    Naskah drama “RT NOL RW NOL” karya Iwan Simatupang berisi tentang perjuangan sekelompok manusia melepas statusnya sebagai tunawisma dan memberi makna dalam hidup masing-masing. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengkaji karakteristik dimensional dan eksistensi tokoh dalam naskah drama tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dan sumber data penelitian ini adalah dialog (hauptext) dan teks samping (nabentext) dalam naskah drama “RT NOL RW NOL” karya Iwan Simatupang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca dan tulis. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teori karakteristik dimensional dan teori eksistensialisme Albert Camus. Hasil dari penelitian ini: (1) karakteristik dimensional tokoh terbentuk dari faktor internal dan eksternal. Kedua faktor tersebut dapat dilihat dari dimensi fisiologis dan sosiologis tokoh. Karakteristik dimensional tokoh menunjukkan gambaran jenis tunawisma. Tokoh kakek dan si pincang sebagai tunawisma yang lemah dan bekerja sebagai pengemis. Tokoh Ani, Ina, dan Bopeng sebagai tunawisma yang menghalalkan keburukan sebagai pekerjaan. Tokoh Ati sebagai gambaran seseorang yang akan menjadi tunawisma; (2) eksistensi tokoh dikategorikan menjadi dua: pemenang dan pecundang. Tokoh kakek, si pincang, Ina, Bopeng, dan Ati sebagai pemenang karena berhasil melawan penderitaan masing-masing. Tokoh Ani sebagai pecundang karena melakukan bunuh diri secara filsafat dalam menghadapi penderitaannya. Berdasarkan analisis naskah drama “RT NOL RW NOL” karya Iwan Simatupang, naskah drama tersebut memiliki relevansi dengan kehidupan abad ke-21 ini.     This study discusses the application of existentialism philosophy to the Bulan Bujur Sangkar manuscript embraced by Iwan Simatupang and describes Iwan Simatupang\u27s social background which proves the existence of an existentialist philosophy school. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with an expressive approach to represent the author\u27s emotions and messages in his work. The object of this research is the script of the drama Bulan Bujur Squarer by Iwan Simatupang. The collection technique in this study is a literature study. For the technique of analyzing data, use the technique of watching and taking notes. The results of the discussion found that the philosophy of existentialism embraced by Iwan Simatupang in the Bulan Bujur Sangkar Manuscript was proven in intrinsic and extrinsic elements. It is evident in the analysis of Iwan Simatupang\u27s existentialism which is reflected in the figure of the Parents. The ideology of the Old Man who has a free life of thought, has no boundaries like existentialism that upholds freedom of thought and action accompanied by responsibility

    Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketertarikan peneliti menganalisis eksistensialisme manusia dalam novel Kooong karya Iwan Simatupang. Masalah khususnya adalah bagaimanakah kejujuran, kehilangan, kehendak bebas, kecemasan dan rasa bersalah yang terdapat dalam novel Kooong karya Iwan Simatupang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan masalah penelitian. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode dekriptif dengan bentuk kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah sosiologi sastra. Sumber data berbentuk novel berjudul Kooong karya Iwan Simatupang yang terdiri atas 100 halaman. Data penelitian adalah eksistensialisme manusia yang tercermin dalam bentuk kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang terdapat dalam novel Kooong karya Iwan Simatupang. Hasil penelitian yaitu: 1) kejujuran ditemukan melalui tokoh masinis, Pak Lurah, dan burung perkutut; 2) kehilangan ditemukan melalui tokoh Pak Sastro, penduduk desa, dan Ibu pemilik warung; 3) kehendak bebas ditemukan melalui tokoh Pak Sastro, penduduk desa, burung perkutut; 4) kecemasan ditemukan melalui tokoh kawan baik Pak Sastro, Pak Lurah dan Pak Sastro; 5) rasa bersalah ditemukan melalui tokoh masinis, Pak Lurah, penduduk desa. Kata kunci: eksistensialisme, novel Kooong. Abstract: This research is back grounded by the writer’s interest to analyzedthe human existentialism in the novel Kooong by Iwan Simatupang.  The main problem is how does the honesty, lost, freewill, anxiety and guilt contained in the novel Kooong by Iwan Simatupang. The purpose of this study is to describe the research problems. The method of this research is descriptive method in form of qualitative. The approach of this research is bellesletter sociology. The source of this research is a novel entitled Kooong, a novel by Iwan Simatupang consist of 100 pages. Data of this research are human existentialism which is reflected in the form of words, phrases, and sentences contained in the work of Iwan Simatupang Kooong novel. The results of the research are: 1) honesty found through machinist figures, Mr. Lurah, and doves; 2) the loss was discovered through Mr. Sastro, villagers, and Mrs. owner of the stall; 3) free will is found through Mr. Sastro, villagers, doves; 4) anxiety was found through a good friend of Mr. Sastro figures, Mr. Lurah and Mr. Sastro; 5) guilt is found through machinist figures, Mr. Lurah, and villagers.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan struktur naskah drama RT Nol RW Nol karya Iwan Simatupang sebagai unsur intrinsik yang dibatasi dengan tema, alur, tokoh, dialog, dan latar, (2) mendeskripsikan subjek kolektif dengan menggunakan kajian strukturalisme genetik, (3) mendeskripsikan fakta kemanusiaan dengan menggunakan kajian strukturalisme genetik, (4) mendeskripsikan pandangan dunia berdasarkan ideologi pengarang dengan menggunakan kajian strukturalisme genetik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan dialektik sebagai metode dari strukturalisme genetik Lucien Goldmann. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori strukturalisme genetik Lucien Goldmann untuk mengetahui latar belakang penciptaan tulisan dalam naskah drama RT Nol RW Nol karya Iwan Simatupang berdasarkan konteks sosial. Diketahui bahwa tokoh-tokoh dalam naskah merupakan kelompok gelandangan yang tinggal di kolong jembatan dan berkaitan dengan budaya perkotaan. Subjek kolektif dalam naskah menunjukkan bahwa pengarang termasuk kategori kelas menengah bawah dan kelompok sastrawan 70-an yang memiliki karakteristik karya dengan tema isu-isu tanah air. Isu yang diangkat oleh Iwan Simatupang adalah kemiskinan dan gelandangan. Isu ini juga dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan sekitar yaitu lingkungan sosial, budaya, dan politik pada masa orde lama sekitar tahun 1945-1966 sebagai fakta kemanusiaan dalam naskah. Hubungan antara subjek kolektif dan fakta kemanusiaan menghasilkan pandangan eksistensialisme sebagai pandangan dunia pengarang, meliputi ketidakpastian dan kekhawatiran, pencarian makna hidup, serta kritik terhadap norma sosial dan budaya. **** This research aims to (1) describe the structure of the script RT Nol RW Nol by Iwan Simatupang as an intrinsic element defined by theme, plot, characters, dialogue, and setting, (2) describe the collective subject using genetic structuralism analysis, (3) describe human facts using genetic structuralism analysis, and (4) describe the worldview based on the author’s ideology using genetic structuralism analysis. This research employs a qualitative descriptive and dialectical method as the methodology of Lucien Goldmann’s genetic structuralism. The theory used in this study is Lucien Goldmann’s genetic structuralism to understand the background of the writing creation in the script RT Nol RW Nol by Iwan Simatupang based on the social context. It is found that the characters in the script are a group of homeless people living under a bridge, related to urban culture. The collective subject in the script indicates that the author belongs to the lower middle class and the 70s literally group, characterized by works with themes of national issues. The issue raised by Iwan Simatupang is poverty and homelessness. This issue is also influenced by the surrounding environment, namely the social, cultural, and political environment during the old order era around 1945-1966 as human facts in the script. The relationship between the collective subject and human facts produces existentialism as author’s worldview, including uncertainty and anxiety, the search for life’s meaning, and criticism of social and cultural norms

