[APPROACHES AND ROLE OF DAKWAH AL-AZHAR GRADUATE THROUGH INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION AL-AZHAR GRADUATE IN RIAU (OIAA RIAU) IN SPREADING ISLAMIC DAKWAH IN RIAU: AN INITIAL REVIEW]: PENDEKATAN DAN PERANAN DAKWAH ALUMNI AL-AZHAR MELALUI ORGANISASI INTERNASIONAL ALUMNI AL-AZHAR RIAU (OIAA RIAU) DALAM MENYEBARKAN DAKWAH ISLAM DI RIAU: SEBUAH TINJAUAN AWAL
This article discusses the role of dakwah of the al-Azhar graduates of Egypt through the International Organization Al-Azhar Graduate in Riau (OIAA) in spreading Islamic dakwah in Riau, using descriptive and Islahi ijtima'i methods. In this study, the author finds that the use approach wasatiah, that is, trying to be an intermediary in a community problem so that it can be an improvement of society in a direction that can accept differences of opinion (Islahi ijtima'i). This study proves that some graduates of al-Azhar, Egypt, namely Musthafa Umar and Abdul Somad became scholars who are popular with the people, do not hold a single proposition of scholars or certain hadith, but try to present many propositions and hadiths to the community, so the community is told to choose propositions appropriate to their respective abilities. So the role of graduation in preaching is very important to understand the community in worship and dealing..
The purpose of this study is to clarify the materialism of the book Tafsir Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka. Tafsir Al-Azhar is one of the interpretations of the sons of the Indonesian nation which is still very influential today, one of the interpretations that is considered very representative for expressing understanding in various disciplines, both religious and non-religious, and socio-historical. Islam is a universal teaching, there is no prohibition for a person not to be able to look for material while living in this world, but also not to forget about the afterlife. At this time material is the main reference in the social ladder in life, rank and wealth are very appropriate benchmarks for current conditions. living like this, a materialist and stylish mindset arises as a place for existence. This materialist mindset causes humans to always focus on the world and indirectly loves wealth excessively, causing a loss of self-esteem, social attitudes and rules that serve as guidelines. The materialism that the author means is a lifestyle that is excessive in worldly affairs, especially material things, so that it neglects the purpose of life, so the writer tries to understand the verses of materialism through Buya Hamka\u27s interpretation. This study uses the Maudhu\u27i method, the form of research is library research. The primary data in this study is Al-Azhar Interpretation and secondary data in the form of interpretations, hadiths and supporting books and journals related to the material. The findings of this study are: a lifestyle that accumulates wealth, counts, spends extravagantly, boasts and loves wealth excessively is a characteristic of a materialistic attitude, when this attitude appears in social life, a lack of social solidarity and the emergence of individualistic attitudes such as arrogant and arrogant that is rampant so that it has an impact on aspects of social life
Makna Hijrah Dalam Tafsir Al-Azhar Karya Buya HAMKA
This study discusses the meaning of hijrah in the perspective of the Koran, the study of thematic interpretation of the terms of the Koran. In the background by today's millennial era. The phenomenon of hijrah has become a trend in the life of the people of the country, especially urban areas, the trend of hijrah is a new choice in the life of a Muslim today, which tends not to cover the genitals, etc. Meanwhile, if you look at the history of the prophet Muhammad and the previous prophets, hijrah is synonymous with moving. place from one place to another with the aim of saving themselves from the evil of the infidels who fight. This type of research is library research, meaning that the data sources that the authors get are primary and secondary sources. The primary source is the main source which in this study is the interpretation of Al-Azhar by Buya HAMKA. The secondary sources are other written books written by Buya HAMKA. In the data analysis method using descriptive method, which means that the researcher uses an analysis of the meaning of the content of the book of interpretation of Al-Azhar by Biya HAMKA. In the results of the research that the author conducted the interpretation of the verses about the hijrah as follows. (Al-Muddatsir: 5, Al-Muzammil; 10 Al-Baqarah: 218 Al-Furqon: 30 Al-Anfal: 72.75 Ali-Imran 195 An-Nisa: 34,89,97 An-Nahl 41). The hijrah contained in the interpretation of Al-Azhar by Buya HAMKA is divided into 5 (five) including: 1. Keeping away from bad traditions 2. Responding to evil with noble character 3. Moving physically from an infidel place to a place that is free to worship Allah swt 4. Separate yourself from something 5. Ignore somethin
