    This article discusses one of Arabic learning problems related to Contextual Expressions (Al-Ta'bīr al-Siyāqī) and Idiomatic Expression (At-Ta'bīr al-Isṭilāhī). These linguistic problems become one of Arabic learning obstacles as someone who learns Arabic-as so learning other foreign languages--will face the expressions whose meanings are different from the original meanings (lexical meanings).  This obstacle is hardened by the fact that it is hard to find a dictionary which contains this kind of expressions. In this article, the writer discusses firstly about what do those expressions mean, the characters of each expression, the differentiation between the two expressions, and common overlapping of the expressions. Besides, the writer also investigates and evaluates how far the classical and contemporary Arabic dictionaries contain those expressions.  In this discussion, the writer focuses on Contextual Expressions, their meanings, the aims of composing the expressions as well as the growth and development of the expressions in Arabic and other languages.  From this investigation, it is found that the concern of classical dictionary writers in explaining the above expressions was great. This is different from contemporary dictionary writers who have a little concern to this. It is also hard to find a specific contemporary dictionary which contains the expressions. Therefore, the writer suggests Arabic linguists to write this kind of dictionary. [Tulisan ini menyoroti tentang salah satu problem pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang berkaitan dengan Al-Ta'bīir al-Siyāqī (Contextual Expression) dan Al-ta'bīr al-isṭilaḥi (idiomatic Expression). Kedua masalah kebahasaan tersebut menjadi salah satu kendala belajar bahasa Arab, karena seseorang yang belajar bahasa Arab --sebagaimana belajar bahasa yang lain-- akan dihadapkan pada ungkapan-ungkapan yang mempunyai arti yang berbeda dari arti asal suatu kata (arti lexical). Kesulitan tersebut menjadi semakin terasa ketika ternyata belum tersedia atau sangat langkanya kamus yang secara spesifik memuat kedua jenis ungkapan tersebut. Dalam artikel ini, penulis, pertama, mendiskripsikan tentang apa yang dimaksud dengan kedua ungkapan tersebut diatas, karakter masing-masing, perbedaan antara keduanya dan sering tumpang tindihnya kedua istilah tersebut. Disamping itu, penulis juga melakukan pelacakan dan penelusuran terhadap kamus bahasa Arab pada masa klasik dan kontemporer tentang sejauhmana perhatian mereka dalam mengungkap makna kedua ta'bir tersebut dengan mengambil beberapa sampel. Disini penulis memberikan penekanan secara khusus terhadap ungkapan kontektual (Al-ta'bīr al-siyāqī); pengertiannya, tujuan penyusunannya, awal kemunculan dan perkembangannya, baik dalam bahasa Arab maupun bahasa yang lain. Dari kajian ini terungkap betapa perhatian para penyusun kamus dimasa klasik cukup besar di dalam mengungkap kedua ungkapan di atas. Hanya saja para penyusun kamus kontemporer belum memberikan perhatian yang sama seperti pada masa klasik padahal kedua ungkapan tersebut terus berkembang. Apalagi kalau berkaitan dengan kamus yang secara spesifik memuat kedua ungkapan tersebut dan diperuntukkan sebagai pendukung pengajaran kedua ungkapan tersebut, maka ternyata sangat langka, kalau tidak bisa dikatakan tidak ada. Karena itu penulis sangat mengaharapkan adanya penyusunan kamus semacam ini

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     The Phenomenon of Bullying in Schools during the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Quranic Perspective

    Bullying is still common in the education sector, especially in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bullying between students in online learning occurs verbally through social media. In contrast, in offline learning, bullying is carried out as evasion and exclusion in the school environment, such as canteens, toilets, classrooms, and parking lots. This study aims to discuss bullying in schools from the perspective of the Qurán. This study uses a qualitative method, with the type of library research, the historical approach, and the descriptive approach used. Bullying from the perspective of the Qur'an can be seen from the prohibition of bullying behavior in surah Al-Hujurat verse 13 and surah Yusuf verses 8-10. Meanwhile, solutions for victims and bullying behavior can be seen in the Al-Qur'an surah Al-Luqman verses 13-19, At-Thaha verses 132, and Ash-Shura verses 39-43

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi teori ekologi Bronfrenbenner pada pendidikan keluarga yang sesuai dalam Q.S at-Tahrim (66): 6. Metode yang digunakan adalah library research dengan pendekatan teori psikologi dari Bronfrenbenner, yaitu teori ekologi perkembangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teori ekologi pengembangan mengkaji pendidikan anak dengan beberapa pendekatan sub sistem, yaitu; 1) mikrosistem, mengkaji interaksi anak kepada anggota keluarga secara aktif. Keluarga mengajak serta memberikan contoh pendidikan sesuai ajaran agama yang benar, misalnya dalam hal beribadah. 2) ekosistem, mengkaji peran masif anak dalam kehidupan keluarga, misalnya yaitu hubungan internal suami istri yang berpengaruh pada pola interaksi terhadap anak. Sehingga dalam 2 sub sistem teori ekologi Bronfrenbenner, implementasi pada pendidikan keluarga agar terhindar dari api neraka dapat dilakukan dengan membentuk pola komunikasi dan edukasi yang berdasarkan pada ajaran dan syariat agama yang benar

    Perubahan Bunyi Kata Serapan Bahasa Arab dalam Bahasa Indonesia dan Implikasinya pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab

    Every language has its own phonetic characteristics, including Arabic and Indonesian. However, interactions between communities can influence the development and change of language. This influence can be observed through vocabulary that is borrowed and modified from other languages, known as loanwords. In this study, the library research method was used to search and process information. The main sources used were the Arabic-Indonesian Dictionary by Mahmud Yunus and the Al-Munawwir Dictionary by Ahmad Warson Munawwir and Muhammad Fairuz. Meanwhile, secondary data was taken from the Indonesian Language Dictionary (KBBI). Based on the study, it is concluded that the borrowing of words from Arabic to Indonesian undergoes many modifications that are adjusted to the dialect of Indonesian speakers. The borrowing process starts from the spoken language, which is then transformed into the written language. Arabic loanwords in Indonesian have both positive and negative impacts on the learning process. The positive impact is that the presence of loanwords can help facilitate the learning process of other words. This impact can be felt if the sound and usage of the word remain unchanged. Negative impacts can occur if the sound and usage of the word undergo changes and modifications, making it difficult for students to understand the original sound and usage of the word in Arabic
