ABSTRAK
Permasalahan lingkungan laut yang disebabkan oleh aktivitas manusia
merupakan isu penting di dunia dan menjadi agenda utama Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs). Tujuan penelitian adalah mengembangkan sikap
peduli lingkungan laut anak usia dini melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran
proyek berbasis budaya maritim. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and
Development (R and D) dengan menggabungkan dua model pengembangan, yaitu
model Borg and Gall yang dikombinasi dengan model Rowntree. Populasi
penelitian adalah 207 lembaga PAUD yang tersebar di Kota Ternate dan Tidore
Kepulauan. Pada uji efektivitas model, sampel penelitian adalah 139 orang anak
yang terbagi menjadi 18 orang anak pada uji coba terbatas, 79 orang anak pada uji
coba skala besar dan 42 anak pada uji lapangan operasional. Instrumen penelitian
yaitu lembar kuesioner, lembar penilaian sikap peduli lingkungan laut anak usia 5-
6 tahun dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model. Data penelitian dianalisis
dengan teknik kuantitatif dan deskripsi kualitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) sikap peduli lingkungan laut anak
usia dini di Maluku Utara belum terbangun dengan optimal karena kurangnya
pendidikan yang relevan dan pengalaman praktis. Guru PAUD perlu memahami
pentingnya pendidikan lingkungan, integrasi budaya lokal dan metode pengajaran
yang interaktif untuk mendukung pengembangan sikap peduli lingkungan laut. 2)
Rancangan model pembelajaran proyek mengintegrasikan pendekatan berbasis
budaya maritim. Dalam pengembangan model menggunakan kerangka dari
Borg&Gall dan Rowntree yang direkonstruksi dalam model konseptual, model
prosedural dan model fisikal. 3) Kelayakan model pembelajaran dilakukan oleh ahli
menunjukkan bahwa model ProdaMar layak dan praktis digunakan dalam
pembelajaran memahami budaya maritim dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan laut.
Dan 4) penggunaan model pembelajaran proyek berbasis budaya maritim
(ProdaMar) efektif dalam meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan laut. Model
pembelajaran ProdaMar mampu menciptakan suasana pedagogis yang positif,
interaktif, relevan dan mendukung perkembangan holistik anak usia dini serta
membantu guru dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang menyenangkan dan
bermakna bagi anak usia dini di PAUD di wilayah pesisir untuk menjaga kebersihan
dan keberlanjutan lingkungan laut.

MARITIME CULTURE-BASED PROJECT LEARNING MODEL IN
IMPROVING MARINE ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN OF EARLY
CHILDHOOD IN NORTH MALUKU PROVINCE

ABSTRACT
Marine environmental problems caused by human activities are important
issues in the world and are the main agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs). The research objective is to develop marine environment concern in early
childhood through a maritime culture-based project learning model. This research
method uses Research and Development (R and D) by combining two development
models: the Borg and Gall combined with the Rowntree model in the product
development section or project-based learning programs. The population in this
study was 207 PAUD institutions spread across Ternate City and Tidore Islands. In
the effectiveness test of the model, the research sample was 139 children divided
into 18 children in a limited trial, 79 children in a large-scale trial, and 42 children
in an operational field test and teachers as users of teaching materials. The
instruments used questionnaire sheets, assessment sheets for the attitude of caring
for the marine environment of children aged 5-6 years, and observation sheets. The
research data were analyzed using quantitative techniques and qualitative
descriptions.
The results showed that 1) the marine environmental concern of children in
North Maluku has not been optimally developed due to the lack of relevant
education and practical experience. Early childhood teachers need to understand the
importance of environmental education, integration of local culture and interactive
teaching methods to support the development of marine environmental awareness.
2) The design of the project learning model integrates a maritime culture-based
approach. In developing the model, Borg&Gall and Rowntree's framework is
reconstructed into a conceptual model, procedural model and physical model.
3) The feasibility of the learning model conducted by experts shows that the project
learning model (ProdaMar) model is feasible and practical to use in learning to
understand maritime culture and concern for the marine environment. And 4) the
use of maritime culture-based project learning model (ProdaMar) is effective in
improving the concern for the marine environment. The ProdaMar learning model
is able to create a pedagogical atmosphere positively, interactively, relevant and
support the holistic development of early childhood and assist teachers in creating
a fun and meaningful learning environment for early childhood in PAUD in coastal
areas to maintain the cleanliness and sustainability of the marine environment.

