Sheikh Feyzullah al-Erzen's opinions on tafseer and Ulumu'l-Qur'an in the work titled Levamiu'l-Cevahir
Bu çalışma, Güneydoğu Anadolu bölgesinde yetişen Şeyh Feyzullah Erzen'in hayatının bilinmesi, eserlerinin tanıtılması ve kayıt altına alınarak bölgenin kaybolmaya yüz tutan değerlerinin sonraki nesillere de aktarılması amacıyla yapılmıştır. "Levâmiu'l-Cevâhir" adlı eser incelendiğinde müfessirin, tefsir, hadis, fıkıh, edebiyat, felsefe gibi birçok ilim dalında önemli bulduğu konulardaki mütalaalara yer verdiği görülmektedir. Çalışmamızda Erzen'in eserinden yola çıkarak Kur'ân'ın tefsirinde önemli bir yer tutan Kur'ân ilimlerinin bir kısmını ele almaya çalıştık. Erzen, tefsir başlığı altında tefsir ve ulumu'l-Kur'ân'a dair önemli noktalara değinmiş, farklı kaynaklardan yararlanarak konunun anlaşılmasını sağlamaya çalışmış ve önemli değerlendirmelerde bulunmuştur.This study was carried out to known the life of author Sheikh Feyzullah Erzen who grew up in sautheastren anatolian region, in order to introduce his Works and convey the values of the region to the next generation by vecordings wich are fade in to oblivion. İt is seen that exegete refer to ideas on subjects in many branches of science such; taafsir, hadith, figh, literature and philosophy that were found important by exegete when the work and titled "Levamiu'l-Cevahir" is examined. Meanuhile in our study; we tried to deal with some of the Qur'anic sciences which have an important place in the interpretation of the Qur'an, based on Erzen's work under the title of taafsir, Erzen touched uphon substantial points, tried to understood the subjecst by benefiting from different sources and also made significant evaluations about taafsir and enlightenments of Qur'a
ULTRAVİYOLE RADYASYONUN (UV-B) NEDEN OLDUĞU HÜCRE HASARINA BAĞLI YAPISAL DEĞİŞİKLİKLERİN İNCELENMESİ
DNA ile etkileşime girebilen, genom bütünlüğünü değiştirebilen ve canlıların normal yaşam süreçlerinietkileyebilen, aynı zamanda kanserojen etkisi olan dışsal ajanlardan UV radyasyonunun (UVR) dünyayüzeyinde görülme olasılığı giderek artmaktadır. UVR' nin bir kısmı (UV-A: 315–400nm; UV-B: 280–315nm;UV-C: <280nm), stratosferik ozon tarafından emilir. UV-B radyasyonunun en belirgin özelliği canlı sistemlerüzerindeki hücresel DNA hasarıdır ve organizmaların normal yaşam süreçlerini büyük ölçüde etkileyen önemlibir olaydır. Hasar karşısında organizmalar, fotoreaktivasyon, baz eksizyon onarımı (BER), nükleotid eksizyononarımı (NER), uyumsuzluk onarımı (MMR), çift sarmal kırılmalarının (DSB) onarımı ve hasar toleransı gibibir dizi spesifik ve yüksek düzeyde korunmuş onarım mekanizmaları geliştirmiştir.Çalışmada uygulama materyali olarak, ücretsiz veri erişim sitesi Kaggle uygulamasından sağlanan UV-Bile DNA hasarı veri kümesi kullanıldı (25.03.2024). Biz çalışmamızda bu veri setini kullanarak istatistikselaçıdan veri setini değerlendirmeyi ve yorumlamayı amaçladık. Veri setinde UV-B ile DNA hasarı oluşturulmuşhücreler ile sağlam hücrelerden oluşan kontrol grubuna ait gri seviye birlikte oluşum matrisi (GLCM), fraktalboşluk, hücre çekirdeği ve hücre zarının değerlendirildiği değişkenler mevcuttur. GLCM algoritması,günümüzde geleneksel teknikler ile gösterilemeyen dokudaki küçük değişiklikleri tespit etmede sıklıklakullanılan hesaplamalı biyoloji yöntemidir. Yapılan incelemeye göre, GLCM kontrast, fraktal boşluk, hücre zarıve hücre çekirdeği için grup ortalamaları arasındaki fark istatistik olarak anlamlı olduğu tespit edilmiştir(p<0.005). Buna göre UV-B ile DNA hasarı oluşan hücrelerde GLCM kontrast ve fraktal boşluk ortalamaolarak kontrol grubuna göre daha yüksek bulunurken, hücre zarı ve hücre çekirdeği daha düşük bulunmuştur.UV-B radyasyonuna bağlı hücre ve DNA hasarının oluşum mekanizmaları üzerine yapılan genişaraştırmalar oluşan hasarın tamir edilebilmesi konusunda bir potansiyel temel oluşturabilir.Anahtar Kelimeler: DNA hasarı, Hücre, UV-B radyasyonu</p
