Ward. This article is therefore an attempt to answer the following questions: How is global media ethics understood by Stephen J.A. Ward? Why is it so necessary from his scientific perspective? What is the state of research on global media ethics in the research activities of Stephen J.A. Ward? Who among the researchers - apart from Ward - undertakes this topic? In order to implement the basic methodological assumptions, the methods of content analysis and systematic literature review were used. The research material - to define the theory of global media ethics by Stephen J.A. Ward - consists of the scientific publications of Stephen J.A. Ward

The pattern of the letter as a tool for education and upbringing of children and youth in the XIX century (based on the letter-writing manuals by Józef Chociszewski)
The article analyzes the XIX century collection of letter patterns prepared by Józef Chociszewski for children and youths: Listownik dla młodzieży zawierający wzory listów z dodatkiem powinszowań, łamigłówek, wierszyków, powiastek i nauki grzeczności dla młodzieży (Bytom 1900). Letters included in this publication were examined in terms of the author’s use of their species traits (at the structural, pragmatic, cognitive and stylistic level) for youth education. The pattern of the letter by Chociszewski is not only a collection of examples of kids’ and youths’ correspondence, but above all a tool for various aspects of education and upbringing of young Poles during the partitions. The author tried to develop general language skills in his readers and encourage the use of the Polish language, presenting a very wide selection of lexis, formulas and stylistic means for reproduction in various communication situations. He taught them ”language savoir-vivre”. A clear educational purpose were also: a selection of the content of fictitious letters, selection of the authors of authentic letters and the rich system of values characteristic in the Polish Catholic family presented in the letters. In this way, J. Chociszewski aimed to show the Polish culture in the letter-writing manuals and to shape Polish national consciousness.W artykule poddano analizie XIX-wieczny zbiór wzorów listów przygotowany przez Józefa Chociszewskiego dla dzieci i młodzieży: Listownik dla młodzieży zawierający wzory listów z dodatkiem powinszowań, łamigłówek, wierszyków, powiastek i nauki grzeczności dla młodzieży (Bytom 1900). Chociszewski dążył w ten sposób do ukazania w listowniku polskiej kultury i do kształtowania polskiej świadomości narodowej

Neutron skin thickness in the droplet model with surface width dependence: Indications of softness of the nuclear symmetry energy
We analyze the neutron skin thickness in finite nuclei with the droplet model and effective nuclear interactions. The ratio of the bulk symmetry energy J to the so-called surface stiffness coefficient Q has in the droplet model a prominent role in driving the size of neutron skins. We present a correlation between the density derivative of the nuclear symmetry energy at saturation and the J/Q ratio. We emphasize the role of the surface widths of the neutron and proton density profiles in the calculation of the neutron skin thickness when one uses realistic mean-field effective interactions. Next, taking as experimental baseline the neutron skin sizes measured in 26 antiprotonic atoms along the mass table, we explore constraints arising from neutron skins on the value of the J/Q ratio. The results favor a relatively soft symmetry energy at subsaturation densities. Our predictions are compared with the recent constraints derived from other experimental observables. Though the various extractions predict different ranges of values, one finds a narrow window L∼45-75 MeV for the coefficient L that characterizes the density derivative of the symmetry energy that is compatible with all the different empirical indications

A Tripartite Post-Recession Rebalancing
In this latest Advance & Rutgers Report, entitled “A Tripartite Post-Recession Rebalancing,” Dean James W. Hughes and Professor Joseph J. Seneca deliver an incisive assessment of the current market conditions and obstacles in the path of our economic recovery. They offer a statistical cautionary tale that the private and public sector need to hear and acknowledge in order for the economy to make continued progress. This report was published as Issue Paper Number 7, November 2011, in Advance & Rutgers Report
Evidence for the decay B0→J/ψω and measurement of the relative branching fractions of meson decays to J/ψη and J/ψη′
First evidence of the B 0 → J / ψ ω decay is found and the B s 0 → J / ψ η and B s 0 → J / ψ η ′ decays are studied using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb -1 collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of sqrt(s) = 7 TeV. The branching fractions of these decays are measured relative to that of the B 0 → J / ψ ρ 0 decay:frac(B (B 0 → J / ψ ω), B (B 0 → J / ψ ρ 0)) = 0.89 ± 0.19 (stat) - 0.13 + 0.07 (syst),frac(B (B s 0 → J / ψ η), B (B 0 → J / ψ ρ 0)) = 14.0 ± 1.2 (stat) - 1.5 + 1.1 (syst) - 1.0 + 1.1 (frac(f d, f s)),frac(B (B s 0 → J / ψ η ′), B (B 0 → J / ψ ρ 0)) = 12.7 ± 1.1 (stat) - 1.3 + 0.5 (syst) - 0.9 + 1.0 (frac(f d, f s)), where the last uncertainty is due to the knowledge of f d / f s, the ratio of b-quark hadronization factors that accounts for the different production rate of B 0 and B s 0 mesons. The ratio of the branching fractions of B s 0 → J / ψ η ′ and B s 0 → J / ψ η decays is measured to befrac(B (B s 0 → J / ψ η ′), B (B s 0 → J / ψ η)) = 0.90 ± 0.09 (stat) - 0.02 + 0.06 (syst)
Factors influencing butterfly diversity in a long-term experiment differing in grazing intensity
Reducing grazing intensity offers opportunities for maintaining and enhancing biodiversity. By creating a heterogeneous mosaic of patches differing in sward height and vegetation composition, extensive grazing provides good opportunities for diverse butterfly assemblages. Here, we report long-term effects of three grazing intensities (adjusted by target compressed sward heights: 6 cm and 12 cm since 2002 and additionally 18 cm since 2005) arranged in a randomized block design with three replicates, on a continuously stocked pasture grazed by cattle in the Solling Uplands, Germany. Data on butterfly species richness and abundance were collected from 2003 and 2004 and again in 2010 and 2011 on three 50 m-transects per paddock on three occasions in summer. Results suggest a lenient grazing intensity to be most advantageous for butterflies. The findings are presented in relation to abundance of flower heads as well as to sward surface height and its heterogeneity
