The Diversity of Insect in Paddy Field in Karawang, West Java with Different Pest Management Techniques
The practice of rice crop cultivation will affect the trophic structure and the diversity of insects that are formed. One of the common cultivation practices carried out by farmers was the control of pests by using pesticides. This study aimed to find out which pest management strategies that are effective in maintaining environmental health and understanding how natural enemies were affected by the application of synthetic pesticides. The first treatment was paddy field with integrated pest management (IPM), the second treatment was conventional rice field with a technique of chemical pest management (C-T), while the third treatment was mixed pest management (M-T). Insect sampling was conducted using sweep net, pitfall trap, and direct observation for 10 weeks after planting. Overall, it was found 100 morphospecies, 9 Orders, 56 families, with a total abundance of 6242 individuals per planting season. Based on functional roles it was found 39% as herbivores, 30% as predators, and 14% as parasitoids, 1% pollinators, and 13% decomposers. High insect diversity and abundance were found in the plots using low synthetic pesticides. The C-T control plot had a lower relative abundance of herbivorous insects, parasitoid insects, predators, and decomposers than the other control plots. H\u27 and D index in the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Mixed Pest Management (M-T) plots did not show significant differences but differed significantly from the Chemical Control plot (C-T). Therefore, controlling the herbivore insects could apply the pest management based on IPM strategies.

Fluctuation of Insect Population on Rice Field in Pangkalan Sub-district Karawang Regency: Indicator for Environmental Health
Pangkalan Sub-district is a forest edge area in Karawang that is rich in flora and fauna that has not been much identified. Because of its unique location that is bordered by primary forest, agricultural ecosystems in the area will not be separated from the influence of the surrounding forest. So, it is necessary to know more about the diversity and abundance of insects in the wetland rice ecosystems.The research was conducted in Pangkalan sub-district, Karawang regency. The size of each plot was 5 x 5 m (25 m2) and each treatment was repeated five times. Treatments carried out with integrated pest management (IPM), chemical pest management techniques (P-K), and Mixed Pest Management (P-C). Insect retrieval technique using sweep net method, yellow pan trap, and direct observation. The abundance of arthropod species found in 12 Orders consist of: Thysanoptera Order (2.4%), Orthoptera (0.5%), Odonata (1.4%), Mantodea (0%), Lepidoptera (8.7%), Hymenoptera (2.4%), Hemiptera (61.8%), Diptera (2.4%), Derma ptera (3.6%), Coleoptera (8.3%), Architaenioglossa (0.5%), and Aranea (8.0%). Based on the species richness, it was found that the orders of Diptera (25 species), Coleoptera (19 species), and Hymenoptera (18 species) showed higher numbers than other orders. The H 'diversity index in this study ranged from 1.99 to 2.45, the D index ranged from 0.73 to 0.88, and the E index ranged from 0.5 to 0.7. Overall the P-K plots showed a lower population abundance compared to IPM and P-C plots. Intense and scheduled spraying of insecticides on P-K plots causes a lower population abundance, which makes the diversity become low. Pengaruh Kombinasi Mikro Organisme Lokal Bonggol Pisang Dan Pupuk Npk Terhadap Pertumbuhan Tanaman Jagung Manis (Zea mays saccharata strurt L.) Varietas Bonanza
One of the limiting factors for sweet corn plant growth is nutrients. The state of nutrients in the soil will determine the yield of sweet corn. To achieve optimum results sweet corn plants require adequate nutrient input. Nutrients are one of the important factors that affect plant growth and development. Fertilization as nutrient fulfillment can be done through the application of a combination of micro organism local (Mol) fertilizer banana hump and NPK compound fertilizer. Provision of micro organisms local and NPK compound fertilizers on sweet corn plants is useful for accelerating the destruction of organic matter, can also serve as additional nutrients and nutrients needed by plants, so as to increase growth and yield of sweet corn plants as expected. The research method used is an experimental method using a single factor randomized block design (RBD). The number of treatments used in this study were 10 treatments which were repeated 3 times. So there are 30 experimental units. The treatments were as follows: A. 300 kg/ha NPK, B. 10 l/ha Mol + 300 kg/ha NPK, C. 20 l/ha Mol + 300 kg/ha NPK, D. 30 l/ha Mol + 300 kg/ha NPK, E. 10 l/ha Mol + 250 kg/ha NPK, F. 20 l/ha Mol + 250 kg/ha NPK, G. 30 l/ha Mol + 250 kg/ha NPK, H. 10 l/ha Mol + 200 kg/ha NPK, I. 20 l/ha Mol + 200 kg/ha NPK, J. 30 l/ha Mol + 200 kg/ha NPK, K. No fertilizer (control). The results showed that the combination of micro organisms local of banana weevil and NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on the growth components. Treatment G with 30 l/ha MOL + 250 kg/ha NPK gave the highest yield of growth components
