    Space, basically occurs by the relationship between an object and a man who saw it. The relationship is initially determined by sight, but when viewed from the sense of space in architecture, then the relationship may be influenced by olfactory, auditory and tactile (Ashihara, 1974). Marcus research results and Wischemann (1983) in Marcus and Francis (1998) states a distinction between interior and open space, where the space inside is identical with a feeling of "closed", "boring", "frustration", "nervous", while open space more synonymous with the feeling of "calm", "silence", "relax", "peaceful", "green", "comfortable", "peaceful". Such differences may experience for some of us happen because the building "expect" anything from us (study, work, teach, answer calls, meetings), while the open space was not expecting anything and therefore can be a sedative of working and learning that lead stress. For these reasons, the concept of front yard becomes important. For some people, the idea of sunbathing or relaxing activities in the public space may be restricted, but the rest, meditate or daydream in a familiar place that feels like home base, around people who are known, may be more acceptable. The concept of the front yard may be the most important for graduate students and faculty, who spend most of their time on campus in or around a single building.     ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganlisisi tentang pengaruh reward kepada kinerja karyawan CV. Tiga Putera Jaya. Reward diberikan kepada karyawan dengan syarat mereka bisa menjalankan ibadah sunnah maupun wajib secara konsisten. Apabila ada yang konsisten dalam menjalankan ibadah di waktu kerja, maka ia akan mendapat reward. Alasan adanya reward ini dikarenakan pihak manager tidak ingin para karyawan hanya sekedar kerja saja, namun juga menjalankan ibadah sunnah maupun wajib. Di sisi lain, adanya reward ini dikarenakan tiga dari lima karyawan kurang memiliki minat ibadah yang kuat, sehingga manager mengambil tindakan untuk memberi reward kepada mereka yang memiliki tingkat ibadah dan kerja yang kuat. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam hal ini adalah kualitatif. Adapun metode mencari data dengan observasi dan wawancara kepada para karyawan dan pihak manager. Data-data yang terkumpul kemudian dibantu dengan sebuah teori untuk mempermudah analisis. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori motif sosial. Teori motif sosial adalah motif yang timbul untuk memenuhi kebutuhan inidividu dalam hubungannya dengan lingkungan sosial, dan motif ini timbul karena adanya dorongan kebutuhan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa reward diprioritaskan kepada mereka yang kurang memiliki semangat kerja. Hasilnya reward ini telah berhasil untuk menumbuhkan semangat kerja sekaligus ibadah bagi karyawan. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa terdapat motif teogenetis dalam reward ini. Di samping itu juga terdapat motif afiliasi di perusahaan tersebut. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya hubungan harmonis antara pihak karyawan dengan manager. Jalinan ikatan yang kuat antara karyawan dan manager berdampak pada sikap toleransi, gotong rotong, bekerjasama, sehingga suasana dalam perusahaan lebih tenang dan nyaman

    Adsorpsi Ion Mn(II) Pada Zeolit yang Disintesis dari Abu Dasar Batubara Termodifikasi Ditizon

    Adsorption characteristic of Mn(II) on zeolite synthesized from bottom ash with alkaline hydrothermal conditions loaded with dithizone have been examined. The parameters studied includes effect of pH, contact time, initial concentrations and temperature of Mn(II) by batch experiments. The raw and modified samples were characterized by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transformation infra red (FT-IR) and Surface area analyzer (SAA) and used for the removal of Mn(II) from aqueous solution. This research shows Si and Al contents of the bottom ash analysed by XRF spectrometry dominant were used for the alkaline hydrothermal conversion of the bottom ash compounds into zeolite with range SiO2/Al2O3 ratio obtained from 1 to 5. The results of XRD and FTIR showed that the activation with reflux of bottom ash by alkali hydrothermal process can produce a material which has a similar structure zeolite (zeolite-like). Hydrothermal product consists of a mixture of zeolite (zeolite Y, zeolite Na-P and zeolite X) and sodalite crystals at temperatures of 100 °C for 24 hours. Hydrothermal product showed specific IR absorption zeolite at wavenumber 300-1250 cm-1and zeolite modified dithizone showed absorption -NH and –SH at wavenumber 1496,76 and 2461,17 cm-1. The results SAA showed that with addition dithizone lowering the specific surface area of zeolite from 160,262 m²/g to 69,609 m²/g. Results of study show that adsorption of Mn(II) reaches its maximum values at pH 6 for zeolite and pH 8 for zeolite modified dithizone, respectively. The adsorption kinetics based on the pseudo-second-order rate equation indicates that the rate limiting step involving a chemical reaction. The adsorption rate constants for zeolite synthesis -0,014g/mg.min-1and for the zeolite modified dithizone 0,0204g/mg.min-1. Based on the Langmuir equation, the maximum adsorption capacity (qmax) synthetic zeolite of 2.63x10-4mol/g and zeolite modified dhitizone 2.88x10-4mol/g. Adsorption equilibrium constant for the synthetic zeolite 0,742 mg/L and for zeolite modified dithizone 2,625 mg/L. The negative ΔH and ΔS indicate an exothermic and spontaneous process. But value of ΔG is positive, which indicates that the reaction is not spontaneous. So, adsorption using two adsorbents takes place spontaneously at a lower temperature. In general, the ability of dithizone-loaded zeolite to adsorb Mn(II) is better than does the unmodified one

