Transnational Organized Crime emerges into a serious threat to national and international security and stability with an increasingly adverse economic and social impact on States and civil society. This paper will discuss maritime security issues relevant to the situation in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia and in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore. This article will focus on trafficking in persons in the context of maritime security and its challenges in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore. Moreover, it will also discuss Indonesia’s effort to address those issues at the national and regional level
INCREASING REGIONAL COMPETITIVENESS THROUGH ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN ECOTOURISM ACTIVITIES.
Regional competitivesness is originated from an internal forces that produce an
added value. The internal forces is based on technological innovation and
entrepreneurial abilities (Drabenstott, 2006). The innovation is illustrated as a fuel, while
entrepreneurship is the engine. Both are a source of employment, income and welfare.
An entrepreneurial ability of local people on ecotourism activities in the Bromo Tengger
Semeru National Park (BTS NP) has developed naturally (Nugroho, 2006; 2007;
Nugroho and Negara, 2008). The people are often involved in ecotourism development
programs held by the BTS NP. The author’s study (Nugroho, Negara and Purnomowati,
2010) proved that the ecotourism activities were economically viable than the
horticultural farm.
However, these experiences have not fully produced significant benefits in the
development of ecotourism. Characteristic of the ecotourism activities is a cluster (Fodor
and Sitanyi, 2008a, 2008b), which always put the local people in a less advantageous
position. The ecotourism cluster is an ecotourism organization (Prieto, Gilmore and Osiri,
2009) that involve the local people, non-governmental organizations, private actors, the
national parks and government to produce ecotourism entrepreneurship. The result of
research the author (Nugroho, Negara and Nugroho, 2009) shows that the phenomenon
of social entrepreneurship is an important component of conceptual framework of
ecotourism entrepreneurship. This requires all parties to act to be a social entrepreneur
in a framework of ecotourism organization.Iwan Nugroho, Purnawan D. Negara, and Wiwin Purnomowati. 2011.
Parameter utama yang dianalisis meliputi overshoot, settling time, rise time, peak value, dan sudut kemiringan maksimal. Rise time model horizontal lebih cepat 0,007 detik dibandingkan gimbal vertikal.
==============================================================================================================================
The Control Moment Gyroscope (CMG) is used as a stabilizer or balancer for vehicles due to its ability to generate torque proportional to the rate of change of its angular momentum. This property allows for the effective use of CMGs in applications requiring stabilizing torque to counteract external forces or torques that may cause the vehicle to tip over or lose balance. CMGs are considered superior to reaction wheels or flywheels because of their power efficiency, flexibility, ability to stabilize along multiple axes, avoidance of singularities, utilization of gyroscopic perception, and the gyroscopic effect of control moment wheels. These advantages make CMGs highly suitable for applications requiring high precision and control, such as aerospace devices, spacecraft, and certain types of vehicles (Silva et al., 2019). Numerous studies have been conducted on CMGs with various gimbal configurations. This study aims to compare the dynamic response of a self-balancing controlled moment gyroscope (CMG) with two gimbal configurations: horizontal and vertical. The main parameters analyzed include overshoot, settling time, rise time, peak value, and maximum tilt angle. Tests were conducted by monitoring the system response for both gimbal configurations to determine optimal performance. The rise time of the horizontal model is 0.007 seconds faster than the vertical gimbal. The settling time of the horizontal gimbal is 0.0032 seconds faster than the vertical gimbal, and the overshoot value of the horizontal gimbal is 0.11% smaller than the vertical gimbal. The peak value of the horizontal gimbal is 0.01 smaller than the vertical gimbal. From the data obtained, the RMS formula with a reference angle of 0 degrees shows an RMS value for the horizontal gimbal of 2.0933 and for the vertical gimbal of 2.0933. These results indicate that the performance of both gimbal configurations is not significantly different
Surealism in Wewe Gombel Drama Script by M.S. Nugroho
Surrealism was initiated in France by Andre Bretton. In Indonesia, this genre then grows and develops rapidly in most of the drama script. The problem that arises over this phenomenon is whether there is a continuity of this genre when it is reduced to the region of Indonesia, because a work is always born on the influence of socio-cultural conditions that encompass it. And the socio-cultural conditions of Indonesia are of course different from the socio-cultural conditions of France. Issues to be examined is in Wewe Gombel play by MS. Nugroho. A manuscript of Wewe Gombel by MS Nugroho is a surrealism. The form of surrealism in this text lies in the following points. First, it uses myth as the source of the story. Second, in its text, there are also events beyond reason which utilize the human subconscious. Third, the storyline in this drama contains events that can still be traced. The storyline was built on the tangle of events that connect between one and another event which forms an integrated plot. Fourth, the forms of surrealism are used by the author as a means to convey satire of the sickening human condition, especially the bad parenting pattern of parents to their children. There are many satires in almost every dialogue of the drama.</jats:p
Pengaruh Penerapan Green Retrofit Terhadap Life Cycle Cost Pada Bangunan Gedung
This study aims to investigate one of the benefits of retrofitting an existing educational building in its relation to the building’s life-cycle cost. Choosing educational building as a target of green retrofit project and as an object of study for its relevance as an important part of nationwide green project is considered timely, given the fact that there hasn’t been any retrofit project in Indonesia that targets educational building despite its necessity to create sustainable environmental management of educational facilities. The improvement made to the building by the project was measured using GREENSHIP Existing Building (EB), which is thelegitimate standard of assessment for the level of energy efficiency and conservation of buildings in Indonesia. Having been retrofitted, the building was rated Silver based on GREENSHIP EB rating system, and it wasa substantial progress compared to its previously non-rated status. The project had resulted in 0.45% decrease ofthe building’s total life-cycle cost. Furthermore, it was found that green retrofitting that was particularly oriented towards Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Water Conservation as well as Indoor Health and Comfort categories could cause greater life-cycle cost reduction than retrofitting that was undertaken for the whole categories prescribed in GREENSHIP EB
