    Bedah Buku Perempuan Sejuta Kepahitan sebagai Media Edukasi Akhlak Pencegahan Pacaran di Pondok An-Nahdloh Malaysia

    Pondok An-Nahdloh merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang berafiliasi dengan Nahdlatul Ulama dan mengembangkan model pendidikan integratif antara penguatan keilmuan keislaman dan pembinaan karakter santri. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk bedah buku dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, membaca, dan menulis santri, sekaligus sebagai media edukasi akhlak dalam upaya pencegahan pacaran di lingkungan pesantren. Hasil evaluasi kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan bedah buku Perempuan Sejuta Kepahitan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi dan pemahaman nilai akhlak santri. Instrumen penelitian dinyatakan valid dan reliabel dengan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,812, data berdistribusi normal dengan signifikansi 0,200, serta terdapat peningkatan skor pascakegiatan yang signifikan secara statistik (mean = −6,42; t = −10,19; Sig. = 0,000). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa bedah buku dapat dijadikan model intervensi pedagogis yang efektif di pesantren

    The Influence of The Grammarly Application On Improving Students’ Writing Skill

    In education, AI technology has transformed the education curriculum, especially in the fields of technology, science, mathematics, and engineering. This research aims to determine the influence of using the Grammarly application on improving the writing skills of Islamic senior High School Al-Bairuny Jombang students. This research design is a quantitative experimental research design. The type of experimental research design used is a pre-experimental research design. The population of this study is extra-class A group student from class XI, Islamic senior High School Al-Bairuny Jombang, totaling 38 students. The sample for this research is students from the extra-class A1 class XI Islamic senior High School Al-Bairuny Jombang, totaling 20 students. The results show an increase in students' writing abilities. This can be proven by the average pre-test and post-test scores. The pre-test score was 78.25, and the post-test score was 80.90. Based on the findings of this research, it can be seen that using the Grammarly application as a media can have an influence on improving writing skills. Based on the research findings showing improvements in students' writing scores after using Grammarly, future researchers are advised to expand the scope of the study. Rather than focusing on just one group, it would be better to use a more robust experimental design, such as comparing a group of students who used Grammarly with another group who did not.

    Developing English Learning Media Based On PowerPoint of Procedure Text Material

    Learning is a process in which students interact with educators and various learning resources in an environment that supports learning activities. This research is motivated by the challenges in learning Aqidah Akhlak at Islamic Junior high school Rahmat Said Bongkot Peterongan, where students often experience difficulties in understanding the material and low interest in learning due to the use of learning media that are less creative and monotonous. The main objective of this research is to develop an effective PowerPoint-based interactive learning media to improve student understanding. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model approach. The validation results show that the media is very valid with an average acceptance rate of Aqidah Akhlak teachers of 93.7% and ICT teachers of 81.8%. In addition to validation, this media was also tested for practicality and was declared practical with an assessment of 88.8% from Aqidah Akhlak teachers. The effectiveness test was conducted on 29 eighth grade students, and the results showed that 26 students (89.6%) succeeded in achieving learning completion, which is included in the "very good" category. The student response questionnaire also showed a positive response to the use of this media. Thus, it can be concluded that this PowerPoint-based interactive learning media is highly effective and suitable for use in teaching aqidah and akhlak.. This media has been proven to increase student understanding and interest in learning, thus providing an innovative solution to address existing learning challenges

    Students’ Perspectives on Using AI DeepL Translate in English Writing

    Writing is an activity where someone can express their ideas in writing. AI in education refers to the use of technology that can be utilized in education. One example is in the learning process, which can be interactive and innovative. This research is urgent given the importance of English language skills as a tool for international communication, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine students' perspectives on the use of DeepL Translate in writing skills. In the context of language learning, artificial intelligence-based translation tools such as DeepL Translate are increasingly popular among students. This study used a mixed method, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with several students who used DeepL Translate in the process of writing descriptive texts. The results showed that most students had a positive response to the use of DeepL Translate. They felt this tool helped them understand new vocabulary, improve sentence structure, and increase the accuracy of their writing. However, some students also expressed concerns about the dependence on this translation tool and its potential negative impact on their independent writing skills. These findings provide important insights for teachers in understanding how technology can be utilized to support writing skills learning, as well as the challenges students face in using it

