Periódicos da BC: um periódico sobre periódicos
No full textO acervo de periódicos da Biblioteca Central do CCMN (BC/CCMN), vem tornando-se histórico e parando de crescer. Essa e outras transformações nos impeliram a buscar novos critérios para que rotinas do setor de periódicos continuassem a existir.A contribuição do boletim informativo Periódicos da BC encontra-se na busca pela modernização do setor, condizente com as práticas comunicativas do meio acadêmico contemporâneo, bem como em oferecer um serviço mais eficaz às necessidades da comunidade acadêmica do CCMN.As condições para a elaboração do boletim se apresentaram no retorno ao trabalho presencial, em 2022. Retomar a exposição dos novos fascículos adquiridos pelo acervo tornou-se um desafio porque as novas aquisições dessa coleção diminuíam sensivelmente ano a ano. Após o isolamento social a maior parte das publicações periódicas deixaram de existir no meio impresso. Em 2022 recebemos algumas doações expressivas que foram incorporadas ao acervo, juntamente com as que chegaram durante a pandemia. Mas não eram atuais. Para a continuidade da exposição de periódicos, precisávamos mudar esse critério. Propusemos utilizar o acervo físico como referencial histórico às notícias que estivessem nos meios de comunicação e fossem pertinentes aos cursos do CCMN.Paralelamente, debatemos sobre a migração de suporte dos periódicos e como continuar a oferecê-los no formato digital, com informações que diminuíssem o trabalho de pesquisa do usuário por títulos de relevância para sua área de estudo, e que pudessem ser uma fonte de consulta recorrente e segura em relação à procedência e acesso dos artigos.Ampliamos a ideia com outras seções como o “SiBI Avisa” e o “Fica a dica”, que visam ampliar o repertório de informações relativas à vida acadêmica.A seção “Tesouros da BC” objetiva evidenciar a qualidade do acervo de periódicos a partir de critérios como raridade ou índice de avaliação de qualidade de seus títulos, como Qualis, da Capes. A seção Opinião destinamos à participação de colaborações externas à nossa equipe, que temos buscado construir junto aos docentes de nosso Centro.A divulgação tem sido realizada por mala direta. Utilizamos o “Bit.ly’ para a verificação estatística de acessos. Divulgar para todo o público-alvo pretendido e utilizar softwares a partir de licenças gratuitas de uso, que restringem o acesso a ferramentas e funcionalidades da plataforma têm sido as maiores dificuldades enfrentadas. Biblioteca escolar e pré-escola: implicações no atendimento pelo bibliotecário
No full textO objetivo deste trabalho é identificar as possíveis implicações à biblioteca escolar (BE) e ao bibliotecário desencadeadas pela Emenda Constitucional 59 (EC59). Esta amplia a idade escolar obrigatória, a ser iniciada a partir dos quatro anos de idade, período correspondente ao início da pré-escola. Consideramos a ampliação do atendimento da pré-escola pelas unidades de ensino fundamental como uma possível via de adequação às exigências da EC59 pelos municípios do país. Apoiados na capacidade de intervenção na realidade educacional da EC 59 e da lei 12.244/2010 que universaliza a biblioteca escolar, percebemos a possibilidade da BE ser posta diante da pré-escola. A BE, entendida como instrumento essencial e complementar à educação, deve atender a toda a comunidade escolar, desenvolver a competência informacional, promovendo o aprendizado por toda a vida. Este trabalho se reflete na Educação Infantil principalmente através da mediação da leitura, como forma de viabilizar o contato da criança pequena com o livro e a leitura. O bibliotecário é apresentado como um dos atores envolvidos nesta mediação. A formação deste profissional para esta atuação é posta em questão, especialmente devido às peculiaridades concernentes à Educação Infantil
META-ANALYSIS OF PHYTOGENIC ADDITIVES FOR BROILERS
Get PDFPhytogenic additives have been studied intensively in broiler chickens’ production to substitute growth-promoting antibiotics. However, the comprehensive literature on this topic makes it difficult to understand overall results because there are a noticeable number of studies with conflicting conclusions. While several research studies have shown that phytogenic additives may increment broiler chicken’s performance, others make the opposite evident. This study aimed to organize and understand information through meta-analysis considering a great number of publications and the factors that may interfere in the results of phytogenic additives, evaluating whether phytogenic additives can be used as a performance-enhancing additive for broilers, comparing with the effectiveness of growth-promoting antibiotics. The main factor that interferes in the evaluation of phytogenic additives is the microbiological challenge. Apparent metabolizable energy values of n-6 and n-3 rich lipid sources for laying hens
Get PDFThe objective of this research was to evaluate the nitrogen-corrected apparent metabolizable energy (AMEn) balance of the following lipid sources: soybean oil, sunflower oil, linseed oil, and fish oil. Two hundred eighty 24-wk-old laying hens of the Hysex White were used. The experimental diets consisted of a basal diet (reference group), basal diet + 10% soybean oil addition (group 1), basal diet + 10% sunflower oil addition (group 2), basal diet + 10% linseed oil addition (group 3), and basal diet + 10% fish oil addition (group 4), distributed in a completely randomized design with seven replicates and eight birds per experimental unit. The metabolic assay was performed by the total excreta collection method. The AMEn values found in the natural material were 9 334 kcal kg−1 for soybean oil, 10 533 kcal kg−1 for sunflower oil, 10 928 kcal kg−1 for linseed oil, and 9 005 kcal kg−1 for fish oil. The AMEn were different among the lipid sources. Sunflower oil and linseed oil had higher AMEn compared with soybean oil and fish oil (P < 0.05). The AMEn of the lipid sources of plant origin had higher values than the gross energy. The fatty acid profile of each lipid source was presented in this work. Thus, it is important to have individual nutritional information for each type of oil for laying hens, making it possible to formulate more appropriate and accurate feed.The accepted manuscript in pdf format is listed with the files at the bottom of this page. First observation of Bs → J/ψf0(980) decays
Get PDFUsing data collected with the LHCb detector in proton–proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV, the hadronic decay is observed. This CP eigenstate mode could be used to measure mixing-induced CP violation in the system. Using a fit to the π+π− mass spectrum with interfering resonances gives . In the interval ±90 MeV around 980 MeV, corresponding to approximately two full f0 widths we also find , where in both cases the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively
Measurement of sigma (pp -> bbX) at √s=7 TeV in the forward region

Search for B-c(+) decays to two charm mesons
Get PDFA search for decays of B-c(+) mesons to two charm mesons is performed for the first time using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1), collected by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The decays considered are B-c(+)-> D-(s)(()*())(+) (D) over bar (()*()0) and Bc(+)-> D-(s)(()*D-)+(()*())(0), which are normalised to high-yield B+-> D-(s)(+)(D) over bar (0)decays. No evidence for a signal is found and limits are set on twelve B-c(+) decay modes. (C) 2018 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier B.V
Differential branching fractions and isospin asymmetries of B -> K ((*)) mu (+) mu (-) decays
Get PDFThe isospin asymmetries of B → Kμ + μ - and B → K * μ + μ - decays and the partial branching fractions of the B 0 → K 0 μ + μ -, B + → K + μ + μ - and B + → K *+ μ + μ - decays are measured as functions of the dimuon mass squared, q 2. The data used correspond to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb-1 from proton-proton collisions collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7 TeV and 8 TeV in 2011 and 2012, respectively. The isospin asymmetries are both consistent with the Standard Model expectations. The three measured branching fractions favour lower values than their respective theoretical predictions, however they are all individually consistent with the Standard Model.
