Contemporary Sufism understanding always brings oneself closer to Allah SWT without forgetting onse’s social duties as a creature, and one lives actively and optimistically following the development of the times. Utilizing worship as medium for Sufism, a positive attitude towards life in the form of a high social ethos, a burning fighting spirit, willingness to sacrifice for the benefit of he people, and working hard. The world is something tangible as a place for devotion so that the world is valuable and mearningful. It is just that every Muslim must acknowledge and the aware of he importance of religious spirituality, which can provide peace, comfort and tranquillity. In living this life, it is necessary to synergize worldy and spiritual interests. A worldly life that pays little attention to spiritual and religious feelings can lead to a materialistic-hedonistic and consumeristic personality contemporary Sufism bridges the balance between the demands of physical needs while simultaneously providing spiritual needs and reviving religious/spiritual feelings

    An Analysis Of Hasan Hanafi's Occidentalism: Dismantling Western Epistemological Hegemony For Non-Western Knowledge

    This study examines the construction of occidentalism within the framework of contemporary Islamic theology, focusing on Hasan Hanafi's thought and its contribution to maintaining epistemology in the non-Western world. The aim of the study is to identify the forms of occidentalism that emerge in contemporary Islamic theological discourse. It explores Hasan Hanafi's approach to the deconstruction of Western epistemology and assesses the impact of Hanafi's thought on the development of knowledge discourse in non-Western contexts. The methods used are critical library research and hermeneutic textual analysis of Hasan Hanafi's main works, as well as a comparative study of the literature on occidentalism and epistemology in non-Western regions. The results show that Hasan Hanafi offers a systematic critique of the pretensions of universality of Western epistemology with an emphasis on epistemic plurality, the historical reconstruction of Muslim experience, and the need for an autonomous normative basis for knowledge production in the Islamic world. His thought challenges the tradition-modernity dichotomy and introduces the concept of cultural reconstruction as a strategy to restore the epistemic heritage of non-Western societies. The study concludes that Hasan Hanafi's contribution enriches contemporary Islamic theological discourse by offering a critical epistemic framework that rejects occidentalist domination and opens up space for pluralistic dialogue between local traditions and intellectual innovation

    Fostering Critical Thinking Skills In Elementary Schools With Video-Assisted Discovery Learning

    This study aims to examine the implementation of video-assisted discovery learning to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The approach is qualitative to the type of classroom action research. The research subjects were 20 students and 1 teacher at fourth-grade Public Elementary School 35 Pammanu, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The approach is qualitative with the type of classroom action research (CAR). This research was carried out in two cycles on sains with force and motion material. Each cycle is completed in two learning meetings. Observation, tests, and documentation obtained data. The data analysis procedures used are condensation, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the learning process using video-assisted discovery learning showed changes in student learning activity and engagement, learning interaction, learning atmosphere, and student learning focus getting better. The category of students' critical thinking skills has increased from 60% of students in the sufficient and very critical categories in Cycle I to 85% in Cycle II. Thus it can be concluded that implementing discovery learning assisted by video media can improve the learning process and students' critical thinking skills in the science learning in fourth-grade Public Elementary School 35 Pammanu, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi

    Exploring Indonesia’s Cultural Diversity through A Quick Response Code Quartet Card Game

    Teaching cultural diversity to students in the modern era requires integration with technology to make it engaging and challenging. For this reason, the study aims to develop learning media in the form of Quartet Cards with QR Code to explore Indonesian cultural diversity for grade 4 elementary school (SD) students. This research and development study uses the ADDIE model. The research background is social science learning for grade 4 in three schools (SD 12, 28, and 51) in Parepare, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Data were collected through interviews, observations, needs analysis, validation, and practicality test questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out descriptive qualitatively, and quantitatively. The needs analysis showed that teachers and students needed game-based learning media that integrated technology to explore Indonesian cultural diversity. After design and development process, this study has produced a one set of Quartet Cards with QR Code. Based on the product validation test by material and media experts, the product was declared valid. The results of the practicality test by users (teachers and students) also showed that the product was very practical to use for learning. In conclusion, the product is valid & practical for elementary school students who want to explore Indonesian cultural diversity

