    The influence of Self-Concept into the Self Esteem in the Orphanage

    Abstract The influence of self-concept into the selfesteem in the orphanage adolescent Akhiruz Zaman is the aim of this research. The participant is from 80 adolescents (in age 13-21) who stay in orphanage X. the subject is taken randomly using two questionnaire, they are: self-concept questionnaire and selfesteem questionnaire. The result is there is the influence of self-concept into the self-esteem of adolescent. The contribution of it is 18.5% with significant P = 0,000 which is very significant. It has the rest in 81, 5% caused by other factors. It concludes that the matter of adolescent selfesteem that stays in orphanage, one of the factors is caused by the concepts of themselves.. Abstrak Pengaruh konsep diri kterhadap kepercayaan diri di panti asuhan remaja Akhiruz Zaman adalah tujuan dari penelitian ini. Peserta meliputi 80 remaja (usia 13-21 tahun) yang tinggal di panti asuhan X. Subjek penelitian dipilih secara acak menggunakan dua kuisioner, yaitu kuisioner konsep diri dan kuisioner kepercayaan diri. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh konsep diri dengan kepercayaan diri pada remaja. Kontribusi sebesar 18,5% dengan signifikansi p = 0,000 yakni sangat signifikan 81,5% sisanya, disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor lain.     Mrs Implications of Reading the Qur’ān with an Elaboration Approach to Older Adult’s Memory

    This study aims to determine the implications of reading the Al-Qur’ān&nbsp;with an elaboration approach to older adult memory. Participant N = 42 (aged 55-78 years). Participants were obtained using a purposive technique at the Majlis Ta’lim X. This study uses a quasi-experimental approach with a discontinuity regression design. Reading&nbsp;the Al-Qur’ān with an elaboration approach is used to 1) understand the meaning of the verses of the Al-Qur’ān and 2) learn the science of Tahsin and tajwid. The al-Qur’ān reading questionnaire using interactive theory was made to find the implications of reading Al-Qur’ān with elaboration and memory questionnaires applying two-factor theory and recognition. The study results show implications for reading the Al-Qur’ān with an elaboration approach to late adult memory at Majlis Ta’lim X. In conclusion, there are implications for reading the Al-Qur’ān with an elaboration approach to late adult memory at Majlis Ta’lim X.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implikasi membaca Al-Qur'an dengan pendekatan elaborasi terhadap memori orang dewasa yang lebih tua. Peserta N = 42 (berusia 55-78 tahun). Peserta diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik purposive di Majlis Ta'lim X. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan quasi eksperimental dengan desain regresi diskontinuitas. Membaca &nbsp;Al-Qur'an&nbsp; dengan pendekatan elaborasi digunakan untuk 1) memahami makna ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an dan&nbsp; 2) mempelajari ilmu Tahsin dan tajwid. Kuesioner membaca Al-Qur'an menggunakan teori interaktif dibuat untuk menemukan implikasi membaca Al-Qur'an dengan elaborasi dan kuesioner memori yang menerapkan teori dua faktor dan pengakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implikasi untuk membaca Al-Qur'an dengan pendekatan elaborasi untuk memori dewasa akhir di Majlis Ta'lim X. Kesimpulannya, ada implikasi untuk membaca Al-Qur'an dengan pendekatan elaborasi untuk memori dewasa akhir di Majlis Ta'lim X

    Kekuatan karakter dan pengaruhnya terhadap resiliensi perawat di rumah sakit Budi Kemulyaan, menjadi suatu tujuan penelitian ini. Perawat merupakan suatu pekerjaan yang memang menimbulkan suatu job burn out tersendiri. Perawat dituntut untuk bersikap searah antara nilai pribadi dan profesionalitas. Resiliensi bagi perawat merupakan suatu elemen yang sangat penting. Banyak faktor yang dapat mendukung resiliensi bagi perawat. Karyawan ketika ditanya banyak diantaranya melihat dirinya secara negatif. Kekuatan pada perawat akan mempengaruhi seberapa besar kemampuan di dalam resiliensi atau ketahanannya sehingga ia dapat tetap profesional di dalam bekerja. Partisipan dalam penelitian berjumlah 31 perawat, yang bekerja di rumah sakit Budi Kemulyaan, subjek diperoleh secara non random sampling. Pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan analisa menggunakan regresi sederhana. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah kuesioner resiliensi dari Reivich, dan Values in Action Inventory of Strengths (VIA-IS). Diperoleh hasil R =0.375 dan kontribusi efektif (R2) dari variabel kekuatan karakter terhadap resiliensi sebesar 12.8% dengan p= 0.048 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara kekuatan karakter terhadap resiliensi pada perawat di Rumah Sakit Budi Kemulyaan.     Influence of Intrinsic and Extrinsic Learning Motivation in College Students on Choice of Majors at State Universities