    Ciliwung River Normalization Analysis using HEC-RAS Application (TB. Simatupang Bridge to Bidara Cina)

    Ciliwung River area which starts from TB. Simatupang Bridge to Bidara Cina is one of the areas that experienced severe flooding.This is caused by changes or conversion of land functions which were originally a water catchment area into settlements. Buildings that stand along the river body makes the current cross section of the Ciliwung River unable to function optimally in accommodating flood discharges. In addition, there is no public awareness in protecting the environment, it can be seen from the large piles of garbage on the riverside of the Ciliwung River.One of the efforts made by the government in flood control is river normalization, but in practice the normalization of the Ciliwung River can be said to be not running optimally. The purpose of this research is : the Author want to know how big the capacity of Ciliwung River existing cross section (starting from TB Simatupang Bridge to Bidara Cina) using Hec-Ras software application to modeling the river's cross section existing and so does recording and mapping ofpotentialflood locations. Based on the hydrology calculation, known that flood discharge plan Q25is 404.3m3/s, while the hydraulic Q is only 79.03 m3/s, the Q total is 483,38 m3/s. The results of modeling using the Hec-Ras river cross section existingcannot accommodate the planned flood discharge so that river normalization efforts are needed. Recording and mapping flood locations are useful to get the effectivity of River's normalization according to flood controlling at Ciliwung River (specific at TB Simatupang Bridge to Bidara Cina)

    Organisasi punguan marga Simatupang ini merupakan salah satu oraganisasi marga yang terdapat di Surabaya. Marga Simatupang terdiri dari tiga cabang marga yaitu, Togatorop, Sianturi dan Siburian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini dalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana fungsi dari organisasi marga ini bagi setiap anggota. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan beberapa tahapan diantaranya metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desikriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, kemudian tahapan selanjutnya adalah metode pengumpulan data dengan teknik observasi (pengamatan), wawancara , selain itu peneliti juga menggunakan kamera, perekam suara sebagai bahan untuk mengumpulkan data. Tahapan yang terakhir adalah untuk menganalisis tentang fungsi punguan Raja Simatupang boru bere di Surabaya dansekitarnya peneliti menggunakan konsep teori fungsional dari Robert K Merton. Hasil pnelitian ini memperoleh temuan bahwa Punguan Raja Simatupang Boru Bere memilki fungsi bagi anggotanya, diantaranya adalah a) untuk melestarikan Adat budaya Batak di perantauan, b) mempererat hubungan kerabat diantara anggota, c) untuk menjaga keutuhan marga Simatupang ditengah kota metropolis Surabaya, d) sebagai wadah untuk kegiatan sosial dan budaya. Seluruh fungsi tersebut sudah mereka rasakan, dan telah dilaksanakan sebagai bentuk kepedulian mereka terhadap budaya Bata

    Hubungan antara Transformational Leadership dan Quality of Work Life dengan Employee Engagement pada Generasi Z

    Generation Z is the generation that's less engaged in the workplace. Transformational leadership and quality of work life are two of the other factors that can affect employee engagement. This research aims to find out the relationship between transformational leadership and the quality of work life simultaneously and partially towards employee engagement. Participants of this research are 60 employees of generation z at PT. Kalimantan Prima Persada. Simple random sampling was used to select employees with the criteria of Generation Z employees and permanent employees. The instrument for data collection used a scale of employee engagement with reliability 0.911, and then a scale of transformational leadership with reliability 0.953, and scale of quality of work life with reliability 0.842. This research using online questionnaires for data collection, and data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression. The result of correlation between variables is R 0.667. The results show that there is a relationship between transformational leadership and the quality of work life both simultaneously and partially towards employee engagement. Therefore, it would be useful for companies to increase their employee engagement

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
