Graphics by Andriy Levytskyi
– 1996). Найвиразнішими творами Андрія Левицького стали «панорами» – довгі горизонтальні фризи, техніку виконання яких митець визначає як інталіо («Road to Town», «Love Comes in The Town» (об. – 2002), «Talking to myself» (2004), «Pine Spirit», «Dreamscape» (2005)); Чимало творів Андрія Левицького присвячено також деревам («Дерево» (2013), «My Trees», «My Life» (об. – 2014), «My Greece» (2018), «Дерево жука. Andriy Levytskyi is an interesting modern Ukrainian graphic artist, widely known both in Ukraine and abroad, a winner of a number of prestigious international awards for the best works in the field of graphic art. The artist has performed a series of etchings devoted to Kyiv at the turn of the 1980s – 1990s, combining well-known architectural monuments with symbolic and allegorical images (The House of Horodetskyi, Kyiv Lavra, St. Andrew’s Church, Theotokos (all of 1987–1990)). The theme is continued in the series My Kyiv-1 and My Kyiv-2 (both in 1996). Panoramas have become the most expressive works of Andriy Levytskyi. These are long horizontal friezes, which technique is defined by the artist as intaglio (Road to Town, Love Comes in The Town (both of 2002), Talking to Myself (2004), Pine Spirit, Dreamscape (2005)); a vertical “scroll” can also be considered as a kind of “panorama” (Geografica Nova (2007)). Panoramas are considered a peculiar kind of imaginary landscape, where fantasy architecture is combined harmoniously with beautiful natural motifs. A special place among them belongs to trees beloved by the graphic artist. Panoramas also contain numerous musical associations, allusions to personal memories, and impressions of the author, that lend them a special sincerity and intimacy. The work My Island (2010) also belongs to the Panoramas thematically. The topic of technical devices, which conquer various elements – earth, water, air – but do not spoil or destroy the environment, but rather become its continuation and integral part, appears in the intaglio Railroad, AVIA, Comets, Flights (all of 2009), Aerostation (2013), in the series Sailers (2017) and Sailboats-2 (2018). Quite a few works of Andriy Levytskyi are also dedicated to trees (Tree (2013), My Trees, My Life (both of 2014), My Greece (2018), Beetle’s Tree. Garden (2019)). The artist sums up his understanding of harmony in the sheets Hippo and Chamomile (2012) and Snail (2013), where all living inhabitants of the earth without exception, as well as sailors and retro planes, coexist in a close but peaceful and friendly neighborhood

The article deals with various aspects of the philosophical problem of understanding and selfunderstanding,
raised in the novel Andriy Lahovskyi, by Ahatanhel Krymskyi. The author of the article
traces how communicative misunderstandings between characters lead them, in the end, to a comprehension
of the role of the Other in the process of understanding the world and one-self, as well as tries to prove that
dialogue with the Other and the Self presents the central problem not only for characters in the novel, but
also for its author