    Keberadaan kebijaksanaan pada individu merupakan kualitas individu yang secara khas muncul dari hubungan integratif antara sejumlah karakter yang ada. Salah satu teori yang digunakan dalam menilai kebijaksanaan adalah wise reasoning. Wise Reasoning memiliki enam aspek yang dianalisis dari respon partisipan terhadap dilema sosial. Komponen-komponen tersebut adalah, perspektif, perubahan, fleksibel, ketidak-pastian atau batas-batas pengetahuan, kompromi dan resolusi konflik. Wise reasoning dapat dipengaruhi oleh psychological distance (immersed and distance) Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah; (1) Apakah terdapat perbedaan wise reasoning pada individu yang melakukan self immersed dan individu yang menggunakan self distance? (2) Apakah terdapat perbedaan wise reasoning pada individu yang pernah mengalami kasus atau yang belum pernah mengalami kasus yang sama? dan (3) Apakah terdapat perbedaan wise reasoning pada individu dengan kasus yang dialami dan belum pernah dialami dengan menggunakan self immersed dan self distance? Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 60 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Makassar. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah true experimental (eksperimen murni) dengan desain penelitian randomized posttest only control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa psychological distance (immersed and distance) tidak memberikan hasil yang signifikan terhadap wise reasoning

    Sekolah pada umumnya digunakan tempat pendidikan masyarakat secara formal, sekolah terus berevolusi dari sisi pengembangan infrastruktur fasilitasnya, sumberdaya manusia terutama gurunya dan sistem kurikulum untuk mengikuti perkembangan jaman yang terus berkembang. SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan) menyiapkan siswa – siswa yang siap bekerja, terutama industri yang membutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang telah memiliki hard skill yang dibutuhkan. Khusus untuk konsentrasi TKJ (jaringan komputer) siswa diberikan workshop dari kelanjutan sosialisasi yang telah diselenggarakan sebelumnya. Workshop dilakukan secara daring (on-line) menggunakan video conference dengan aplikasi google meet, aplikasi seperti power poin dan simulator aplikasi lainnya ditampilkan dengan cara membagikan tampilan desktop kepada para peserta workshop (siswa/siswi SMK Xaverius 1 palembang) Indikator penilaian kegiatan workshop dengan menggunakan kuisioner dan hasil dari beberapa poin pertanyaan yang direspon peserta yang berjumlah 22 orang siswa/siswi SMK Xaverius palembang. Presentase tertinggi pada pertanyaan “apakah topik kegiatan menarik ?” terdapat pada rate ke-4 dengan capaian 22,7%, pertanyaan “Bahan/materi kegitan menaring ?” terdapat pada rate 5 dengan capaian 54,5%, pertanyaan “Penyampaian materi/bahan jelas ?” terdapat pada rate ke 4 dengan capaian 50%, pertanyaan “Bentuk kegiatan ini secara umum menarik?” terdapat pada rate ke 4 dengan capaian 54,5% dan pertanyaan “Kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat?” terdapat pada rate ke 5 dengan capaian 59,1%, dengan hasil tersebut banyak yang menyikapi positif dalam kegitan PkM tersebut

    Enhancing Matrix Multiplication Learning in Grade XI: A Design Thinking Approach with Talking Stick and Row-by-Column Techniques