    Abstract: This study aims to discover the influence of intrinsic and extrinsic learning motivation in college students on choices of majors at state universities. Participants consisted of 556 students (in their first and third semesters, with an age range of 18-21 years) in the Faculty of Da’wa Science and Communication Science at a state university. Data on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation obtained through non-random sampling utilized a scale adapted from Harter, while choice of majors data employed a Likert scale derived from theory of determination. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine the effects of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on students’ choice of majors. Our results showed that extrinsic and intrinsic learning motivation have significant influence on choice of majors at state universities. Intrinsic and extrinsic learning motivation in college students contributed approximately 10.5% toward choice of majors, with a high significance level (p = 0.000). Intrinsic learning motivation had greater influence on choice of majors, with a beta value of 106.9, whereas extrinsic learning motivation had a beta value of 85.Key Words: extrinsic motivation, intrinsic motivation, students, choice of majors Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pengaruh motivasi belajar intrinsik dan ekstrinsik mahasiswa pada mata kuliah pilihan jurusan di perguruan tinggi negeri. Peserta terdiri dari 556 mahasiswa (di semester pertama dan ketiga, dengan rentang usia 18-21 tahun) di Fakultas Ilmu Dakwah dan Ilmu Komunikasi di sebuah universitas negeri. Data motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik yang diperoleh melalui pengambilan sampel non acak menggunakan skala yang disesuaikan dengan Harter, sedangkan data pilihan jurusan menggunakan skala Likert yang berasal dari teori determinasi. Analisis regresi linier berganda digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik terhadap pilihan jurusan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar ekstrinsik dan intrinsik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pilihan jurusan di perguruan tinggi negeri. Motivasi belajar intrinsik dan ekstrinsik pada mahasiswa memberikan kontribusi sekitar 10,5% terhadap pilihan jurusan, dengan tingkat signifikansi yang tinggi (p = 0.000). Motivasi belajar intrinsik memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar terhadap pilihan jurusan, dengan nilai beta 106,9, sedangkan motivasi belajar ekstrinsik memiliki nilai beta 85.Kata kunci: motivasi ekstrinsik, motivasi intrinsik, siswa, pilihan jurusa

    Enhancing Homogeneity and Particle Size Reduction in Coffee–Creamer Mixtures Using Fluidized Bed Mixer

    This study investigates the application of a fluidized bed mixer to improve the homogeneity, particle size distribution, and moisture reduction of coffee and creamer powder mixtures. The research focuses on three types of coffee particles—Type A (145 μm), Type B (100 μm), and Type C (50 μm)—which were mixed with creamer in a weight ratio of 1:0.7. The mixing process was conducted using a prototype fluidized bed mixer with a capacity of 1,000 grams and a blower speed range of 2,800–3,000 rpm. After 10 minutes of mixing, significant reductions in particle size were observed: Type A decreased by 20–30%, Type B by 10–15%, and Type C by 5–10%, with creamer particles also experiencing a 15% reduction. Moisture content dropped from 10.63% to 8.5%, demonstrating the system’s dual function of mixing and drying. Microscopic analysis revealed a uniform particle distribution with minimal agglomeration or segregation, confirming the effectiveness of the fluidized bed mixer in achieving a homogeneous blend. These findings underscore the potential of fluidized bed technology in improving the quality, stability, and handling properties of powder-based products. The results have important implications for instant beverage production, food formulation, and broader powder processing industries, where consistent product performance is essential

    ENHANCING THE RESILIENCE OF NON-FORMAL EDUCATION STUDENTS AT SEKOLAH JANJI BAIK THROUGH A PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL TRAINING

    Dropping out of school is not a choice anyone wants, and taking advantage of the opportunity to resume interrupted education is not easy, it requires strength and resilience to go through it. This community service aims to strengthen psychological resilience among Paket C students at Sekolah Janji Baik, a non-formal education institution serving youth from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. The program addresses the need for adaptive coping in the face of life challenges, particularly among marginalized learners. The intervention was conducted through a psychoeducational training consisting of motivational narratives, identification of resilience factors (I am, I have, I can), and reflective discussions. The participants (n = 18) completed the intervention and&nbsp; pre- and post-tests using a resilience scale. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests and correlation analysis. Results indicated a statistically significant increase in mean resilience scores (t = -2.439, p = 0.026), with 61.1% of students showing individual score improvement. The program proved effective in enhancing resilience, confirming the relevance of psychoeducational strategies in empowering at-risk youth in non-formal education settings

    The influences of Determination Choosing of the Department in State Universities and Lecturers’ Teaching Style to Students’ Learning Motivation

    This study aimed to identify the influences of determination choosing of the department in state universities and the lecturers' teaching style to the student's learning motivation. Subjects were obtained by non-random consisting of the students for 1st and 3rd semester at state universities in Indonesia. The theory of self-determination for the determination of the departments, Teaching Style Inventory Anthony F. Grasha to the lecturers’ teaching style and Harter Scale to measure student motivation and Multiple linear regression analysis is used. The study was conducted using a questionnaire distributed to 556 students. The results show the number of significance at p = 0.000. which means there is a very significant influence determination to choose the departments and lecturers' teaching style, the learning motivation of students in state universities, with the effective contribution of 21.2%
