The interviewers Prof. Dr. Samuel Oliveira and Prof. Dr. Alejandra Estevez established a dialogue based on their research, placing emphasis on the relationship between the oral history method and the worlds of labour, especially considering the interviewee's research.Esta entrevista fue realizada a la historiadora Angela de Castro Gomes, quien habló sobre su trayectoria en la formación de la historia oral en Brasil. Los entrevistadores Prof. Dr. Samuel Oliveira y Prof. Dra. Alejandra Estevez establecieron un diálogo basado en sus investigaciones, poniendo énfasis en la relación entre el método de la historia oral y los mundos del trabajo, especialmente considerando las investigaciones de la entrevistada.A entrevista realizada com Angela de Castro Gomes pelos organizadores do dossiê "História Oral e Mundos do Trabalho" foi marcada pela efemêride dos 30 anos de fundação da Associação Brasileira de História Oral (ABHO) e pela relação que a mesma estabeleceu com a metodologia. Ao longo da entrevista, tem-se uma visão ampliada da formação da professora e pesquisadora e da maneira como a mesma praticou a história oral a partir de seu trabalho no Centro de Pesquisa e Documentação do Brasil Contemporâneo (CPDOC-FGV) e na Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), onde atuou no Laboratório de História Oral e Imagem (LABHOI). Seu papel na difusão da história oral, na fundação da ABHO, bem como a relação entre história oral e os mundos do trabalho em suas pesquisas foram temas abordados na entrevista, destacando as obras A Invenção do Trabalhismo (1988), Velhos militantes (1988) e Ministério do Trabalho: uma história de vida e contada (2007).

Embora relativamente pequena, a área abriga uma alta biodiversidade aquática e um total de onze comunidades que tem na pesca artesanal, a sua principal fonte de renda. Angela de Castro Gomes:: trajetória intelectual e percursos do conceito de populismo
No full textThis article analyzes the critical points made by Angela de Castro Gomes in relation to the concept of populism, published in her work A invenção do trabalhismo [The invention of laborism] and in later writings. We seek to grasp how her intellectual experiences in three research institutions – Rio de Janeiro University Research Institute (Instituto Universitário de Pesquisas do Rio de Janeiro [IUPERJ]), Center for Research and Documentation in Contemporary History of Brazil (Centro de Pesquisa e Documentação de História Contemporânea do Brasil [CPDOC]), and Fluminense Federal University (Universidade Federal Fluminense [UFF]) – proved to be key in developing her critiques of the populist interpretation model, especially the formulations of Francisco Weffort on the subject. The analysis of this institutional trajectory makes it possible to think about the way in which the experiences of sociability and the exchange of ideas in intellectual institutions matter in the formulation of academic interpretations. Also, this study discusses the main arguments of Angela de Castro Gomes in defense of the idea of a ‘laborist pact’ as opposed to the idea of populism, with the aim of highlighting how their analyzes contributed to rethinking relations between the State and the working class in Brazil.Este artigo analisa as formulações críticas elaboradas por Angela de Castro Gomes em relação ao conceito de populismo, apresentadas em sua obra A invenção do trabalhismo e em escritos posteriores. Busca-se compreender como suas experiências intelectuais em três instituições de pesquisa – Instituto Universitário de Pesquisas do Rio de Janeiro (IUPERJ), Centro de Pesquisa e Documentação de História Contemporânea do Brasil (CPDOC) e Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) – mostraram-se fundamentais para a elaboração de suas críticas ao modelo de interpretação populista, sobretudo aos trabalhos de Francisco Weffort sobre o tema. A análise dessa trajetória institucional possibilita pensar sobre a maneira pela qual as experiências de sociabilidade e de intercâmbio de ideias em instituições intelectuais importam na formulação de interpretações acadêmicas. Além disso, este estudo discute os principais argumentos de Angela de Castro Gomes em defesa da ideia do “pacto trabalhista” como contraposição à ideia de populismo, com o objetivo de destacar de que maneira suas análises contribuíram para repensar as relações entre Estado e classe trabalhadora no Brasil

No full textThe etymology of the word author refers to an act of creation, an act of augmentation, from the Latin verb augere. Author instantiates creation, the expansion of the pre-existing. In 1967 Roland Barthes declared the death of the author in his famous essay to state once more that the crisis is that of the author as a single subjectivity and as a term that condenses prestige, undermined by the de-subjectivation strategies of automatism, fortuity and fragmentation of the historical avant-gardes, as well as by the machinic act and by the reproducibility of the second avant-gardes.
Fifty years after Barthes’ paradigmatic formula, this lack of authorship appears to be a successful brand. The ten- sions between the anomie of matter, the law that establishes authorship and the economy that makes the work pos- sible, invoke discordant perspectives. Artists make the self-destruction of their work the real work, and appeal is made for the demolition of architectures, whether by a recognised author or not, in order to re-design, or better still, re-claim the territory. Artificial intelligence consolidates its logics and its design by progressively shedding human ingenuity. The space of criticism becomes, finally, increasingly ephemeral. However, there is an acceptation of criti- cism that is, rather than an individual ‘signature’, an exploration and explanation of how design makes theory.
The binomial author-matter seeks to mark these tensions and contradictions: the featured term author is main- tained to underline the persistence of that prestigious subjectivity, at the very moment when the rhetoric of “mat- ter as an author” promises other forms of authorship