    This thesis describes Carlyle's hesitancy towards Muhammad as a representation of the Eastern nations. By using the Postcolonial literary criticism theory, specifically the Orientalism theory presented by Edward Said and ambivalence as the second theory from Homi Bhabha. The authors found that Carlyle's writings showed a negative Western prejudice that always looked down on Easterners. However, the author turns out to have ambivalent thoughts that are inconsistent between defending the East or attacking it like Bhabha’s theory. Carlyle was hesitant in representing the Eastern figure. He praised him as hero and great man. After analyzing the writings of Carlyle it turned out that the spirit of Western Orientalism was never objective in writing his views on the East. By using the view of ambivalence as the basic ideology of the author. The results of the analysis show that in the representation of the East is only a prejudice created and considered right by Orientalists towards the East. Finally, ambivalence is a way to hide and justify Western imperialism against the East

    Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menguji dan mendapatkan data secara empiris mengenai perbedaan perilaku membeli jeans ditinjau dari jenis kelamin pada mahasiswa psikologi UMA. Sejalan dengan landasan teori, maka diajukan hipotesa yang berbunyi ada perbedaan perilaku membeli jeans ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Dimana perilaku membeli wanita lebih tinggi dari pada pria. Mahasiswa Psikologi regular B 2014 berjumlah 150. Penelitan ini melibatkan 82 Mahasiswa Psikologi reguler B 2014 sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen skala likert untuk skala perilaku membeli. Skala perilaku membeli dilihat dari indikator menurut Sumartono (2002). Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien Anova, dimana F = 146,601 ; dimana p = 0.000 < 0.010. Mean Hipotetik perilaku membeli wanita 142,5 dan Mean Empirik 173,98. Sedangkan perilaku membeli pria Mean Hipotetik 142.5 dan Mean Emperik 109,93. Dari hasil perhitungan mean hipotetik dan mean empirik diperoleh perilaku membeli wanita lebih tinggi dibandingkan priaThis research is quantitative research that aims to test and get data empirically about the difference of buying behavior of jeans in terms of gender on UMA student psychology.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menguji pengaruh struktur modal, profitabilitas, kebijakan dividen, dan free cash flow terhadap nilai perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan 37 perusahaan sektor infrastruktur sebagai sampel yang memiliki informasi lengkap yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2021-2024. Pemilihan sampel ditentukan dengan metode purpossive sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 26. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa Struktur modal, profitabilitas, kebijakan dividen, dan free cash flow secara simultan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Secara parsial, kebijakan dividen tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Sedangkan, struktur modal, profitabilitas, dan free cash flow berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Temuan berfungsi sebagai masukan bagi manajemen perusahaan untuk membantu dalam mengambil keputusan serta sebagai bahan informasi tambahan dalam pengambilan keputusan investasi bagi investor.     Prediction of stress distribution using 3D geomechanical model in De Lier Field, the Netherlands

    An understanding about geomechanical condition is necessarily needed in order to examine the state of stress of a subsurface area. Geomechanical modeling is one of the method to understand the mechanical condition and has been used in various subsurface-related industries such as oil and gas, geothermal, and CO2 storage. The principal stress distribution influences the stress regime and dictates the creation of different type of fault and fracture. The magnitude and orientation of principal stresses are controlled by the physical and mechanical properties of the rock such as density and Poisson’s ratio. It is also effected by the tectonic stress and the geometry of the model which is created using the seismic data. In the case where the gravity is the only source of stress in the model, normal stress regime is observed in the whole depth. Meanwhile, in the case of tectonic stress is also involved, the stress regime changes over the depth from reverse, strike-slip, to normal stress regime. Lateral variation of the stress magnitude is observed even though it is not really significant. The presence of the fault in the model does not have a large contribution to influence the magnitude and orientation of the principal stresses. Changing the pore pressure magnitude is indeed can affect the principal, effective stress, and the stress regime throughout the model.Applied Earth Science

    Indonesian marine biodiversity as a sustainable resource to support Indonesian pharmaceutical industry in ASEAN pharmaceutical market

    Indonesian waters are known as mega-diversity resource which can produce many chemical compounds. These compounds have been identified could be a sustainable source for novel drugs, especially for the usage of pharmaceutical. Up to 2007, at least 77 new compounds are from 14 sponges and 19 new compounds are from non-sponge organisms with pharmacological potential have been identified from Indonesian waters. Unfortunately, this richness is not optimized yet. By the literature survey methods, marine culture might be one of the methods which can be developed in Indonesia to overcome the degradation hazard of marine resources. Through this method, Indonesia could be a great nation with the huge of resources for domestic and ASEAN pharmaceutical industry which can provide economic value for Indonesia and also can strengthen Indonesia in facing ASEAN pharmaceutical market
