Study of b-quark mass effects in multijet topologies with the DELPHI detector at LEP
The effect of the heavy b-quark mass on the two, three and four-jet rates is studied using LEP data collected by the DELPHI experiment at the Z peak in 1994 and 1995. The rates of b-quark jets and light quark jets (l=uds) in events with n=2, 3, and 4 jets, together with the ratio of two and four-jet rates of b-quarks with respect to light-quarks, Rn bl, have been measured with a double-tag technique using the CAMBRIDGE jet-clustering algorithm. A comparison between experimental results and theory (matrix element or Monte Carlo event generators such as PYTHIA, HERWIG and ARIADNE) is done after the hadronisation phase. Using the four-jet observable R4 bl, a measurement of the b-quark mass using massive leading-order calculations gives: This result is compatible with previous three-jet determinations at the MZ energy scale and with low energy mass measurements evolved to the MZ scale using QCD renormalisation group equations

Final results of the searches for neutral Higgs bosons in e+ e- collisions at s**(1/2) up to 209-GeV
The final results of the ALEPH search for the Standard Model Higgs boson at LEP, with data collected in the year 2000 at centre-of-mass energies up to 209 GeV, are presented. The changes with respect to the preceding publication are described and a complete study of systematic effects is reported. The findings of this final analysis confirm the preliminary results published in November 2000 shortly after the closing down of the LEP collider: a significant excess of events is observed, consistent with the production of a 115 \Gcs Standard Model Higgs boson. The final results of the searches for the neutral Higgs bosons of the MSSM are also reported, in terms of limits on \mh, \mA and \tanb. Limits are also set on \mh in the case of invisible decays
LEP-AD: Language Embedding of Proteins and Attention to Drugs predicts drug target interactions
Predicting drug-target interactions is a tremendous challenge for drug development and lead optimization. Recent advances include training algorithms to learn drug-target interactions from data and molecular simulations. Here we utilize Evolutionary Scale Modeling (ESM-2) models to establish a Transformer protein language model for drug-target interaction predictions. Our architecture, LEP- AD, combines pre-trained ESM-2 and Transformer-GCN models predicting bind-ing affinity values. We report new best-in-class state-of-the-art results compared to competing methods such as SimBoost, DeepCPI, Attention-DTA, GraphDTA, and more using multiple datasets, including Davis, KIBA, DTC, Metz, ToxCast, and STITCH. Finally, we find that a pre-trained model with embedding of proteins (the LED-AD) outperforms a model using an explicit alpha-fold 3D representation of proteins (e.g., LEP-AD supervised by Alphafold). COMPARISON OF PET LEP AND TRADITIONAL MENTAL IMAGERY METHODS IN THE PERFORMANCE OF FOOTBALL GOALKEEPERS
Mental imagery has long been the focus of researchers in sports psychology and motor learning. The purpose of this study is to compare Pet Lep and traditional mental imagery methods in the performance of football goalkeepers. For this purpose, 30 (13 males and 17 females) male and female goalkeepers aged 18 to 30 years were selected as a statistical sample using random cluster sampling. Subjects were divided into three groups and underwent specific exercises. The program of the first group consisted of practical exercises with mental imagery using the Pet Lep method, the second group consisted of practical exercises with mental imagery using the traditional method, and the third group consisted of practical exercises. Then, in the seventh, fourteenth, twenty-first and twenty-eighth sessions, all subjects were given a standard ball test and their learning progress was measured. The collected data were then statistically analyzed by one-factor analysis of variance test and Tukey test. Research findings showed that there is a significant difference in the level of learning the ball skill between Pet Lep mental imagery group and traditional illustration group and traditional illustration group and control group in all three stages of training. Also, a significant difference was observed in the retention of ball skills after one week of training between the Pet Lep mental imaging group and the traditional and control mental imaging groups. Finally, it is suggested that sports coaches and trainers use the Pet Lep imaging method in appropriate situations. Article visualizations
Search for Neutral MSSM Higgs Bosons at LEP
The four LEP collaborations, ALEPH, DELPHI, L3 and OPAL, have searched for the neutral Higgs bosons which are predicted within the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). the data of the four collaborations are statistically combined and examined for their consistency with the background hypothesis and for a possible Higgs boson signal. The combined LEP data show no significant excess of events which would indicate the production of Higgs bosons. The search results are thus used to set upper bounds on the cross sections of various Higgs-like event topologies. The results are interpreted within the MSSM for a number of "benchmark" models, including CP-conserving and CP-violating scenarios. In all cases these interpretations lead to large exclusions in the MSSM parameter space. In some scenarios absolute limits are set on the masses of neutral Higgs bosons

Starspots on the active young solar-type star AH Lep
Young solar-type stars inform us about the early evolution of objects that form a major component of the stellar population of our galaxy.
Single active young solar-type stars close to the Sun’s mass also provide us with proxies for the Sun’s early history, its activity and underlying magnetic dynamo.
The active young solar-type star AH Lep provides a convenient target to image its magnetic activity in detail.
AH Lep is of particular interest because of its relatively modest rotation rate (v sin i = 28 km s-1) compared with other previously studied active stars; in other words, this star represents the opportunity to study the effects of rotation on the dynamo of young solar-type stars.
This thesis investigates the starspot features and magnetic field of AH Lep using the techniques of Doppler and Zeeman Doppler Imaging, resulting in a tomographic map of the star and magnetic field detections.
In contrast to the large polar spot features of more rapidly rotating active solar-type stars, mid-latitude starspots predominate on AH Lep. At the time of observation at least, AH Lep displayed little in the way of a polar spot and instead showed large spot features more reminiscent of the Sun today than the polar spot dominated appearance of rapid and ultrarapid rotators. Total spot coverage (3.3%) is not small but is significantly less than that of rapid rotators.
The magnetic field of AH Lep was detected in a number of observations and a tentative magnetic map was constructed. More observations under the most favourable conditions are needed to investigate more fully the magnetic topology of the star
