Investigating Reddit to detect subreddit and author stereotypes and to evaluate author assortativity
No full textIn recent years, Reddit has attracted the interest of many researchers due to its popularity all over the world. In this article, we aim at providing a contribution to the knowledge of this social network by investigating three of its aspects, interesting from the scientific viewpoint, and, at the same time, by analysing a large number of applications. In particular, we first propose a definition and an analysis of several stereotypes of both subreddits and authors. This analysis is coupled with the definition of three possible orthogonal taxonomies that help us to classify stereotypes in an appropriate way. Then, we investigate the possible existence of author assortativity in this social medium; specifically, we focus on co-posters, that is, authors who submitted posts on the same subreddit

No full textWe propose a notion of Graph Transformation Systems (gts) with dependency relation, more expressive than a previously proposed one, and suitable for the specification of interactions. We show how a specification using gts with dependencies can be implemented, at a lower level of abstraction, by a transactional gts, that is, a gts equipped with the notion of observable (stable) items in which computations that correspond to "complete" interactions are characterized as transactions

No full textL’"Aminta", testo dal significato aperto e non riducibile a un unico messaggio ideologico, contiene in sé potenzialità differenti, che si prestano a sviluppi libertini e nello stesso tempo non escludono riletture in chiave etica o spirituale. Il presente intervento prende in esame la ricezione della pastorale tassiana in epoca cinqueseicentesca, mettendo in luce l’esistenza di due linee opposte: l’una tesa a ‘moralizzare’ l’archetipo, l’altra a enfatizzare i suoi aspetti ‘trasgressivi’, in entrambi i casi privilegiando tuttavia un singolo versante dell’opera, e tradendone dunque l’autentica profondità.A text with an open meaning, the "Aminta" cannot be reduced to a single ideological message, in that it contains a varied interpretative potential, allowing for libertine developments, which at the same time do not exclude readings of an ethical or spiritual nature.The present contribution examines the reception of the Tassian pastoral in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, highlighting the existence of two contrasting lines: a first one seeking to 'moralise' the archetype, the second one seeking to emphasize its 'transgressive' aspects. Both cases, however, give priority to one single aspect of the work and betray therefore its authentic profoundness

No full textIl seminario ha affrontato il tema del rapporto tra musei scientifici universitari e ambiente, territorio e paesaggio prendendo in esame nuove e possibili forme di interrelazione e collaborazione trasversali finalizzate alla partecipazione dei musei ai diversi organismi e alle diverse iniziative che si occupano di politiche del paesaggio e della cultura ad esso connessaUna rilevanza sempre crescente possono infatti assumere le istituzioni storiche dei musei scientifici universitari sia per le loro funzioni di conservazione del patrimonio ma soprattutto per le loro attività di sensibilizzazione, formazione, didattica e valorizzazione.I Musei Universitari, in quanto struttura della massima istituzione di formazione del Paese, possono contribuire alla valorizzazione del paesaggio anche attraverso una indispensabile attività di educazione alla valorizzazione. I giovani cominciano ad essere sensibili ai problemi ambientali, ma il ruolo del paesaggio come elemento di creatività e di arricchimento merita un impegno maggiore di quello attuale che i Musei Universitari di certo possono contribuire a concretizzare