ANALISIS ASPEK KEMASYARAKATAN MELALUI PEMIKIRAN A. SAMAD SAID DALAM NOVEL DAERAH ZENI DAN HUJAN PAGI
Abstrak
Kajian ini dijalankan untuk menganalisis aspek kemasyarakatan melalui pemikiran oleh A. Samad Said dalam novel popular beliau yang bertajuk Daerah Zeni dan Hujan Pagi. Hal ini kerana aspek kemasyarakatan yang dibincangkan dalam novel oleh A. Samad Said dapat menggambarkan kekuatan pemikiran pengarang melalui kreativiti beliau yang dapat memberi sumber maklumat terkini kepada khalayak atau pembaca. Oleh itu, kajian ini juga dijalankan bertujuan mengenal pasti dan menganalisis aspek kemasyarakatan melalui pemikiran A. Samad Said dalam novel Daerah Zeni (1985) dan Hujan Pagi (1992). Di samping itu, reka bentuk kajian ini bersifat kualitatif melalui kaedah kepustakaan dan analisis kandungan teks. Selain itu, teori sosiologi dijadikan sebagai deduktif untuk memantapkan analisis perbincangan. Sebagai kesimpulannya, hasil dapatan kajian ini membuktikan bahawa A. Samad Said bijak mengutarakan cetusan idea dan kreativiti dalam usaha membincangkan isu semasa yang dapat diterima secara terbuka oleh masyarakat di dalam novel popular beliau.
Abstract
This study was conducted to analyze the aspects of society through the thinking by A. Samad Said in his popular novel titled Daerah Zeni and Hujan Pagi. This is because the societal aspects discussed in the novel by A. Samad Said can illustrate the strength of the author\u27s thinking through his creativity which can provide the latest sources of information to the audience or readers. Therefore, this study was also conducted by aiming at identifying and analyzing the aspects of society through the thinking by A. Samad Said in the novels Daerah Zeni (1985) and Hujan Pagi (1992). This study is qualitative in nature by using the library methods and text content analysis. In addition, sociological theory is used deductively to strengthen the analysis of the discussion. This study has proven that A. Samad Said has wisely expressed the spark of ideas and creativity in an effort to discuss current issues that can be openly accepted by the community in his popular novel.
 
Control-theoretic methods for biological networks
Feedback is both a pillar of control theory and a pervasive principle of nature. For this reason, control-theoretic methods are powerful to analyse the dynamic behaviour of biological systems and mathematically explain their properties, as well as to engineer biological systems so that they perform a specific task by design. This paper illustrates the relevance of control-theoretic methods for biological systems. The first part gives an overview of biological control and of the versatile ways in which cells use feedback. By employing control-theoretic methods, the complexity of interlaced feedback loops in the cell can be revealed and explained, and layered feedback loops can be designed in the cell to induce the desired behaviours, such as oscillations, multi-stability and activity regulation. The second part is mainly devoted to modelling uncertainty in biology and understanding the robustness of biological phenomena due to their inherent structure. Important control-theoretic tools used in systems biology are surveyed. The third part is focused on tools for model discrimination in systems biology. A deeper understanding of molecular pathways and feedback loops, as well as qualitative information on biological networks, can be achieved by studying the “dynamic response phenotypes” that appear in temporal responses. Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Siklus Belajar melalui Pendekatan Inkuiri Terstruktur untuk Meningkatkan Kreativitas dan Hasil Belajar Fisika pada SMA Islam Athirah Makassar

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) peningkatan aktivitas peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Islam Athirah Makassar selama kegiatan pembelajaran fisika yang mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran siklus belajar melalui pendekatan inkuri terstruktur, (2) peningkatan kreativitas peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Islam Athirah Makassar selama kegiatan pembelajaran fisika yang mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran siklus belajar melalui pendekatan inkuri terstruktur, (3) peningkatan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Islam Athirah Makassar yang mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran siklus belajar melalui pendekatan inkuiri terstruktur
Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari: (1) perencanaan tindakan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi. Keberhasilan dan kegagalan pada siklus I diidentifikasi, berdasar kekurangan tersebut peneliti melakukan perbaikan-perbaikan pembelajaran pada siklus II.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Islam Athirah Makassar kelas XI IPA 2 semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Instrumen penelitian berupa pedoman observasi aktivitas peserta didik pada setiap tahapan pembelajaran, tes kreativitas, dan tes hasil belajar. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi aktivitas belajar peserta didik pada setiap tahapan pembelajaran, serta tes kreativitas, dan tes hasil belajar fisika pada setiap akhir siklus pembelajaran. Data tersebut selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas peserta didik, kretivitas peserta didik, dan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan implementasi model pembelajaran siklus belajar melalui pendekatan inkuri terstruktur dapat meningkatkan aktivitas, kreativitas dan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Islam Athirah Makassar yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar 100 % sesuai standar KKM 75 dan rata – rata kelas 82,58.

