The integration of passenger and freight transport: Trends, gaps and future research challenges
Integrated passenger freight transport (IPFT) has gained recent attention as an option to support policymakers’ efforts to negative impacts of passenger transport and logistics and to help them to reach the Carbon Net Zero target.
In particular, IPFT has been considered as a solution towards reducing the inefficiencies for the first and last mile (FLM) of both people and goods transport chains. The FLM (i.e., the first and last leg of each trip, between the starting point or final destination and a transport/logistics hub) is in fact among the most costly and time-consuming legs of each journey, especially in relation to its length, and produces relevant inefficiencies and negative externalities. Typically, the FLM faces customers and operators with long waiting and idle time, congestion, delays, and other contingencies. As a consequence, freight FLM operations generate irritation among residents and workers, whereas passengers tend to increase their reliance on private transport modes in an effort to reduce the unpredictability of their trip (Nocera et al., 2021).
So far, the debate on IPFT business models and performances regarded limited cases. Researchers highlighted how integration can have different declinations according to the context and to characteristics of mobility systems: IPFT can mean sharing vehicles (e.g., by allocating to freight spare capacity on local busses), infrastructure (e.g., by operating freight trams on urban tram tracks, within regular passenger services), or other assets, like mobility-related public space (e.g., by placing small consolidation facilities or parcel lockers at transit stops). More types of integration can also be promoted (Bruzzone et al., 2021).
Long-distance transport traditionally adopts IPFT: airliners, ferries and even buses commonly transport goods together with passengers.
In short-haul movements, however, the passenger and freight sectors are normally independent. In 2007, also in response to the registered and foreseeable growth of e-commerce and logistics movements in general, the European Commission (EC) published the Green Paper on Urban Mobility, the first strategic document to explicitly consider IPFT as a concurring solution to contemporary urban FLM challenges. Such hint by the EC started a research stream exploring IPFT’s potential not only in urban operations, but also in rural contexts. In urban environments, the potential of IPFT lies mostly in the reduction in the number of vehicles deployed for logistics operations, and thus driving and idling. Besides environmental benefits, the reduction of the impacts of urban logistics increases its social sustainability. This is due to less conflicts for the use and allocation of the limited urban space, less noise, fewer crashes, and higher use of flexible delivery and collection solutions, such as parcel lockers and pickup-delivery points

Group Structure and Physical Characteristics of Simakobu Monkeys (Simias concolor) on the Mentawai Island of Siberut, Indonesia
We present data on group structure and physical characteristics from free-ranging Simias concolor. Mean group size (n = 3) was 8.7 +/- 1.1 individuals with an average adult male: female sex ratio of 1:3. All individuals were sexed and allocated into three categories (infants, juveniles plus subadults and adults) on the basis of their physical development. Within age categories, head-body lengths ranged from 19.6 to 25, 34 to 44 and 42 to 53 cm. Corresponding body weights ranged from 0.5 to 0.9, 2.35 to 4.4 and 5.2 to 7.85 kg, respectively; on average adult males were 13% larger and 23% heavier than adult females. Results indicate that for S. concolor living in undisturbed habitat (i) group sizes are larger than previously reported and (ii) polygyny is the most likely mating system. Both results support an earlier proposal that group size and social organization in Simakobu monkey are related to the degree of habitat disturbance. Copyright (C) 2009 S. Electromagnetic wobble micromotor for microrobots actuation
A key point for microrobots is represented by the actuation system, which enables them to move and manipulate objects, if required. In the field of mechatronic medical micro-instruments a micromotor could be used for the actuation of endoscopes lenses and in powered laparoscopic tools, for examples micro-grippers or micro-scissors, drug delivery micro-pumps and endoscopic intra-corporeal autonomous capsules. The size range of interest goes from centimetres down to hundreds of microns. Scaling down the overall dimensions of robots, traditional actuators are no longer feasible and it becomes essential to employ innovative systems. In this paper the optimization of an existing wobble micromotor is presented and its implementation as microactuator for biomedical devices has been demonstrated. The Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis has been applied on a variable reluctance wobble motor (Φ 5 mm × 5 mm) in order to evaluate all the electric and magnetic quantities necessary for the optimization of the micromotor geometry and performances and to compute its electromechanical characteristic. Thanks to its small size, the micromotor has been assembled inside swallowable modules, both in single and in twin configuration. Motor's simple structure and low cost opens a very wide market where the actuator could be commercialized, as for example consumer electronics, mechatronic medical micro-instruments, robotics, micromanipulators, dosing systems and mobile robots

The data source is transcription of the President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s Speech, at the West Point Military Academy, New York, 22 September 2014. The result of analyzing data were gained the Derivational affixes in the speech there are, in- (2), un- (1), re- (2), as prefixes, while the suffixes are –able (2), -al (5), –er (2), -ful (3), -ion (16), -ism (3), -ties (1), -less (1), –ly (8), –ment (9), –n (1), –ness (1), –or (1), –ous (3), –ry (1), –ship (1), –ty (2). It shows that suffix –ion as derivational affixes which is the most frequently present in this speech. The writer also can obtain the root of the words in The President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s speech, they are 13 (adjective), 12 (noun), 41 (verb). It also concluded that there are adverb maker (9), noun maker (41), and adjective maker (8), as the function of derivational affixes found in The President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s speech. From the conclusion of this research, the writer suggests that to improve their mastery of vocabulary, the readers should be apply the derivational affixes by breaking the word into its elements root and affixes because from one word they can get the structure of words and they also find how the words built. By knowing the roots, the readers can build the word by themselves

The President’s Expression: Analyzing the Psychological Aspects of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s Lyrics
Word and text analysis has become an alternative method to examine social and psychological problems when other common methods could not access the internal workings of a participant’s psyche. This study shows that text analysis, as an alternative method, is capable to identify important psychological aspects contained in the song lyrics written by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) with regard to his strategic role as a country and political leader. Three main aspects are identified: emotion, achievement, and harmony. The lyrics of 23 Indonesian songs written by SBY have been gathered for the purpose of analysis. Three studies were carried out to analyze the psychological aspects contained in SBY’s song lyrics. Firstly, the author applied algoritma kata (AK – word algorithm) to identify the degrees of valence and arousal in each song using the word count method. Secondly, the author applied analisis lirik keseluruhan (ALK – the whole lyric analysis) to assess the valence and arousal in every song by means of human judgment. Third, the author applied expert judgment (EJ) to analyze the dominant words that emerge in all song lyrics. This study shows that SBY’s song albums have consistently shown a positive valence and an increasing level of arousal from 2006 to 2014. In addition to that, EJ method shows that those dominant words represent SBY’s two most prominent psychological aspects: achievement and harmony
