Javanese Women Hybridity: Postcolonial Study of Nyonya Muluk in Damar Kurung Paintings
Get PDFABSTRACTDamar Kurung is a typical lantern of Gresik, made in the 16th century. In 2017 Damar Kurung was declared an intangible cultural heritage by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. Masmundari (1904-2005) was a female artist who painted Damar Kurung based on skills learned from her ancestors. Among Masmundari's many paintings, Nyonya Muluk is the most frequently painted. Nyonya Muluk is described as a big woman wearing a dress and wings. Many people say that Nyonya Muluk is a picture of Queen Wilhemina that Masmundari has seen directly. To uncover Nyonya Muluk's identity, it is necessary to explain the image and meaning of this traditional art, the author uses Bahasa Rupa method (Tabrani, 2012), which analyzes the contents of the wimba, cara wimba, tata ungkapan and how to read wimba. Then, analyzed using postcolonial theory, specifically using the concepts of hybridity and mimicry to find out the identity of Nyonya Muluk. Finally, this research is to produce (1) A description of the relationship between the two cultures (East and West/invaders and colonized) which is manifested in the figure of Nyonya Muluk. Banyak orang mengatakan bahwa Nyonya Muluk adalah gambaran Ratu Wilhemina yang langsung dilihat Masmundari. Untuk mengungkap identitas Nyonya Muluk, perlu menjelaskan gambar dan makna seni lukis tradisi ini, penulis menggunakan metode Bahasa Rupa (Tabrani, 2012), yang menganalisis isi wimba, cara wimba, tata cara dan cara membaca wimba. Kemudian, dianalisis menggunakan teori postkolonial, khususnya menggunakan konsep hibriditas dan mimikri untuk mengetahui identitas Nyonya Muluk. Akhirnya, penelitian menghasilkan (1) Deskripsi hubungan antara dua budaya (Timur dan Barat/penjajah dan terjajah) yang dimanifestasikan dalam sosok Nyonya Muluk. Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to describe the meanings obtained from the results of grammatical interpretation and psychological interpretation of the author towards Syair Abdul Muluk by Ali Haji using Schleiermacher Hermeneutics. The research approach uses a qualitative approach with the hermeneutic method. The data collection technique uses documentation techniques in the form of Syair Abdul Muluk text by Ali Haji. The data analysis technique is done by reading poetry, identifying each event, interpreting the meaning, analyzing the relationships between the elements of poetry, and concluding meaning. Based on the from the research shows that the meaning contained in Syair Abdul Muluk by Ali Haji is that women can play a role like men in maintaining loyalty and achieving goals. Women can also be powerful even though they must condition themselves outside their nature as women. For Raja Ali Haji in the perspective of national culture and society, religion is a binding knot for various social levels in fostering culture

(d. 807 A.H. /1404 A.D.). This text, hitherto largely unexploited,
deals with the history of the Middle East from 522-543/1128-1149.
The voluminous nature of the work was the outcome of a professional
amalgamation of texts taken from early sources. The inclusion in
the text of a great number of quotations from missing earlier sourc. es,
such as the works of Ibn Abi Tayy and Ibn al-Tuwayr, contributes to
the value of the history of Ibn al-Furat.
Part One of the thesis is an introduction to the edited text.
Chapter one is concerned with the author Ibn al-Furat, his life, the
previous scholarly work done on the Tarikh al-Duwal wa'l Muluk, the
MS used in the edition, the sources of Ibn al-Furat's work and how
he used them in composing his own history. - Special attention is
paid to the use made by Ibn al-Furat of non-extant sources. Chapter
Two is a brief summary in English of the contents of the edited text.
Part Two is the edited text itself.
Two appendices follow; these contain the names of persons and
the names of places with a brief definition of each name.
At the end of the thesis two indices are provided to help the
reader to find the references to the names of persons and geographical
sites