We hope that these documents will be useful to historians, who study the history of Ukraine in the first half of the twentieth century, sources, local historians, as they shed light on some pages of our glorious history. Documents are submitted with preservation of language, spelling, punctuation of originals. The scientific novelty of the work is due to the preparation of the publication and the introduction into scientific circulation of previously unknown sources from the personal fund of Andriy Zhuk. Introduction to the scientific circulation of documents of the archival fund № 3807, in particular, unpublished epistolary, manuscripts of A. Zhuk and program documents of parties, societies, the author of which he was, allows scientists to study the features of the Ukrainian socio-political movement of the early XX century
Origin and fluxes of atmospheric REE entering an ombrotrophic peat bog in Black Forest (SW Germany): Evidence from snow, lichens and mosses
The fate of the Rare Earth Elements (REE) were investigated in different types of archives of atmospheric deposition in the Black Forest, Southern Germany: (1) a 70 cm snow pack collected on the domed part of a raised bog and representing 2 months of snow accumulation, (2) a snow sample collected close to the road about 500 m from the peat bog, (3) two species of lichens and (4) a peat profile representing 400 years of peat accumulation as well as a “preanthropogenic” sample and the living moss layer from the top of the core. REE concentrations in peat are significantly correlated to Ti which is a lithogenic conservative element suggesting that REE are immobile in peat bog environments. Snow, lichens and peat samples show similar PAAS (Post Archean Australian Shale) normalized REE distributions suggesting that the complete atmospheric REE signal is preserved in the peat profile. However, the annual flux of REE accumulated by the peat is ca. 10 times greater than that of the bulk winter flux of REE. This difference probably indicates that the REE concentrations in the snowpack are not representative of the average REE flux over the whole year. Despite the pronounced geological differences between this site (granite host-rock) and a previously studied peat bog in Switzerland (limestone host-rock) similar REE distribution patterns and accumulation rates were found at both sites. Given that both sites confirm an Upper Continental Crust signature, the data suggests both sites are influenced by regional and not local, soil-derived lithogenic aerosols
Atmospheric Pb Deposition since the Industrial Revolution Recorded by Five Swiss Peat Profiles: Enrichment Factors, Fluxes, Isotopic Composition, and Sources
Comparative study of the temporal evolution of atmospheric lead deposition in Scotland and eastern Canada using blanket peat bogs.
The temporal evolution of atmospheric lead deposition and its possible sources were assessed in eastern Canada and in western Scotland, using blanket peat bogs as geochemical archives. Short cores were taken from two remote sites located close to the sea. Significant lead enrichments in the upper layers at both sites reflect the increasing emission of lead into the atmosphere due to anthropogenic activities during the last century. At the Scottish site, a region under aeolian influence from Europe, anthropogenic derived lead could be recognized by the distinctive unradiogenic composition (206Pb/207Pb ratios down to approximately 1.115), being clearly different from the pre-industrial values (206Pb/207Pb approximately 1.166). In contrast, the lead pollution in eastern Canada (influenced by North American sources) is identified by a more radiogenic lead isotope composition (206Pb/207Pb ratios up to approximately 1.199) compared to preindustrial values (206Pb/207Pb approximately 1.161). Emission inventories and isotope characteristics suggest that industrial (coal burning, mining) and traffic (leaded gasoline) outputs are the most likely sources during the first and the second half of the 20th century, respectively, in both, western Scotland and eastern Canada alike. The Scottish record is in line with previous studies of past atmospheric lead deposition. However, the Canadian deposit suggests that the wind derived, pre-industrial lead, is less radiogenic as previously implied using sediment archives. These results are thus the first to report pre-industrial lead isotope ratios and concentrations of atmospheric derived aerosols in North America

Abstract
Topicality. Determining the level of effectiveness of the use of physical therapy for non-motor manifestations of Parkinson's disease to stop the rate of its progression.
Objectives of the study: to develop and apply to patients with non-motor manifestations of Parkinson's disease in the early stages a program of physical therapy. To study the effectiveness of the developed physical therapy program by objective and rheoencephalographic examination.
Research results. After the physical therapy, the patients' condition improved significantly. Cognitive, mental functions, motor abilities and manifestations from the side of the cardiovascular system are effectively improved with the help of physical exercises and the whole complex of physical therapy we have developed. Changes in the status of patients after physical therapy for the better were recorded by both subjective and objective survey data. Particularly significant were the data on the improvement of cerebral hemodynamics in the form of recovery of rheoencephalographic parameters. They showed a significant statistically significant difference in patients before physical therapy and after physical therapy in dicrotic and diastolic indices and time of anacrota.
Conclusions. According to the research, the patients who received the developed complex of physical therapy were significantly better than in the group of patients who did not receive the physical therapy, which testifies to the effectiveness of the developed and applied complex physical therapy of non-motor manifestations of Parkinson's disease and allows to recommend it for wider introduction.

Atmospheric Mercury Accumulation Rates Between 5900 and 800 Calibrated Years BP in the High Arctic of Canada Recorded by Peat Hummocks
In this paper, we present the first comprehensive long-term record of preanthropogenic rates of atmospheric mercury accumulation in dated peat deposits for the High Arctic of Canada. Geochemical studies of two peat hummocks from Bathurst Island, Nunavut reveal substantial inputs from soil dust (titanium), marine aerosols (bromine), and mineral-water interactions (uranium). Mercury, however, was supplied to these peat mounds exclusively by atmospheric deposition. Mercury concentration measurements and age dating of the peat profiles indicate rather constant natural "background" mercury flux of ca. 1 microgram per square meter per year from 5900 to 800 calibrated years BP. These values are well within the range of the mercury fluxes reported from other Arctic locations, but also by peat cores from southern Canada that provide a record of atmospheric Hg accumulation extending back 8000 years. Thus, preanthropogenic Hg fluxes in the Arctic were not significantly different from atmospheric Hg fluxes in the temperate zone. In preindustrial times, therefore, the High Arctic was no more important as a sink for global atmospheric mercury than was the temperate zone.</p
