The Attraction of Beach Tourism in Lampung and Its Influence on Tourist Interest

    No full text
Tourism plays an important role in regional economic development, and beach tourism is one of the main attractions in Lampung. This study aims to analyze the attractiveness of beach tourism in Lampung and its influence on tourists' interest. Various factors such as natural beauty, accessibility, facilities, environmental sustainability, and promotional efforts are examined to determine their impact on tourists' interest in visiting. This study uses a Likert scale by distributing questionnaires through a purposive sampling method to 200 respondents, with Smart PLS 3.0 as the analytical tool. The results indicate that natural beauty, well-maintained infrastructure, and effective marketing strategies significantly influence tourists' interest. However, several challenges such as waste management, security issues, and limited public transportation remain obstacles in the development of beach tourism in this region. Findings from this study suggest that improving beach management, strengthening promotional strategies, and implementing sustainable tourism practices can further enhance tourists' interest in Lampung's beach destinations. This research provides valuable insights for local governments, tourism stakeholders, and business operators in developing more competitive and attractive beach tourism

    No full text
Globally, many problems occur that concern the pillars of the SDGs. Research was conducted to find out whether there is an influence of SDGs performance with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) indicators on financial performance measured through Return on Asset (ROA). The study sampled PT Astra Internasional data because the company regularly publishes sustainability reports and publishes them. Data processing used descriptive statistical testing using E-Views 13 with normality test, heteroscedacity test, autocorrelation test, multiple linear regression analysis, R Square test, F test, and t test. The results of the data analysis showed that the disclosure of the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) sustainability report had no effect on the ROA of PT Astra International. Although PT Astra has fully disclosed its sustainability report to affect ROA, there are still other factors that fundamentally affect the Company's ROA level. This study has limitations in terms of the sample of companies because there are still companies that have not fully disclosed their sustainability reports, so this study uses a sample of one large compan

Islamic Human Development Index as a Development Indicator: An Empirical Study in Indonesia

    No full text
The Human Development Index (HDI) measures human development in the material dimension. This concept has not been able to become a measure of universal human development. The Islamic Human Development Index (I-HDI) measures human development through material and non-material aspects. Specifically, this concept can be a measurement of development in Muslim countries like Indonesia, namely as an effort to increase economic development. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of economic growth, fiscal policy, and zakat on HDI and I-HDI with the maqāṣid al-sharī'ah approach. The research method uses a quantitative approach with dynamic panel regression two-step Generalized Method of Moments (GMM). The results of the statistical test analysis show that three of the independent variables have a positive and significant effect on HDI and I-HDI, namely economic growth and government expenditure fiscal policy in the health and education sectors. Meanwhile, the zakat variable only has a positive and significant effect on I-HDI and has a non-significant effect on HDI. This condition occurs because the management of zakat is not carried out optimally by zakat institutions, and there are no strict regulations from the government in encouraging an increase in the collection of zakat funds in Muslim communities in Indonesia

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is developing as a new challenge in the regulation of copyright law in Indonesia. This certainly raises the issue of creating a legal vacuum and there is no legal certainty. “Creator” in Indonesian law implicitly limits the creation to humans, posing a fundamental challenge to recognize AI as a creator or its work as an object of copyright without human involvement. This research aims to find out how the position of AI as intellectual property rights in the perspective of copyright in Indonesia. The research employed a qualitative method with normative legal studies analyzing the secondary data that consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The results showed that the position of AI as an intellectual property right in the perspective of copyright in Indonesia has not been regulated in Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright

Livability is the comfort of residing in an environment (Lynch, 1998) and reflects the quality of life in settlements. Areas around the Putri Cempo Landfill, though violating PUPR Ministerial Regulation No.3/2013 and facing environmental and health issues, remain a livelihood source for low-income migrants. This study analyzes the suitability of the Livability concept based on seven components (economy, health, environment, infrastructure, safety, community participation, and building conditions) using a quantitative descriptive method through field observations, questionnaires (100 respondents), and weighting analysis. Results show a Livability score of 74.42 (moderately suitable), with optimal achievements in safety (97.5), building conditions (96.5), and health (95), but low scores in environmental quality (20.75) due to air pollution and limited community participation (36.5). Most residents rely on the informal sector (62%) with incomes ≥IDR 2.5 million/month (72%), while basic infrastructure is adequate except for GOS (12%). Although 95% of respondents reported no severe health issues, environmental risks persist. The conclusion emphasizes the need for integrated interventions to improve air quality, expand public spaces, and strengthen community participation to achieve sustainable settlements aligned with Livability principles.