FARIDA. 2011. Implementation of Learning Cycle Model through Structured Inquiry Approach to Improve Creativity and Learning Achievement of Physics Subject at Islamic Senior High School of Athirah Makassar (supervised by Sidin Ali and Abdul Samad)
This study aimed at improving (1) students’ activities of grade XI IPA 2 at Islamic Senior High School (SMA Islam) Athirah Makassar during the teaching and learning process of Physics subject which implemented cycle learning model through structured inquiry approach, (2) students’ creativity of grade XI IPA 2 at SMA Islam Athirah Makassar during the teaching and learning process of Physics subject which implemented cycle learning model through structured inquiry approach, (3) students’ learning achievement of Physics subject of grade XI IPA 2 at SMA Islam Athirah Makassar during the teaching and learning process of Physics subject which implemented cycle learning model through structured inquiry approach.
This study was a classroom action research conducted in two cycles and each of cycle consisted of (1) lesson planning, (2) the implementation of the plan, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The successfulness and the failure in cycle I were identified. Based on the shortcomings, the researcher conducted the remedies in cycle II.
This study was conducted at SMA Islam Athirah Makassar of grade XI IPA 2 on the first semester of academic year 2011/2012. The instruments of the study were in forms of observation guidance on students’ activities in each of learning stage, creativity test, and learning achievement test. Techniques used in collecting the data were by observation of students’ learning activities in each of learning stage, creativity test , and learning achievement test of Physics subject at the end of each of learning cycle. The data then were analyzed by employing descriptive qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to describe students’ activities, students’ creativity, and students’ learning achievement of Physics subject.
The conclusion based on the study was the implementation of learning cycle model through structured inquiry approach can improve students’ activities, creativity, and learning achievement of Physics subject of grade XI IPA2 SMA Islam Athirah Makassar which achieved learning mastery by 100 % according to the KKM standard and the average of class was 82, 58.

