    Standpipe systems for fire protection

    This important new manual goes beyond the published NFPA standards on installation of standpipe systems to include the rules in the International Building Code, municipal fire codes, the National Fire Code of Canada, and information on inspection, testing, and maintenance of standpipe systems. Also covered are the interactions between standpipe and sprinkler systems, since these important fire protection systems are so frequently installed together. Illustrated with design examples and practical applications to reinforce the learning experience, this is the go-to reference for engineers, architects, design technicians, building inspectors, fire inspectors, and anyone that inspects, tests or maintains fire protection systems. Fire marshals and plan review authorities that have the responsibility for reviewing and accepting plans and hydraulic calculations for standpipe systems are also an important audience, as are firefighters who actually use standpipe systems.     The objectives of this research include: 1) To determine the influence of the teaching factory learning model on the communicative abilities of class Sampang, and 3) To determine the effect of the teaching factory learning model on the communicative and collaborative abilities of class XI students majoring in Mechanical Engineering at SMK Negeri 2 Sampang. This research is a quantitative experimental research where the researcher made all class XI TP students as research subjects, namely class XI TP-1 students as many as 32 male students as the control group and class. Researchers used communicative questionnaires and collaborative questionnaires. Based on the results of the analysis using the MANOVA analysis technique, it was concluded that: 1) There is an influence of the teaching factory learning model on the communicative abilities of class SMK Negeri 2 Sampang, and 3) There is an influence of the teaching factory learning model on the communicative and collaborative abilities of class XI students majoring in Mechanical Engineering at SMK Negeri 2 Sampang

    This type of research used in this study is the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 1 meeting. Each cycle consists of four sides, namely planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Data collection techniques using tests and observations. The results of this study indicate how an increase in teacher skills, student activities and student learning outcomes in learning civics norm material through Inquiry learning methods in class VIIID students at UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Bangkalan. In cycle I, the average teacher skills gained 3.11 (good), the second cycle increased to 3.22 (good). In cycle I the average activity of students was 18.1 (enough), cycle II increased to 28 (good). Based on the value of learning outcomes obtained in the first cycle the average value obtained by students is 61.07. In cycle II the average value achieved by students becomes 75.09. Thus it can be concluded that by learning inquiry in Civics learning can improve teacher skills, student activities, and learning outcomes in class VIIID students of SMP Negeri 5 Bangkalan. The Inquiry Method improves the quality of learning so that it can be applied to other lessons

    The use and selection of learning methods is an important role in the teaching and learning process. The teacher plays a major role in determining the content and steps in delivering material to students. Things that underlie this research include the lack of interest in learning human rights material and the lack of motivation for students to improve learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the lecture method in improving student learning outcomes in human rights subjects. This research uses quantitative methods. Quantitative method is a research method in the form of numbers because it uses mathematical symbols related to variables, as well as correlation and direct observation with research objects. This method emphasizes objective phenomena, the design of this study uses numbers, statistical processing, structure and controlled experiments. The results of this study are lecture methods in improving student learning outcomes in human rights subjects in class VIII at MTs Miftahul Mubtadiin Kajjan Blega Bangkalan that there is an influence. This is proven based on data analysis performed using the product moment formula with the calculated value obtained from the correlation coefficient (r) of 1.97 greater than r work, both at the level of 1% sigification with a value of 0.344 or at 5% significance with value of 0.442. The effect is classified as very strong or very high, this is based on "r" with a value of 1.97 which is located above the number 1.00 which the interpretation is very strong or very high. Thus, the research hypothesis (Ha) proposed can be accepted meaning that there is an effect of the lecture method in improving student learning outcomes in human rights subjects in class VIII at MTs Miftahul Mubtadiin Kajjan Blega Bangkalan 2018-2019 academic year

    This study aims to determine the effectiveness of discussion learning methods in improving student learning outcomes in Civic Education subjects in class VII MTs Nurul Karomah. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research. The object of this study was students of MTs Nurul Karomah, Paterongan Village, Galis District, Bangkalan Regency. The sample of this study was grade VII MTs Nurul Karomah Galis District Bangkalan with a total of 73 students. Data analysis was performed using the lesson plan implementation sheet, student activity observation sheets, student response questionnaires and learning achievement tests. The results of the study of the implementation of the RPP on learning Civics using the discussion method carried out very well with the results of the percentage of 78.75. Student activities during the discussion learning took place said to be in a very good category with the achievement of a scale of 78.75. Questionnaire responses of students earned 88.3 means that students gave very positive responses to learning using the discussion method. This means that the activities carried out by students are classified as effective or the learning that has been carried out is able to stimulate students to actively learn in class by using learning discussion methods. Student learning outcomes that have been achieved after a test with KKM 75 using learning methods of discussion are said to be effective because the number of students who complete reaches a percentage of 94.44%. The conclusion from the research that has been done, that the discussion learning method in MTs Nurul Karomah Galis sub-district of Bangkalan district has been effective in improving student learning outcomes in PPKn subjects. This can be seen the teaching and learning process carried out by Civics teachers and the learning outcomes achieved by students both and have increased

Dalam Kompetensi Dasar perhitungan luas permukaan bangun gabungan adalah hal yang dianggap mempunyai tingkat kesulitan yang tinggi. Untuk itulah diperlukan sebuah media animasi interaktif Geo Gebra yaitu sebuah aplikasi matematika bersumber terbuka yang dirancang khusus untuk tujuan pendidikan. Model pembelajaran Explicit Instruction adalah suatu pendekatan pembelajaran yang dirancang khusus untuk menunjang proses belajar siswa yang berkaitan dengan pengetahuan deklaratif dan  prosedural yang tersruktur dengan baik yang diajarkan dengan pola selangkah demi selangkah.  Dengan menggunakan media animasi interaktif dan model pembelajaran explicit instructiondapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika utamanya pada perhitungan luas permukaan kubus dan balok

