Curso de Biblioteconomia.Propõe a adoção de uma metodologia para a indexação do acervo de Silvio Knabenn, cidadão de Santo Amaro da Imperatriz em Santa Catarina, visando à representação e recuperação das informações nele contidas, de maneira adequada à sua tipologia e características próprias. O acervo fotográfico de Knabben é composto de imagens que registram o desenvolvimento de uma comunidade ao longo de anos, o que assegura a importância da presente proposta de tratamento técnico do mesmo. O conjunto de fotografias possui valor inestimável como fonte de pesquisa em diversas áreas do conhecimento, possibilitando compreender a evolução de Santo Amaro da Imperatriz. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva abordando a importância da indexação de imagens fotográficas, embasado na literatura existente. Indica metodologia de indexação adequada ao acervo fotográfico de Knabenn e a aplica em uma amostra de fotografias. A indexação proposta poderá orientar o uso futuro da metodologia, servindo de guia para aplicação no acervo como um todo. Ao propor um caminho para a execução da indexação dessas imagens, espera-se ter contribuído não só com o mantenedor do acervo, mas com a comunidade de forma geral, possibilitando que as fotografias preservadas por Knabenn passem a ter outro significado, o de fonte de informação. O presente estudo tem como significado maior ressaltar a importância do tratamento técnico da informação, enfatizando a indexação como uma das formas mais diretas de se atingir o proposto, que é dar um sentido ao documento fotográfico.Proposes a methodology for indexing Silvio Knabben collection, Santo Amaro da Imperatriz citizen in Santa Catarina State, aiming at the representation and retrieval of the information contained in it, a better view of their type and characteristics. The photographic collection of Silvio Knabben is composed of images that record the development of a community over the years, which ensures the importance of this proposal Technician and treatment. The set of photographs has invaluable as a source of research in various areas of knowledge, enabling to understand the evolution of Santo Amaro da Imperatriz. This is an exploratory and descriptive research addressing the importance of indexing images, based on existing literature. After defined the methodology to be applied, it will be applied in a sample due to the large number of items that compose the collection, so that in a continuous work, serve as a guide for use in the collection as a whole. To propose a way to implement the indexing of these images, is expected to have contributed not only to the maintainer of the collection, but the community in general, enabling photographs preserved by Silvio Knabben start to have another meaning, the source information. This study is more meaningful to emphasize the importance of technical information processing, emphasizing the index as one of the most straightforward ways to achieve the proposed, which is to make sense of photographic document
The trophic biology of the holothurian Molpadia musculus: implications for organic matter cycling and ecosystem functioning in a deep submarine canyon
No full textMegafaunal organisms play a key role in ecosystem functioning in the deep-sea through bioturbation, bioirrigation and organic matter cycling. At 3500 m water depth in the Nazaré Canyon, NE Atlantic, very high abundances of the infaunal holothurian Molpadia musculus were observed. To quantify the role of M. musculus in sediment cycling, sediment samples and holothurians were collected using an ROV and in situ experiments were conducted with incubation chambers. The biochemical composition of the sediment (in terms of proteins, carbohydrates and lipids), the holothurians' gut contents and holothurians' faecal material were analysed. In the sediments, proteins were the dominant organic compound, followed by carbohydrates and lipids. In the holothurian's gut contents, protein concentrations were higher than the other compounds, decreasing significantly as the material passed through the digestive tract. Approximately 33±1% of the proteins were digested by the time sediment reached the mid gut, with a total digestion rate equal to 67±1%. Carbohydrates and lipids were ingested in smaller amounts and digested with lower efficiencies (23±11% and 50±11%, respectively). As a result, the biopolymeric C digestion rate was on average 62±3%. We estimated that the population of M. musculus could remove approximately 0.49±0.13 g biopolymeric C and 0.13±0.03 g N m?2 d?1 from the sediments. These results suggest that M. musculus plays a key role in the benthic tropho-dynamics and biogeochemical processes in the Nazaré Canyon.<br/
Estudos ambientais simplificados e o movimento Rio Cubatão vivo: um estudo de caso sobre um projeto de instalação de pequenas centrais hidrelétricas em Santa Catarina