Musibah dalam Tafsir al-Azhar dan Tafsir al-Misbah
This article describes how the Qur'an explains the calamities that befall humans. One form of disaster is natural disasters that often occur in Indonesia, so the author takes two interpretations of Indonesian scholars, namely Tafsir Al-Azhar and Tafsir Al-Misbah. This research as a whole is a library research. The author uses the maudhû`i interpretation approach (thematic) & comparative approach, the data that has been collected is analyzed using the interpretation and comparison (muqarran) method of both interpretations. The results of this study conclude that in interpreting verses related to the nature of disasters, both Hamka and M. Quraish Shihab have the same opinion, that calamities that befall humans have essentially been written in Lauhul Mahfudz and with the permission and will of Allah SWT, the difference is when the term Hamka's use of the Qur'an for the meaning of calamity is not mentioned by Hamka while M. Quraish Shihab explains the meaning and differences in scope. Hamka classifies disasters into big and small disasters, in contrast to M. Quraish Shihab, both of them have the same view that disasters occur as a result of human actions themselves, only Hamka emphasizes in his interpretation, not to blame others easily. the same view that when a disaster befalls a human being he should be patient, grateful and trustful and say the sentence istirja'
Revolution in reform: Trade unionism in Lahore, c. 1920-70
Late-colonial Lahore witnessed the rise of organised workers’ politics with the unionisation of native Indian workers at the Mughalpura railway workshops in 1920. Various ideological tendencies—the Owenist, Labourite and Communist traditions—began to come together while power struggles gradually led to rifts within the trade-union. Revolution in Reform: Trade-Unionism in Lahore, c. 1920–70 explores these previously unrecognised ambivalences.
Ahmad Azhar questions previous research that have traditionally considered labour politics of inter-war Punjab as mere preludes to Partition. He studies crucial moments: the railway strike of 1920; Mughalpura’s quest for autonomy in the inter-war years; the relation of labour politics with ‘Swaraj’ and the Indian National Congress (1919–47); and the Meerut Conspiracy Case and the Royal Commission on Labour in India.
The author also reconstructs events of the time from the narrative of Mirza Ibrahim, a key worker–militant leader, to analyse the repression faced by workers in the Mughalpura movement under communist hegemony. Through hitherto unused ego documents (mostly in the vernacular) of leaders such as J. B. Miller, M. A. Khan, Bashir Ahmed Bakhtiar and Saif-ur-Rehman, the author brings alive the conflicting aspects of trade-union leadership in a politically charged period in the history of inter-war Punjab, and post-Partition Pakistan.https://ir.iba.edu.pk/faculty-research-books/1061/thumbnail.jp
Penafsiran "La Taqrabu Al-Zina" dalam QS. Al-Isra' Ayat 32 (Studi Komparatif antara Tafsir Al-Azhar Karya Buya Hamka dan Tafsir Al-Mishbah Karya M. Quraish Shihab)
Adultery is a social problem that always exists in every era. There is a lot of evil that arises from adultery. Adultery is an act that is prohibited by Allah SWT from being committed by Muslims. The prohibition is contained in the QS. Al-Isra ': 32. Interestingly, the prohibition is not directly aimed at the object (adultery), but rather the prohibition to approach things that lead to adultery in the letter, written La> Taqrabu> al-Zina> (don't approach adultery). The commentators, from classical to contemporary commentators, have different interpretations of this verse. Due to the uniqueness of the use of the editorial plus the many different interpretations of the verse pieces, the author is interested in discussing the interpretation of La> Taqrabu> al-Zina> in Buya Hamka's Tafsir Al-Azhar and Al-Mishbah by Quraish Shihab which has an adabi> ijtima> styl. This literature research uses divine theory and an interpretive approach. The analytical method used by the author is a comparative analysis method with ta'lili reasoning. The results of this study found that there are two aspects of similarities and differences, namely in the methodological aspect and the interpretation aspect of La> Taqrabu> al-Zina in Tafsir Al-Azhar and Tafsri Al-Mishbah.

