This research aims to explore the expression of women's freedom in Riyadh
against the patriarchal culture in the novel Gharāmiyyāt Syāri’ al-A’syā by
Badriyah el Bisr. This is due to the fact that women are often positioned as objects
in literary works authored by men. The novel Gharāmiyyāt Syāri’ al-A’syā itself
tells the story of the struggles of four female characters who dare to express their
freedom in challenging the patriarchal culture in Saudi Arabia. Patriarchal culture
remains a relevant issue in Saudi Arabia. However, as a female Saudi writer,
Badriyah has succeeded in portraying a different image of women. Therefore, the
theory used to analyze Badriyah's expression of women's freedom in Riyadh
against patriarchal culture is gynocriticism. This research concludes that Badriyah,
as a female author, has successfully positioned women as subjects in her works.
This representation of women can be found in several gynocritical models,
namely biology, language, psychology, and culture

THE USE OF CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING METHOD TO IMPROVE THE STUDENTS’ UNDERSTANDING ON THE USE OF RELATIVE CLAUSE
Abstract This research was conducted to find out whether or not The Use of Contextual Teaching and Learning Method was Improve Students’ Understanding on The use of Relative Clause at Sorong Muhammadiyah University. The research method employed was quasi experimental groups. The population of this research was conducted at fifth semesters on English Education Department at Sorong Muhammadiyah University. The sample was chosen by applying stratified sampling technique. This research assigned two groups namely control and experimental groups. Each group consisted of 20 students.. Instrument of this research was test. The research gets the result that Contextual Teaching and Learning Method was effective to improve students’ understanding on the use of Relative Clause. The result of test showed that there was significant progress in students. The results of the research showed that mean score posttest of the experimental group was 84 and the control group was 80. It means that the result of the mean score posttest of experimental group is higher than control group. By using the degree of significance 5% or 0.05 in the t-table it was gotten 2.021. So that t-test value was more than of t-table value (H1: 5,31 > 2.021), So that alternative hypothesis is accepted, while Null hypothesis is rejected (Ho: 5,31 < 2.021). It can be proved that there was a significant on Contextual teaching and Learning method to improve students’ understanding on the use of relative clause. Key words: Relative Clause, Contextual Teaching and Learning.Â

ABSTRACT
Scientific competence is all scientific activities to gain any knowledge about nature or find other new knowledge through observation, research, and simple experiment. Blind students have obstacles in mastering scientific knowledge so that they have low competence. The blind students are those whose eyes don’t function as organs to perceive information like other normal humans in their daily activities. Due to the un optimum scientific competence of blind students, it is necessary to have stimulus to build a good and optimal scientific competence for them. This research aims to investigate scientific competence of blind students before and after the implementation of direct instruction model.
This research used pre-experiment with one group pre-test and post-test design. It was conducted in 8 meetings and 6 interventions. The subjects of this research were 6 students. the data were collected by using test and documentation and analyzed by non parametric statistics with sign test. This shows that there are increasing scores of scientific competence of blind student, from 43.33 in pre test to 76.67 in post-test.
The result of analysis by using sign test shows that Z observed is 2.03 higher than Z table with 5% significance for two tails test (Zt=1.96), therefore, the Null Hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted (1.96 < 2.03 > 1.96). Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that there is an influence of direct instruction model on the scientific competence of blind students in Special Kindergarten A YPAB Surabaya.

