Abstrak
Gas O2 dalam reaksi antara Na2SO3 dan O2 mempunyai kecenderungan untuk cepat naik meninggalkan cairan sehingga konversi reaksi yang diperoleh rendah. Untuk itu perlu diupayakan menghambat laju O2 segar agar tinggal lebih lama dalam cairan. Adanya penambahan padatan CaCO3 dalam reaksi ini diharapkan dapat menghambat laju O2 dalam cairan sehingga dapat meningkatkan konversi reaksi.
Percobaan dilakukan dalam kolom terbuka berbentuk silinder sebagai reaktor. Kolom diisi dengan Na2SO3 yang sudah dilarutkan dalam air dan CaCO3 dengan jumlah tertentu dan divariasikan. Gas O2 dengan laju alir 1 liter/menit dan tekanan 1,01 atm, digelembungkan melalui dasar kolom. Metode percobaan yang digunakan adalah tidak tunak, yaitu dengan mengamati perubahan konsentrasi Na2SO3 dalam kolom. Percobaan dihentikan pada waktu yang telah ditentukan.
Hasil percobaan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar jumlah padatan CaCO3 yang ditambahkan, maka konversi reaksi antara Na2SO3 dan O2 semakin besar. Konversi yang diperoleh dari percobaan ini untuk kisaran penambahan CaCO3 dan Na2SO3 adalah 0 – 20 gram serta 10 – 40 gram adalah 3,3047 – 47,7632 %
THE EFFECT OF USING THINK ALOUD PAIR PROBLEM SOLVING (TAPPS) ON THE EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION ACHIEVEMENT AT SMP ISLAM GUMUKMAS JEMBER
Reading is one of the crucial and essential aspects in learning a language.
However, based on the preliminary study conducted by doing an interview with Mrs.
U, the English teacher of the eighth grade at SMP Islam Gumukmas Jember, on 14
July 2014, she admitted that the students were still lack of concentration and had
difficulty in comprehending the text. There are many techniques that can be applied
in teaching reading comprehension. One of the techniques that can be applied in
teaching reading comprehension is Think Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS).
TAPPS is a cooperative learning technique that encourages problem-solving skills by
verbalizing one’s thoughts to a listener. TAPPS is believed to have many benefits in
reading comprehension. Therefore, the researcher was interested in investigating
whether or not there is an effect of using TAPPS strategy on the eighth grade
students’ reading comprehension achievement at SMP Islam Gumukmas Jember.
The population of this research was all groups of the eighth grade students’ of
SMP Islam Gumukmas Jember in the 2014/2015 academic year; they were VIII A,
VIII B, VIII C, and VIII D. The research respondents were determined by cluster
random sampling by lottery. Based on the result of homogeneity test, VIII B was
chosen as the experimental group and VIII C as the control group. The treatment was
given to the experimental group, that was, teaching reading by using TAPPS
technique, while the control group was taught reading using lecturing and Question-
Answer technique.
The primary data of this research were collected from the students’ scores of
reading comprehension test (post-test). The primary data were analyzed statistically by using t-test formula through SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences)
program. Based on the output of Independent sample t-test, the value of significant
column was 0.043 which was lower than 0.05. Thus, conclusion could be drawn that
there was a statistically significant mean difference between the experimental and
control groups. It means that the null hypothesis (H0) formulated: “there is no
significant effect of using Think Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) technique on
reading comprehension achievement of the eighth grade students of SMP Islam
Gumukmas Jember” was rejected. On the other hand, the formulated hypothesis (Ha):
“there is a significant effect of using Think Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS)
technique on reading comprehension achievement of the eighth grade students of
SMP Islam Gumukmas Jember” was accepted
There were some difficulties that the researcher faced when conducting the
research. Some students were shy to think aloud because the researcher tried to pair
the students randomly. Thus, the students were unable to think aloud effectively.
With regard to that condition, the researcher let the students chose their own partners.
Some students were also unmotivated to do the task given by the researcher and were
very noisy. The researcher then created a competitive atmosphere by giving rewards
to the best pairs who scored the best among the other students. For the noisy students,
the researcher asked them to control their voice.
