    Woononderzoek Nederland 2024 - woningmarktmodule- release 1.1

    No full text

    No full text
Reduced open access edition. Research Infrastructures (RIs) and their services are an essential element in creating the potential for scientific progress in the European Union, but also beyond. Together with Core Facilities (CFs) - which exist in many universities and scientific research centers - RIs are a basic prerequisite for excellence in science, for the establishment of Open Science as well as Open Innovation strategies and an important factor for the development of initiatives, practices, common facilities, guidelines and standards. This requires highly skilled personnel. But what competencies and skills are now needed in detail to run RIs and CFs? What challenges must be overcome in the process? AUSSDA researchers are addressing these questions as part of the RI:TRAIN plus project in the form of an online survey (2021)

Postdoctoral researchers play a critical role in scientific research and are integral to many research groups. However, for various reasons, postdoctoral researchers are often overlooked or misrepresented as a homogeneous group of researchers. The principal aims of the Leibniz PostDoc Survey were, therefore, to first understand who Leibniz PostDocs are and, secondly, attempt to provide some insight into their experiences, interests, and needs. The first Leibniz PostDoc survey was conducted online in Germany from July to October 2022. The survey´s target group was all researchers in the Leibniz Association who have completed their PhD or submitted their doctoral thesis (but not necessarily finished their oral disputation) and have not yet gained a permanent position as a professor. Leibniz PostDocs were invited via email (distributed via the Leibniz PostDoc Network mailing list). Additionally, representatives in each Leibniz institute were asked to distribute the survey invitation internally via their respective postdoc mailing lists. The data set contains responses from 816 participants, which represent around 30 % of all Leibniz PostDocs. However, not all respondents answered every question, so the total number of responses for each question varies. The respondents were selected by means of a complete survey. The questionnaire was programmed in Lime Survey and included items on demographics, contracts and payments, working hours and tasks, career goals and development, working situations, good scientific practices (including conflicts and discrimination), and a section covering the needs and boundaries of international Leibniz PostDocs.1. Aluksi vastaajilta kysyttiin muun muassa miten he kokevat terveydentilansa ja toimintakykynsä, onko heillä lääkärin toteamia sairauksia, saavatko he riittävästi apua arjessa ja mistä mahdollinen avun saamattomuus aiheutuu. Seuraavaksi lomakkeella kartoitettiin vastaajien sosiaalisia suhteita ja aktiivisuutta. Vastaajilta kysyttiin esimerkiksi auttavatko he säännöllisesti jotakuta toimintakyvyltään heikentynyttä tai sairasta henkilöä, millaiset vapaa-ajan aktiviteetit kuuluvat heidän elämäänsä ja kokevatko he itsensä yksinäiseksi. The survey examined how Finnish individuals aged 65-84 perceive aging and well-being. The themes of the survey include health and functional ability, social networks and activity, the status of older people in society, personal future, housing and living environment, use of technology, and the COVID-19 epidemic. At the beginning of the survey, the respondents were asked how they perceive their health and functional ability, whether they have any doctor-diagnosed illnesses, whether they receive sufficient help in their daily lives, and what might be the reasons for not receiving such help. Next, the survey explored the respondents' social relationships and levels of activity. Participants were asked, for example, whether they regularly assist someone with reduced functional ability or illness, what kinds of leisure activities are part of their lives, and whether they feel lonely. Following this, the respondents were asked for their opinions on the status of older people and broader societal issues, such as whether pensioners are sufficiently valued in Finland and whether voting in elections is worthwhile. The respondents were then asked about their views regarding their future and aging. They were asked, for example, where they would like to live as they grow older, and whether issues such as their own health, climate change, or a close relative's illness cause them concern. After this, the respondents were asked about their current housing arrangements and their opinions on the services available in their residential area and the accessibility of those services. The following topic in the survey was technology, which examined how often and what types of technology and applications the respondents use. Finally, the survey gathered experiences and opinions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Background variables in the dataset include age, gender, marital status, education, labour market status, pension status, financial situation, net income, occupation, and socioeconomic status

Aineisto on kerätty osana Kansalaismielipidepaneelia, joka kuuluu kansalliseen yleisen mielipiteen mittaamisen infrastruktuuriin (The Finnish Research Infrastructure for Public Opinion, FIRIPO). Tämän jälkeen vastaajilta tiedusteltiin, missä eri kanavissa he kohtaavat näitä aiheita. The study examined how Finnish individuals relate to or identify with political and other societal content, as well as their interactions with people who hold similar or opposing views on these topics. Additionally, the survey asked respondents for their opinions on the placement of Finnish political parties along the left-right and liberal-conservative dimensions. The data was collected as part of the Public Opinion Panel, which is part of The Finnish Research Infrastructure for Public Opinion (FIRIPO). The questionnaire began by asking how common it is for respondents to agree or disagree on political and other societal topics. Next, respondents were asked in which channels they encounter these topics. The survey then explored whether respondents identify with other people's opinions on political and societal issues. Furthermore, it asked how common it is for respondents to discuss these topics with people who agree or disagree with them, whether these individuals are familiar or unfamiliar to them, and how the respondents perceive these conversations. Respondents' experiences of these discussions were examined by asking, for example, whether the conversations tend to become passionate, constructive debates, or hostile situations. The background variables in the dataset include gender, categorized age, and region

The data can be divided into three sections, each with slightly different emphases in the interviews. First, the interviewees were asked about their jobs, commuting distance and practices, hobbies, exercise habits and modes of transport. The interviewees were also asked what other modes of transport they might consider using. Some interviews further examined the impact of the tramway on commuting. Additionally, the interviewees were asked about the barriers and motivations for physical activity, as well as how their health conditions affect it. The interviewees were also shown cards with Creative Commons pictures relevant to their cultural and living environments that represented different kinds of activities in four categories: transport modes, exercise and sports activities, recreational activities, and active chores. They were first asked to select the cards that best represented their own activities. Then, they chose the activities they would like to engage in and those they would prefer to avoid. Additionally, the interviewees evaluated which images most accurately represented their everyday physical activity environment and the environment where they would like to be active. The background information includes gender, age group, job title and date of interview. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD

Aineisto on osa Terveyden ja hyvinvoinnin laitoksen toteuttamaa kyselykokonaisuutta, jonka tavoitteena oli tuottaa tietoa lastensuojelun ympärivuorokautisten yksiköiden toiminnasta, laajuudesta ja sisällöstä. Kyselykokonaisuus toteutettiin osana Lasteri-hanketta. The data is part of a survey conducted by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, which aimed to provide information on the activities, scope and content of round-the-clock child protection units. The first question asked was whether the municipality in question had any child protection institutions of its own. It was also asked whether the municipality belonged to a joint municipal authority and whether the municipality purchased child protection services from external providers. Next, the name of the joint municipal authority was asked and whether the joint municipal authority had its own child protection facilities, and which municipalities used them.
