    NARASI PENDIDIKAN DARI TANAH BETAWI: Pemikiran Sayyid Usman tentang Etika Akademik

    Abstrak: Studi ini mengkaji pemikiran Sayyid Usman tentang etika pendidikan dalam perspektif Islam. Studi ini perlu dilakukan mengingat belum banyak studi tentang tokoh lokal dari Nusantara yang berkontribusi dalam bidang pendidikan Islam. Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian kepustakaan yang mengandalkan metode analisis isi, dan mengajukan temuan bahwa Sayyid Usman menulis sebuah karya dalam bidang etika yang berjudul Âdâb al-Insân. Kitab ini relatif kurang diteliti dalam sudut pandang pendidikan Islam. Berdasarkan telaah terhadap naskah Nusantara ini, penulisnya menegaskan bahwa pendidikan merupakan solusi utama dalam rangka memperbaiki adab orang-orang jahat dengan mengajarkan serangkaian adab yang melingkupi aspek kepribadian, sosial dan profesionalitas. Studi ini berkontribusi dalam penguatan gugusan literatur dalam bidang pendidikan Islam mengingat tidak banyak tokoh Nusantara yang dikenalkan dan dikaji di perguruan tinggi Islam.Abstract: Paedagogical Narrative from Betawi Land: Sayyid Usman’s Thoughts on Educational Ethics. This study examines Sayyid Usman’s thinking concerning the ethics of education in an Islamic perspective. This study is necessary considering the scarcity of research on local scholars who have contributed to the field of Islamic education. This article is the result of library research that relies on the method of content analysis, and proposes findings that Sayyid Usman wrote a work in the field of ethics, entitled Âdâb al-Insân. This book is relatively under-researched in the perspective of Islamic education. Based on a review of this archipelago script, the author emphasizes that education is the main solution in improving the ethics of bad people by teaching a series of âdâb which covers aspects of personality, social and professionalism.     Islamic legal discourse on a practical level is often understood to be limited to the problem of istinbÄt, fiqh or ushul fiqh. There is a challenge to expand it to include philosophy, normative and empirical cases. Study of manuscript is one of the related by that studies. This article presents TanqÄ«h al-ZunÅ«n ‘an MasÄ'il al-MaimÅ«n by Shaykh Hasan Maksum as an identifier of the political and social links to Islamic legal in the Deli Sultanate. From this it was found that the sultanate had a stake in the determination of the law as well as the role of the ulama in maintaining the attitude as a speaker of legal provisions. There are seven legal issues that are discussed normatively, and they originate from the existence of arguments in the community. This manuscript not just addition Islamic legal in the Deli Sultanate, it also showed the authority of Shaykh Hasan Maksum as a 'brilliant star' scholar in legal matters, although it was rarely discussed and raised at the research level

    The discussion on teacher ethics has been the subject of discussion among Muslim scholars and scholars and has generated many insights including the views of the great scholars Sayyid Usman. He is a Muslim scholar who has done extensive research in Islamic Education. This paper attempts to address Sayyid Usman's perspective on teacher ethics. It is in his view that, personally, the teacher should be sincere, wara', zuhud, tawadhu', not 'say, no takabur, not riyâ', and not malicious. A teacher must master the material he teaches, know the requirements of knowledge, and even know where to find the knowledge he has, and practice it. So that a teacher can teach the knowledge he has to the learners with the aim of not only being good in the eyes of the religion but also good in the customs of his country. As a result, efforts to improve the quality of a teacher need to be constantly developed. Therefore, the rules of the Indonesian Teacher Ethics Code should be of concern for the creation of the best generation of the nation's successor

    Kajian tentang waris merupakan kajian yang sangat berlimpah sumbernya dalam hukum Islam, selain ketentuan ayat dan hadist waris terbilang lebih lengkap dibandingkan masalah hukum lainnya. Seluruh buku fiqh klasik maupun kontemporer selalu memasukkan waris sebagai bagian kelengkapan pembahasan. Kajian lapangan berikut ini sudah tentu tidak hanya membahas masalah waris dari perspektif doktrin semata, melainkan juga sikap masyarakat adat portibi Julu Sumatera Utara menyikapi hukum waris Islam sebagai bagian dari ketentuan adat mereka.    Proses penelitian menemukan bahwa bagian waris bagi anak angkat pada masyarakat Batak di desa Portibi Julu ditetapkan ketika pengangkatan anak (mangain) berlangsung. Anak angkat mendapatkan waris sebagaimana anak kandung, baik dalam persoalan jumlah maupun waktu pembagian. Walaupun terkesan menyimpang dari ketentuan hukum Islam, anak angkat menutup (hijab) ahli waris lainnya dalam mewarisi hal ini disebabkan anak angkat telah terputus hak warisnya dari orang tua kandungnya