No full textTCC (graduação) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas, Curso de Ciências Sociais.Este Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso tem como objetivo analisar o conteúdo dos Estudos Ambientais Simplificados (EAS) no que diz respeito às possíveis conseqüências socioambientais inerentes ao projeto da instalação de seis pequenas centrais hidrelétricas (PCHs) na Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Cubatão, nos municípios catarinenses de Santo Amaro da Imperatriz e Águas Mornas, bem como identificar e analisar as estratégias e os posicionamentos de diferentes atores sociais em relação a este projeto, de modo especial das que resultaram na criação do Movimento Rio Cubatão Vivo. Foram constatas, assim, várias inconsistências nos EAS a respeito dos possíveis efeitos socioambientais da instalação das referidas usinas hidrelétricas e sobre as medidas mitigadoras propostas, bem como o fato de que a reação negativa a este projeto teve início agregando atores sociais diferenciados que buscaram informações e alianças para o acesso ao conhecimento dos principais aspectos socioambientais nele envolvidos, conseguindo informar e mobilizar a população local de Santo Amaro da Imperatriz contra a instalação das usinas hidrelétricas projetadas, e acima de tudo consolidar sua grande conquista: a suspensão ainda que temporária das licenças prévias, pelo Ministério Público do Estado de Santa Catarina, do projeto de instalação das referidas PCHs
Logarithmic variance profiles and the corresponding f-1 spectra of temperature fluctuations in turbulent Rayleigh-Bénard convection
No full textWe report experimental results for the temperature variance 2(z) and the corresponding frequency spectra P(f) in turbulent Rayleigh-Bénard convection (RBC) in a cylindrical sample of aspect ratioT= D/L = 1:00 (D = 1:12 m is the diameter and L = 1:12 m the height). The measurements were conducted in the Rayleigh-number range 1011 < Ra < 1:35 1014 and Pr ' 0:8. For Ra = 1:35x1014, 2(z) could be described well by a logarithmic dependence on the vertical position z in a range of z 1 < z < z 2 with z 1 ' 70 and z 2 = 0:1L. Here L=(2Nu) is the thickness of a thin thermal sublayer adjacent to the horizontal plate where the heat flux (denoted by the Nusselt number Nu) is carried mostly by thermal diffusion. In the log layer, we found that the temperature spectra had a significant frequency range over which P(f) f with close to 1. As Ra decreased, increased so that the log layer became thinner. At Ra = 2:05 1011, z 2 < z 1 and therefore there was no range for a log layer. Correspondingly, the temperature spectrum near the horizontal plate did not have the f1 scaling form either
Evidence for the decay B0→J/ψω and measurement of the relative branching fractions of meson decays to J/ψη and J/ψη′
No full textFirst evidence of the B 0 → J / ψ ω decay is found and the B s 0 → J / ψ η and B s 0 → J / ψ η ′ decays are studied using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb -1 collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of sqrt(s) = 7 TeV. The branching fractions of these decays are measured relative to that of the B 0 → J / ψ ρ 0 decay:frac(B (B 0 → J / ψ ω), B (B 0 → J / ψ ρ 0)) = 0.89 ± 0.19 (stat) - 0.13 + 0.07 (syst),frac(B (B s 0 → J / ψ η), B (B 0 → J / ψ ρ 0)) = 14.0 ± 1.2 (stat) - 1.5 + 1.1 (syst) - 1.0 + 1.1 (frac(f d, f s)),frac(B (B s 0 → J / ψ η ′), B (B 0 → J / ψ ρ 0)) = 12.7 ± 1.1 (stat) - 1.3 + 0.5 (syst) - 0.9 + 1.0 (frac(f d, f s)), where the last uncertainty is due to the knowledge of f d / f s, the ratio of b-quark hadronization factors that accounts for the different production rate of B 0 and B s 0 mesons. The ratio of the branching fractions of B s 0 → J / ψ η ′ and B s 0 → J / ψ η decays is measured to befrac(B (B s 0 → J / ψ η ′), B (B s 0 → J / ψ η)) = 0.90 ± 0.09 (stat) - 0.02 + 0.06 (syst)

Caracterização geomecânica de um solo residual de gnaisse: Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, Santa Catarina
