    This research was aimed to improve students' learning activities through cooperative learning model with outdoor learning method at viability organisms on IX A Junior Secondary School 01 Samalantan. Subjects in this study 33 students. The research instrument used is the observation sheet and field notes. Results showed that an increase in activity after the students are given cooperative learning model with outdoor learning method. Based on the analysis of data obtained the increased activity of the students at 72,73% after implementation cooperative learning model with outdoor learning method in two cycles of action.     The learning process with the utilization of biodiversity, social culture and environment one of them can grow problem solving skills. For that needs an effort to improve problem solving skills by making local wisdom as the reference for the learning. The research methods of this study were qualitative with lesson study form, with the stage plan, do and see, implemented in two cycles. The subject of the research was the second semester students of academic year 2015/2016 who follow environmental knowledge course. Aspects measured in cycle 1 and 2 were skills for evaluating problems, managing problems, making decisions, problems solving and making decisions. The result showed an increase in each aspect of skills that is 0,40, 0,41, 0,56, 0,46, and 1,25. Thus, overall the highest increase in making decisions aspects. While the average problem solving skills of student cycle 1 is 2,21 and increased to 2,84 in cycle 2. Thus it can be concluded that local wisdom based learning improves the problem solving skills of biology teacher candidates.  Keyword: local wisdom, problem solving skills, biology teacher candidates.</jats:p

    This research aims to determine the application of problem-based learning to improve problem-solving skills in environmental change material. The type of research used is classroom action, which consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this research were 30 students in class X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 3 Bengkayang. The research instrument used was a problem-solving skills observation sheet. The results showed that problem-solving skills increased from quite skilled to skilled. The percentage of each indicator of problem-solving skills has increased. Increase indicators identifying information gaps and the need for action by 18.97%, processing information to understand problems and making decisions by 19.83%, reaching solutions by 23.27%, and communicating decisions by 18.98%. Thus, problem-based learning can improve problem-solving skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 3 Bengkayang yang berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan pemecahan masalah meningkat dari cukup terampil menjadi terampil. Persentase setiap indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah mengalami peningkatan. Peningkatan indikator mengidentifikasi kesenjangan informasi dan perlunya tindakan sebesar 18,97%, memproses informasi untuk memahami masalah dan mengambil keputusan sebesar 19,83%, mencapai solusi sebesar 23,27%, dan mengkomunikasikan keputusan sebesar 18,98%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru Biologi SMA Negeri di kota Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah survey. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru biologi yang mengajar di SMA Negeri di kota Pontianak yang berjumlah 24 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu teknik komunikasi tidak langsung menggunakan angket dan teknik komunikasi langsung dengan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru biologi SMA Negeri di kota Pontianak adalah media visual, audiovisual dan multimedia dengan persentase berturut-turut 56,48%, 12,04%, 31,48%

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     Abstract This research aimed to identify the implementation of articulation learning model assisted flashcard towards the students learning outcome on viruses material to the tenth grade student of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak. The research method was quasi experimental design with non-equivalent control group research design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, with Xc as the experimental class and Xd as the control class. The data instrument used was a multiple-choice test which consisted 20 questions. Based on the data analysis, the average score of students outcome at the experimental class was 14,25 and control class was 12,66. Based on the test result of U Mann-Whitney, the research obtained -Zcount < -Ztable which was -2,24 < -1,96. This value means there was a significant difference between students learning outcome that used articulation learning model assisted flashcard and conventional learning model. The implementation of articulation learning model assisted flashcard can increase students learning outcome on viruses material to the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak.        Keywords: Implementation, articulation learning model, flashcard, viruses materia

    PENGARUH MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE KARTU ARISAN PADA MATERI SEL TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XI SMA

    Abstract This research aimed to identify the effect of cooperative learning type of kartu arisan toward students learning outcomes. The research focused on the material about cell for eleventh grade science major. The research applied quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. Sample in this research was taken through intact group technique, where eleventh grade of science 1 as the experimental class and eleventh grade of science 2 as the control class. The instrument was a multiple-choice test consisting of 25 questions. The average value of students outcomes at the experimental class was 19.97. Meanwhile, the average for control class was 18.38. Using U Mann-Whitney test, the research obtained -Zcount < -Ztable there was -1.98 < -1.96. This value means that there is a significant difference of learning outcomes between students who use cooperative learning type of arisan card and those who study conventionally. The value of effect size obtained in this research was 0.45 which could be classified medium. It shows us that cooperative learning of type arisan card has an effect as much as 17.36% towards students outcomes, especially in the material of cell eleventh grade science student. Keywords: Cooperative Learning type of kartu arisan, learning outcomes, cell

    PENGEMBANGAN PENUNTUN PRAKTIKUM PEMBUATAN CENIL NANAS PADA SUB MATERI PERAN TUMBUHAN DI BIDANG EKONOMI

    AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of laboratory work guidance for making pineapple cenil on the sub material of the plants role in economy and students’ responses tolaboratory work guidance. The research was conducted by using Research and Development (R & D) method, consisting of six stages out of ten stages, namely potential and problem, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision and limited product trial. To know the feasibility of laboratory work guidance was evaluated by five validators consisting of two Biology education lecturers and three biology teachers from senior high school. Based on validation result of laboratory work guidance, there was 0,99 of CVI value in showed a valid criteria, in accordance to minimum value of Lawshe. There feasibility of all so followed by very high response (81,94%) by students’ to laboratory work guidance for making pineapple cenil, so that laboratory work guidance suitable to be used as teaching materials on sub material of the plants role in economy.  Keyword: Feasibility, Laboratory Work Guidance, Pineapple Cenil, R&D Method, and Responses