    Skripsi ini merupakan hasil penelitian lapangan (field research) untuk menjawab pertanyaan bagaimana pelaksanaan waris adat di desa Portibi Julu, terkhusus dalam permasalahan anak angkat, untuk kemudian menganalisisnya melalui tinjauan Hukum Islam yang terdapat dalam kitab-kitab klasik pemikiran para ulama. Penelitian yang diadakan di desa Portibi Julu tersebut menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara dengan tokoh adat, pemuka agama dan tokoh masyarakat. Data juga dikumpulkan melalui observasi di lingkungan masyarakat desa Portibi Julu serta pengumpulan referensi berupa buku-buku dan segala sesuatu yang berkaitan dengan judul penelitian. Setelah data terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan pola pikir deduktif. Penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan waris adat di desa Portibi Julu mengedepankan anak laki-laki meskipun anak tersebut adalah anak angkat (anak nanian). Anak angkat yang mayoritas adalah laki-laki akan mendapatkan waris sebagaimana anak kandung dengan proses yang tidak berbeda dengan proses pembagian waris anak kandung lainnya. Penetapan anak angkat sebagai ahli waris berada saat pengangkatan anak tersebut menjadi keluarga. Bagian waris anak angkat akan menghilangkan (hijab) bagian waris keluarga pewaris ke samping. Pengangkatan anak juga menghapus bagian waris anak angkat dari orang tua kandungnya. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyebutkan bahwa pengangkatan anak dan penetapan waris Adat pada masyarakat Batak di desa Portibi Julu, bertentangan dengan ketent uan Hukum Islam yang melarang pengangkatan anak dengan maksud mengubah nasab kekeluargaan yang berdampak pada terlarangnya anak kandung menerima waris. Anak angkat juga tidak berhak untuk menghapus bagian waris keluarga pewaris ke samping. Bagian waris untuk anak angkat juga tidak menghapus bagian waris baginya dari orang tua kandung. Hal ini didasarkan pada ketentuan dalam surat al-Ahzab ayat 4-5 dan ayat 37 tentang peristiwa pengangkatan Zayd bin Harisah oleh Nabi Muhammad SAW. Namun demikian, sebagai saran, peninjauan masalah tersebut dengan faktor sosiologis yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini, dengan melihat latar belakang pendidikan, ekonomi, agama serta adat istiadat dan kebiasaan yang berlangsung di desa Portibi Julu, perlu kiranya dengan menggunakan pendekatan konsep istihsan agar tidak terjadi benturan yang dapat menimbulkan konflik berkepanjangan antara agama dan adat-istiadat masyarakat setempat di desa Portibi Julu

    This study examines al-hikâyah in Islamic religious learning. Although this practice overlaps with qissah and storytelling, it has its own unique character because it is considered as character building and educational ideal formation. This study is constructed by giving priority to stories as a learning tradition in Islam, so as to provide a fundamental view that stories, descriptions or a wealth of vocabulary and expressions are something special that emerges from the Islamic educational environment. Then, the argument is put forward that the teacher is the central figure in the organization of education, without whose authority simultaneous, continuous and sustainable education would not take place from time to time. In this section, it is argued that the ability to tell stories is a skill that a teacher, who is charged with character building or transmitting educational ideals, should possess. The final section discusses the implementation of al-hikâyah as a method of character formation and pedagogical idealism and transforms the ability to teach it effectively into a teacher competence that can be further optimized from time to time

    Discourses on hadith in the Prophet's time and His companions are important in initiating study ulum al-hadith. This is because one of the function of hadith as the explanatory verses of the Koran. This article will try to elaborate some approaches of library research in ulum al-hadith (1) How the companions received, memorized applied those hadith in their life. (2) Commands and prohibitions were not generalized to all companions in writing hadith. (3) The maintenance of hadits at the companions era from lost and also from mingled with Qur'an. (4) Distributed those hadith to the vast area of Islam at the time (5) All narrators of hadith to be agreed by scholars as good people and behavior. (6) there were some criteria of fairness for companions (‘adÄlah al-á¹£aḥÄbah), namely, Muslims, maturity, intelligent, piety, selfrespect, avoiding him self from cases of fasiq, to be acknowledge their fairness, and free from criticism of scholars

    This report is a portrait of the digitalization of Arabic education at Pesantren Ar-Raudlatul Hasanah, which is conceived as a movement to increase students' enthusiasm for learning and institutional adaptation to technological developments and digitalization. This report based on on other research on personalized learning as a motivation for parents to send their children to Islamic boarding schools during Covid-19, this report encourages Islamic boarding schools to consider learning methods that appeal to millennial students. This article is prepared using field research methods to find that digitalizing Arabic learning can create presentation media in the form of PowerPoint that increases students' enthusiasm for learning. This finding is seen as a new scientifically proven story about the adaptation of Islamic boarding schools to current development
