    Increasing Nitrogen Fertilizer Efficiency on Wetland Rice by Using Humic Acid

    The objective of the research was to study the interaction between dose of humic acid and nitrogen fertilizer on the growth and yield of  rice. The experiment was conducted in May until September 2014 in Sukamanah village Cipedes sub-district Tasikmalaya city. A field experiment was done using as split plot design consisted of two factors. The dosage of humic acid were placed as main plot consisted of four levels i.e. 0 kg ha-1, 3 kg ha-1, 4 kg ha-1, and 5 kg ha-1; and the rate of N fertilizer, as subplot, consisted of 4 levels i.e.0 kg N ha-1, 45 kg  N ha-1, 67.5 kg  N ha-1, and 90 kg N ha-1. The variables observed were: (a) the levels of soil organic C before and after treatment, (b) the levels of crop N, and (c) the components of growth and yield. Nitrogen fertilizer efficiency was expressed in terms of  agronomic efficiency of nitrogen (AEN). The results showed that the growth and yield of rice given humic acid was higher than that without humi cacid. The increasing dose of humic acid i.e. 3 kg ha-1, 4 kg ha-1, and 5 kg ha-1 did not have significant effect. A higher response on growth and grain yield was shown at the dose of humic acid 3 kg ha-1. Nitrogen fertilizer gave significant effect on all growth variables and yield of rice. The higher the level of nitrogen fertilizer up to a certain level (i.e. 67.5 kg N ha-1 or equals to 150 kg  Urea ha-1), the higher would be the effect on all growth variables and yield. The increase in weight of grain ha-1 due to the increased level of nitrogen fertilizer compared to those without nitrogen fertilizer (control) were respectively 58.05% at 45 kgha-1 N, 150.54% at 67.5 kg  ha-1 N, and 168.13% at 90 kg ha-1 N. Humic acid increased the efficiency of N fertilizer. The most efficient dose of N fertilizer was 67 kg ha-1, equal to 150 kg ha-1 combined with humic acid 3 kg ha-1.     Kontribusi Faktor Intelektual dan Non-intelektual terhadap Kesuksesan Belajar Siswa di SMA

    Tujuan kegiatan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah adalah membantu mengembang kanpotensi siswa seluas-luasnya. Salah satu bentuk pengembangan potensi tersebut adalah penjurusan/peminatan. Mengingat aspek yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam penjurusan ini bervariasi dan diprediksi tidak efektif, penelitian ini mengkaji aspek-aspek mana yang memiliki pengaruh kuat terhadap kesuksesan dalam belajar. Aspek tersebutadalah inteligensi, bakat, kepribadian dan minat. Penelitian ini menghasilkan panduan bagi guru BK dalam membantu mengarahkan siswanya. Subjek penelitiannya adalah beberapa SMA di wilayah Bandung Raya. Penelitiannya menggunakan pendekatan expost facto.Teknik pengumpulan data dengan studi dokumentasi. Subjek dikategorikan kedalam kelompok unggul dan asor untuk setiap jurusan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan kualifikasi inteligensi antara siswa unggul dan siswa asor; (2) prestasi yang dicapai dikaitkan dengan kesuksesan yang dicapai menunjukkan adanya gejala underachiever; (3) siswa unggul memiliki bakat yang lebih baik dibanding dengan siswa asor; (4) aspek bakat yang menunjang terhadap kesuksesan di jurusan IPA adalah kemampuan realitas, fleksibilitas berfikir, kemampuan abstraksi, kemampuan hitung praktis, kemampuan hitung teoretis, dan kemampuan analisis-sintesis. Aspek bakat yang memiliki daya prediksi terhadap kesuksesan di IPS adalah kemampuan realitas, kemampuan bahasa, fleksibilitas berfikir, dan kemampuan hitung praktis. Sedangkan aspek bakat yang memiliki prediksi terhadap kesuksesan bahasa adalah kemampuan abstraksi, dan kemampuan tiga dimensi; (5) tidak terdapat aspek kepribadian yang memiliki prediksi kuat terhadap kesuksesan belajar; Siswa unggul IPA memiliki kebutuhan tingggi dalam achievement, intraception, affiliation, dan endurance. Siswa unggul kelompok IPS dan Bahasa berkebutuhan tinggi dalam affiliation, dan succorance; (6) Bidang pekerjaan yang diminati oleh jurusan IPA adalah bidang scientific, dan musical, siswa kelompok IPS meminati bidang Musical dan personal contact, dan kelompok Bahasa meminati bidang musical dan literary The purpose of the guidance and counseling activities at the school is to help students develop their potentials widely. One of the potential developments is in choosing a major or a specialization. As there are various aspects that need to be considered in choosing the major, this research investigated which aspects that have strong influence on success in learning, such as intelligence, aptitud, personality and interest. This research produced a guidance for counselors to help them in directing their students. The subjects of this research were some high schools in Bandung Raya. Research methodology used ex-post facto approach, and data collection technique was the study of documentation. Subjects were classified into upper groups and lower groups for any major. The result of this study shows that (1) there was a difference qualification between high achievers and low achievers in intelligence aspect; (2) the student achievement was lower than their potential ability which showed an underachiever symptom; (3) upper group showed better aptitude than lower group; (4) Aptitude aspects that support academic success in science program were reality ability, flexibility in thinking, abstract thinking, practical mathematical thinking, theoretical mathematical and analytic-synthesis. On the other hand, aptitude aspects that influenced academic success in social program were reality thinking, language ability, flexibility thinking and practical mathematical thinking. Aptitude aspects that influenced academic success in language program are abstraction ability, and three-dimension ability; (5) there was no certain personality aspect that influence study success directly.     The Effect of Soil Moisture Content and Animal Manure Application on the Growth of Mendong (Fimbristylis globulosa (Retz.) Kunt)

