Seafarming is an activity of culturing marine organisms, which encompasses broodstock selection, spawning, hatchery, juvenile culture, and mature stages. At the last stage, the fish, once resist to diseases and weather fluctuation, is released to water bodies for restocking purposes. Through restocking, fisherman's cathces are expected to increase in a sustainable manner. One of the technology that can be used for seafarming is grouper cage culture. This technology is quite productive and intensive, with net cages construction are anchored to float at coastal waters. Cage culture of grouper has a good prospective in Indonesia as the fish is highly valued in international market. PEMBUATAN CRACKERS DENGAN PENAMBAHAN TEPUNG IKAN LEMURU (SARDINELLA LONGICEPS)
This research was done in order to diversify and to increase nutrition value of food product especially to enrich nutrition of fisheries product. Fish flour was made from Sardinella longiceps and wheat flour was used as materials to make crackers. The fish and wheat flour in the ratio of (0:100; 10:90; 20:80 and 30:70) were tested to get the best quality of crackers. Sensory quality, proximate analysis and texture test were applied in all products. The protein quality (chemical score) and calcium contents of the best crackers were 89.60 (limited amino acid : methionine) and 550 mg/100 g, respectively.The result of this research showed that the 20% fish flour-added crackers product had the highest rate of sensory quality (color, taste, smell, performance, and texture). It was accepted well by the panelists, and it also increased the protein quality and the calsium content
PENAKSIRAN FUNGSI DENSITAS UNTUK SUATU DATA DENGAN PENAKSIR KERNEL
One of the estimating of density function which has been recognized is histogram. Histogram has some weaknesses, i.e. the different starting points and the width of class intervals. Different starting points or different class intervals result different histogram forms. This article is about the estimating of the density function by using kernel function. This method does not require the determination starting points and the interval class width. The obtained curve has a smooth density function, a small sampling variance, and the important information from data are still kept
PENGARUH KADMIUM TERHADAP GANGGUAN PATOLOGIK PADA HATI TIKUS PERCOBAAN
Cadmium is a toxic heavy metal which causes of environmental pollution and toxic effect to the human and animal life. The specific objectives of the research were 1) to analyze cadmium content of rice and 2) to identify the effect of cadmium on liver function. The failure of liver’s function is indicated by accumulation of cadmium on liver, SGOT value and SGPT value in the serum of Wistar rats. Cadmium was administered by adding it in drinking water. The levels were composed based on highest level of cadmium found in rice. This study was performed by using four cadmium’s concentrations on drinking water which are 0 mg/L (control); 0,06 mg/L; 6,6 mg/L and 66 mg/L. Observation was conducted during 0 week; 2 weeks; 4 weeks; 6 weeks and 8 weeks. The result showed that the exposure of cadmium through drinking water caused pathophysiology effect in rats such as increasing of enzymes SGPT & SGOT and accumulation of cadmium in liver. Pathological effects such as cell degeneration of liver were also observed
INTERPRETASI ANALISIS AMMI DENGAN BIPLOT (Kasus Analisis Interaksi Genotip Tanaman Padi dengan Lingkungan pada Percobaan Lokasi Ganda): Universitas Terbuka
Multilocationtrials play an important role in agronomic research. Theseare often used to analyse the adaptability of genotypes indifferent environments. Multilocation trials also are usedto find out which environment is the best location to adaptfor each genotype that is the highest yielding in the environmentand to determine the pattern of response of genotypes acrossenvironments. ANOVA is used to compute genotype and environmentadditive effects. However, it cannot be used to analyse agenotype-environmental interaction. Principle component analysis(PCA) is only used to analyse non additive interaction effects.The statistical analysis recommended here combines the Anovawith PCA that is Additive Main effects and MultiplicativeInteraction (AMMI) with PCA. It begins with the usual analysisof variance to compute genotype and environment additive effects,and then applies PCA to analyse non additive interaction effects.The results of AMMI analysis is presented graphically in theform of biplots. STUDI KANDUNGAN NUTRISI LIMBAH MEDIA TANAMJAMUR TIRAM PUTIH (PLEUROTUS OSTREATUS) UNTUK PAKAN TERNAK RUMINANSIA
Growth media waste of white oyster mushroom cultivation can be used as ruminant feed. We observed the nutrient content of the growth media waste. The focus is on the protein, carbohydrate, mineral and crude fiber. The protein, calcium and phosphor content of white oyster mushroom growth media waste is higher than the protein content in the media before it was used for mushroom cultivation. However, the fat content is lower after the media was used than control (the media before it was used). The difference is caused by microorganism degradation. The growth media waste can be used as ruminant feed up to 75 % of total forage dry matter without any negative effect
KAJIAN EKSPERIMENTAL FAKTOR REDAMAN BETON POLIMER DENGAN MODAL TESTING
Polimer concrete has different behaviour and different mechanic characteristic than others because it depends on material polimer that are used, so that it caused to be researched and be studied its behaviour and mechanic caracteristic.This polimer concrete was made of prepacked system, consisted of unsaturated polyester (UP) added with styrene monomer (SM) as binder matrix, cobalt napthenate solution (CoNp) as a promotor and methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKPO) as an initiator, and coarse aggregate as inclusion. In this composition, variation of polymer concrete based on percentage of polimer and fly ash as a filler, and any other materials were keeped in constant.The object of this research are to find out values of damping (loss factor), dynamic parameter, so that series of laboratory tests were carried out. Test results showed, values of damping (loss factor) 1,669 – 3,017%. Results also showed that much and much more content of polymer caused loss factor (h ), damping coeffisien (c) and damping ratio (x ) decrease, however it showed that fly ash affected to increase value of dynamic parameter
