Com base nos textos da jornalista e de uma entrevista exclusiva concedida à pesquisadora, o trabalho visou compreender quais são os principais diferenciais em seu fazer jornalístico e de que forma as etapas que precedem o texto refletem em suas reportagens. Através dos resultados obtidos na pesquisa, foi possível identificar como e por quê Eliane desenvolve um trabalho diferenciado, que já lhe rendeu mais de 40 prêmios de reportagem

No full textO autor trata da importância do trabalho pedagógico a partir da imprensa escrita. Salienta a dinamicidade e a interação que o jornal propicia entre o aluno e os grandes temas da atualidade. Destaca também que este trabalho não pode ser desenvolvido de forma ingênua, tomando o jornal da mesma forma que se toma o livro didático. É preciso que o professor tenha consciência dos processos de edição dos fatos e que, assim como o livro didático, cada jornal transmite um ponto de vista sobre a realidade. O autor ressalta, ainda, ser exatamente este o trabalho mais importante que o professor tem a fazer, ou seja, portar-se como mediador cultural entre os anseios de seus alunos e a complexidade dos fatos sociais.Palavras-chave: The author deals with the importance of pedagogical work using printed press. Emphasis is given to the dynamics and to the interaction the newspaper allows there to be between the student and current affairs. It also stresses that this work cannot be carried out in naïvely, giving the same consideration to the newspaper as is given to textbooks. Teachers must be aware of the processes involved in fact editing and that, as is the case with school books, each newspaper transmits its own point of view on reality. The author also claims this is the most important work the teacher can do: act as a cultural mediator between his/her students’ desires and the complexity of social facts
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Por que humanizar o jornalismo (?)
Get PDFO ponto de vista que proponho já no título deste trabalho visa contribuir para a reflexão sobre o papel do Jornalismo. Neste artigo, de caráter ensaístico, procuro questionar se o Jornalismo, como um dos meios de socialização, tem também como missão humanizar. Abordo aqui pelo menos três situações que me levam a acreditar na necessidade de humanizar o Jornalismo, quais sejam: (i) quando caricaturiza o ser humano, (ii) quando ignora a complexidade do fenômeno, (iii) quando não reconhece o Outro. Para tanto, trago à discussão as influências do pensamento social moderno no Jornalismo com base nas ideias de Boaventura de Sousa Santos (2002, 2010) e de Edgar Morin (2006). Ao considerar a responsabilidade e a importância dos modelos jornalísticos para a compreensão do tema, desenvolvo uma crítica a partir de estudos de Cremilda Medina (2008).Palavras-chave: jornalismo e sociedade, teorias do jornalismo, epistemologia, humanização.The view that I propose, hinted at in the title of this work, aims to contribute to a reflection on the role of Journalism. In this essay, I try to question whether journalism, as one a means of socialization, also has the mission of humanizing. Here, I approach at least three situations that have led me to believe in the need to humanize journalism, namely: (i) when journalism caricatures the human being, (ii) when it ignores the complexity of the phenomenon, (iii) when it does not recognize the Other. For this reflection and based on the ideas of Boaventura de Sousa Santos (2002, 2010) and Edgar Morin (2006), I bring to discussion the influences of modern social thought in Journalism. In considering the responsibility and importance of journalistic models for understanding the theme, I develop a critique based on studies by Cremilda Medina (2008).Keywords: journalism and society, theories of journalism, epistemology, humanization
