of the local econom
Exploring Arabic Synonyms for Beginner Learners: A Vocabulary-Based Approach
Abstract: This study explores the pedagogical role of synonym-based vocabulary instruction in Arabic language learning for beginner students. Vocabulary is widely recognized as the foundation of second language acquisition, yet the systematic teaching of synonyms has received limited attention in Arabic pedagogy. The aim of this study is to investigate how synonyms can be effectively introduced to novice learners and to assess their impact on lexical competence and communicative readiness. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the research was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah, Pasuruan, Indonesia, with a focus on 30 newly enrolled students who had minimal prior exposure to Arabic. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and focus group discussions with students, as well as teacher interviews and supporting teaching materials. Thematic analysis, based on Miles and Huberman’s framework, identified three key findings: first, semantic grouping of synonyms such as ???–???, ???–???, and ???–???? enhanced students’ comprehension of nuanced meanings; second, synonym learning improved vocabulary recall by associating multiple words with a single concept; and third, students expressed greater confidence and inclusivity in oral communication when exposed to lexical alternatives. The results confirm that synonym-based instruction is not merely an enrichment activity but a fundamental strategy to deepen lexical knowledge and foster communicative competence at the beginner level. This study contributes to bridging the gap between semantic theory, computational approaches to synonymy, and practical pedagogy, offering practical implications for Arabic curriculum design and classroom practice.
 
Improving Students’ Interest and Learning Outcomes in Maharah Qira’ah through the TGT Model in Senior High School
Abstract: This study aims to describe the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model in teaching maharah qira’ah and to enhance students’ interest and learning outcomes in maharah qira’ah through the application of the TGT model among high school students. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles with the participants being students of class XI-E at SMA Islam Malang. Data were collected through observation, learning interest questionnaires, and achievement tests. The findings indicate that the TGT model was implemented in five stages: class presentation, team work, games, tournament, and team recognition. This approach fostered collaborative and competitive learning, helping students comprehend Arabic texts, both explicit and implicit. Students' interest in learning increased from an average of 73.8 in the pre-cycle to 82.7 in cycle I and 83.5 in cycle II, supported by innovative learning media such as question cards and the Arabic Monopoly game. Students' learning outcomes also showed significant improvement, from 88.5 in the pre-cycle to 91.6 in cycle I and 93.5 in cycle II. These findings suggest that the TGT model is not only effective in increasing students’ learning interest but also has a positive impact on their maharah qira’ah achievement.

Extracurricular Theater Management at Silo 1 State Middle School
This study examines the management of theater extracurricular activities at Silo 1 State Junior High School, known as Teater Zero. The background of the study is based on the success of this theater in attracting the attention of the community and local government through colossal drama performances at official events in Jember Regency. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study method through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that planning was carried out systematically at the beginning of the school year by involving supervisors, coaches, and extracurricular administrators; the implementation of activities was structured through routine practice, discipline management, and full support from the school; while evaluation was carried out continuously through self-assessment and coach assessment after the performance. These findings confirm that theater extracurricular management at Silo 1 State Junior High School is able to shape character, improve communication skills, and foster student self-confidence. This study contributes to an in-depth understanding of best practices in theater extracurricular management at the junior high school level and can be used as a model for other educational institutions in optimizing extracurricular activitiesPenelitian ini membahas manajemen ekstrakurikuler teater di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Silo yang dikenal dengan Teater Zero. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada keberhasilan teater ini dalam menarik perhatian masyarakat dan pemerintah daerah melalui pementasan drama kolosal pada acara resmi Kabupaten Jember. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan dilakukan secara sistematis pada awal tahun ajaran dengan melibatkan pembina, pelatih, dan pengurus ekstrakurikuler; pelaksanaan kegiatan berjalan terstruktur melalui latihan rutin, pengelolaan disiplin, serta dukungan penuh dari pihak sekolah; sedangkan evaluasi dilakukan secara berkelanjutan melalui penilaian mandiri dan penilaian pelatih setelah pementasan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa manajemen ekstrakurikuler teater di SMPN 1 Silo mampu membentuk karakter, meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi, serta menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi berupa pemahaman mendalam mengenai praktik terbaik pengelolaan ekstrakurikuler teater di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama dan dapat dijadikan model bagi institusi pendidikan lain dalam mengoptimalkan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler
