METODE BERCERITA MEDIA GAMBAR SERI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PERBENDAHARAAN KATA SISWA TUNARUNGU KELAS IV
ABSTRACTHearing impairment was a student who had disturbance in hearing function. The main problem of hearing impairment students was ability in speech mastery. Although they had good enough intelligence potency even perhaps upper average however they were less in developing their intelligence function. Hearing impairment students was difficult to understand concept so that it was often found that hearing impairment students had speech mastery pattern deviating from the norm of Indonesian structure. This research had purpose to know the influence of telling story method with a series of picture media toward vocabulary ability to the fourth class of hearing impairment students in SDLB Negeri Tompokersan Lumajang. The approach used in this research was quantitative and the research kind was sign test with the design “one group pre-test – post-test design”. The data collection method used test and documentation, the data analysis technique used statistic non parametric with ”willcoxon” formula. The research result around the influence of telling story method with a series of picture media toward vocabulary ability to hearing impairment students was Z = 2.05 > Z table = 1.96 to significant level 5%. It proved that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted so that it could be concluded that speech guide program based total communication toward speech ability to hearing impairment students gave significant influence. Keywords: Telling story a series of picture media, vocabulary
Pengaruh Permainan Edukatif di Luar Kelas pada Motorik Kasar Siswa Autis di TK Inklusi
This research was used to improve gross motor development in autistic children at the Star Kids Jember Inclusion Kindergarten through educational games outside the classroom. The subjects of this study amounted to 6 people. Data collection techniques from this study used observation, interviews and documentation. Non-parametric statistics are a type of Wilcoxon test which is also applied in this study. Research on a group taken in trials, not compared and samples not randomly selected is the type of research used, quantitative data analysis in the form of mathematical numbers and data collection using research instruments is a type of pre-experimental research. Quantitative approach is used in this research. Due to the variety of information using research instruments, the examination of information is quantitative in nature as a purely numerical figure intended to test established speculations. The aftereffects of the review show that outdoor games have a huge effect on autistic children, especially gross motor skills. In outdoor games n gross engine improvement in autistic kids, it can be seen from the results of research from data processing using the Wilcoxon formula and obtained t value = 2.202, which means that the outcomes showed that there was a critical impact between outdoor games in autistic kids, especially gross coordinated movements in Jember Star Kids Inclusion school
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Development of Bahasa Indonesia Instructional in the Theme of Animal Around Me by Using Multimedia Animation Based Learning for Students with Hearing Impairment
Implementation of learning with the theme of animals around me has a problem that is hearing impairment students in class IV do not understand what the names and concepts of animals in the environment, so that, in daily life, the students can not interact with the surrounding environment properly. As a result, the learning outcomes is low. Therefore, it needs an innovative and creative learning. The purpose of this study is to produce a multimedia animation based learning prototype of Bahasa Indonesia materials with the theme of animal around me for hearing impairment students. This research development using the Borg and Gall (2007) development model was carried out in 9 stages due to limited time and cost, namely: (1) identification (2) analysis (3) analyzing problems (4) research objectives (5) instrument assessment (6) strategy (7) developing teaching materials (8) Selecting themes (9) Expert validation. Data collection used questionnaires, pretest and posttest. The results of data collection techniques is the feasibility of teaching materials based on multimedia learning animation for hearing impairment students. The results of the Z sign test analysis showed that 2.202 were greater than the critical value α = 5%, namely 1.96, it could be analyzed that there was effectiveness in terms of the level of mastery of bahasa Indonesia teaching materials with the themes of animal around me based on multimedia animation learning in SDLB Negeri Tompokersan Lumajang.
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Pengaruh Metode Direct Instruction Terhadap Pengucapan Kata Siswa Disabilitas Fisik Kelas IV di SDLB YPAC Jember
This research aimed to examine the effect of the Direct Instruction method on word pronunciation skills in a fourth-grade student with physical disabilities at SDLB YPAC Jember. The research employed a single-subject methodology that includes an A-B model. The participant was a fourth-grade student, identified by the initial S, who has a physical disability. This study consisted of two phases: a baseline step consisting belonging to five sessions without any intervention, and an intervention phase spanning ten sessions using the Direct Instruction method. Data were collected through practical word pronunciation tests and analyzed descriptively, focusing on both within-phase progress and comparisons between phases. The results showed a noticeable improvement in the student’s pronunciation ability. During the baseline phase, the student’s average pronunciation score was 65%, which increased to 80% after the intervention. This 15-point improvement indicated a positive trend. Furthermore, the overlap percentage between the two phases was only 20%, demonstrating a considerable effect of the Direct Instruction approach to the student’s pronunciation skills. In conclusion, the Direct Instruction approach proved successful at enhancing word pronunciation intended for students who have physical disabilities. Which is therefore recommended as an alternative instructional strategy for special education teachers to support the development of students' verbal communication skills
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
