Get PDFThis research aims to examine whether Nizar Qabbani in creating poetry adheres to Parnasianism or not. Nizar Qabbani is a Syrian poet who wrote poetry about women. Most of Nizar Qabbani's poetry collections refer to women's bodies as objects of love. Parnasianism is a literary movement that emphasizes beauty rather than moral aspects. This research uses a descriptive analysis method by analyzing three poems by Nizar Qabbani entitled قالت لي السمراء, طفولة نهد and 100 رسالة الحب. Based on the three poems by Nizar Qabbani, they fall into the category of poems that follow the flow of Parnasianism. The poem is about women, a man's love for a woman, using beautiful language, wazan and qafiyah and not caring about the meaning it contains whether it deviates from social or religious norms

Her ne kadar şiiri ve ona yönelik ahlaki yargılar bağlamında görüş ayrılıkları olsa da adı, Arap edebiyatına ilgi duyanların göz ardı etmediği, şairliği ve edebiyat dünyasındaki etkin varlığı konusunda herkesin mutabık olduğu bir şairdir. Birçok insan şiirlerini okumuştur. Kimileri şiirlerini olumlayıp ilgi gösterirken bazıları ise acımasızca eleştirmiştir. Şairliği ve şiir anlayışı hakkında birçok yazı yazılmış ve geniş tartışmalar yapılmıştır. Bu değerlendirmelerin çoğunda onun şiiri güzellik unsuru yönüyle incelenmiş ve şiirlerinde yer alan "çirkinlik" imgesinin önündeki sis perdesi henüz tam olarak kaldırılamamıştır. "Nizar Kabbani'nin şiirinde çirkinlik" başlığıyla iki bölümden oluşan bu çalışmanın birinci bölümünde: Nizar Kabbani'nin hayatı, şairliği ve özgün şiir yapısının oluşmasında rol oynayan temel etmenler ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise gasp edilen halklar ve Arap lideriyle özdeşleşen zorba iktidar gibi farklı modeller üzerinden "Nizar Kabbani'nin Şiirinde Çirkinlik" imgesi ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır Bunun yanı sıra toplumsal imaj ve normlar manzumesi düzleminde aldatan kadın modeli hakkında Kabbani'nin, özellikle İlyas Ebu Şebeke ve şiir divanı (Firdevsin Yılanları) başta olmak üzere çirkinlik tasvirinde başkalarından etkilenmesi açıklanmaya çalışılmış ve kendisini diğerlerinden özgün kılan çirkinlik tasviri çalışma konusu olarak seçilmiştir.Everyone agrees with the fact that Nizar Kabbani is a bright name within the world of poetry. Nizar Kabbani captures the attention, appreciation and consensus of all in regards to his poet identity, and the active existence within the literature world although there are different opinions concerning his poetry and the moral judgements directed to his personality. Many people have read the poems of Nizar Kabbani. Whereas some have praised his poems and expressed increased interest towards them, some others have criticized them ruthlessly. Several articles have been written and a wide range of discussions have been performed about his poet identity and his understanding of poetry. In many of these discussions, his poems have been scrutinized from the perspective and theme of "beauty" while the meaning behind his usage of the theme and image of "ugliness" has not yet been fully clarified. This study which is entitled "Ugliness in the poems of Nizar Kabbani" is made up of two sections. In the first section, Nizar Kabbani's life, poetry and basic elements that helped constitute his original poem structure were evaluated. In the second section, the image of "Ugliness in Nizar Kabbani's poems" is explored in regards to different models such as extorted communities and peoples and the tyrant government associated with Arab leaders. In addition, further exploration is made on the influence of others on Nizar Kabbani concerning the description of ugliness such as Ilyas Ebu Şebeke, Poem Divan (Firdavs' Snakes) and the cheating woman within the context of social image and the norm system. Within this analysis, the description of ugliness which makes Nizar Kabbani's originality and separates him from others is selected as a topic of investigation

It also deals with the narrative mechanisms that Nizar Qabbani benefited from in the formation of the dramatic scene.Based on this idea, the study consists of a set of axes: the first axis deals with a presentation of the basic concepts: scene, drama, poetry, and Nizar Qabbani\u27s ingenuity in drafting the scene. The second axis: drama and poetry, and it shows the elements of linking between drama as a text to be acted and poetry as a lyrical text.
