Analisis kesulitan siswa pada materi teorema Pythagoras ditinjau dari kemampuan numerik
This study aims to analyze the difficulties of junior high school students in solving mathematics problems on the Pythagorean Theorem material in terms of numerical ability based on the limitations of specific studies on numerical barriers affecting students' accuracy in applying the Pythagorean concept. The approach used is qualitative with a case study method. The research subjects consisted of 24 ninth-grade students at an Islamic junior high school in East Karawang, selected through purposive sampling based on the subject teacher's recommendations regarding learning barrier characteristics. The instruments used were a numerical ability test, Pythagorean Theorem questions, and interview guidelines. The results showed that the majority of students had low numerical ability and experienced difficulties in various indicators, such as performing calculations, thinking logically, problem solving, and recognizing number patterns. Even students with high numerical ability still had difficulty determining the slant side in Pythagorean problems. These findings indicate the importance of considering numerical ability in the learning process to develop more targeted and personalized learning methods
Application of geogebra in online learning on pattern recognition ability analytical geometry course
This study aims to analyze the effect of GeoGebra implementation in online learning on students' pattern recognition skills in Analytical Geometry courses. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. Participants were students enrolled in an online Analytical Geometry class. The subjects taken were one class. The instruments used included a pattern recognition ability test consisting of 3 questions and an observation sheet for learning activities. Pattern recognition indicators are recognizing patterns, similarities, and connections. The results showed a significant effect of GeoGebra implementation on students' pattern recognition skills. The effect size calculation results showed a score of 0.99, which is included in the very large category. The overall mean score was 82.47 and the standard deviation was 7.12. The use of GeoGebra effectively helped students visualize abstract geometric concepts. Digital visualization through GeoGebra minimizes inaccuracies that often occur when drawings are created manually, thus enabling students to identify geometric patterns and regularities more clearly. Membangun jiwa wirausaha sejak dini: Pembekalan persiapan market day
Pendidikan kewirausahaan sejak dini memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk pola pikir kreatif, inovatif, dan mandiri pada anak-anak. Artikel ini membahas strategi pembekalan siswa dalam persiapan Market Day sebagai upaya menanamkan jiwa wirausaha di tingkat sekolah dasar. Melalui pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis praktik, siswa diperkenalkan pada konsep perencanaan produk, strategi pemasaran, serta manajemen keuangan sederhana. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa pembekalan ini meningkatkan pemahaman, keterampilan, serta kepercayaan diri siswa dalam berwirausaha. Pelatihan kewirausahaan kreatif berbasis produk lokal: UMKM Danisa Keripik
Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk menjawab tantangan yang dihadapi oleh UMKM Danisa Keripik dalam pengembangan inovasi produk, pengemasan, dan pemasaran. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kapasitas kewirausahaan kreatif pelaku UMKM berbasis potensi lokal melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan yang terstruktur. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan pelaku usaha, masyarakat, dan tim akademisi, dengan tahapan kegiatan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan, pelatihan interaktif, serta pendampingan pascapelatihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada aspek keterampilan inovasi produk, desain kemasan, dan kemampuan pemasaran digital. Peserta mampu mengembangkan variasi rasa baru, memperbaiki tampilan produk, serta memperluas jaringan pemasaran melalui media sosial. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan produktivitas dan penjualan hingga 40% dibandingkan sebelum pelatihan. Kegiatan ini juga berdampak positif terhadap tumbuhnya kemandirian dan kepercayaan diri pelaku usaha dalam mengelola bisnis secara berkelanjutan. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan kewirausahaan kreatif berbasis produk lokal ini terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat kapasitas ekonomi masyarakat dan dapat dijadikan model pemberdayaan berkelanjutan bagi UMKM di wilayah lain
Belajar sehat dengan ceria: Meningkatkan kesadaran CTPS anak SDN 06 dan SDN 09 Cibiru Bandung melalui pertunjukan wayang boneka tangan
Prevalensi diare pada anak sekolah di Jawa Barat sangat tinggi, menempatkan provinsi ini sebagai salah satu dari sepuluh wilayah dengan kasus terbanyak di Indonesia. Kabupaten Bandung sendiri menjadi daerah dengan kasus diare tertinggi kedua, yaitu 5.592 kasus, dengan jumlah tertinggi pada kelompok usia 5–14 tahun mencapai 12.806 kasus. Kondisi ini menunjukkan perlunya edukasi kesehatan yang tepat bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang pencegahan, pengenalan, dan penanganan diare sehingga dapat mendukung kesehatan dan kehadiran mereka di sekolah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dimulai dengan analisis situasi untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan perencanaan program, advokasi kepada pemangku kebijakan, serta penguatan dukungan sosial melalui tokoh masyarakat. Tahap pelaksanaan mencakup penyuluhan kesehatan dan intervensi edukatif melalui pertunjukan wayang boneka tangan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan siswa tentang Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun (CTPS), dari nilai rata-rata pre-test 9,95 menjadi 11,41 pada post-test. Sikap siswa juga membaik, dari rata-rata 140,64 menjadi 146,82. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa media wayang boneka tangan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan sikap siswa terhadap praktik CTPS sebagai upaya pencegahan diare
KONSELING INDIVIDU UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMANDIRIAN SANTRI DI SPM ULA I’DAAD SHIGOR DAARUL QUR’AN
