Penafsiran Kelompok Salafi terhadap Ayat-Ayat Tauhid (Studi Tokoh Yazid bin Abdul Qadir Jawas Syarh ‘Aqidah Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah)
Nurul Faizatul Alifah, 1430110025. Judul: Penafsiran Kelompok Salafi terhadap Ayat-Ayat Tauhid (Studi Tokoh Yazid bin Abdul Qadir Jawas Syarh ‘Aqidah Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah)
Menggugat Persatuan Roh Manusia Dengan Tuhan: Dekonstruksi Terhadap Paham Ittihad Dalam Filsafat Abu Yazid Al-Bustami
To Sue the Union of Human Spirit with God: Deconstruction Toward the Concept of Ittihad in the Philosophy of Abu Yazid Al-Bustami. Sufism in Islam has religious and spiritual experience emphasizing more on te spiritual experience of Sufis. This ritual is considered as one way of purification of the spirit or the soul by emptying all atributes that are related to all aspects of earthly life, as well as its relationship with the creatures. This experience emphasizes more on the spiritual nature to juxtapose to God. This spiritual experience could create conflicts and even lead to a mutual misleading. This study seeks to describe the formulation of a union among human spirits based on Abu Yazid?s philosophical thinking. It uses a philosophical approach with the pattern of historical - critical research toward one of the famous sufi?s teachings known as ittiha
Diffusive author(s), cohesive author: Analysis of S/N (1994)
This study indicates the ways in which various aspects of the author(s) are brought forth in Dumb type’s performance art, the S/N production. Previous research has suggested a non-hierarchical organization of Dumb type and the absence of a “privileged author” in Dumb type’s collaborative work, S/N. However, the results that I have investigated from member’s interviews on the creative process of S/N along with my analysis of the recorded images of S/N, indicate a different aspect of the author(s). First, S/N was created through, so to speak, the collective ideas of the members of Dumb type. Further, S/N has at least nine quotations from previous performances, installations, and printed writings, besides the work-in-progress technique. Explicating one of the “author functions” as given by Michel Foucault, each text has plural subjects of the author. However, it has been revealed from members’ interviews that Teiji Furuhashi had a decision-making role in selecting the members’ ideas within the performance. Since then, S/N has had plural subjects of creation; however, Furuhashi is one of the subjects of creation along with the “privileged author.” S/N has plural authors (diffusive authors) yet at the same time, it has a “privileged author,” Teiji Furuhashi (cohesive author)
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Cromoglycate drugs suppress eicosanoid generation in U937 cells by promoting the release of Anx-A1.
Using biochemical, epifluorescence and electron microscopic techniques in a U937 model system, we investigated the effect of anti-allergic drugs di-sodium cromoglycate and sodium nedocromil on the trafficking and release of the anti-inflammatory protein Annexin-A1 (Anx-A1) when this was triggered by glucocorticoid (GC) treatment. GCs alone produced a rapid (within 5min) concentration-dependent activation of PKCalpha/beta (Protein Kinase C; EC 2.7.11.13) and phosphorylation of Anx-A1 on Ser(27). Both phosphoproteins accumulated at the plasma membrane and Anx-A1 was subsequently externalised thereby inhibiting thromboxane (Tx) B(2) generation. When administered alone, cromoglycate or nedocromil had little effect on this pathway however, in the presence of a fixed sub-maximal concentration of GCs, increasing amounts of the cromoglycate-like drugs caused a striking concentration-dependent enhancement of Anx-A1 and PKCalpha/beta phosphorylation, membrane recruitment and Anx-A1 release from cells resulting in greatly enhanced inhibition of TxB(2) generation. GCs also stimulated phosphatase accumulation at the plasma membrane of U937 cells. Both cromoglycate and nedocromil inhibited this enzymatic activity as well as that of a highly purified PP2A phosphatase preparation. We conclude that stimulation by the cromoglycate-like drugs of intracellular Anx-A1 trafficking and release (hence inhibition of eicosanoid release) is secondary to inhibition of a phosphatase PP2A (phosphoprotein phosphatase; EC 3.1.3.16), which probably forms part of a control loop to limit Anx-A1 release. These experiments provide a basis for a novel mechanism of action for the cromolyns, a group of drugs that have long puzzled investigators
Yazman Yazid s Blood and Crown of the Dancer: What a missing film adaptation can tell you
This article investigates Indonesia s Darah dan Mahkota Ronggeng (Blood and Crown of the Dancer) (Yazid, 1983), a discredited and missing film adaptation of Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk (The Dancer of Paruk Village) (1982), a commercially successful and critically acclaimed novel. Using textual and sociological approaches, this article demonstrates the following: how the disappearance of the adaptation can shed light on the cultural constructs of Indonesian popular film and adaptation and how the surviving screenplay, combined with other secondary sources, can reveal the politics of adaptation, society and government in New Order Indonesia. The films loss reveals the poor infrastructure of Indonesian film archiving, the dichotomy of popular and non-popular film adaptation, and the neglect of critically and commercially unsuccessful film adaptations. The screenplay embodies the depoliticization and politicization of critical issues in societal and governmental lives such as indigenous religion, traditional women, supra-local crime and social discontent
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