    Correlation of Student Learning Activities and Cognitive Learning Outcomes Using Problem-Based Learning

    This study aims to analyze the relationship between student learning activities and cognitive learning outcomes through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to ecosystem material. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study population was all 10th-grade students of Mojoagung State Senior High School, Jombang, with a sample of 36 10th-grade students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data on student learning activities were obtained through observation sheets, while cognitive learning outcomes were measured using a learning achievement test. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman correlation test using SPSS version 26 software. This is because the learning activity data is ordinal in scale. The results showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between student learning activities and cognitive learning outcomes with a Spearman correlation coefficient of 0.943 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which is in the very strong relationship category. This finding indicates that the higher the student learning activities in problem-based learning, the higher the cognitive learning outcomes achieved. The implications of this study confirm that the application of PBL which emphasizes active student involvement plays an important role in improving conceptual understanding, especially in ecosystem material which is complex and contextual

    Web-Based Chicken Feed Equipment Monitoring System

    The broiler chicken farming industry is a strategic sector in meeting the community's animal protein needs. Feed contributes the largest cost in chicken farming, accounting for approximately 65% of total production costs. Inaccurate feeding can result in suboptimal chicken growth and increased production costs. To address this issue, this research developed a web-based chicken feed weight monitoring system aimed at helping farmers monitor feed availability in real time and analyze feed data more effectively. The system uses a load cell sensor to measure the weight of feed in the feed container and displays the monitoring results online, facilitating user monitoring and decision-making. The initial research phase included analyzing user needs to ensure the system meets field requirements. However, the system still has limitations, such as the lack of environmental sensor integration (temperature and humidity), which are also important for maintaining chicken health, and limited features, including data backup, data download, and mobile display. For further development, the implementation of environmental sensors and these features is expected to improve the system's functionality. This way, farmers can not only accurately monitor feed consumption but also manage coop conditions more comprehensively and gain easy data access through a mobile application, enabling faster and more accurate decision-making

    A Study on the Daily Ethology of Adult Timor Deer (Cervus Timorensis) Based on Sex at the Jatilengger Captivity, Blitar Regency

    This study aims to analyze the daily behavior of Timor deer (Cervus timorensis) based on sex at the Jatilengger Deer Captivity, Blitar Regency. The research subjects consisted of 16 adult deer (8 males and 8 females) aged over 2.5 years. Observations were conducted using the scan sampling method through direct observation and CCTV monitoring during for 24 hours in 30 day which is three observation periods: morning, noon, and night. The behavioral variables observed included ingestive, locomotion, resting, grooming, fighting, investigative, and rubbing behaviors. The results showed that ingestive activity was the most dominant behavior performed by Timor deer, followed by locomotion, resting, investigative, grooming, fighting, and rubbing. The high frequency of ingestive activity indicates that the feed provided in captivity has not fully met the nutritional needs of the deer. In addition, ingestive behavior was often accompanied by locomotion, reflecting the social nature of Timor deer as gregarious animals. Resting behavior occurred most frequently in the morning for basking and at noon for sheltering, often followed by grooming behavior, which increased in the afternoon. Investigative behavior tended to be more frequently performed by females but also increased when visitors arrived or during feeding times. Fighting behavior occurred only among males, particularly during feeding. Overall, Timor deer in the Jatilengger Captivity spent most of their time feeding and moving in search of food, indicating that the management of the captivity is still suboptimal, as reflected by the insufficient fulfillment of feed requirements