Arab-West Report Papers 2007 - 2016
The dataset contains papers written between 2007 and 2016 by researchers and interns at the Center for Arab-West Understanding ( CAWU) in Cairo or by researchers and academics connected to CAWU. The papers aim at obtaining a better understanding of the role of religion in society, including:- Relations between Muslims and Christians in Egypt;- Problems around church building, the highly controversial topic of (alleged) kidnappings of Christian youth, claims of forced conversions, reports on sectarian incidents in Egypt and media critique to uncover biased reporting within Egypt as well as the stereotypical tone in Western media;- The role of Christian and Muslim institutions in society and the political sphere;- Activities of human rights organizations;- Islam and politics. All papers are:- Descriptive and take different points of views serious as part of the description of events unfolding in society;- Contributing to a better understanding of people between different cultures and beliefs.Methodology:Papers always include Egyptian source material. Authors were recommended to make use of the AWR database, conduct interviews in Egypt and where encouraged to contrast results with western news coverage.Papers discuss one subject at length and were reviewed by Egyptian and/or Western academics, within the bounds of organizational possibility and edited by Cornelis Hulsman or others to guarantee academic standards. This has resulted in a number of unique studies about subjects that are rarely covered in depth elsewhere. These papers are completed texts but besides, additional texts from reviewers often include interesting suggestions for further research. With thanks to:Prentice (Author), P. WANDERING IN PERSPECTIVE OF AL-QUR'AN (THEMATIC STUDY OF AL-AZHAR TAFSIR BY BUYA HAMKA)
Wandering is the departure of a person from the place of origin where he grew up to another region to live life or seek experience. Wandering is a form of migration found in some areas in Indonesia. The phenomenon of wandering is defined in part as leaving home to seek wealth of science, knowledge, and prosperity. The purpose of this study is to find out how Buya Hamka in particular and other mufassir in general interpret verses related to wandering and know the wisdom of wandering in the perspective of the Qur'an. The primary data source is the data that is the main reference in the research, while the source of the data in this study is the Qur'anul Karim and the book of interpretation related to this research is al-Azhar tafsir. The most important secondary data sources are books related to the concept of developmental theory and can also be journals, magazines, thesis or articles that have relevance to the discussion of this research. This type of research is literature research that utilizes library sources to obtain research data or pure literature research. By finding and researching the verse in question, then processing it using the science of interpretation. The author uses the Maudhu'i method, also called the thematic method of interpretation. The conclusion of the research of verses on traveling in the Qur'an is the wisdom of travel verses that the author can summarize, namely wandering to study, wandering in order to worship, wandering to escape from threats, wandering to know stories, wandering for economic revival.

USE OF QUADRATIC EQUATION AND CHECKER-BOARD EXERCISE IN FUNDAMENTAL SALINITY CALCULUS
Some information on soil water, salinity and plant relations needs to be collected and processed at laboratory level before shifting to the fields. Pot culture studies in that context have often been useful in estimating the importance of different types of salinity with different cation and anions concentration. The present paper focuses on some mathematical manipulations for developing synthetic soil and water salinity levels. Use of quadratic equationand checkerboard exercise has been promoted to complement the traditional salinity calculations. Quadratic equation and checkerboard exercise can be effectively used in developing synthetic brackish waters of different CA: Mg ratios under some predetermined EC and SAR limits. Waters having different RSC levels under the same EC, SAR, Na and Ca + Mg status can also be prepared by adjusting the relative proportion of C03 + HC03 anions in the calculations. Similarly, soils with different salinity levels or soils with the same salinity magnitude but with different percentages of major cations and anions can also be developed . Manipulation of such calculations is often helpful in strategic planning of saline culture studies for monitoring and establishing specific ion-effect and crop stress relations