    Penelitian ini mengungkap penerapan konsep tongkat bicara dan teknik kolom-kali-baris untuk pembelajaran perkalian matriks siswa kelas XI dengan pendekatan desain berpikir. Penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif ini melibatkan guru mata pelajaran dan 32 peserta didik XI F 1 sebagai subjek penelitian. Penelitian ini diawali dengan observasi awal, diikuti dengan pelatihan teknik, metode, dan pendekatan gabungan, dan kemudian penerapan teknik gabungan oleh guru. Metode pengumpulan data dan instrumen yang diterapkan adalah lembar observasi untuk mengamati situasi sebelum dan sesudah guru saat menggunakan teknik, proses, dan pendekatan gabungan yang telah ditentukan. Para peneliti menganalisis data yang terkumpul menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif untuk mengidentifikasi perubahan yang paling efektif. Hasilnya menemukan bahwa teknik, metode, dan pendekatan gabungan memiliki pembelajaran perkalian matriks yang lebih baik. Kombinasi yang diterapkan menciptakan suasana belajar yang terstruktur dan interaktif untuk mendorong tanggung jawab dan kolaborasi. Para siswa dapat menjelaskan konsep matriks, memberikan solusi, dan berkolaborasi dengan teman sebayanya. Temuan-temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa memadukan konsep tongkat bicara dengan teknik kolom dikalikan baris melalui pendekatan desain berpikir dapat berfungsi sebagai model pedagogis yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, pemahaman konseptual, dan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif dalam pembelajaran perkalian matriks. This research revealed the implementation of the talking-stick concept and column-multiplied-by-row technique for matrix multiplication learning of XI graders with a thinking design approach. This descriptive quantitative research involved the course teacher and 32 learners of XI F 1 as the research subjects. This research began with preliminary observation, followed by training in the combined technique, method, and approach, and then implementation of the combined technique by the teacher. The method of collecting data and the applied instruments were an observation sheet to observe the pre- and post-situations of the teacher while using the predetermined combined technique, process, and approach. The researchers analyzed the collected data using a quantitative descriptive analysis to identify the most effective changes. The results found that the combined technique, method, and approach had better matrix multiplication learning. The applied combination created structured and interactive learning atmospheres to encourage responsibility and collaboration. The students could explain the matrix concept, provide a solution, and collaborate with their peers. These findings suggest that integrating the talking-stick concept with the column-multiplied-by-row technique through a thinking design approach can serve as an effective pedagogical model to enhance student engagement, conceptual understanding, and collaborative problem-solving in matrix multiplication learning

    Adaptive, Agile dan Robust Governance untuk Menjaga Ketahanan Daerah dalam Menghadapi Pandemi COVID-19: Studi Dokumen Rencana Kerja Pemerintah Daerah di Jawa Timur Tahun 2020-2022

    Rencana Kerja Pemerintah Daerah atau yang disebut RKPD merupakan dokumen perencanaan Daerah untuk periode 1 (satu) tahun. Idealnya berbagai macam cara yang digunakan oleh pemerintah daerah dalam menangani COVID-19 dapat ditemukan dalam RKPD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara tersebut dengan mengeksplorasi respons pemerintah daerah terhadap pandemi COVID-19 dalam perencanaan pembangunan kemudian dapat diketahui model tata kelola seperti apa yang digunakan. Metode penelitian ini adalah arsip politik dengan sumber dokumen RKPD lima kabupaten/ kota di Jawa Timur. Untuk menjaga keabsahan data penelitian ini menyalin langsung data dari dokumen RKPD dan melakukan cross check ulang setelah data dimuat dalam laporan setelah mekanisme pengolahan data. Hasil penelitian menemukan pemerintah daerah mengaplikasikan konsep tata kelola adaptif untuk menangani COVID-19. Fenomena adaptive local governance mempertimbangkan peran pemerintah pusat dalam tata kelola penanganan COVID-19. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa sentralisasi dari hubungan pemerintah pusat-daerah justru lebih mendorong tata kelola adaptif. Implikasinya penanganan COVID-19 berdasarkan perubahan kebijakan menjadi legitimasi sentralisasi hubungan pemerintah seperti peraturan yang dikeluarkan oleh Pemerintah pusat seperti Instruksi Presiden Nomor 4 Tahun 2020 dan Instruksi Menteri Dalam Negeri No 1 Tahun 2020. Bentuk dari tata kelola adaptif dalam penanganan pandemi dengan menyesuaikan konteks penanganan pandemi yaitu penanganan kesehatan, pemulihan ekonomi dan penguatan jejaring sosial. Bagaimanapun COVID-19 menjadi pusat perhatian pemerintah daerah dalam perencanaan pembangunan, temuan penelitian ini berbeda dengan argumen yang menyatakan bahwa COVID-19 adalah game-changer karena COVID-19 hanya ada sebagai unsur tambahan pembangunan dan tidak benar-benar mengubah alur perencanaan

The use of information technology in Education field has to be anticipated and prepared by teachers, students, and educational workers. The key of success in accommodating the advancement of the era is determined by strong motivation from all components especially teachers. Therefore, the goal of the service program is directed to grow the motivation of teachers in the effort to improve Education quality in Mts Mambaul Ulum. The program implementation was conducted in stages, namely problem identification, program socialization, motivation seminar for students, teachers, parents/ guardian, leaders of the Foundation, and school environment. The result of the social service activity is the growing of strong motivation in all components, and stakeholders can build the relation harmonization among all components towards quality Education in the digital era