PENGARUH KOMBINASI NUTRISI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN SELADA MERAH (Lactuca sativa var. Lollorosa) PADA HIDROPONIK SISTEM WICK
Lettuce is a plant whose leaves are taken to be used as vegetables or salad. The purpose of this study was to obtain a combination of nutrients that can increase the growth and best yield of red lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. Lollorosa) with hydroponic wick system. The research method used in this study was a single-factor Randomized Group Design (RAK) consisting of 7 treatments repeated 4 times. The treatments applied were A (AB Mix 3.2 EC), B (AB Mix 1.5 EC + Bayfolan 6 ml), C (AB Mix 1.8 EC + Bayfolan 3 ml), D (AB Mix 1.2 EC + Bayfolan 9 ml), E (AB Mix 1.5 EC + POC 6 ml), F (AB Mix 1.8 EC + POC 3 ml), and G (AB Mix 1.2 EC + POC 9 ml). Giving a combination of nutrients gives a real effect on the growth and yield of red lettuce plants (Lactuca sativa var. Lollorosa) at the age of 2 weeks after planting, 3 weeks after planting, 4 weeks after planting, 5 weeks after planting. Number of leaves at plant age 3 weeks and 5 weeks. Leaf area, root length, fresh weight of plants with roots, fresh weight of plants without roots. Treatment E, namely AB Mix 1.5 EC + POC 6 ml, gave the highest results on plant height, which was 20.96 cm, root length of 26.94 cm, leaf area of 100 cm2, fresh weight with roots of 13.3 g, and fresh weight without roots of 11.49 g
 
Peningkatan Kualitas Fisika Tanah Guna Efisiensi Air Melalui Pengkayaan Media Tanam Dengan Kompos Plus Pada Budidaya Tanaman Jagung Manis
Soil physical characteristics play an important role in nutrient and water availability for plants. Dryland consist of marginal land has the potential to use as corn cultivation area. This research conducted in the shade house of PT. Pupuk Kujang Cikampek. Research started with producing of compost plus by using fungus cultivation medium enriched with Azotobacter sp. and Pseudomonas sp. Research designed using Factorial RBD. The first factor was doses of organic fertilizer consisting of without compost plus (0 tons compost plus ha-1), 50% recommended dosage (10 tons compost plus ha-1) and 100% recommended dosage (20 tons plus compost ha-1). The second factor was water volume with 4 levels of treatment consist of 25% volume of water field capacity, 75% volume of water field capacity, 100% volume of water field capacity and 50% volume of water field capacity. Calculation of water field capacity will be carried out with the gravimetric method. Physical characteristics of the soil were analyzed by referring to the analysis method of the Indonesian Center for Agricultural Research and Development in 2006. The results showed that the use of compost plus improved the quality of soil physical characteristics of corn cultivation in dry land such as water content, bulk density, soil porosity. The use of compost plus is able to substitute the water needs of corn plants was seen by the growth and yield of corn plants under water stress conditions with the addition of compost plus still have good performance and yield.Sifat fisik tanah memegang peranan penting dalam ketersediaan unsur hara dan air bagi tanaman. Tanah kering adalah salah satu tanah marginal yang memiliki potensi untuk digunakan sebagai lahan budidaya Jagung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Kasa PT. Pupuk Kujang Cikampek. Penelitian diawali dengan pembuatan kompos plus dengan menggunakan limbah media tanam jamur merang yang diperkaya dengan Azotobacter sp dan Pseudomonas sp. Penelitian dirancang dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk organik dengan taraf O1 = tanpa kompos plus (0 ton kompos plus ha-1), O2 = 50 % dosis anjuran (10 ton kompos plus ha-1) dan O3 = 100 % dosis anjuran (20 ton kompos plus ha-1). Faktor kedua adalah volume air dengan 4 taraf perlakuan yaituV1 = 25% volume air kapasitas lapang, V2 = 75% volume air kapasitas lapang, V3 = 100% volume airkapasitas lapang dan V4 = 150% volume air kapasitas lapang. Perhitungan kebutuhan air kapasitas lapang akan dilakukan dengan metode gravimetri. Sifat fisika tanah dianalisa dengan mengacu pada metode analisa Balai Besar Litbang Sumberdaya Lahan Pertanian tahun 2006. Hasil penelitian menunjukan penggunaan kompos plus dapat meningatkan kualitas sifat fisik tanah pada kegiatan budidaya tanaman jagung dilahan kering, seperti kadar air, bulk density, porositas tanah. Penggunaan kompos plus mampu mensubtitusi kebutuhan air tanaman Jagung terlihat dengan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman Jagung pada kondisi cekaman air namun diberikan kompos plus tetap memberikan performa dan hasil yang baik
Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Silika dan NPK Pada Jarak Tanam Berbeda Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Padi (oryza sativa l.) Varietas Ciherang
The silica content (Si) in the soil is decreasing, but in its repair efforts it still escapes the attention of farmers. The experiment was conducted in Experimental Station of Indonesia Center for Rice Research Sukamandi Jaua Village, Ciasem Subdistrick, West Java, from July to November 2020. The objective of the experiment was to get the best combination of silica fertilizer and NPK tailored to the plant plant spacing to increase the growth and yield of rice crops (Oryza sativa L.) Ciherang variety. The research was used experimental method it was arranged in split plot design with 8 threatments and 3 replications. As the main plot was the nurturing of NPK and silica consisting of 6 acts namely: S0 (control), S1 (100% NPK), S2 (100% NPK and 1000 kg/ha Si), S3 (75% NPK and 1000 kg/ha Si), S4 (50% NPK and 1000 kg/ha Si), S5 (100% NPK and 2000 kg/ha Si), S6 (75% NPK and 2000 kg/ha Si), and S7 (50% NPK and 2000 kg/ha Si). As subplot, the plant spacing consists of 2 treatments: P1 (25 x 25 cm) and P2 (40 x 20 x 10 cm). The results showed that there was no interaction between the combination of NPK and silica fertilizers and the plant spacing against all observation parameters. However, there was a real influence on the combination of NPK and silica fertilizer independently on plant height at 60 and 86 days after planting, the number of tillers at 60 days after planting, the number of panicles per m2, 1000 grains weight, and the grain yield. Meanwhile, in the treatment of plant spacing there was only a real influence independently on the number of tillers at 21-86 days after planting and the number of grains. Giving 100% NPK fertilizer and 1000 kg/ha silica with a plant spacing of 25 x 25 cm was the best combination because it was able to provide high yields on plant height parameters, number of tillers, 1000 grains weight and grain yield
PENGARUH PEMBERIAN DOSIS PUPUK KIESERITE (MgO) TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK MORFOLOGIS BIBIT KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) YANG BERBEDA DI MAIN NURSERY
Kelapa sawit merupakan tanaman perkebunan yang digunakan dalam usaha pertanian komersial untuk memproduksi minyak sawit. Pembibitannya terbagi menjadi dua tahap yaitu pembibitan awal (Prenursery) dan pembibitan utama (Main Nursery). Pembibitan kelapa sawit di Main Nursery membutuhkan tambahan unsur hara pada media tanamnya. Pemberian pupuk kieserite yang kaya akan unsur hara makro esensial akan meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman kelapa sawit di pembibitan utama (Main Nursery). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan dosis pupuk kieserit yang memberikan pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) tertinggi pada varietas berbeda di Main Nursery. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan perlakuan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial 2 faktor dan masing-masing diulang sebanyak 4 kali dengan 3 tanaman sampel. Faktor yang pertama adalah varietas kelapa sawit (v) yang terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu, v1 (varietas DxP Yangambi) dan v2 (varietas DyxP Dumpy) sedangkan faktor yang kedua adalah dosis pupuk kieserite (k) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu, k1 (6 gram/bibit), k2 (9 gram/bibit), k3 (12 gram/bibit). Hasil analisis menunjukan interaksi antara varietas kelapa sawit dan dosis pupuk kieserite pada parameter tinggi tanaman, panjang helaian daun, lebar helaian daun, jumlah helaian daun per pelepah, jumlah pelepah per tanaman dan panjang pelepah pada umur 44, 46, 48, 50 dan 52 mst. Varietas DyxP Dumpy dengan dosis 6 gram/bibit (v2k1) memberikan hasil tertinggi pada tinggi tanaman, panjang helaian, lebar helaian, jumlah helaian daun per pelepah, jumlah pelepah per tanaman dan panjang pelepah. Sedangkan pada varietas DxP Yangambi dengan dosis pupuk 9 g/bibit (v1k2) merupakan perlakuan terbaik pada parameter panjang helaian, lebar helaian, jumlah helaian daun dan jumlah pelepah per tanaman