The mobilising teacher has an important role in improving the quality of teaching and learning, as well as in developing students' character and creativity. In the Merdeka curriculum, mobilising teachers are expected to act as agents of change who facilitate the exchange of ideas, provide support for fellow teachers, and build an inclusive and supportive learning environment. In this research, mobilising teachers in Bima are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to lead change in teaching and learning practices. through this research, the author uses a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach, which aims to reveal symptoms in a holistic-contextual manner through data collection from a natural setting by utilising the author as a key instrument. The key information in this research is the school principal, teacher activists and students at the State Primary school 21 Tolomundu, Bima City. To collect data the author conducted observations, interviews and documentation. After collecting the data the author directly analyses the data. Based on the results of the study, it shows that increased awareness and understanding of the importance of social and emotional competence, improved student skills in managing emotions, communicating, and working together, changes in school culture towards a more inclusive environment, and improved teaching quality and student engagement. Proses Musyawarah Perencanaan Pembangunan Di Kelurahan Pasar Ambacang Tahun 2017
Get PDFPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari pelaksanaan musyawarah pembangunan kelurahan yang dilakukan di Kelurahan Pasar Ambacang Tahun 2017. Musrenbang tersebut menghasilkan 101 usulan pembangunan dengan 18 rencana pembangunan prioritas yang kemudian diusulkan pada musyawarah perencanaan pembangunan tingkat kecamatan. Peneliti menggunakan konsep panduan penyelenggaraan musyawarah perencanaan pembangunan kelurahan yang dibuat oleh Saeful Muluk dan mengacu kepada UU No.25 Tahun 2004 tentang Sistem Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional untuk melihat bagaimana proses musyawarah perencanaan pembangunan di Kelurahan Pasar Ambacang tahun 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan tipe penelitian deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa semua tahapan dalam pelaksanaan musyawarah perencanaan pembangunan kelurahan tahun 2017 di Kelurahan Pasar Ambacang berjalan dengan baik dengan mengikuti petunjuk teknis yang ada, baik pada tahapan pra-musrenbang, tahapan pelaksanaan musrenbang dan tahapan pasca musrenbang. Temuan lain yang terdapat pada penelitian ini ialah antusiasme dan partisipasi masyarakat yang kurang memuaskan dalam keikutsertaan pada kegiatan musyawarah perencanaan pembangunan kelurahan serta keterbatasan dana yang dimiliki oleh pemerintah daerah menjadi kendala terhadap upaya mewujudkan usulan pembangunan yang dihasilkan pada musrenbang tersebut.

This research was motivated by the implementation of village development deliberations conducted in Pasar Ambacang Village in 2017. The Musrenbang produced 101 proposals for development with 18 priority development plans which were then proposed at the sub-district level development planning meetings. The researcher used the guiding concept of organizing village development planning meetings made by Saeful Muluk and referred to Law No. 25 of 2004 concerning the National Development Planning System to see how the development planning deliberation process in Pasar Ambacang Urban Village in 2017. The study used qualitative research methods of type descriptive research. The results of this study indicate that all stages in the implementation of the 2017 kelurahan development planning meeting in Pasar Ambacang Sub-District are proceeding well by following the existing technical instructions, both at the pre-musrenbang stage, the musrenbang implementation stage and post musrenbang stages. Another finding found in this study is that the enthusiasm and participation of the less satisfying community in participating in the kelurahan development planning meetings and the limited funds owned by the local government were obstacles to efforts to realize the development proposals produced at the musrenbang.

Get PDFChildfree or consciously deciding not to have children and trying to prevent pregnancy with contraception are still a hot topic of debate among Indonesian society. In this paper, the author attempts to elaborate on childfree and contraception from various perspectives, with an emphasis on contemporary jurisprudential viewpoints. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a literature study methodology. To obtain representative data, the researchers collected information from various literary sources and analyzed it using descriptive techniques, resulting in the conclusion that, in general, there is no text that declares it forbidden for individuals to choose a childfree lifestyle or contraception. However, in some cases and perspectives, it can be discouraged (makruh) or even forbidden (haram) if there are reasons beyond the objectives of Islamic law (maqashid al-syari’ah)