The challenge in the current curriculum is that teachers are not only required to be able to master learning materials, but also to be able to apply learning models that are appropriate to the needs of students. One of the learning models that is considered fun and able to make students active in the learning process is by using a collaborative game-based outdoor learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of implementing a collaborative game-based outdoor learning model on student learning outcomes in class VIII of SMPN 6 Pamekasan. This study used a quantitative approach with the Quasi-Experimental method and the Pretest Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design . The results of the study found that the T-value of 2.216 with a significance level of 0.034 which is below 0.05 indicates that there is a real effect of the collaborative game-based outdoor learning model on student learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects. The significance figure of 0.034 which is smaller than 0.05 statistically proves that the research hypothesis is accepted. In addition, the experimental class with the Outdoor Learning model experienced an increase in learning outcomes of 57%, while the control class with the conventional model only achieved an increase of 26%

    No full text
This study investigates how integrating ethnomathematics into early childhood education can improve the early math problem-solving skills of preschoolers aged 5–6 years. Conducted in Manggarai, Indonesia, the research employed a qualitative case study approach to explore learning activities infused with local cultural elements, including the spider-web rice field layout (lingko), traditional Manggarai houses (mbaru niang), and woven fabric patterns (songke). These cultural artifacts were adapted into problem-based learning tasks to develop children’s mathematical thinking. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with the teacher, and documentation of children's learning outcomes, such as photographs, drawings, and activity records. The data obtained from classroom observations, teacher interviews, and documentation of children's learning outcomes are transcribed verbatim. The coding process is conducted inductively, meaning the codes are not predetermined but emerge from the data itself. The researchers read each transcript and documentation repeatedly to identify statements, actions, or interactions relevant to problem-solving skills. Codes that have similar meanings are then grouped into categories. These subthemes are analyzed further to identify the main theme that reflects the phenomenon as a whole. After the main theme is formed, the researcher interprets the findings by relating them to the research objectives, research questions (RQ1 and RQ2), as well as previous theories or findings. The findings reveal that embedding familiar cultural representations in mathematics instruction enhanced children’s problem-solving strategies, persistence, and conceptual understanding. Moreover, using culturally relevant contexts increased children’s engagement and confidence. This study highlights the importance of integrating local wisdom into early math education as a pathway to inclusive and resilient learning environments

Interactive GeoGebra media embedded in student worksheets: a design approach to foster mathematical engagement in 3D Geometry

    No full text
Geometry, particularly three-dimensional (3D) geometry, is often perceived by students as abstract and difficult, resulting in low engagement and interest. Addressing this issue, the present study aimed to design interactive learning media using GeoGebra integrated with Student Worksheets to enhance students’ interest in learning 3D geometry. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, encompassing the stages of needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The participants were 30 students from a public high school in Cianjur, Indonesia, who were involved in mathematics instruction on 3D geometry topics. Data were collected through student response questionnaires assessing the usability and effectiveness of the developed media. The findings indicate that the GeoGebra-based Student Worksheet media met validity and practicality criteria, with students responding positively to its use. They reported that the interactive features of the media facilitated better conceptual visualization and significantly increased their interest in learning. Furthermore, implementation strategies—such as teacher demonstrations, collaborative group work, and guided class discussions—proved effective in mitigating the abstractness of 3D geometry. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on technology-enhanced mathematics instruction by offering a practical and engaging learning solution. The integration of GeoGebra-based Student Worksheets is therefore recommended as an effective pedagogical tool to foster students’ mathematical interest and conceptual understanding, especially in abstract topics like three-dimensional geometry

Designing Needs Analysis Instruments for Biology Teacher E-Training on Technology Integration

    No full text
Effective technology integration in biology teaching requires competent educators, yet many face challenges, highlighting the need for relevant professional development. This paper details the foundational phase of a larger Research and Development (R&D) project aimed at developing and evaluating an e-training program for secondary biology teachers in Samarinda, Indonesia, via the Universitas Terbuka platform. Specifically, this work focuses on the initial design of instruments intended to understand teacher needs and context, aligning with the analysis stage of the Dick & Carey model. We describe the design process for three preliminary instruments: a survey questionnaire for mapping general needs, a semi-structured interview guide for in-depth qualitative insights, and an observation protocol for contextual analysis. Informed by literature on digital pedagogy and needs assessment principles, these instruments are crucial for ensuring the subsequent e-training program is contextually relevant and effectively targeted. Importantly, the instruments presented herein are initial designs and await validation. This paper contributes by outlining the systematic methodological process for developing these essential analysis tools, a critical first step before subsequent validation, data collection, and program development phases