Contemporary American Protestant Attitudes toward the War on Terror: Authority, Theology and Political Beliefs
This thesis examines the breadth of opinions toward the current war in Afghanistan among American Protestants. The thesis presents data gathered from fieldwork in several Central Ohio Protestant churches as well as books and articles published post-9/11. As my data demonstrate, Protestant attitudes toward this war are strongly related to specific theological attitudes, such as how a Christian perceives the figure of Jesus Christ, how one interprets the religious authority (the Bible), and how one defines evil. Measurement of the rate of b anti-b b anti-b events in hadronic Z decays and the extraction of the gluon splitting into b anti-b
The rate was measured using about hadronic decays collected by the DELPHI experiment in 1994 and 1995. Events were forced into 3-jets with and a b-tag was required for every jet. The rate was measured to be: where the invariant mass of every system is above twice the b quark mass. Ottoman Perception of Popular Historical Novels in the Republican Era: Deliler Saltanatı (The Lunatic Reign) Example
In Turkish literature, it is recognised that popular novels written in the early Republican period had frequently criticized the old regime, Ottoman Empire, especially its negative aspects, in order to gain more legitimacy to the new regime. Looking into those historical novels enable us to get very interesting knowledge in this aspect. Writers who developed new insights about the old regime within the roman's possibilities and therefore they fictioned their novels in accordance with the contemporary official historical thesis. Iskender Fahrettin Sertelli who is one of the writers identified with Revolutionary movement of the 1930s had usually written this kind of popular historical novels. The novel of Sertelli named Deliler Saltanatı (The Lunatic Reign), published in 1931 typically exhibits us the Ottoman perception in the contemporary historical novels. There are interesting similarities between the contemporary historical understanding and the author's narrative style for corresponding historical period of the Ottoman Empire along with its figures. COMBINING AN RBF-BASED MORPHER WITH CONTINUOUS ADJOINT FOR LOW-SPEED AERONAUTICAL OPTIMIZATION APPLICATIONS
In this paper, the continuous adjoint method, developed by NTUA in the Open-FOAM R environment, is coupled with an RBF-based morpher developed by UTV to tackle optimization problems in low-speed aeronautics. The adjoint method provides a fast and accurate way for computing the sensitivity derivatives of the objective functions (here, drag, lift and losses) with respect to the design variables. The latter are defined as a set of variables controlling a group of RBF control points used to deform both the surface and volume mesh of the computational domain. The use of the RBF-based morpher provides a fast and robust way of handling mesh and geometry deformations, facing two challenging tasks related to shape optimization with the same tool. The coupling of the above-mentioned tools is used to tackle (a) the minimization of the cooling losses for an electric motor installed on a lightweight aircraft, by controlling the cooling air intake shape and (b) the shape optimization of a glider geometry targeting maximum lift-to-drag ratio by mainly optimizing the wing-fuselage junction. Regarding problem (a), a porous media is utilized to simulate the pressure drop caused by the radiator; the adjoint to this porosity model is developed and presented.