Based on the result of this research, it was concluded that there was a
significant effect of using TAPPS Technique on reading comprehension achievement
of the eighth grade students at SMP Islam Gumukmas Jember in the 2014/2015
academic year. Knowing the significant effect of using TAPPS technique, it is
suggested to the English teachers, students, and other researchers to have a good use
of TAPPS technique
Analisis Pengaruh Beban Lalu Lintas Terhadap Tingkat Kerusakan Jalan Soenandar Priyo Sudarmo, Kecamatan Prambon, Kabupaten Sidoarjo
Soenandar Priyo Sudarmo Road often experiences significant stress due to
high traffic volume and load, particularly from heavy vehicles used for various
industrial activities in Prambon District. Additionally, during the survey, various types
of damage were identified, such as pothole, alligator cracking, and raveling. Based on
this, the author conducted a study to analyze the impact of traffic load on the level of
damage to Soenandar Priyo Sudarmo Road. The primary data used included road
damage data, riding quality, and traffic counting, while the secondary data included
road geometric data and Average Daily Traffic. This study used the Indrasurya and
Dirgolaksono (1990) method to analyze road damage, as this method is an adaptation
of various previous road damage evaluation methods, taking into account road
conditions in Indonesia The effect of traffic load on road damage was analyzed using
exponential regression to identify the non-linear relationship between the independent
variable and the dependent variable. The analysis results showed that the types of road
damage found were quite diverse, including potholes, raveling, alligator cracking,
distortion, transverse and longitudinal cracks, rutting, patching, and edge
deterioration. Based on the analysis per segment, the average damage value per
segment ranged from 18.85% to 45.16%, with riding quality in the RQ 1 to RQ 3
categories. Regression showed that heavy vehicles, particularly ESAL 1.2–22 trailers,
had the most significant impact on road damage with an R² value of 0.905. This study
indicates that traffic load, particularly from heavy vehicles, significantly contributes
to road damage. Based on these results, recommended road maintenance is
categorized into light, moderate, and no maintenance, depending on the condition of
each segment

Novel Alisya The work of Muhammad Makhdlori recounts the inner conflict of the main character Alisya against herself and her environment. This novel discusses the reality of human life is closely related to the problems of life that affects the development of psychology. The purpose of this study is to describe the intrinsic elements that exist in Alisya's novel and reveal the personality of Alisya as the main character. The author uses a fictional structure to describe the element of the novel builder (figure and characterization, plot, and background). The author also uses the theory of literary psychology that focuses on psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud to examine the personality of the main character through the structure of personality id, ego and superego.
The result of structural analysis of Alisya's novel contains eleven figures consisting of one main character and ten additional characters; The plot of Alisya's novel is an advanced path; The setting contained in this novel is the setting of time, place, and social.
The result of the analysis of personality structure in outline of Alisya figure has no balance between Id, Ego and Superego. Alisya's id and ego are so prominent that she is incapable of controlling her attitude and behavior. Although initially the more dominant Alisya character shows the aspect id and ego, but superego aspects of the morality of her personality can make Alisya back to the right way.

The Effect of Using Think Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) on the Eight
This research was intended to investigate whether or not there was a significant effect of using
Think Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) technique on the eighth grade students’ reading
comprehension achievement at SMP Islam Gumukmas Jember. The area and subjects of this
research were chosen purposively by using purposive method. Because this research was a quasiexperimental
research with Post-test Only Control Group Design, there were two groups of
students, they were the experimental and control groups. Then, to know whether or not there was
a significant effect of using TAPPS technique on reading comprehension achievement, it was used
as teaching technique in teaching reading in this research. The result revealed that the use of
TAPPS technique on reading comprehension achievement was effective. This could be seen from
the t-test analysis. The value of significance (2-tailed) was less than 0.05 (confidence interval
95%) that was 0.043. It indicated that the result of t-test analysis was significant . This is likely
due to the implementation of TAPPS technique in the teaching learning process
PENERAPAN METODE KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KETERAMPILAN BOLAVOLI PADA SISWA KELAS XI TSM SMK MURNI 1 SURAKARTA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2015/2016