PERMOHONAN DISPENSASI NIKAH TANPA ORANG TUA ATAU WALI
Marriage can not be implemented if the brides or one of the bride has not reached the age limit that has been determined, which is 19 years for men dan16 years for women. This statement specified in Law No. 1 Year 1974 on Marriage Article 7 paragraph (1). If a man or woman who try to carry out the marriage before that age she must obtain a permission in the form of dispensation of marriage proposed by both parents or guardian of the man or woman to the courts in the area. But the establishment of the Religious Court Panel in Kediri on the application for dispensation of marriage in the case Number: 0024 / Pdt.P / 2014 / PA.Kdr, marriage dispensation petition should be filed by the bride. This study aims to determine the legal considerations of Religious Court in Kediri in defining marriage dispensation which the petition is filed by the bride him/herself, without the presence of parents or guardians in the trial, as well as reviewing the legality of the applicant of such determination.As in this study, the authors used a qualitative approach and field research, while the method of data collection is interview and documentation. The data analysis process was done through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.The results of this study concluded that there are seven consideration of the judge in granting the request for dispensation of marriage without a parent or guardian, namely: 1) The procedural law which applied in the Religious Court of Kediri, 2) The reason for the filing of dispensation of marriage is because the bride is pregnant before the marriage, 3 ) there is no prohibition to marry the bride, 4) the readiness of the bride, 5) There is goodness for the brides, 6) The is an obstacle for the parents to be present during the trial, 7) Maturity of the applicant. As the legality of the applicant of such determination is legitimate, it means that the assignment is not null and void because it already contains a series of proceedings in the trial and it is not considered as reducing the parts of the proceedings. Based on the terms of the substance of the determination, it has a formal function and can be implemented, meaning that copies of such determination can be used as a requirement for marriage in the Office of Religious Court. Such designations have a power from the applicants, in this case the Court of Kediri establishes a state where the applicant can marry to the partner, although age is still under the provisions of Marriage Law No. 1 of 1974.Â
An analysis on conflicts faced by the main characters, Annie and Helen, in William Gibson’s the Miracle Worker
ABSTRACT
Conflict is a common thing in our daily life. We will involved in conflict with others is caused by any differences, for instance, different in the way of thinking, different in needs, desires, ideas. Otherwise, when we can not face the problems experienced on US because of the limited skills, un-satisfaction and un- fulfilled desires so that it will cause conflicts in our life. Conflicts appear when there is no balancing of mind affected the problems in life that come from our selves or our environment. Furthermore, conflict in literary work is unpleasant things that happened or experienced by the characters in the story. Conflict is an open struggle between two or more people, and conflict is an essential thing in drama, hence, any drama must have conflict.
The Miracle Worker is one of William Gibson’s plays. It tells about Helen Keller—who is blind, deaf, and mute young girl—with her teacher, Annie Sullivan. As main characters of the play, both of them often involved in conflicts and it was influenced other characters in that drama.
This study will analyze conflicts face by the main characters in drama text entitled The Miracle Worker using structural approach. The study will find out the conflicts faced by the main characters, the causes of the conflicts and the effects of the conflicts to other characters in the story.
The result of the study shows two kinds of conflicts faced by the main characters, Annie and Helen, namely, external conflict and internal conflict. External conflict is divided into physical conflict and social conflict, whereas, internal conflict is divided into psychological conflict and moral conflict. However, in this study the researcher didn’t find all kinds of conflicts. There are only social conflict and psychological conflict faced by the main characters in the drama where the causes of the conflicts were clearly explained by the author. Then, the effects of the conflicts not only experienced by other characters but also experienced by the main characters. Meanwhile, the causes of the conflicts sometimes are another conflict and the effects of the conflicts create new conflict to the characters.
Based on the finding above, it is recommended to next researchers who interested in analyzing the same data that is The Miracle Worker, to analyze other aspects of drama analysis such as, plot and theme, character, setting, etc. because this play has many interesting aspects to be analyzed
USING DICTOGLOSS TECHNIQUE FOR IMPROVING LISTENING COMPREHENSION OF EIGHTH GRADERS IN SMP TRI DHARMA PALEMBANG
Listening is one of the skills that needed to be integrated in an effective way for the teaching and learning of English to be successful. A technique called Dictogloss was used in this research to find out the significant improvement on listening comprehension and perception of students’ toward dictogloss technique in SMP Tri Dharma Palembang of eighth graders in academic year 2021/2022. Quantitative method was used by the researcher namely pre-experimental design which only used one class. As data source, test and questionnaire were used in this research. The pre-test and post-test was taken from experimental group to find out whether Dictogloss Technique effective to improve the eighth grade student’s at SMP Tri Dharma Palembang. And questionnaire to determine the students’ perceptions on Dictogloss technique in teaching listening. The results showed the experimental class students’ listening improved as indicated by the pre-test and post-test scores. It means t-obtain is bigger than t-table (25.789 > 2.024) and the value of Sig.(2-tailed) was 0.000 < 0.05, means that null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted so there was any significant improvement of students’ listening who taught by Dictogloss. Meanwhile the mean score of questionnaire is 73,44 which showed a positive perception because the result showed the mean score is higher than 60. In short, the use of Dictogloss as the technique to improve students’ listening skill is suggested for teachers in teaching listening
Hubungan Helicopter Parenting dengan academic stress pada pelajar SMA X dan Y di Bekasi

Academic stress merupakan salah satu sumber stres yang umum dialami pelajar, termasuk pada tingkat SMA yang merupakan masa pembentukan kedewasaan. Pada masa ini, siswa dihadapkan dengan berbagai tuntutan akademik dan sosial yang dapat mengganggu tekanan psikologis sehingga menyebabkan academic stress. Salah satu faktor yang diduga berkontribusi terhadap tingkat academic stress adalah helicopter parenting yang dikenal sebagai pola asuh yang berlebihan, terlalu telibat dan protektif secara terus-menerus, termasuk dalam aspek akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Helicopter Parenting dengan Academic Stress pada pelajar SMA X dan Y di Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 296 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling pada siswa SMA X dan Y. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Helicopter Parenting Instrument (HPI) dan Educational Stress Scale for Adolescent (ESSA). Analisis data yang digunakan Analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan (P Value < 0,5) dengan nilai koefisien korelasi positif namun lemah (r = 0.326), yang berarti bahwa semakin tinggi helicopter parenting yang diterima siswa tersebut, maka semakin tinggi academic stress yang dirasakan, begitupula sebaliknya semakin rendah helicopter parenting yang diterima siswa tersebut, maka semakin rendah academic stress yang dirasakan siswa. hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan helicopter parenting dan academic stress memiliki hubungan korelasi positif yang lemah namun signifikan.

Academic stress is one of the most common sources of stress experienced by students, including at the high school level, which is a period of maturity formation. During this period, students are faced with various academic and social demands that can interfere with psychological pressure, causing academic stress. One factor believed to contribute to academic stress levels is helicopter parenting, a parenting style characterized by excessive involvement, overprotection, and constant monitoring, including in academic matters. This study aims to investigate the relationship between Helicopter Parenting and Academic Stress among high school students at Schools X and Y in Bekasi. The study employs a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The subjects of this study consisted of 296 students selected through simple random sampling from high schools X and Y. The instruments used were the Helicopter Parenting Instrument (HPI) and the Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA). Data analysis was conducted using simple regression analysis. The results of the study indicate a significant relationship (P Value < 0.5) with a positive but weak correlation coefficient (r = 0.326), meaning that the higher the level of helicopter parenting received by the students, the higher the academic stress they experience, and conversely, the lower the level of helicopter parenting received by the students, the lower the academic stress they experience. The alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that helicopter parenting and academic stress have a weak but significant positive correlation