    The objective of the research was to study the interaction between soil moisture content and animal manure application on the growth of Mendong (Fimbristylis globulosa (Retz.) Kunt). The experiment was conducted in May until September 2016 in Kampung Lembur Sawah, Kamulyan Village, Manonjaya Subdistrict, Tasikmalaya Regency. A pot experiment was performed using a factorial design consisting of two factors and three replicates. The factors were soil moisture content (K) consisting of four levels i.e. k1 (100% field capacity (FC)), k2 (150% FC), k3 (200% FC), and k4 (250% FC); and animal manure application (P) consisting of p1 (cattle manure), p2 (broiler chicken manure), and p3 (sheep manure). The indicators of plant growth, i.e. plant height, number of tiller, fresh weight and dry weight of plant biomass, shoot/root ratio, percentage of  the >75cm-long stems, water consumption, and water use efficiency (WUE) were measured.  The results showed that  there was an interaction effect between the soil moisture content and animal manure application on the number of tiller at 45 days after planting (DAP), the percentage of the >75 cm-long stems, and the water consumption. The sheep manure application at any levels of soil moisture content resulted in better effect on the growth of Mendong, water use efficiency, and quality of stem (the percentage of the >75cm-long stems). The soil moisture content above the field capacity resulted in better effect on the growth of Mendong, indicating that Mendong is more suitable to grow on the land with the soil moisture content above the field capacity or saturated soil during the whole growing period. Keywords: Manure, Mendong, soil moisture conten

    Pembelajaran abad 21 menuntut guru untuk memiliki keterampilan yang mampu membekali peserta didik bersaing di era global.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keterampilan 4C (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, dan Collaborative) yang dimiliki guru bahasa Indonesia untuk mewujudkan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tantangan zaman. Keterampilan tersebut diperlukan untuk menyiapkan peserta didik menjadi sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang mampu beradaptasi dan dapat memanfaatkan teknologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data studi pustaka dan wawancara kepada guru bahasa Indonesia. Studi pustaka dilakukan dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber yang relevan seperti buku dan jurnal. Wawancara dilakukan kepada empat orang guru bahasa Indonesia SMA negeri dan swasta. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, analisis, kemudian penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa Indonesia sudah memiliki keterampilan 4C sebagai keterampilan yang diperlukan oleh pendidik pada abad 21.     MENGANDALKAN MODEL INTERNET UNTUK MEMPERSEMPIT KESENJANGAN ANTARA PENDIDIKAN PERKOTAAN DAN PEDESAAN DI TIONGKOK

    Kesenjangan pendidikan antara daerah perkotaan dan pedesaan merupakan masalah yang signifikan di Tiongkok. Artikel ini membahas bagaimana model internet dapat digunakan untuk mempersempit kesenjangan tersebut. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, kami menganalisis berbagai inisiatif pendidikan berbasis internet yang telah diimplementasikan di Tiongkok, serta tantangan dan solusi yang dihadapinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internet memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di daerah pedesaan, tetapi keberhasilan inisiatif ini sangat tergantung pada infrastruktur yang memadai dan program literasi digital.     This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in overcoming class retention. This research used a case study method with a qualitative approach. The informants in the study were teachers and the deputy principal for curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Tempilang, West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. Data collection techniques were conducted by interview, questionnaire distribution, observation, and documentation. This research data analysis technique used an interactive model analysis, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicated that implementing the Merdeka Curriculum could overcome the problem of class retention. The policy's success in avoiding class retention relied heavily on the realization of planning, implementation, and assessment that prioritized essential principles in the Merdeka Curriculum. Curriculum implementation had to be carried out by referring to various regulations, instructions, and guidelines for implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in terms of planning, implementing learning, and assessing. The success of the Merdeka Curriculum in overcoming class retention required the active role of all components of education, starting from teachers, principals, related institutions, parents, and students