This study aims to enhance the independence of early-age students (santri) at the Tahfizh Shigor Daarul Qur’an Islamic Boarding School through individual counseling services utilizing positive reinforcement techniques. The research is motivated by the low level of independence observed among students, as indicated by their reliance on others for completing daily tasks. Contributing factors include permissive parenting styles, lack of early training, and unfamiliarity with the boarding school environment. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving two students identified as having low levels of independence. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The counseling process involved the application of positive reinforcement in the form of social rewards such as praise and applause, alongside a psychodynamic approach to explore the psychological roots of the students’ behavior. The results indicate a significant improvement in the students’ independence, as reflected in their ability to complete tasks on their own, increased intrinsic motivation to learn, and freedom in setting learning goals without dependence on others. Therefore, individual counseling combined with positive reinforcement proves to be an effective strategy in fostering and strengthening student independence in the pesantren environment
PENGARUH POLA ASUH NEGLECTFUL ORANG TUA TERHADAP EMPATI SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 21 SAMARINDA TAHUN AJARAN 2024/2025
This study was motivated by the low level of empathy among students at SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda, as revealed by preliminary observations and interviews. The study aimed to determine whether neglectful parenting patterns had an effect on student empathy at SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda. It used a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto research design. The population in this study consisted of 67 students from grades 7 and 8 who were obtained from the results of a screening test. The sample in this study used a saturated sample. The data analysis technique in this study used a simple linear regression test with the help of SPSS for Windows version 26. The results showed that F = 30.406 > 3.99 with Sig. 0.000 < 0.05, so H_a was accepted. The results proved that there was a significant effect of neglectful parenting on empathy, with a regression coefficient of -0.353, indicating a negative effect. This means that the higher the neglectful parenting pattern, the lower the empathy among students at SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda. Conversely, the lower the neglectful parenting pattern, the higher the empathy among students at SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda
DISCREPANCY MANAJEMEN LAYANAN KONSELING INDIVIDUAL DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS
Guidance and Counseling (BK) management in schools plays a strategic role in student development, yet its implementation often faces obstacles in meeting the Operational Implementation Guidelines (POP) standards. This study aims to identify the discrepancy between the ideal POP BK standards and the actual implementation of individual counseling management at SMA Negeri 4 Surabaya. This study employed an evaluative approach using the Discrepancy Evaluation Model (DEM) to assess Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC) aspects. Data were collected via interviews, observations, and documentation to compare actual conditions with established standards. The results show that overall, individual counseling management complies with standards, but implementation is not yet comprehensive. Significant discrepancies were found in the counseling process, which lacked theoretical adherence, needs assessments limited to AKPD instruments, and outcome evaluation and follow-up restricted to monitoring without in-depth analysis. While service management is functional, strengthening counselors' professional competence and developing data-driven evaluation systems are necessary to optimize counseling effectiveness
Error Analysis in Writing Narrative Text of Seventh Graders of Secondary School
This study aims to identify and examine errors commonly committed by seventh grade students. It was conducted to support teachers improve the students’ writing proficiency in English by identifying students’ weaknesses and mistakes in using the language in the written medium. A class of 30 students was selected to participate in this research which they were asked to write an essay about narrative text. The essays were subjected to error analysis by using a criterion for grade 7 English standards which was adapted from Chanquoy’s error classification. The results were then analysed and validated. They significantly showed that students had weaknesses in the use of punctuation, grammar (specifically verb tenses), and capitalization. Other mistakes included spelling, subject-verb agreement, preposition, conjunction, and pronouns. The results are expected to help English teachers to develop their classroom strategies and emphasize more on the common mistakes made by the students. In this regard, students are expected to improve their writing skills, specifically in those topic areas
Digital Storytelling and EFL Students’ Engagement in Developing Speaking Skills
This study aimed to explore the students’ behavioral, cognitive, and emotional engagement in English speaking learning through the digital storytelling (DST) project. This case study research was conducted at a private senior high school in Karawang, West Java. The participants in this study were 14 eleventh-grade students. The data were collected by observation, interview, and students’ reflective journals. Six of the fourteen students voluntarily participated in the interview to obtain their views on the DST project. The results of the study revealed that students showed positive responses in behavioral engagement because they completed their project and constantly paid full attention in class. Secondly, the DST project also cognitively involved the students, both in speaking skills and in using technology. Finally, the students' emotional engagement was positive during this DST project, as they felt happy sharing their hobbies through a digital platform