    Islamic Business Ethics in Creative Industry: Honesty and Business Sustainability in Digital Era

    Digitalization and increasing market competition require business actors to adapt rapidly, often giving rise to ethical dilemmas. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic business ethics in the creative industry in the digital era, with a particular emphasis on honesty (ṣidq) as a fundamental principle supporting business sustainability. This qualitative study employs a literature review and in-depth interviews with three creative industry practitioners in Lamongan Regency, East Java, consisting of owners of a food and beverage (F&B) business, a mobile phone retail business, and a photography service (photo studio) business. Based on the empirical narratives of these three business owners, the findings reveal that honesty is operationalized in concrete business practices, including transparent pricing, truthful product descriptions, consistency between digital promotion and actual product quality, and openness in communicating service limitations. Despite challenges such as intense price competition, pressure for rapid production, and aggressive digital marketing practices, the informants consciously avoid misleading promotions and exaggerated claims. In the Lamongan context, honesty functions not only as a moral–religious value but also as a practical mechanism for building consumer trust and maintaining business reputation, which in turn supports long-term business sustainability. This study contributes to the literature by offering micro-level empirical insights into how honesty is enacted as a strategic ethical practice in small-scale digital creative businesses, rather than treating Islamic business ethics merely as a normative framework. Practically, the findings offer insights for practitioners and policymakers on integrating ethical and religious values into digital business strategies to enhance trust and sustainability

    Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sunan Giri di Desa Ngampel, Kecamatan Ngusikan, Kabupaten Jombang, menghadapi masalah rendahnya minat siswa terhadap aktivitas membaca dan menulis. Kondisi ini menunjukkan perlunya upaya terpadu untuk meningkatkan literasi sebagai fondasi pendidikan berkualitas. Fokus pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah membangun sinergi antara guru dan orang tua untuk mengatasi tantangan literasi di sekolah tersebut. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan berpikir kritis siswa guna mencapai pendidikan yang bermakna dan berkualitas tinggi. Pendekatan yang diterapkan meliputi pelatihan literasi bagi guru dan orang tua, pembentukan forum komunikasi rutin, serta penyediaan kegiatan membaca dan menulis yang menarik bagi siswa. Strategi ini dirancang untuk menciptakan kerja sama yang kuat, dukungan berkelanjutan, dan pemahaman bersama tentang kebutuhan belajar siswa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan minat siswa terhadap literasi, terlihat dari keterlibatan mereka dalam aktivitas membaca dan kemampuan menulis yang lebih kreatif. Sinergi antara guru dan orang tua juga memperkuat ekosistem pendidikan di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sunan Giri, sehingga mendukung proses pembelajaran yang berkelanjutan dan berkualitas.     Pelatihan Sistem Penyiraman Tanaman Otomatis IoT di SDN Gedangan 3 Sumobito Jombang

    This community service program was implemented at Public Elementary School Gedangan 3 in the rural district of Sumobito, Jombang, where school gardens support greening and environmental learning but plant care is constrained by manual, inconsistent watering. The project focused on introducing an automatic plant-watering system based on the Internet of Things using a soil-moisture sensor, a microcontroller, a relay, tubing, and a small water pump. The objectives were to motivate students’ interest in technology that benefits daily life, increase their knowledge of automatic watering principles and components, and provide direct practice operating a simple device. The approach combined participatory planning with teachers, structured instruction through presentation slides, a live demonstration of the device, guided student practice, and interactive discussion. Activities were conducted on 21 August 2025 with eighteen students from grades five and six, with classroom teachers acting as facilitators. Results showed improved student understanding of component functions and system operation, greater confidence and curiosity toward technology, and more consistent watering practices that support plant growth while using water efficiently. Students reported finding the learning enjoyable and accessible, and teachers indicated readiness to sustain the device for routine garden care. The program offers a practical, replicable model for integrating elementary-level technology literacy with environmental stewardship in school setting