„Fatwa als Mordaufruf – eine Medienanalyse von deutschsprachigen und ägyptischen Medienartikeln am Beispiel von Hamed Abdel-Samad
„Fatwa heißt auf gut Deutsch Morddrohung" so lautet der Titel einer österreichischen Berichterstattung über den Mordaufruf gegen den deutsch-ägyptischen Autor Hamed Abdel- Samad, der von islamistischen Predigern 2013 in Kairo gegen ihn gerichtet wurde. Obwohl es sich bei einer Fatwa im islamischen Kontext um ein Rechtsgutachten bzw. eine Rechtsmeinung zu verschiedensten Thematiken handelt, assoziieren viele Menschen mit einer Fatwa Gewaltandrohungen bis hin zu einem Mordaufruf. Die Berichterstattungen in Österreich und Deutschland im Jahr 2013 erwähnten Fatwas generell primär in Gewaltkontexten, berichteten über erfundene Fatwas und nahmen eine Gleichsetzung von islamischen Rechtsgutachten und Mordaufrufen vor. Aufgrund dieser Voranalysen untersucht dieses Forschungsprojekt die Thematik Fatwa als Mordaufruf im Detail: Der Fokus der Betrachtungen liegt auf den Debatten um den deutschen Islamkritiker Hamed Abdel-Samad, über den im Juli 2013 von islamistischen Predigern in Ägypten eine Morddrohung aufgrund seiner kritischen Islamanalysen ausgesprochen worden ist. Viele deutschsprachige und ägyptische Medien berichteten mit unterschiedlichen Ansätzen über dieses Geschehnis. Im Kontext der vorliegenden Analyse wurde auf die Methodik der Inhaltsanalyse von Philipp Mayring sowie auf die Diskursanalyse von Siegfried Jäger zurückgegriffen und die Annahme übernommen, dass Mediendiskurse sowohl vermeintliche Wahrheiten in die Gesellschaft tragen und diese gleichzeitig kreieren. Sie prägen dadurch das Alltagsdenken der Menschen und bestimmen mit, was im Fall der vorliegenden Arbeit über die Thematik Fatwa als Mordaufruf gedacht und gesagt werden kann. Im ersten Schritt werden daher die Aussagen der Medienberichterstattungen dargelegt: An 76 Artikel deutsche und österreichische sowie 56 Artikel ägyptischer Berichterstattungen werden die Fragen gestellt, inwiefern der Mordaufruf und dessen Urheber dargestellt werden und welche thematischen Diskursverschränkungen auftreten. Durch eine kulturübergreifende Medienanalyse werden Parallelen und Unterschiede in der Berichterstattung im deutschsprachigen Raum und Ägypten offengelegt. Abschließend werden die Ergebnisse einer kritischen Gesamtanalyse unterzogen, in welcher auch Hauptprotagonisten wie Hamed Abdel- Samad und einer der ägyptischen Prediger, Abu Isḥāq al-Ḥuwainī, selbst zu Wort kommen.Fatwa as Death Threat – A media analysis of German speaking and Egyptian media articles using the example of Hamed Abdel-Samad
“In plain language, fatwa means death threat“ – reads the headline of an article by a German media outlet. The newspaper article addresses the death threats against the German-Egyptian author Hamed Abdel-Samad which have been issued by Islamist preachers in Cairo in 2013. Even though a fatwa is religious advice or an opinion on a certain topic (varying from religious matters to everyday life), it is widely assumed in Europe that a fatwa is predominantly or exclusively a call for violence. Media reports in Austria and Germany mainly depicted fatwas in 2013 in a violent context, reported upon fatwas that never occurred and equated fatwas with death threats, giving a distorted picture of fatwas and the Muslim community as their issuers and recipients. Due to these findings the following study aims to analyze the topic Fatwa as Death Threat in German, Austrian and Egyptian media outlets in detail. The focus of the media analysis is put on debates over the author and Islam critic Hamed Abdel-Samad, who was targeted by death threats in Egypt after a public lecture in 2013 in which he highlighted parallels between Islam and Fascism. Numerous newspapers and online platforms in Austria, Germany and Egypt reported about the incident from different and contradictory point of views. The research is conducted through the methodical framework of Philipp Mayring’s content analysis and Siegfried Jäger’s discourse analysis, the latter assuming that the power of media lies in the formation of the public opinion and is therefore responsible for the way in which reality is formed by ruling out alternative ways of thinking and talking. According to Jäger’s theory, media discourse has a significant impact on the public opinion about fatwas and as a consequence about Islam and the Muslim community. Through the analysis of 76 German and Austrian and 56 Egyptian articles, this research addresses the questions of how death threats, their issuers and recipients are portrayed in the media and which other discursive intersections can be found in the reporting. This is the first study to undertake an intercultural media analysis that highlights the differences and parallels in the media reporting about fatwa as death threats in Austria, Germany and Egypt. The critical examination of the results of the media analysis includes findings of interviews with protagonists in the discourse such as Hamed Abdel-Samad and Egyptian preacher Abu Isḥāq al- Ḥuwainī
The line-of-balance programme on repetitive works: case study / Shaharuddin Abdul Samad
As if repetitive works might be construction of a housing project in manufacturing of computer components' products and such that has identical unit, one powerful technique had being developed. This technique is known as line-of-balance method and can applied in various fields with repetitive works such been mentioned above. To fulfil the requirement for the degree of Bachelor in Engineering with Hons (Civil), thus the author will only emphasise on the construction industries. Undoubted, in construction industries , there are many repetitive works involve such as residential housing project construction of prestressed beam, delivery of materials from plant to the site, construction of high rise building et cetera. Living in technology of information era now, everything is just on our fingers' tip, thanks to the computer and its software that available anywhere. In making the repetitive works done with more efficiently, effectively and reduce time cost, a computer programme has been developed based on the Line-of-Balance Method. The programme is developed interactively, as the user will feel conveniently to use it The user is then being asked to open two files to restore all the data. Eventually, the output will then can be used for analysing, controlling and lastly can make comparison between the developed programme and progress of the project on the site
Analysis of Preschool Teacher’s Understanding of Marine Content for Children in North Maluku
This research aims to explore the understanding of preschool teachers in marine content for children in the coastal area of North Maluku. The study focuses on how preschool teachers introduce marine content in children’s play activities. This quantitative descriptive research was conducted in North Maluku with 175 teachers as respondents using a random sampling technique. Data were obtained using a questionnaire. The data revealed that the average understanding of preschool teachers in North Maluku in introducing marine content in children’s play activities is 68%, so it can be categorized at a partial level. It means that not all components of marine content can be introduced to children properly