PENGARUH APLIKASI KONSENTRASI POC KEONG MAS TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN KEDELAI (Glycine max L.) VARIETAS NUANSA SANGGABUANA
Kedelai merupakan tanaman polong yang menjadi sumber protein bagi sebagian besar masyarakat di Indonesia. Produksi kedelai di Indonesia cenderung terus menurun akibat adanya degradasi lahan, diperlukan pemberian pupuk organik cair keong mas untuk meningkatkan serapan hara dan meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman kedelai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen, dengan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal, terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair (POC) keong mas terdiri dari P0 (kontrol), P1 (200 ml/l), P2 (300 ml/l), P3 (400 ml/l), P4 (500 ml/l). Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan analisis sidik ragam dan diuji lanjut dengan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, terdapat pengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bagan warna daun, bobot polong basah, bobot polong kering dan bobot 100 biji. Perlakuan P4 (500 ml/l) memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap tinggi tanaman (11,24-30,79 cm), jumlah daun (6,73-18,03 helai), bobot polong basah (498,80 gram), bobot polong kering (283,60 gram) dan bobot 100 biji (21,80 gram)
PENGARUH JARAK TANAM DAN BOBOT UMBI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN KENTANG (SOLANUM TUBEROSUM L.) GENERASI SATU (G1) VARIETAS GRANOLA
Kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) adalah salah satu jenis sayuran subtropis yang populer di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan jarak tanam dan bobot umbi yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik terhadap tanaman kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) generasi satu (G1) varietas Granola. Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan UPTD Balai Benih Kentang, Desa Sukamanah, Kecamatan Pangalengan, Kabupaten Bandung, pada bulan Juli sampai bulan Oktober 2021. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok faktorial terdiri dari 9 perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan, faktor pertama adalah jarak tanam dengan 3 taraf J1 = 70 x 25 cm, J2 = 70 x 30 cm, J3 = 70 x 35 cm. Faktor kedua adalah bobot umbi dengan 3 taraf U1 = 60 gram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat interaksi antara jarak tanam dan bobot umbi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) generasi satu (G1) varietas granola. Secara mandiri perlakuan jarak tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot umbi/tanaman. Secara mandiri perlakuan bobot umbi berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 35 hst dan 49 hst dan jumlah umbi/petak. Perlakuan jarak tanam J3 (70 cm × 35 cm) memberikan hasil tertinggi bobot umbi per tanaman sebesar 1.394,57 g/tanaman. Perlakuan bobot umbi U2 (30 – 60 gram) memberikan hasil tertinggi pada pengamatan tinggi tanaman umur 35 hst dan 49 hst masing-masing yaitu 37,79 cm dan 54,54 cm dan jumlah umbi/tanaman sebesar 27,67 knol
Pengaruh Jenis Media Tanam Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Kale (Brassica oleracea var. Acephala) Pada Hidroponik Sistem Wick
Kale are plants that have a variety of nutrients that are good for the body, but there is a land function change that causes land to be cultivated is decreasing which is a production problem that can be overcome using the hydroponics wick system. This study aims to obtain the best treatment of the type of planting media for the growth and yield of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. Acephala) on the hydroponics of the wick system. The research was carried out at the Telaga Desa screen house located in the KIIC Industrial Estate, Telukjambe Timur District, Karawang Regency from May to June 2022. The research method used was an experimental method with a single-factor group Randomized Block Design (RBD) environment design consisting of 8 treatments with 3 tests. The data is analyzed with a variety analysis and if the F test of 5% level shows significantly different results, it will be continued with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) test at a level of 5%. The treatment of the type of husk charcoal media + peatmoss ratio (2: 1) gave the highest yield on the average plant height of 28.13 cm, on the number of leaves which was 18.79 strands, in the stem diameter which was 6.51 mm, on the leaf area of 64.80 cm², at the root length of 37.03 cm, and the fresh weight of the roots was 20.19 grams
