The global economic system is based on a model of consumption and production that relies heavily on fossil fuels and other unsustainable practices. Human action, under the technological and economic impetus, now has the capacity to transform our living conditions, or even destroy them. The power given to mankind by techno science has made him a threat not only to himself but also to the entire biosphere. Thus, how can we overcome the environmental crisis situation in a world in which technical civilization has taken control? The problem at this level is that of domain control, that is to say, the regulation of our technical power. The ethical paradigm, therefore, needs to be changed. The aim of this work is to present, from the analytical method, the ethics of Jonas’ responsibility as a new paradigm for sustainable and ecological development in so far as it includes a dimension of prevention that is inscribed in the future.
The care relationship is one of the multiple relationships that human beings maintain throughout their lives. It is built around the paramedic-patient relationship. The paramedic is the holder of medical power, while the patient is afflicted and crushed by suffering and the illness. Today, as in the past, we repeatedly hear accusations about the absence of humanity in the healthcare relationship between the paramedic and the patient, and vice versa. These various accusations provide an opportunity to question the fundamental place of humanity in the healthcare relationship. In formulating his morality through his categorical imperative, Emmanuel Kant raises the issue of humanity as a principle of action. The fundamental idea is that human beings must be respected because they are human beings, an end in themselves. The aim of this article is to study the ethical-practice implications of the Kantian categorical imperative in the healthcare relationship, because if there is a place where the individual must be treated as an end in itself and not as a means to an end, it is in healthcare establishments. Indeed, what does it mean for patients and paramedics to treat humanity in themselves and in others as an end? This is the main theme of this research.
Ricoeur’s interest in bioethical issues is well established. The purpose of this article is to proceed, from ricœurian intuitions on recognition, to a hermeneutics of the care relationship by showing that this can also be understood as a journey of recognition that one places oneself on the caregiver side or patient side. Recognition unleashes this movement in which caregiver and patient take on the challenge of living together while respecting each other's autonomy.
Illness is an ordeal for the patient, his relatives and the nursing staff. Its appearance in the human’s life is always a source of anguish for the patient and those around him. This anxiety is all the greater when the care is not effective or when the nursing staff does not assume its role: the patient's care. In the face of poor care, doubts may arise as to whether the patient belongs to the human community. The aim of this reflection is to show that the patient, despite the illness and the physical and psychological degradation, remains a human being in his own right because humanity or dignity is not ‘‘biodegradable’’. Illness can be seen as an ethical challenge to take care of the ‘‘capable man’’ who has become a ‘‘suffering man’’.La maladie est une épreuve pour le patient, ses proches ainsi que pour le personnel soignant.

The appearance of an illness in the life of an individual is always a source of anxiety and worry for him and those around him: that is why he goes to meet the caregiver. The main objective of this meeting is to take care of the patient to improve their health. Despite the multitude of reflections on this topic, the care relationship still raises questions. One of the ethical questions that the protagonists of this relationship ask themselves is how to do the right thing? The object of this study is to see how this singular encounter can be thought about from Kantian questions: What can I know? What ought I to do? For what may I hope? In fact, these can be considered as an analytical tool to better understand the care relationship. This work proposes starting from these Kantian questions to better apprehend and understand the medical rationality that unfolds in the patient-caregiver relationship where the two protagonists are all reasonable beings.

Since the XVIII century, we have witnessed a concealment of death in western society. From now on, the discourse on death is the responsibility of medicine, which gives it technical answers; which contributes to the medicalization of the end of life. Faced with suffering, anguish and loneliness, the act of shortening life seems, therefore, the only solution to help the patient. From there arises a certain right, “the right to die” or “the right to die with dignity”. What does the right to die mean? Can we talk of a right when it comes to death? Faced with an incurable patient or at the end of life, is the ethical and medical question to deliberately kill him or take care of him? This article aims to reflect with Jonas on the “right to die” and highlight his ethical and medical involvement in the care of patients at the end of life. According to Jonas, the right to die represents an extreme in the scope of medical practices and is a call to seek the best humane and dignified conditions for a life that is about to end.
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
