Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja persimpangan dan penanggulangan kemacetan yang terjadi pada persimpangan. Persimpangan merupakan simpul pertemuan ruas jalan dan pergerakan berpotongan sehingga apabila terjadi kemacetan pada persimpangan maka akan mempengaruhi kinerja jaringan jalan. Dalam menganalisa simpang tak bersinyal dan bersinyal menggunakan metode Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI) 2014, dimana parameter kinerja yang dianalisis meliputi kapasitas, tundaan, derajat kejenuhan dan peluang antrian. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari survei lapangan secara langsung yang dilakukan secara manual pada hari Sabtu,Senin, dan Rabu pada tanggal 7,9,11 April 2018. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa, simpang tak bersinyal di persimpangan Jl. Kunta Bhaswara– Jl. Ranugrati – Jl. Puntodewo dan Jl. Mayjen M. Wiyono, Kota Malang telah membutuhkan traffic light karena volume lalu lintas eksisting selama 8 jam sebesar 15.043 melebihi standar 750 kend/jam. Dari 3 alternatif skenario penerapan traffic light dipakai alternatif 3 fase belok kiri jalan terus dengan hasil kinerja pada Jalan Kunta Bhaswara (Pendekat A) DS = 0,203, Jalan Ranugrati (Pendekat B) DS = 0,723 Jalan Puntodewo (Pendekat C) DS = 0,769, dan Mayjen M. Wiyono (Pendekat D) DS = 0,841. Tundaan rata-rata diperoleh 22,777 det/skr dengan tingkat pelayanan C,dan panjang antrian sebesar 99,405 meter.     This study aims to provide suggestions for improvements to the layout of the Wiyono Red Brick Small and Medium Enterprises so that a more optimal layout is obtained in terms of track distance, simpler material flow, material handling costs, and designing rest areas for workers in the Wiyono Red Brick Small and Medium Enterprises. The Wiyono Red Brick Small and Medium Enterprises are required to make the track distance shorter and material handling costs cheaper. The necessary data was collected by conducting interviews with business owners and making direct observations at the Wiyono Red Brick Small and Medium Enterprises. This study used the Computerized Relative Allocation of Facilities Techniques (CRAFT) method. The results of the analysis using the CRAFT method show that the proposed layout has an alternative OMH layout of Rp.1,464,676.5, while the initial layout is Rp. 2,831,368.1, resulting in a difference of Rp. 1,366,691.6. The total distance of the initial layout is 269,654 m, while the alternative distance is 139,493 m with a difference of 130,161 m. From the results of the comparison, it is found that the difference between the initial layout and the alternative layout is so large that it is necessary to apply the alternative layout to make production more optimal

    In general, the construction of rural water supply system is made to the design and construction materials are inadequate, so as to have a short lifespan opration with a fairly high level of leakage as happened in the village Wiyono, Gedongtataan, Pesawaran District. The purpose of this study was to redesign the Water Supply System  that already exist in the village Wiyono. The method used is the discharge measurements, measurements of topography, socio-economic surveys, calculation of water needs and budget plan (RAB), while the analysis of pressure and loss of water use Epanet program. Re-planning of water supply is done by counting the number of villagers until 2039 with the geometric method that is numbered 3,161 inhabitants. Discharge of water needed is 11,8 liters/sec, and a debit available on spring Wiyono of 55 liters/sec it is still insufficient to discharge water needs until the year 2039. The results of the measurement of topographic maps obtained height difference between springs with the service area is 113 m above sea level, then the drinking water distribution system uses gravity drainage system. EPANET hydraulic analysis results using the highest pressure is 47,05 and the lowest pressure that is 0,04 so that type of pipe used is PVC pipe with a diameter of between 26-140 mm in length of 5,090 meters. To reduce water turbidity due to changes in the level of turbidity then made slow sand filter basin with a length of 9.5 meters, a width of 4 meters and a height of 2,7 meters. Based on the results of the calculation of the Draft Budget (RAB) The investment needed is Rp. 1,060,000,000.00 with a 25-year life of the project, the obtained prices per m3 of clean water in Hamlet IV Sumberejo Rp. 700,00/m3.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

    Simulation of thermal plant optimization and hydraulic aspects of thermal distribution loops for large campuses

    Following an introduction, the author describes Texas A&M University and its utilities system. After that, the author presents how to construct simulation models for chilled water and heating hot water distribution systems. The simulation model was used in a $2.3 million Ross Street chilled water pipe replacement project at Texas A&M University. A second project conducted at the University of Texas at San Antonio was used as an example to demonstrate how to identify and design an optimal distribution system by using a simulation model. The author found that the minor losses of these closed loop thermal distribution systems are significantly higher than potable water distribution systems. In the second part of the report, the author presents the latest development of software called the Plant Optimization Program, which can simulate cogeneration plant operation, estimate its operation cost and provide optimized operation suggestions. The author also developed detailed simulation models for a gas turbine and heat recovery steam generator and identified significant potential savings. Finally, the author also used a steam turbine as an example to present a multi-regression method on constructing simulation models by using basic statistics and optimization algorithms. This report presents a survey of the author??s working experience at the Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL) at Texas A&M University during the period of January 2002 through March 2004. The purpose of the above work was to allow the author to become familiar with the practice of engineering. The result is that the author knows how to complete a project from start to finish and understands how both technical and nontechnical aspects of a project need to be considered in order to ensure a quality deliverable and bring a project to successful completion. This report concludes that the objectives of the internship were successfully accomplished and that the requirements for the degree of Degree of Engineering have been satisfied

However, lecturer still faces problems to implement such an learning media for impro the pedagogic experience i.e. customizing of software function, developing of a specific educat media, and illustrating of a SCM course content. The purpose of this research is to design dyn learning media for increasing efficiency in conveying subject matter of SCM course. We combin mobile and/or web devices with FOSS of web service to design dynamic learning media. It has a mo of real distribution problem in commodity paddy was captured. We design an interactive Web-based Mobile-based application by using WSDL, PHP and My SQL, and SOAP.