ABSTRACT Pujiatmono Priyo Sumbodo. THE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) TYPE OF COOPERATIVE METHOD APPLICATION TO IMPROVE VOLLEYBALL SKILL LEARNING OUTCOME IN THE 11TH TSM GRADERS OF SMK MURNI 1 SURAKARTA IN THE SCHOOL YEAR OF 2015/2016. Thesis. Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Surakarta Sebelas Maret University, March 2016. The objective of research was to improve the learning outcome of volleyball skill through Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative method in the 11th TSM graders of SMK Murni 1 Surakarta in the school year of 2015/2016. This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of research was the 11th TSM graders of SMK Murni 1 Surakarta consisting of 27 students. Data source derived from teacher, students, and author. Techniques of collecting data used were observation, assessment and documentation or archive. Data validation was carried out using data triangulation technique. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive analysis technique based on qualitative analysis with percentage. Based on the result of data analysis in chapter IV, it could be found that the significant improvement occurred from pre-cycle to cycle I and from cycle I to cycle II. In pre-cycle, the learning outcome of volleyball skill belonging to very good criterion was 0%, to good was 3.70%, to fair was 29.63%, to poor was 59.26% and to very poor was 7.41%, with 9 students passing successfully. In the cycle II , the learning outcome of volleyball skill belonging to very good criterion was 0%, to good was 7.41%, to fair was 59.26%, to poor was 25.92% and to very poor was 7.41%, with 18 students passing successfully. In cycle II, the learning outcome of volleyball skill belonging to very good criterion was 7.41%, to good was 25.93%, to fair was 59.26%, to poor was 3.70% and to very poor was 3.70%, with 25 out of totally 27 (92.59%) students passing successfully and 2 students (7.41%) not passing successfully. The improvement occurred in cycle I and cycle II. The learning outcome of volleyball skill had achieved the intended target in cycle II and even surpassed the target despite not all students passing successfully in volleyball skill material. The conclusion of research was that the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative method application could improve volleyball skill learning outcomes in the 11th TSM graders of SMK Murni 1 Surakarta in the school year of 2015/2016. (the Effect of Temperature, Duration of Heat Treatment and Potasium Hydroxide Concentration on the Transformation of Eugenol Inti Iso-Eugenol Derived From Clove Leaf Oil)
Iso-eugenol is one that the compounds which is used as flavor and fragrance materials. The compounds can prepared synthetically from eugenol through a chemical reaction at certain temperature and basic concentration. It was of observed that the concentration of KOH solution and the duration of heat treatment had significantly affected the transformation of eugenol into iso-eugenol. The higher yield was found (82.88%) when eugenol was treated with 50% of KOH at 180 C for 90 minutes
.(the Effect of Drying Temperature and Treatment of Areca Fruit(Areca Cathecu L.)on the Quantity of Whole Seed)
Areca nut (Areca cathecu)is an export commodity which still face problem in its preparation.sun drying of areca nut done by the farmers needed 30 days or more.To reduce the drying time ,variation of drying temperature and treatment on the fruit was studied.The study aimed at obtaining the proper drying condition after which the dried fruit could be easly broken and the percantage of whole nut is high.The temperature used were 60,80,and 100 degree C,while the treatment applied were whole fruit (no treatment),scratched fruit and partially peeled fruit.The result showed that the best drying temperature was 100 degree C.The drying time needed was hours which resulted in 80%whole nut with 13.66% moisture content
Pembaharuan Hukum Acara Pidana Melalui Mekanisme Afdoening Buiten Process
Law of Criminal procedure is a framework for law enforcement officers to carry out law enforcing duties in enforcing the law, which contained in the Criminal Procedure Code. In its development, reforms needed in the Criminal Procedure Code. One of which is by adopting a mechanism or provisions for the settlement of cases out of court or Alternative Dispute Resolution (afdoening issuer process). This article aims to examine the significance of reform in the penal system in Indonesia. Through the spirit of actualising justice, usefulness, and legal certainty in criminal law, the author tries to describe the systematic problems of punishment in Indonesia. Also, the author uses several approaches, including a statutory, a conceptual, and a case approach. The results of the study reveal that the Indonesian criminal system enriched with corporal punishment. As the purpose of punishment adopted by the Indonesian is a combination of distributive theory and utilitarian theory, the emergence of Prosecutor's Regulation Number 15 of 2020 concerning Cessation of criminal Prosecution Based on Restorative Justice is the practical strategy to produce justice, benefit and legal certainty