    In this study to determine the interaction of Rhythmic Gymnastics Video Learning Media on Cooperation and Accuracy of PGRI Gymnastics Movements of Class VII Students at SMPN 1 Labang. By using rhythmic gymnastics video learning media, it is hoped that students will be able to demonstrate cooperation and accuracy of movement towards PGRI Gymnastics material in class VII at SMPN 1 Labang. The sample used in this study was Class VII A of SMPN 1 Labang, each consisting of 32 students. Based on the recapitulation table, an increase in the value of the five aspects tested in experiments 1 to 4 was obtained. This study is strengthened by the analysis test conducted by the researcher which can be seen the t value = 5.463 with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 which means there is a real (significant) increase in the Trust variable (X) against the Y variable

    Penelitian ini dirancang menggunakan pendekatan ekperimen kuasi dengan desain factorial sederhana 2 x 2. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA kelas X Blega Bangkalan. Siswa yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 77 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu instrument test hasil belajar mata pelajaran Biologi dan angket motivasi berprestasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif dan motorik model pembelajaran Discovery lebih tinggi yang dibuktikan dengan nilai rerata (kognitif 78,03 dan motorik 76,24) dibandingkan pembelajaran ekspositori (kognitif 71, 49 dan motorik 73, 23). 2) kelompok siswa yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi tinggi mempunyai keunggulan rerata hasil belajar kognitif dan motorik (koognitif 77,65 dan motorik 76,60) lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan siswa yang memiliki motivasi rendah (kognitif 71, 54 dan motorik 72, 68). 3) tidak ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan motivasi berprestasi menunjukkan jika variabel bebas (model pembelajaran) dan variebel moderator (motivasi berprestasi) lebih membawa pengaruh-pengaruh terpisah yang signifikan terhadap variabel terikat, atau masing-masing variabel bebas mempunyai pengaruh utama yang signifikan

    Mengingat pentingnya peran mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, mata pelajaran tersebut diwajibkan dalam kurikulum pendidikan dasar sampai dengan pendidikan tinggi. Oleh sebab itu, pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan harus mampu dikemas dengan baik oleh guru agar mampu mencapai tujuan yang mulia dalam mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa yang berkarakter berdasarkan Pancasila dan Undang-undang Dasar 1945. Tujuan penelitian ini antara lain: 1) mengetahui minat baca siswa kelas VIII Di Mts Saiful Ulum Tanjungbumi, 2) mengetahui budaya literasi Di Mts Saiful Ulum Tanjungbumi, dan 3) mengetahui pengaruh budaya literasi dan minat baca secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar PPKn kelas VIII Di Mts Saiful Ulum Tanjungbumi. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik penelitiann ekperimen. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 52 siswa kelas VIII MTs Saiful Ulum Tanjungbumi. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi, angket, dan soal tes yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik dengan rumus t-test  satu sampel dan korelasi ganda. Berdasarkan analisis menggunakan teknik statistik diperoleh kesimpulan penelitian, antara lain: 1) Minat baca siswa kelas VIII Di Mts Saiful Ulum Tanjungbumi minimal cukup tinggi, 2) Budaya literasi terhadap hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas VIII Di Mts Saiful Ulum Tanjungbumi minimal cukup baik, dan 3) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara budaya literasi dan minat baca secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar PPKn kelas VIII Di Mts Saiful Ulum Tanjungbum

    Pembelajaran dalam kurikulum 2013 menitikberatkan pada proses bukan hanya hasil, dalam prosesnya ada 4 hal yang diperoleh siswa dari setiap mata pelajaran, yaitu sikap, keterampilan, pengetahuan dan perilaku. Melalui keempat aspek tersebut diharapkan siswa tidak hanya pandai tetapi juga memiliki keterampilan yang nanti pasti akan dibutuhkan di masa mendatang. Tujuan penelitian ini antara lain untuk membuktikan: 1) fasilitas laboratorium komputer kelas XI Akuntansi di SMKN 3 Bangkalan, 2) penguasaan komputer siswa kelas XI Akuntansi di SMKN 3 Bangkalan, 3) penguasaan akuntasi siswa kelas XI Akuntansi di SMKN 3 Bangkalan, 4) efikasi diri siswa kelas XI Akuntansi di SMKN 3 Bangkalan, dan 5) pengaruh penguasaan komputer dan efikasi diri terhadap hasil belajar komputer akuntansi accurate siswa kelas XI Akuntansi di SMK Negeri 3 Bangkalan. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif karena semua data penelitian berbentuk kuantitatif. Penelitian mengumpulkan berbagai data variabel penelitian menggunakan instrumen yan telah dinyatakan valid dan variabel. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh, dianalisis menggunakan statistik dengan rumus korelasi product moment dan korelasi ganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan, antara lain: 1) fasilitas laboratorium komputer siswa kelas XI Akuntansi di SMKN 3 Bangkalan cukup baik, 2) penguasaan komputer siswa kelas XI Akuntansi di SMKN 3 Bangkalan cukup baik, 3) penguasaan akuntasi siswa kelas XI Akuntasi di SMK 3 Bangkalan cukup baik, 4) efikasi diri siswa kelas XI SMKN 3 Bangkalan cukup baik, dan 5) pengaruh Penguasaan Komputer dan Efikasi Diri terhadap Hasil Belajar Komputer Akuntansi Accurate Siswa Kelas XI Akuntansi di SMK Negeri 3 Bangkala
