Her work appears in journals such as APR, Crab Orchard Review, Gulf Coast, Colorado Review and Callaloo. Honors include the Ernesto Trejo prize and the Philip Levine Fellowship. She is an assistant professor at the University of Texas at EI Paso, where she teaches poetry writing, nonfiction writing, and women\u27s, Asian American and black literatures. No full textIn this work, we focus on the work Denso e Leve como o voo das Árvores (2015), by Recife poet Renata Pimentel, born in 1972. The book is articulated around cycles of nature. Through geopoetry (SILVA JR, 2015), we advance through poetic voices in this book which, according to the author herself, is a dramaturgy-cycle of poems – set that articulates aesthetic, ethical and political dimensions of the poet-nature relationship. This investigation is guided by the studies of Augusto Silva Júnior (2015), Walter Benjamin (1989), Sigmund Freud (2011), Otávio Paz (2012) and other scholars, whose contributions add in a dialogical way with this effort of producing responsive literary critic about a living poet of Brazilian geopeosia.Este estudo analisa a publicação Denso e leve como o voo das árvores (2015), da poeta recifense contemporânea Renata Pimentel. O livro se articula em torno dos ciclos da natureza. Com amparo na teoria da geopoesia (SILVA JR, 2015), avançamos por entre vozes poéticas nessa obra que, segundo a própria autora, é uma dramaturgia-ciclo de poemas – conjunto que articula dimensões estéticas, éticas e políticas da relação poeta-natureza. O itinerário crítico aqui empreendido orienta-se pelos estudos de Augusto Silva Junior (2015), Walter Benjamin (1989), Sigmund Freud (2011), Otávio Paz (2012) e de outros estudiosos, cujas contribuições somem dialogicamente (BAKHTIN, 2010) com a proposta de se produzir crítica literária responsiva sobre uma poeta viva da geopoesia brasileira

Inseridos nesta realidade, os produtores procuram cada vez mais novas maneiras de se diferencias no mercado, surgindo assim um interessante cenário para as Indicações Geográficas. O presente trabalho foca seu estudo na análise de práticas de Gestão do Conhecimento que possam ser utilizadas como facilitadores durante o processo de organização dos produtores para obter o reconhecimento legal das Indicações de Procedência. A pesquisa é de cunho qualitativo com objetivo descritivo, coletando dados através de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Concluiu-se que as práticas de Gestão do Conhecimento que podem mais facilmente serem utilizadas na realidade das Indicações Geográficas, de acordo com os parâmetros estabelecidos no presente trabalho, são as Comunidades de Prática, Storytelling e Espaço Colaborativo, práticas estas que são apresentadas e descritas ao longo do texto. Mark and his Gentile Audience: A Traditio-Historical and Socio-Cultural Investigation of Mk 4.35-9.29 and its Interface with Gentile Polytheism in the Roman Near East
No full textThis thesis takes a novel, inter-disciplinary approach to an examination of the Markan evangelist’s portrayal of Jesus’ interface with Gentiles in a central section of his Gospel (Mk 4.35-9.29). As a framework to this section, Mark created a connected account of Jesus’ itinerary that included trips to perform miracles in the Gentile territories of Gerasa, Tyre, Bethsaida, the wider Decapolis and Caesarea Philippi. This thesis examines the role of these pericopae in the narrative as a whole and challenges the view that Mark’s geographical references were largely symbolic, rural and for the most part aimed at Jewish followers. The study scrutinizes Mark’s choice of geographical locations, systematically examines recent research on the religious milieu in these specific locations and brings this research into connection with the Gentile mission portrayed by Mark. The polytheistic and social environment in which Mark’s first century audience functioned has received little attention in recent scholarship and represents a lacuna in New Testament historical-critical research which this study addresses. A detailed exegesis of this section of the narrative concludes that Mark (a) deliberately redacts his text to place miracles in geographical regions where Gentiles predominate; (b) emphasizes obduracy and faithlessness on the part of Jewish officialdom and the Jewish disciples, in contrast to an implied understanding on the part of the Gentiles; (c) orchestrates a prolonged and sustained Jesus mission to the Gentiles as a precursor to his own community’s mission, to respond to their need for support and reassurance and (d) formulates his narrative to engage with his intended first century audience's Graeco-Roman religious and social worldview, inviting them to make comparison between the activities of Jesus and other contemporary miracle-performing men and polytheistic gods

Richard Pimentel is one of the leading experts on innovative strategies for employing people with disabilities, with a special focus on veterans with disabilities. Praised for his use of humor, metaphor, and storytelling in his work as a consultant and trainer, Pimentel also brings his insights as a disabled Vietnam veteran to topics as diverse as the future of disability management, attitudinal change in health and human services, and overcoming challenges of returning combat veterans.
Pimentel is a senior partner in the consulting/training firm of Milt Wright & Associates, Inc. An expert on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), he has authored and co-authored numerous books and professional publications, including What Managers and Supervisors Need to Know About the ADA, Making the ADA Work for You, The Workers Compensation ADA Connection, and Taking Control of Workers Compensation Disability Costs.
Pimentel is the past chairman of the Veterans Advisory Committee on Rehabilitation and advisor to the secretary of Veterans Affairs on all veterans’ rehabilitation issues. In the past year, Pimentel was a keynote speaker and trainer/consultant to the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Office of Mental Health Services and Department of Veterans Affairs Vocational Rehabilitation.
Pimentel is also the key author of the highly acclaimed and widely used Windmills program, designed to change the attitudes and behavior of supervisors who hire and promote employees with disabilities. Windmills is used by many of America’s largest and most prestigious government and employer organizations, as well as Fortune 100 companies.

Monstruosa tierra, particularmente la noción carne, se vinculan con un proyecto de
investigación mucho más amplio de su autor. De tal manera, este ejercicio ofrece
una comprensión del desarrollo de algunas ideas centrales a lo largo de la obra de
Pimentel Chacón, su transformación, su apertura e integración, al considerar nuevas
problemáticas. El escrito finaliza con una reflexión motivada por Monstruosa
tierra, en torno a la lectura de referentes primordiales en las tradiciones de pensamiento
político y económico.This paper proposes a review of Monstruosa tierra. Una lectura de Leviathan by the Costa Rican theologian Jonathan Pimentel Chacón. The main goal of this document is to show how some central categories and problems of Monstruosa tierra, particularly its notion of flesh, are related to a broader threshold within the inquiry of its author. From this perspective, the exercise suggests an understanding of the development of some primary ideas throughout Pimentel Chacón’s work, its variation during different periods and integration within the recent research conflicts of its author. At the end of this text, it is discussed the methodological precautions motivated by Monstruosa tierra regarding the reception of principal references within the traditions of political and economic thought.Este artigo oferece uma recepção de Monstruosa tierra.
