Critical Information Literacy in the Post-Truth Era: A Strategy for Facing Information Flow in Indonesia
No full textInformation literacy in this post-truth era is an important thing that must be understood by the Indonesian society in dealing with the truth and lies of the information obtained. This paper examines through a literature approach about the conception of information literacy in the post-truth era and what strategies must be understood by the information community in Indonesia in dealing with the spread of fake news from various media. This study concludes that critical thinking is an important part of information literacy that must be understood by Indonesian people to face the dynamics of information in the post-truth era. Critical information literacy can help our ability to search, find and use quality information. Thus, the strategy that must be carried out in dealing with the dissemination of information in the post-truth era is to identify the source, check the author, read the entire contents, check the novelty of the writing, check the balance of the information, the authenticity of the information, and always ask the experts when checking the web source.</jats:p
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Full text linkThe aims of the study: (1) To find out how students' learning outcomes in Civics subjects were before using the Mind Mapping method (2) To find out how the Mind Mapping method was applied (3) To find out how students responded after applying the Mind Mapping method. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that: (1) Student learning outcomes before using the Mind Mapping method, namely 4 students who complete or with a percentage of 33.3%. (2) The ability of students after using the Mind Mapping method, namely in the first cycle, there were 7 students who completed or with a percentage of 58.3%. Furthermore, in cycle II, 11 students who completed it or with a percentage of 91.2%. This shows that the ability of students in learning has reached a mastery level of classical learning of 75%. (3) Student responses using the Mind Mapping method in Civics learning were positive. Thus, it can be concluded that using the Mind Mapping method can improve students' abilities in learning Civics
KONSEPSI LONTARA’ PABBURA DAN TIB AL-NABAWIY: KONTINUITAS DAN DISKONTINUITAS TRADISI PENGOBATAN PADA MASYARAKAT BONE
Full text link This study examines the conception of lontara’ pabbura and tib al-nabawiy by seeing its continuity as a tradition of medicine in society. There are three problems to be answered. First, how is the conception of the disease and treatment practices contained in lontara 'pabbura. Second, how medical knowledge in lontara’ pabbura is practiced in the Bugis society; and third, how is the continuity of lontara 'pabbura treatment with tib al-nabawiy. This research is descriptive in nature, using observational methods, document studies, and interviews. The results of the research show that in the Lontara’ Pabbura document there are various information about the causes of disease and what is more differentiating from medical theory is that disease can arise not only because of viruses or bacteria, but because of factors from supernatural forces. In the practice of lontara’-based medicine, there are three forms of treatment carried out namely, through mantras or incantations, herbs, and Islamic prayer. It turns out that at this time, the concern of the Bugis Bone community for lontara pabbura-based treatment is very limited, due to several factors. First, because of the lack of attention to the lontara 'pabbura publication in Bone. Second, public awareness of the importance of medical treatment and Islamic medicine began to open. Third, the stigma of some people towards the method of treatment in lontara’ pabbura which considers something to do with syncretism. Lontara’-based treatment 'began to be excluded or weakened so that it could be said to be threatened. In contrast to tib al-nabawiy treatment, it actually shows signs of continuity that will be increasingly visible and strong in the community of Bone, because of the emergence of tib al-nabawiy-based treatment places openly.
