No full textDaud Ali's research originally set out to explore the roles that South Asian political ideas played in the transformation of early Southeast Asian societies. He found difficulty linking language practices and ideologies to state structures and social formations. Ali admits that the relations between cultural practice and society are highly complex and shifting, yet believes that an analytical awareness of such may add new perspectives to the developed theories of linguistics and cultural cosmopolitanism currently circulating commonly in the fields of South and Southeast Asian history. He proceeds to summarize the bodied and ongoing historiographical debates that seek to explain Indic influences on Southeast Asian societies. David became an ideal figure for kings in the eschatological period. In the future the promise will be fulfilled, renewed and expanded. Through the prophet Nathan a promise was given to David (2 Samuel 7: 12-17). Furthermore, the continuation of the David covenant can be understood through God's plan for the development of the realization of the restoration of the state of Israel in the midst of the nation's deterioration. Perjanjian Allah dengan Daud merupakan bagian inti untuk memahami rencana Allah bagi perkembangan perwujudan pemulihan keadaan Israel di tengah-tengah keterpurukan bangsa. Daud menjadi figur yang ideal bagi raja di masa eskatologis..Di masa yang akan datang janji itu dipenuhi, diperbaharui dan diperluas. Melalui nabi Natan janji diberikan kepada Daud (2 Samuel 7:12-17). Selanjutnya kesinambungan perjanjian Daud dapat dipahami melalui rencana Allah bagi perkembangan perwujudan pemulihan keadaan Israel di tengah-tengah keterpurukan bangsa. The Human Soul as a Symbolic Message in Contemporary Arts in Malaysia: A Study of Daud Rahim’s Works
No full textThe objectives of this study are to describe the structure of the message and to interpret the meaning of the use of symbols which are the core of a message in the context of the soul through Daud Rahim’s series of paintings entitled “Jiwa” (2013). This study was carried out to approach, understand, and at the same time explain the human soul as a symbolic message in contemporary art in Malaysia concerning aspects of the structure, content, and function of messages from a number of works produced by Daud Rahim. An art study methodology that focuses on an in-depth and comprehensive explanatory system has been used based on an analysis model that has been developed from a relevant conceptual framework which is Human Spirit as a Symbolic Message in Fine Art. The results of the analysis show that the signs and symbols of Daud Rahim’s works want to express the symbolic message of a human phenomenon involving modern humans who are unable to control their passions, so they become egocentric figures who are obsessed and greedy with the material world so that it is difficult to activate feelings of love and affection. affection and slowly erodes the social relations around him. In conclusion, visual artwork is a nonverbal communication tool or media created by artists to convey messages to others regarding issues or problems of humanity, society, and culture, which are repackaged through the use of certain signs and symbols. Jiwa Manusia sebagai Pesan Simbolik dalam Seni Rupa Kontemporer di Malaysia: Kajian terhadap Karya-karya Daud Rahim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur pesan dan memaknai penggunaan simbol-simbol yang menjadi inti pesan dalam konteks jiwa melalui lukisan seri Daud Rahim berjudul “Jiwa” (2013). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mendekati, memahami, dan sekaligus menjelaskan jiwa manusia sebagai pesan simbolik dalam seni rupa kontemporer di Malaysia menyangkut aspek-aspek struktur, isi, dan fungsi pesan dari sejumlah karya yang dihasilkan oleh Daud Rahim. Metodologi kajian seni memfokuskan pada sistem penjelasan yang bersifat mendalam dan menyeluruh telah digunakan berdasarkan pada model analisis yang telah dibangun dari konsep-konsep yang relevan yaitu kerangka konseptual spiritual manusia sebagai pesan simbolik dalam seni rupa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tanda dan simbol dari karya-karya Daud Rahim mengungkapkan pesan simbolik dari sebuah fenomena kemanusiaan yang melibatkan manusia modern yang tidak mampu mengawal hawa nafsu sehingga menjadi sosok-sosok egosentris yang obsesif dan rakus dengan dunia material sehingga sulit mengaktifkan perasaan kasih dan sayang sehingga secara perlahan-lahan mengikis hubungan sosial di sekelilingnya. Kesimpulannya, karya seni visual ialah alat atau media komunikasi non-lisan yang diciptakan oleh seniman untuk menyampaikan pesan kepada orang lain mengenai isu atau masalah kemanusiaan, masyarakat, dan budaya yang dibentuk semula melalui penggunaan tanda dan simbol tertentu.

Many scholars have tried to deliberate and explain the laws of their traditions, starting from classical times to modern times, among them is the book of shari'a known as nama AUN AL MA'B├øD ÔÇÿALA SYARH SUNAN ABI DAUD. In this study, the author applies the reseach library method by making the book ÔÇÿAUN AL MA'B├øDÔÇÿ ALA SYARH SUNAN ABI DAUD as the main book of research objects and supported by various other sources. The problem in this study is to reveal the identity of the author of this book, the background of the writing of this book, and the method used by the author in directing this book. From the research, it was found that the identity of the author of this book was two religious scholars from India who were motivated by Syams al-Haq's desire for his brother Syarf al-Haq to write a simple book of the Sunan Abi Daud which had no length. And the method used by Syarf al-Haq in counseling this book is the simple and simple method of shar tahll

Performance Evaluation of a VR-based Hand and Finger Rehabilitation Program
No full textA five-bar linkage mechanism with two active and three passive degrees-of-freedom (rotations) at the end-effector was used as a haptic device and integrated inside a Matlab/Simulink general framework, in which Handshake proSENSE toolbox was chosen for the haptic and graphic rendering, conceiving a virtual reality based rehabilitation system. Such device can generate forces at the fingertip up to 20 [N], which is suitable for finger and hand rehabilitation. Virtual reality based rehabilitation was conducted in two patients: one with a stroke, and the other with musculoskeletal disease. Two different kind of exercises were proposed. The system was tested successfully. A finger and hand rehabilitation case study and their results are presented. These results show the effectiveness of the proposed application
A multiscale computational approach to replicate the full-scale mouse striatum model
No full textThe present work aims to reproduce and replicate the results of a prominent study in the computational neuroscience field. The objectives of this reproduction are verifying the original claims and results and assessing the research's degree of replicability. In the original study, the authors presented a detailed neural network model of the striatum, a nucleus in the subcortical basal ganglia of the forebrain. The methodology employed for the replication focuses on two scopes: the influence of network size and model complexity on the observed dynamics in the neural circuit. Different combinations of scale and complexity reduction have been performed and compared. The results show similar qualitative behavior, considering the limitations and simplifications adopted. Reducing the size primarily impacted the overall network mean activity and firing rates while simplifying the single-neuron models affected the network responses to cortico-thalamic inputs. Lastly, some recommendations are made for future works: improvements that can be implemented on the replicated models and evaluation and feedback on the documentation and accessibility of the original research
