    Implementation of Boarding School-Based Educational Institution Management in Character Building

    This research aims to analyze in depth the process of boarding school-based educational management in forming a positive cultural character of students at Trenmatika IBS School Bekasi. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews with the school principal, teachers, musyrif (mentors), students, and parents, as well as observation of daily activities and documentation of school programs. The research findings show that educational management is implemented in a structured manner through the stages of planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation, which are integrated with religious and character values. Programs such as Sholat Khusyu' (prayer with deep concentration), Tahsinul Qur’an (improving Qur'an recitation), time management, and environmental cleanliness are part of a habituation strategy that shapes the discipline, responsibility, and spirituality of students. Supervision is carried out continuously with a reward and punishment system and parental involvement through communication forums. These findings indicate that effective and participatory management can create an educational environment that supports holistic character building. The limitation of this research lies in the untapped aspects of quantitative measurement and a more in-depth role of the family. The implications of this research can serve as a reference for the development of character education management in other boarding school environments

    Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana prinsip-prinsip manajemen strategis yang diterapkan dalam Perang Khandaq dapat dihubungkan dengan pengelolaan pendidikan Islam saat ini. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi pustaka, penelitian ini menjadikan Kitab Al Bidāyah wa An Nihāyah karya Ibnu Katsir sebagai referensi utama. Proses penelitian melibatkan pengumpulan data historis, evaluasi sumber, interpretasi, dan penulisan ulang konteks sejarah. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa strategi parit, ide Salman Al Farisi, menggambarkan betapa pentingnya perencanaan yang matang, kerja tim, dan pengelolaan risiko dalam menghadapi tantangan besar. Rasulullah SAW juga menunjukkan kepemimpinan yang mengutamakan dialog, empati, dan visi jangka panjang, yang menjadi inspirasi bagi manajemen lembaga pendidikan Islam di era modern. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya nilai-nilai Islami dalam membentuk siswa yang tidak hanya cerdas secara akademis tetapi juga memiliki karakter mulia. Dengan menyesuaikan nilai-nilai historis ini ke dalam tantangan globalisasi dan teknologi, studi ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat sistem pendidikan Islam yang relevan untuk kebutuhan masa kini

    This study aims to test and find out (1) the effect of leadership style on teacher work motivation, (2) the effect of the work environment on teacher work motivation, (3) the effect of leadership style on teacher performance, (4) the effect of work environment on teacher performance (5) the effect of motivation work on teacher performance. This study uses a quantitative approach using path analysis through SPSS statistical analysis software. Leadership style positively affects motivation, with significance value of 0.770, greater than significance = 0.05, and a beta coefficient of 0.027. The environment has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance with a significance value of 0.000 which is less than the value = 0.05, and the beta coefficient shows 0.871. Motivation has no significant positive effect on teacher performance, with a significance value of 0.401, less than = 0.05, and the beta coefficient shows the number 0.200. From these results, leadership and work environment will affect motivation and will have an impact on performance. In other words, leadership and work environment, directly and indirectly, affect performance through motivation.

    Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia play an important role in developing Islamic education, but views on them are limited. Islamic education includes more than just the transfer of knowledge, but also values in the teaching and learning process, such as tarbiyah and ta'dib. Islamic boarding schools also contribute to improving the quality of human resources. This study aims to explore the Holism of Islamic Education: A Comprehensive Review of the Management of the Ibnu Abbas Klaten Islamic Boarding School in Central Java. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research, by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The result of this research is the management of Islamic education in the Ibn Abbas Klaten Islamic boarding school, various aspects of management such as leadership, public relations, finance, infrastructure, and dormitory are described in detail. Through a holistic approach, this Islamic boarding school divides its organizational structure into three main units: education, human resources, and finance, with an emphasis on friendship and consensus deliberation. Excellence programs in public relations and media management, especially through IBBASTV's YouTube channel, demonstrate the commitment of Islamic boarding schools in service to the surrounding community. This holistic approach in education management in Islamic boarding schools includes not only academic aspects, but also aspects of cleanliness, safety, comfort, and self-development of students. Various programs and activities are set to support the vision and mission of holistic education, including the use of modern communication technologies such as WhatsApp to improve communication and coordination between stakeholders. In maintaining cleanliness and availability of complete infrastructure, Islamic boarding schools affirm their commitment to providing a holistic and sustainable educational environment

    This research is aimed to describe the school image management during the era of the Covid-19 pandemic in Budi Mulia Dua Junior High School Yogyakarta. This type of research belongs to qualitative research. The subjects of this research were the headmaster, teacher, employees, and student representatives, parents, and local authorities. The data collecting techniques applied were interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis techniques were data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests were applied to test the data validity. The research was conducted through four stages. The first stage was preparing activities based on field situations and conditions, referring to the vision and mission, designing methods and techniques, and equipping facilities and infrastructure. The second stage was the organization dividing the work team based on the teachers’ and employees’ abilities. The third stage was the implementing principal, leading, mobilizing, and motivating teachers and employees to carry out the tasks according to the plan by minding the health protocols. Program activities that used online media used the website, Instagram, Zoom meeting, Google classroom, Youtube, Tik Tok, and WhatsApp Groups. The fourth stage was the supervision utilizing holding evaluation meetings to obtain data of the report results of the report, followed by revisions

    Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini memiliki tiga tujuan utama yaitu 1) untuk mengetahui urgensi pendampingan teknologi pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Canva dalam meningkatkan skill Guru dalam mengembangkan media ajar. 2) Untuk mengetahui proses pendampingan teknologi pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Canva di MTs Negeri 4 OKU Timur. 3) Untuk mengetahui hasil pendampingan teknologi pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Canva di MTs Negeri 4 OKU Timur. Metode PKM menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR), di mana komunitas secara aktif terlibat dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pendampingan. Ada 5 tahap metode PAR yaitu menyiapan Sosial, Community Riset Social Problem Diagnosti, Planning, Political Action, Reflection. Hasil PKM ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Berdasarkan hasil FGD yang di laksanakan, MTS Negeri 4 OKU Timur sangat membutuhkan pendampingan peningkatan kualitas Guru pada aspek pengembangan media ajar berbasis teknologi aplikasi Canva. 2) Pelaksanaan PKM di awali dari penetapan tujuan pendampingan, penyampaian materi, praktik dan refleksi. 3) PKM yang di laksanakan terbukti dapat meningkatkan keterampilan Guru secara signifikan antara sebelum pendampingan yaitu sebesar 24% dan meningkat secara signifikan menjadi 63% setelah diberikan pendampingan. Hasil survey kepuasan peserta menunjukan tingkat kepuasan sangat baik dengan nilai rerata kumulatif 4,87 dari skala 1-5

    In times of crisis the COVID-19 pandemic requires that all aspects of life undergo changes from conventionality becomes digital, and the impact is no exception for institutions Islamic education. This article examines the prophetic leadership strategies in Islamic educational institutions in the era of change due to the COVID-19 Pandemic in relation to the way the institution can survive various changes that occur, under the control of a leader. This research method uses field research, namely field research at STAIT BIAS Yogyakarta with Interviewed several respondents, field observations, and documentation analysis using data in the form of doumen and related data sources contained in islamic educational institutions. Data analysis using miles and huberman methods is by data collection, data reduction, presentation of data, and withdrawal of conclusions or verification of data. Based on the results of research that the prophetic leadership strategy in managing the Islamic education institution STAIT BIAS Yogyakarta during the crisis due to the COVID-9 pandemic is the leadership is trying to provide a decision that is important for all members of the academic community. As for example the policy of sidiq aspect , that the value of honesty built is in terms of presence, at STAIT BIAS Yogyakarta does not use finger print but is written manual in the journal of the presence of both lecturers and employees. The trust or amanah aspect, STAIT BIAS Yogyakarta is accustomed to starting to build that value from a small thing, namely when the meeting is all obliged to record the results of the verdict agreed in the meeting. Its function as a reminder so that the decision can be realized as well as possible. Aspect tablig, the leaders in setting policy decisions not only look at the rules of the Foundation, but consider from the aspect of regulations that develop in the community with the principle of maintaining benefits, for example in the determination of Work From Home (WFH). The fatanah well,intelligence here is how the leader is able to present as a problem solver and provide the best solution. At STAIT BIAS Yogyakarta in the face of pandemic crisis in decision making always considers the aspects of the safety of the academic community and the welfare in general. So that the policies rolled out can provide solutions to what is a common need. The implication of this research has been done as an improvement in scientific characteristics about prophetic leadership related to managing Islamic educational institutions in times of crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic

    This study aims to determine the principal's efforts in improving the quality of education in online learning at SD Muhammadiyah Blimbingrejo Jepara and the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a qualitative approach. The research subjects were principals, vice principals and teachers. Research data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data obtained through triangulation of sources and triangulation of techniques. The results of this study indicate that the state of education quality before the pandemic was quite good. However, the quality of education began to decline after the pandemic and the implementation of online learning. Efforts made by school principals in improving the quality of education in online learning are carrying out their functions as school principals, implementing curriculum according to needs, optimizing the procurement of online learning support devices, and controlling online learning activities.     This study aims to describe and analyze the recruitment system of educators at SDIT Salsabila 3 Banguntapan Yogyakarta, and improve the quality of education through the recruitment system of educators. The study employed a qualitative descriptive methodology. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis from a selected group of school staff. The results showed that the recruitment system for educators at SDIT Salsabila 3 Banguntapan Yogyakarta was described in several stages, namely, administration, interview stages, and reading and writing the Qur'an and micro teaching. The school is looking for qualified educators according to the profile and has a teaching commitment to improve the quality of education at SDIT Salsabila 3 Banguntapan. The school's efforts in improving quality by conducting development programs for educators and evaluation activities every week. The school provides facilities in developing the talents and interests of students with extracurricular and simaan activities to increase memorization which is carried out twice a week.