No full textDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro Tecnológico, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Civil, Florianópolis, 2014.O conhecimento do comportamento geotécnico dos solos residuais catarinenses é de elevada importância, tendo em vista a ocorrência de diversos problemas geotécnicos, relacionados a esse tipo de solo. Cita-se como exemplo, os deslizamentos de terra, mais evidentes e possivelmente mais frequentes nos últimos anos. O presente trabalho apresenta uma caracterização geotécnica de um perfil de solo residual de gnaisse da cidade de Santo Amaro da Imperatriz-SC, através da análise das características geotécnicas do local, ensaios laboratoriais e análises microscópicas. Essa análise objetiva o entendimento do comportamento deste tipo de solo, coletado a diferentes profundidades, portanto, submetido em escala geológica a variações de intemperismo. Foram coletadas amostras em um talude e em um poço de inspeção, executado para esta pesquisa. Foram realizados ensaios de caracterização física, ensaios de compressibilidade, brazilian test, cisalhamento direto e ensaios triaxiais CID e CIU, além de uma análise mineralógica com a utilização de difração de raio-X e microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV). Fisicamente, o perfil de solo residual analisado pode ser caracterizado como silto-arenoso, de baixa plasticidade. As difratometrias de raio-X indicaram a presença de minerais Quartzo e Caulinita, em praticamente todos as amostras analisadas, mas em algumas das amostras observou-se a presença de Haloisita e outros minerais, indicando a herança gnáissica. A resistência à tração das amostras apresentou uma variação de 1,66 a 8,03 kPa, sendo que algumas amostras desagregaram após a inundação. Nos resultados dos ensaios de cisalhamento direto, foram obtidos parâmetros de resistência numa faixa de c` entre 4,2 a 17,1 kPa, enquanto que o valor de f` esteve entre 32,8 a 39,2º. Nos ensaios triaxiais, os parâmetros efetivos de resistência variaram entre 18 a 45 kPa para coesão efetiva e 24,5 a 30º para o ângulo de atrito efetivo. Nas análises dos ensaios de compressibilidade é evidente a presença de cimentação, pois as tensões de pré-adensamento virtual foram todas maiores do que a pressão de terra na condição original. De forma geral os resultados evidenciaram um comportamento típico de solo residual, com a presença de cimentação, além da influência do intemperismo na caracterização geomecânica das diferentes profundidades.Abstract : The knowledgment of geotechnical behavior in Santa Catarina residual soils has a great importance, due to the occurrence of many geotechnical problems related to this type of soil. Such as landslides, more evident and probably more frequent in recent years. This paper presents a geotechnical characterization of a residual soil profile gneiss of Santo Amaro da Imperatriz - SC, through the analysis of the site's geotechnical characteristics, laboratory tests and microscopic analysis. This analysis aims to understand the behavior of this type of soil collected at different depths, therefore, subjected to variations in geological scale of weathering. The samples were collected on a slope and into a inspection borehole, performed for this search. Physical characterization tests, oedometer tests, brazilian tests, direct shear test and triaxial tests CID and CIU were made, and a mineralogical analysis using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Physically, the residual soil profile can be characterized as silty-sandy, with low plasticity. The X-ray diffraction indicated the presence of mineral quartz and kaolinite in all the samples, and in some samples the presence of halloysite, and other minerals were observed, indicating gneiss inheritance. There is a variation in tensile strength of the samples from 1.66 to 8.03 kPa, and some samples were disaggregated after flood. The results of direct shear tests, strength parameters were obtained in a range of 4.2 to 17.1 kPa (cohesion) and angle of internal friction betwen 32.8 to 39.2º. In triaxial tests, the effective strength parameters ranged from 18 to 45 kPa (cohesion) and 24.5 to 30º (angle of internal friction). The analysis of the oedometer tests, shows the presence of bonded in soil structure, due to the quasi-preconsolidation pressure were greater than the ground pressure in its original condition. Overall, the results showed a typical residual soil, with bonding, and with influences of weathering on the geomechanical characterization of different depths

No full textThe essay deals with the Spinoza-Studien (17893-4) redacted by F. D. E. Schleiermacher as a comment on Jacobi’s Ueber die Lehre des Spinoza in Briefen an den Herrn Moses Mendelssohn (1785). The Author considers those manuscripts important for both Schleiermacher’s intellectual development and the German romantic debate on atheism and religion. If the idealist thinkers try to theorize, from Spinoza’s metaphysics, a science of the absolute, and Jacobi elaborates a doctrine of “salto mortale” beyond science, Schleiermacher believes that Spinoza’s philosophy can help to develop the transcendental perspective. Instead of Jacobi’s “salto mortale”, he proposed the conception of the Inerenz of finite to infinite, and instead of the idealistic science of the absolute, he emphasises the immediate feeling of being. The deterministic ethic theorized in the “Rapsodien” (1789-93) can be in this way accorded “tangentially” to a mystic doctrine of the infinite
